Leading actor Arthur Chen
Such intense gaze from ML Arthur Chen, making my heart fluttered each time 🙂This reminds me of another ML in Amidst a snowstorm of love played by Leo Wu. I love the chemistry shown by ML and FL in that drama but not so much in Lighter and Princess, possibly because at times the emotions shown by actress Zhang Jingyi are not so believable. Having said that, they’re still young and have lots of potentials.
I am still half way through and am not sure if I should finish watching it. I might continue just to watch how the relationship progresses between the leading roles when they reconnect and continue to admire the gaze from our leading man!

Incredibly moving tale of found family
Beautiful acting, chemistry, and storytelling. I don’t give 10/10 easily, but I’m a hopeless romantic. This was a realistic view of two young people so desperately in love. They belong together. It touches on mental health, stigma, and whether anyone has a choice in the way they are brought up. Arthur Chen is incredible. His subtlety contributes so much to how we perceive the character. No matter what he says or how he acts, anyone paying attention will know how much Li Xun loves Zhu Yun. Zhang Jing Yi is the perfect ray of persistent sunshine to contrast his outward callousness. He strengthens her bravery, and she softens his hard exterior. Their relationship is not always a fairytale, but realistically imperfect. They make each other better, and at the end of the day, that’s what shows their love the most.This is definitely a must watch for Cdrama fans.

One of the best Romance C drama
One of the best Romance C Drama , the male character is out of the box then other romance C drama...but the pace of the story is a bit slow, the good thing is not soo many second role story, most of C Drama have lots of long support character storyline....its kind of boring,the Female Character were well played by Zhang Jingyi....worth of re watch...

Lighter & Princess is addictive. It crushed my heart, made me angry, emotional and yes, even cry.I watched every episode like there was no tomorrow, and when it was over I felt empty.
Li Xun is the classic arrogant, cold genius, broken by life. But he's not just “bad boy” for the sake of being bad: he has a shitty past that made him that way. His evolution is one of the most beautiful things to watch. Zhu Yun, on the other hand, seems like the typical sweet, naive girl-but reality is very strong. She is someone who fights for what she wants. And the beautiful thing is that she doesn't want to change him, she just wants to understand him and stand by him.
The soundtrack is pure magic, each song seems written to rip your heart out and throw it to the floor. The direction is clean, intense, nothing over the top, but when it needs to, it gets right to the point.
This drama was an EMOTIONAL BLOW. I loved every second, even the ones where I wanted to get into the screen and yell at someone.
If you want an intense story with an explosive couple, heartbreaking moments, revenge and personal growth, WATCH IT.

Rewatching this beautiful nontoxic love story again I’m 2025
This is one of my favorite romantic Chinese dramas to rewatch with a smile. Yes, their are moments of tears but they don’t last long because their love is solid no one can interfere every when they are not together they are thinking of each other. I love how FL understands ML . She is his perfect match. He loves her and shows it in his own way. I love the way they both get jealous of each other. I love how they handle their pursuers. Even when they are not together they find excuses to be around each other. Their relationship started as arguments to falling for each other then after 3 years they start back with arguments but are glad just to have contact with each other until they can’t take it anymore and give in. Nothing great, nothing to hate
This is run of the mill.Some people may absolutely love it, but in reality there is nothing spectacular.
Although the chemistry is sweet there is nothing sizzling.
The 2 main leads are wonderful. Both are a director's delight,expressive,stuck to their character and hopefully will have a fruitful repertoire of acting work. All the support actors were also good.
Lovvvvved the music. One great difference between the c- drama versus k.-drama music is that the cdramas translate the lyrics. So heart melting and romantic.
Again- annoying irritating mother.

ROLLERCOASTERS OF EMOTION
THIS ONE RIGHT HERE!! made me experience so many emotions with this 36 episodes. I was laughing, tearing up, getting butterflies, angst , felt so bad for each characters who went through so much in their lives. One of my most favourite drama and i remember watching it for the first time, i was in a real bad phase in my life and this one really distracted me from everything that was going on in my life.The main trope of this drama : Grumpyxsunshine, she fell first and he fell harder, there are so many subtropes in this drama which i devoured with each episode. Even today, whenever I see any edits of them, it gives me a nostalgic feel with so many emotions growing inside me. If you are up for a rollercoasters of emotions then this one is for you!! Eventhough you will feel frustrated with few decisions made by the ML, i understood where he came from. Yeah, i felt really heartbroken but I felt like that was an important factor which actually made their future relationship more strong and matured. They both realised how much they mean to each other.
I wish I could erase my memories and watch this drama once again for the first time 😭

the chemistry
i loved the chemistry the mostttttt😭😭😭😭 they were so cute together. I didn't liked how it ended with that court marriage I wanted a whole proper marriage with her parents approval also they needed to show more of ML's side of story too he looked like a red flag but he was just trying to protect her I wish the story writer focused a little more on his character development too 😭💜.everything was great other than this.

I can never forget this drama, invitation to the princess by the lighter haha..li xun and zhu yun..these names are engraved in my heart.Actually, i don't want to write any of the scenes here because go watch it dear, just go and watch it. Reading even slightest of the spoiler will really spoil the freshness. I just binge watched it in 2 days, i just forgot, what's eating, what's sleeping. Li xun and zhu yun were everything to me. Yet i am not over this. For Princess and Lighter, i am kinda head over heels. Its so beautiful. Lovely couple.
This series actually has 2 phases. Ep 1-19 is one. Ep 20-36 is another. If a person looking for just undeniable love and student chemistry, you can stop the drama at ep 19. And it wont feel left inbetween because it's designed as an end at ep 19. But a person want to feel suffering, longing, hatred and still going after each other, go for the 2nd phase. But both the phases has it's own beauty, own uniquesness, in short, you just won't want it to end. You won't be habitual of not having more of li xun and zhu yun around you anymore😭

And trust me, their past episode was so so good. And I love them. Li xun and zhu yun. Zhu yun is the example, 'dont leave you love one during his tough time. Always trust him and stay with him.'

Frustating watch but still okay!
I actually binged this entire show, which is unusual for me with C-dramas, but I just couldn’t help myself!Their dynamic was really fun to watch at first, but then it took a turn. While I liked the male lead, the female lead did all the heavy lifting in the relationship, which didn’t feel fair. It became so frustrating to watch, and I hate being frustrated. I also wasn't a fan of the production. I like it when a show looks high-quality, and this one didn't. That was actually the reason I dropped it during the first episode the first time I tried to watch it!

ZHANG JINGYI. THE PRINCESS, THE ACTRESS, THE CUTIE PIE IN THE SHOW she was insanely incredible in her role as Zhu Yun. Every expression, every emotional shift felt so raw and real. She carried Zhu Yun’s journey with grace, strength, and just the right touch of vulnerability. And CHEN FEIYU. THE KING HIMSELF HIS ACTING WAS SOOO AMAZING. The way he portrayed Li Xun’s emotional complexity, that cold genius exterior slowly melting into something tender and real? Iconic. Their chemistry? Off the charts. Every glance between them felt loaded with meaning. I was literally kicking my feet and screaming into my pillow every time they had a scene together. Together, they brought the characters to life in a way that made it impossible not to root for them. Their dynamic wasn’t just romance bruhhh it was pain, growth, longing, and that soul-deep connection you rarely see done this well. Honestly, this duo has set the bar. No notes. 10/10.
