◇Shin Hye-sun fighting scenes & her acting overall 👏🏽 👏🏽👏🏽

CONS:
◇Fighting fire with fire 🔥
I understand it's a work of fiction but it still made a little uncomfy.

IS IT WRONG THAT ALL THIS HEALS MY INNER CHILD?

I love a good story...who doesn't? Throw in bullies getting what they deserve and I'm in.

As someone who was bullied throughout my childhood, this was therapeutic...something in me was at peace watching that POS taking those kicks and punches.

Seriously try watching it...if you're stuck being timid or weak at work or school to keep your job or just in general, WATCH THIS!!! You want to yell at your boss because they're being evil little shits but you can't cause you need the job? WATCH THIS!!!!

You'll heal things you didn't know you had.

I want part 2 already; with another culprit getting it. She's like the clean-up crew fr.

Shin Hye Sun delivered and then some, she's becoming my favourite actress with all her amazing work. I especially loved the braided look.
Lee Jun Yung was also exemplary...I mean we hate him but I'm going to look for more of his work cause his acting is amazing....plus he looks good being all evil and shit.
The supporting characters...esp the victim did a good job too, you could be immersed in their emotions while watching.
All in all, this was an awesome movie...totally worth the hype.

NOTE TO SELF; Korean youths are terrifying, every time I see a bullying scene in a KDrama or KMovie...I want to crawl up and disappear.

Meeeooowwww (if you know you know)

Honestly, I REALLY enjoyed this movie!!

I don’t know what is it with Korea and making bullying movies and shows but damn it…they do it so well.

From the beginning, the actors do such a great job because I was so frustrated and mad immediately!! I knew the characters needed development and a little push later but I needed them to punch the bully immediately like dang!!!

It was emotional, scary and yet, so so satisfying in the end.
There’s just something so cool about a vigilante teacher LMAOO
Though I wasn’t expecting the story to steer that way, I am so glad it did because man, I was never bored during this movie.

It’s crazy how you find your passion through such a weird situation, fighting bullies as a teacher but masked? Hell yeah. I hope this concept is done once more and maybe turned into a kdrama. So so good.

If you’re into revenge k-dramas, man i’m telling you this will feed you GOOD.

2 hours of painful bullying & justifying revenge violence

Still not sure what to think of this one. But personally i think that the current score of 8.2 is overrated. Guess i think that its mostly because of the popular actors.

The mandatory good looking male role, but doesn't do much to give the female role her spotlight. A typical heart-breaking sad background story to the female lead to give reason to her unlawful behavior. Personally i felt that Park Hyuk Kwon, playing her father was miscast, because it gave a sense of humor to the overall story that seemed forced, stiff and not appropriate to the overall mood. To balance the sadness out it wasn't funny at all, just absurd and ridiculous.

Generally it was pretty long with almost 2 hours for a bullying story with revenge character. But i liked that they took their time to build the story. It was actually hard to watch the physical, emotional and psychological bullying scenes. Pretty realistic and painful to watch. Even if the role of the devil student, played by Lee Jun Young was a bit overexaggerated it fits the character and overall plot. He was definitely giving his all to be evil.

The fight scenes were nice choreographed, but not realistic at all. Typical fast cutted from multi-angle views. Didn't enjoy it much as an action fan. But kudos to the stuntwomen and man, the scenes where they wore the mask were great and really amazing. Long shots in one go. Unfortunately they're not listed at all in the cast list like usual. So my appreciation here, because it was one of the things that made this movie watch-worthy.

What definitely stood out was Park Jung Woo acting, playing the bullied kid. Such a talent that really got across the emotions. I actually hope to see him in more versatile roles and not just playing Guest and Support roles.

Still not sure if i liked the message that this movie tried to send. Yes, it was simple not to look away and endure everything, but actually it's a movie where the showdown is that a teacher beats up his student. And everybody is happy about that and cheers for revenge violence.

Overrated

The acting and emotion that goes into the heart wrenching bullying scenes are great but the logic is terrible. Bullies with connections get away with things including reckless driving, sexual harassment, and attacking teachers, and apparently only the bullies have cellphones and social media. The light hearted moments and serious ruin any sense of pacing and annoyed me through emotional whiplash. The story would have been better suited for a short Netflix series instead of a long movie. This story has been done better before. A man from nowhere is a better movie that I could rewatch over and over

Those who get it, GET IT!

I understand we’re all sick and tired of seeing stories about school violence esp coming out of SK it feels like you can never escape this genre in particular but i felt this film did a good job at delivering it in a fresh new way.

I’ve seen some people complain about how one dimensional the characters feel esp the villain but i think that’s the strongest point of this story. At no point did they try to shove his backstory down the viewers throat in attempt to have us sympathize with him. He was simply an evil entity unable of feeling an ounce of remorse. I watched the directors comentary on this and they mentioned how this was very much intentional. They wanted to emphasize that he had no redeemable traits whatsoever. I do feel like it can be argued that they still decided to cast a very good looking actor to play the villain so it was a bit counter productive but i think that could also serve as a commentary on how much value society puts on outer appearance given audience’s reaction to his character.

I do like how the fl is written to be a bit morally ambiguous in the beginning as well. As she’s also trying to navigate through this new system and learn to survive after being forced to give up her dream as a boxer. She didn’t just assume the role of a hero from the jump and started fighting for justice, it took time for her to understand the gravity of the situation and realize she’s the only hope for those poor souls that were being viciously bullied. I understand that her goofiness esp towards the begining and random tonal shifts of the movie can throw some ppl off but i don’t think it’s particularly distasteful as some are claiming. It seems to just be a stylistic choice esp considering this is a webtoon adaptation, it’s bound to have some cartoonish elements.

I absolutely enjoyed the acting performance in this. Both main leads devoured their roles it was a sight to see. I have not really been the biggest Shin Hyesun enjoyer as i’ve mostly seen her in second lead roles in the past and maybe one movie where she was the main some years back but nothing that was memorable for me to care so i never quite understood the hype but im here to say i get it… i really do! She’s a charismatic actress with so much charm and appeal it’s crazy. I do think she shines brighter with certain type of projects and this seems to be one of her best!
Lee Junyoung is a recent discovery for me, even though i’ve seen of him here and there i’ve never really paid enough attention but i was able to go through his filmography recently and i’m more than impressed. It’s both scary and impressive how he transforms into a different person with every new role and manages to look nothing like the character he played before. He’s a chameleon. Even in the different villainous roles he has taken on, there’s something distinct about each one of them not just in the way they’re written but in the way he plays them that they’re all very distinguishable from eachother. Sugang in particular is a character that’s so violent and brutal down to the fibre of his being that he doesn’t blink when he tortures people relentlessly in fact he finds joy in doing so. The way LJY is able to portray that type of bloodthirsty viscous look through just his eyes and those signature quirks he gave his character adds to the charm and appeal. And as someone that had just seen him in a contrasting role it’s that much more impressive he has definitely become one of my elite employees!

This movie has great action sequences and really satisfying fighting scenes. I understand the logic behind a high school bully holding his own against a pro boxer can seem off but there are some things to consider like the fact that it’s emphasized that he’s not a minor even though he’s still in high school so he’s physically more matured compared to his peers, he’s also a man and a different weight class, he could potentially have training as well (an assumption but thinking he doesn’t would also be one), Simin hasn’t participated in an actual competition in years she could be rusty… so many possibilities. He might’ve held his own but he still got his ss BEAT to mars and back i think that’s enough to prove who’s better so i don’t think its something that requires too much of a suspension of disbelief from viewers…

All in all, a great watch i would recommend it to anyone capable of having fun but heed the trigger warnings bc there are some stomach churning scenes (none of the ones where sugang is getting beat up! those were fun to watch hehe)

Watch it, if you prefer Villain's ass getting kicked.

Good Day readers, I don't know what makes a good movie but I do know that this one was such a good movie. Two main characters. "So Si Min" played by "Shin Hye Sun" the hero who does justice. And "Han Su Gang" played by "Lee Jun Young" the Berserk guy bullying others for fun.

Si Min a contract teacher, a former athelete, the hindrance between her and her full time teacher job is being unable to ignore injustice, she tries her best to be Blind and Deaf to the injustice, but can't. Therefore, she conceals her real identity and wears on a cat mask to fight injustice.

Han Su, a guy who's gone berserk. A highschool student although he's not a minor. Gets thrill from Bullying others, keeps harassing others for his satisfaction. Totally out of mind. Suddenly a guy with a Cat mask came in his life out of nowhere and kicked his ass, he took on the challenge to take his revenge. And have a fight with Cat Mask.

The Story's about a former athelete who quit her sports career to protect her family, and is trying to become a full time teacher, but observing the Bullies she can't turn a blind eye to it. So her journey to fight the Bully commenced.

Now the main points that I absolutely loved about the movie :

• The MUSIC is top notch, you'll feel like you're right there in the crowd with them, the background music is fire, and I totally loved the sync.

• ACTIONS scenes, is there any need to say or praise just how good they were, all three fights were fantastic, Shin Hye Sun nailed it, and Jun Young did the same, I'm a big fan of Action Genre. And this movie nailed the action part.

• ACTING, I was impressed by the absolute Pure Villain vibes from Jun Young in that moment, and a user's comment said "the more evil and charming a Villain is, more the Hero shines.

• The STORY was such a simple one, without any complications just a simple story with a good execution. The movie turned out to be good.

• The DUO, Cop and the Boxer, bestfriends. I hope to see them in any other work. Cause they look good together.

• The CASTING was so good, when I saw the actors I felt like, ooo it's worth watching.

Concluding all the above points,

➤Acting 10/10
➤Story 9.5/10

Not good not bad

A nice movie to watch when you want to watch something simple.
Pros: the actors are really good in their performances and he is very nice to look at even if he seems a bit psychotic.
I really liked the fight scenes, very real and interesting to see.
even the bullying scenes were very realistic and well done
Cons: The plot was a bit strange as far as I'm concerned with an absurd school environment and without the slightest control from the teachers.
and also it has nothing to do with the film but I got bored of always seeing films/TV series about bullying, change the plot, invent something new

A movie that will annoy you

A movie that would want you to jump and intervene through the screen. The bullying scenes made me squint my eyes I was fighting the urge to skip in some scenes.

Now regarding the story I wouldn't say it is far fetch from reality in a way. Social status, wealth, and reputation are something that is known to us. After hearing about teachers quitting and committing suicide due to student-teacher bullying, this drama made me think how bad it is in real life (hopefully not to this extent). This drama is a friction but I also felt it represents a desire and 'IF ONLY'.

I have read someone write that the villain was straight from hell and I couldn't agree more. His acting is next level, it wouldn't be too far-fetched if I say he is a psychopath cause that wasn't normal. One thing I'm not a big fan of is when high school bullies don't look like high schoolers. in this case, the villain looked way older. the fighting scenes were top-notch (coming from someone who knows nothing about it).

Now about the ending I don't know, it was somewhat of an open ending but not really, we know she will expose and turn the school into a safe place. we also get that her former colleague might have told her to join this new school.

Overall, I wish this was a drama instead, I think I might have enjoyed it more. Maybe cause I love backstories and also love to know if the villains are facing the consequences of their actions. but as a movie, I will say it is okay not the best and not the worst too.

Shin hye sun is my favorite actress

really good film...and this actress is an exceptional actress...she plays wonderfully well...all the roles she plays makes the series or film splendid...I loved this film.... .. I loved the film, it's really very good, as the plot unfolds, we become more and more involved, and the film has very good quality, everything seems very real, it ends up that even we ourselves become sad and with angry, but then he becomes very excited and happy, I really liked it, I highly recommend it, I thought it was a series but then I realized it was a film and honestly I didn't give anything for this film, but it delivered everything, it surprised me, it's very good and cool, the fight scenes are really well done, man this movie is wonderful.

such great potential to become a series

Highly recommended movie abt school bullying and revenge! Despite being quite dark, it doesnt miss on the fun factor at all. The bully is excellent in his own part, and so is the candid-looking teacher. I enjoyed this a lot.
The plot is simple and flows one direction, hardly any character development, but it's quite satisfactory to see the justice being served. No unnecessary side characters. Good fighting scenes.
The ML is obviously past the school age, but his looks and acting compensate this. He is very versatile, it takes you by surprise, and he's got a sort of standard features that help him morph into any character. The FL is pretty and funny and so is the cat mask.
Excellent!

revenge fantasy

I thought this was like a cringe and silly romcom, then I saw a clip of the last fight on insta and i was like ooh this isn’t a cheesy romcom

But as I watched this I realized this was about school bullying, and sadly no rom

I’m so sorry but Jun is so hot, I mean he’s psychoness is scary but idk if it’s cuz I know his uwu side, or if I have a crazy side but he’s so hot when he’s mad

And fl is xingback approved

The other teacher screaming don’t take off the mask made me laugh so much I think that was another reason beside the fl fighting that made me wanna watch this but I forgot it

Then SHS hitting Jun and him face slamming the principal was hilarious
And her high kicks were so satisfying
Poor bullied ml when he had his meltdown, it BROKE me

I’m kinda disappointed Jun and HSH didn’t have a love line, I’d love to see them in a drama together

I personally think this lvl of bullying is “fantasy” idk like anyone can record and expose bullies if they’re this severe
So in return it was a fantasy to have a former boxing champion who wanted to live a peaceful life but had to unrealistically beat the heck out of a bully to win
I also loved the comedy in the last fight
Also another aspect of severe bullying, leaving is simple and the easy way out

The com tho made me laugh especially two scenes at the end almost made me cry laughing
Jun was hot eventho he was a psycho and shin hye son eventho i see she always does the same type of character, i liked her here especially the fight scenes , I’d totally watch a drama about her fighting, I’d even watch a second season of this

I was gonna say it’s an 8, but soshimin made it a 9 and the comedy made it 9,5
