As a Fan Of Orv for 5 years, I'm HONESTLY DISAPPOINTED

The LA Changed many things from the Novel. A lot of things doesn't even Match the OG Story. Totally Ruined the Plot

There are a lot of people out there saying that all the negative ratings are Bot accounts & that we are Saying negative comments for no reason. But did you even read the novel???

Do you even know why we are so Angry about the LA ???

If they only cut some scenes from ORV novel I wouldn't really have much of a problem since no Movie can Adapt completely same things that are on the novel. I get it. But no . Did they even try to make it similar???

A BIG NO !!!

Like I don't even know why I even watched this in the first place

Right at the first scene of the movie , Kim Dokja said that He hated the TWSA Novel's ending WHERE only Yoo Joonghyuk was Alive & got told that he should rewrite it then & got a writer skill . Meanwhile in the Novel He NEVER not even ONCE said that he hated TWSA. Like he wouldn't care as long as Only his fav Character, Which is Yoo Joonghyuk is ALIVE. He NEVER EVER GOT A WRITER THE . TO HIM TWSA IS LIKE A HOLY BOOK & YOO JOONGHYUK IS A GOD HIMSELF. So him saying that TSWA is bad is literally like ruining Kim Dokja's Character.

They almost didn't give Yoo Joonghyuk enough screentime at all. They even said that To Kim Dokja Heewon is the main Protagonist & the one Kim Dokja has been Rooting for all the time. But in Novel, Kim Dokja DIDN'T even Remember her cuz she got killed in the early chapters.

In the LA, the reason Destruction Method failed was because it “didn’t make sense and lacked plausibility,” but in ORV it failed because the author was overly obsessed with excessive explanations.

On the train, only 5 people were supposed to survive—so why did 17 survive?

Why wasn’t it an even-numbered bridge

why did Yoo Sang-ah reveal her skill so early?

In the movie, Yoo Joonghyuk asked Kim Dokja on Dongho Bridge, “Why do you think this world became like this?” But in the original, he asked:
“If you’re really a prophet, should I let go of this hand?”

And Kim Dokja’s original reply was:
“Just let go of this hand and get lost. You son of a b//tch.”
But in the movie, it was just: “Yoo Joonghyuk, you b//stard.”

In the LA , Kim Dokja's mother didn't go to jail & Kim Dokja took care of her....... Bro What ??? The whole reason why Kim Dokja started reading the Novel is because Her Mother Killed his father & went to Jail & now that everyone says that he's the son of A Murderer & Bullies him , he got so much depressed that he tried to attempt Suicide . After he failed to suicide did he found TSWA NOVEL & since then HE ONLY WAS ALIVE & DIDN'T THINK OF SUICIDING CUZ HE HAD TO READ THE NOVEL.

YESS THATS HOW IMPORTANT THE NOVEL IS OT HIM!!!

Prison of the Afterlife was clearly supposed to show Kim Dokja’s trauma with his mother, but in the movie it became a scene where Kim Dokja killed his friend. I was so dumbfounded I could only laugh.

Yoo Sangah got a Healer Skill in the LA . Meanwhile in Novel , she alone killed numerous People. She ?? Healing Other people??? That never happened!!!! Yoo Sangah played a great role in Kim Dokja's life as his colleague & Friend ( Not a ship. They are friends. Like brothers & sisters). It's like they literally Turned her whole personality into 360 degree .

In movie they showed that Kim Dokja killed a kid........ BRO THAT NEVER HAPPENED IN THE NOVEL!!!!! BRO DIDN'T KILL ANYONE IN THE HIGH SCHOOL BRO . He instead was the one being Bullied .

He NEVER EVEN TRIED TO HELP KIM NAM WOON . HE LITERALLY TRIED TO KILL HIM & KILLED HIM IN THE FIRST SCENARIO CUZ HE HATED HIM!!!

Kim Dokja NEVER EVER WANTED TO save THE WORLD LIKE THEY SAID IN THE LA . He literally said :

" I'LL SEE LATER IF THIS WORLD IS WORTH SAVING OR NOT "

" IF ANYTHING HAPPENS TO MY INCARNATION, I'LL DESTROY THE WHOLE WORLD"

In Chapter 482, during a dramatic press‐conference scene with the Incarnations demanding rescue, Kim Dokja declares bluntly:

“I have no thoughts of saving you. I don’t intend to save you guys at all.”

Gosh whose saving who ??! Bro literally Struggled to survive in almost Half of the Novel .

Lee Jihye is supposed to use a sword—so why does she use a g/un?

At Chungmuro Station, why does Lee Hyunsung evolve his attribute?

And why does the movie add a dragon that doesn’t even appear in Chungmuro Station?

Also, why does Yoo Joonghyuk d/ie there and start his regression? That made no sense at all.

AFTER ALL THESE REASONS I SHOWED, can you even tell me any reason not to hate the LA ???
They didn't just cut scenes . Bro they LITERALLY RUINED EVERY CHARACTERS IMAGE.

The ONLY THING THEY KEPT THE SAME IS THE NAME. OTHER THAN THAT NONE OF THE PLOT OR CHARACTER'S PERSONALITY OR CHARACTERISTICS DOESN'T MATCH AT ALL !!!

A Disgrace to the Original

My first and last review on this website because I'm honestly so upset that one of my favorite novels has been turned into a trashy adaptation that isn't even the same story! You can tell this was made just so the director can get a quick cash grab from fans of the original and fans of the actors (if you're a Blink fan and want to watch this for Jisoo don't bother; the director literally just used her to get money from yall and threw subtle shade towards her, she barely has any screentime too!) There's so much I want to say, but I don't want to repeat what others have said, so just read the rest of the reviews on this because a lot explain in detail how much they butchered the original!

READ THE NOVEL, DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME ON THIS TRASH!!!!!!

Reading is better

I am not gonna rehash what everyone is already saying. Read the novel instead. Like, trust me. Why waste your time to watch this movie, when you could have a far more entertaining time reading the original. Sure it is longer, but at least it is fun.

No I'm not bashing the actors, but it's alll the director for being such an obnoxious misogynist like wdym healer Sangah?? And erasing Heewon's backstory?? And Dokja's mom being sick??

Also making Dokja participate in school violence is so damn ooc HE'S THE BULLY VICTIM that's like why everything happens he's not a hero he's a cunning, sly guy who only wants the best ending for his faves he's so not heroic

this is complete disrespect to the original source and the actors

I feel bad for the author and the actors. For having to see their hard-work turned into THIS, and the amazing actors having their names dragged in the mud due to the shitty directing

The live action MISSED everything from the original novel. Insted of a live action ADAPTATION this seems more like a rip off. It has NOTHING to do with the original source. The message is completely off.
WHAT DO YOU MEAN KIM DOKJA HATED TWSA? (in the novel, twsa was his LIFELINE. the story was made for HIM. He found it after searching 'how to survive' bc he was depressed, twsa was his comfort.)
Second. WHY IS KDJ A BULLY? He was the bullied one.
Third. Why is Sangah a healer? This completely disregards her character (she wanted to break free from society's misogynistic views on women, that they wre meek and nurturing.) to turn her from a fighter to a healer is completely disrespectful for her.
Fourth. Heewon is kdj's favorite character and joonghyuk is a side character? HEEWON ISNT EVEN IN TWSA AND JOONGHYUK IS THE MAIN CHARACTER, THE ONE KDJ ADORED.
in conclusion, anyone who convinces you this is a good movie are either bots or fans of the actors. This LA basically took nothing from the original source but the names of the characters. The novel is so much better, complex and better written. The live action should NEVER have existed. The novel is way to good for a mere movie

The pacing was too plot driven + The difference from source is badly written.

"Every adaption has had a dilemma of 'okay, we only have a certain amount of run-time. So do we focus on those big climatic moments or quiet scenes with the characters?' Screw it let's throw away all those quiet parts. Not realizing it's those character scenes that make the climatic moments hit harder."

Review
Spoiler warning again before this. I don't want people to be spoiled somehow after the review warning. (And some novel/manga spoilers).

1st of all. The change in how Yoo Joonghyuk's regression ability (yes I know they used another name for him. But let's be real here. Who prefers the newer name?). Instead of how the novel does it. Ths movie makes it seem like so the world goes back and everyone cease to exist.

This hugely changes the core of what made Yoo Joonghyuk, Yoo Joonghyuk. In the novel, if I recall correctly. He gains regression depression from his failures and doesn't care about the world anymore. Tending to think about regressing if anything doesn't go his way.

This is impactful as we learn that each time he regress. He doesn't. He goes to a parallel universe/timeline of sort. So once he gives up and regress, that world still exist but without him. This "minor" change actually impacts a lot. Especially spoiler for manga, how he wanted to sacrifice himself to become the Demon King so Kim Dokja can advance the scenarios.

Secondly, the illusion prison. What the hell was it about? In the novel/manga. Eating it cause Kim Dokja to experience mental damages, but gave him immunity to the night monsters. But in this movie, he got the "best" of the both worlds, he got both the need to be protected by the teammates and mental damage. Great!

Thirdly, the plot. WHY. More obviously on the first half, there was like no character development. It's just him rushing quests, and brief explaination of what's happening to connect the dots. He basically, goes from Point A to Point B. Then someone explains something. Like how Yoo Sangah got the bridge.

Fourth, where is the skills of the Kim Dokja? A part of what made Kim Dokja Kim Dokja, was his Fourth Wall. It is a really interesting concept when you see it at play. And everytime it goes down in the novel, you feel for him. Like pieces of him is revealed where you understand and sympatize with him.

Tldr
Yoo Joonghyuk's Regression and trauma was out of the movie.
Plot Rushing for the sake of time.
Kim Dokja's ability being changed.

This is is hot Garbage

The only thing that has been adapted are the names of the characters. What do you mean that the mc who experienced so much bullying to the point that he wanted to unalive himself leading him to discover the novel became the bully? MAKE IT MAKE SENSE!!! They can't even make a good cgi, I wouldn't be surprised if there's a sudden product endorsement because this shit looks like out of a low budget commercial. SERIOUSLY! THE ONE WHO THOUGHT OUT ALL OF THE CHANGES SHOULD REALLY RECONSIDER THEIR CHOICE OF CAREER, FCKING EMBARRASSING.

Not perfect but acceptable.

As a reader of the manhwa, this falls short to the original source but an acceptable adaptation for me. As a movie, details surely will fall short from expectations specially when it comes to the characters, it would have been resolved if it were a 6 or 8 episode drama series. But what I really appreciate is that they really stick to the original story or atleast 80-90% of it as they removed 10-20% to squeeze into a 2 hour movie. If this have a sequel then I would surely watch it.

I wish I didn't know about this adaptation.

Did the film crew actually read the original work?Except for the same character name, I don't feel like this adaptation is similar in any other way.Tell me the truth, is the director trying to assassinate orv's fans? They treat us, the original readers, as three-year-olds and think we'd support an adaptation like that.
I don't know if my standards for cinematic techniques are too high or if the aesthetic taste of filmmakers nowadays is too low, how could they create such a disaster.
The fight scenes are really bland, after watching it the only thing that remains is celebrities trying to force themselves into someone else, not getting into character.
I am really sad that my favorite work is being dragged out to be made into a cheap, empty industrial "dish".
I really advise if you are a fan of the original, you should not watch it if you want to keep good memories or add new frustration.

This is so ahh even my old elementary self can do better with a 10 dollar budget

Those who rated this a 3 star or higher are fake ass bitches that watched orv from tiktok that names kim dokja as fucking jack OR they are delusional and hypnotizing themselves into beliveing its accurate and that this ugly pice of crap that no one would wanna watch other than some weird people that like watching k-drama and call themselves their "#1 fan" is fake. This will be a small rant containing the things that makes my wanna pull my hair out and scream and cum all over my bedroom to the point I start pissing blood and all the cheese hidden in my cock will start turning into fluids because I'm pissing and bleeding so much.
Okay so first off, the casts. (NO HATE TO THE ACTORS)
Holy fuck who am I looking at and what are these creatures that are calling themselves my fabulous glorious handsome ugly disgusting squid kim dokja and the others. (NO HATE TO THE ACTORS AGAIN !!!)
Kim dokja... he is not kim dokja he's just a low life bozo that likes to read some fuckass novel because they are lonely and such a loser. "I have to save the world...!" God just fuck me in the ass with a metal pipe with spikes all over it doggy style, muffled, spanked than this. HE IS NOT KIM DOKJA. and he loves his MOM??? Okay is he just a doppelganger that tried it's hardest to act as kim dokja yet they only stalked him for 5 minutes and said "okay that's enough". NO HEIGHT DIFFERENCE??? WHAT WHAT WHAT. JUST TIE ME UP AND SPANK ME LIKE A NAUGHTY BOY WITH A VIBRATING DILDO UP MY ASS AND COVER MY MOUTH WITH TAPE AND PULL ON MY EAR LIKE PIGTAILS AT THIS POINT, I WOULD ENJOY IT MORE THAN THIS. and yoo joonghyuk... oh my god. I will harass kids in my park because of this. Couldn't you just STYLE A SINGLE FUCKING BANG WHAT COULD BE THE PROBLEM. And his metal thing on his collar??? WHY IS IT GONE. WHY CANT YOU JUST GLUE A PIECE OF METAL. IM BEGGING YOU JUST GLUE A SINGLE FUCKING PIECE OF METAL. THE PRIEST IN FIESTY PRIEST (I FORGOT THE NAME) LOOKED MORE LIKE YOO JOONGHYUK THAN YOO JOONGHYUK HIMSELF. HE WAS PROBABLY ACTING MORE LIKE HIM TOO. Lee jihye, my poor baby what did they do to you. she is supposed to be a high schooler but no you fuckers said "Let's make her look like she's a office worker with 2 kids and divorced that drinks all her thoughts away" SHE DOES NOT LOOK THAT FUCKING OLD WHY IS SHE LIKE THAT. DID YOU JUST SPIN A WHEEL ON POPULAR CELEBRITIES AND IT LANDED ON JISOO??? (no hate to jisoo I like her music) oh my days lee Gilyoung... why does he look like a newborn child that still has his umbilical cord attached. He's a pre TEEN. No, not a baby that was pushed out of his mom's pounded 9 months ago fresh vagina the moment the dokkaebi appeared because she was scared shitless. Gong pildu is so ahh. They made him look like the moment he does a single wrong move all his moisture in his bones will evaporate and he will break his back. Why does he look so old. Where is his mustache. And you even forgot his hat... how could you mess up that badly. Like the most acceptable for me is han myungoh. That shi is FINEEE. I would devour him up and impregant him with all my sperms and do it all again until I'm dry and hope that it will be a tie and every kid will win the race.
Okay I lied about making some stupid list I'm just only gonna do like 4 because I have to do a slight tiering for shiho from PJSK.
Sangah. Oh my beautiful wife. Out of everything I hate what they did to sangah. I'm not being biased btw (my favorite is probably a simple squid or bug boy)
I fucking hate everything about her live action (no hate to the actors, they only acted what they were given)
The live action defeats her whole purpose. She is a assassin. But for some reason they AGAIN said fuck it and made her the most typical sexist role for a woman. A fucking healer. WHATS THE POINT OF LEE SEOLHWA??? An assassin is the OPPOSITE role of a fucking healer. She killed people with her ability. LOTS actually. But she uses that same ability to heal others... Are you just asking to get backlash from the whole orv community or what. "she connects the broken bridge and heal her friends by using her silk thread...! 🥺" how bout she uses that fucking skill to sew your ass after I fuck it so hard that it rips open and starts bleeding. Can she fucking heal it? NO! she's a fucking assassin for FUCK SAKE. SHES AGAINST SEXISM. SHE HATES IT WITH HER LIFE. WHY ARE YOU PUSHING SEXIST VIEWS ON HER. WHY. "Oh look a woman! Never talked to one of them before irl heh... I saw all those big tittied hot revealing clothed anime waifus in isekai anime...! Let's see... oh there's a description and a wiki page that has a detailed description of her and says she's a assassin and killed many people with her silk thread at once...! Hm... how about I push sexist views on her and make her a healer like all those hot anime waifus because I don't know what having an original good female character that isn't overly sexualised and made for male gaze is like...!" GOD JUST TELL ME TO JUMP OFF A BRIDGE LIKE KIM DOKJA EXCEPT ITS WAY HIGHER AND I DONT HAVE COOL PLOT ARMOR.
And bihyung holy fuck that shit looks like a creepy labewbew fuck toy that a woman shoved up their ass for a porn tape for some weird men.
ALSO why are they using guns... WHOS VIEWPOINT IS THIS FOR THEM TO BE USING GUNS. I KNOW DAMN WELL THEY BE HALLUCINATING. IS THIS HELLS VIEWPOINT OR WHAT??
Anyways. At the end of the day we all learn our mistakes. Except I wish every worst thing ever on the director and the others that ruined it because of that mistake.
ALSO !! i won't tolerate hate to the actors. Only to the fans that ship yoo joonghyuk and jihye because of the actors and the person that decided all the characters personality, how they use their skill *cough cough* sangah *cough* and how they decide that it will be okay to make the characters look either triple their age or minus like 5 years off their life.
Okay bye thanks for reading my silly little rant

Humanity’s Worst Mistake Since Dragon Ball Evolution

This isn’t just a bad adaptation—it’s a catastrophic failure of cinema. Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint: The Prophet is what happens when people who’ve never read the novel or manhwa decide to wing it with a $5 budget and zero respect for the source.

Kim Dokja? Looks like he wandered in from a different movie and stayed for the snacks.
Yoo Joonghyuk? More like Discount Batman with anger issues and no plot relevance.
Han Sooyoung? Rewritten into a sidekick with less personality than a rock.

The plot is a chaotic mess—scenarios mashed together with no build-up, emotional moments stripped of all meaning, and world-building thrown out like yesterday’s trash. The only thing “omniscient” here is the audience knowing this will be terrible 5 minutes in.

They didn’t adapt ORV.
They committed war crimes against it.

This movie makes Dragon Ball Evolution look like a masterpiece. If you watch this thinking it’s ORV, you’ll walk away traumatized, confused, and full of regret.

Rating: 0/10. Burn it. Delete it. Banish it to the outer universe.

a disgrace to the original ORV

I bet the director hasn't even read a single chapter of the original novel.
The movie fails to convey any of the story's value, changes probably 90% of the content, and completely misrepresents the characters: what the heck do they mean KDJ hates TWSA? And he wants to save the world? Killing people 'cause YJH taught him to? No Fourth Wall? LJH using a gun? YSA is a healer?!?!?
If you can't even read the original work written in your native language, then please just ditch the "Live Action" tag. Nobody forced you to make it, but if you're going to, then do it properly. Turning a whole masterpiece into a pile of junk is a true insult to the author's efforts.
Nobody's forcing you to make it! But if you're gonna do it, at least do it right instead of turning a masterpiece into. It's a total slap in the face to the author's hard work.
It's obvious they're just riding on the actors' fame. Some of them can't even act, and then they're like, "Oh, that character's not important." WTF???
Honestly, it's called a Live Action, but it's basically just a massive insult to the original. They just took the character names and turned the whole thing into a mess.
KDJ would literally wake up if he saw this
