Best Jdrama I've watched
I love this drama, if you like lighthearted dramas with not too much misunderstandings and no red flag characters, this is the drama for you ! The MLs weren't toxic at all and the greenest flag couple I've ever seen in any drama before. They understand each other and when someone misunderstands a situation, they explain right away the real reasons which I love. The male main lead is such a sweetie, he gives off second lead vibes but the second lead is also very sweet , he supports the MLs relationship and becomes friends with the main lead! Overall a really good drama imoWas this review helpful to you?
A Drama That Felt Like Looking Into a Mirror!
This drama… wow. I honestly had no idea what I was walking into. The story itself isn’t complicated. it even sounds simple. But the way the actors executed it?( brilliant ! ) The way they portrayed human emotions, insecurities, dreams, and quiet struggles? It took me through so many feelings. So many moments where I just sat there thinking, *“I know exactly how that feels **I genuinely hope more people discover this drama, because in its own quiet way, it feels healing.
Plot**
The story follows Kurumi, who works as a publicist for the interior design company “el Arco Iris.” She’s not just a PR professional , she’s also managing social media and building her own influencer presence. She’s fashionable, polished, always striving to look like a perfect ten. A lot of that pressure comes from how deeply she cares about how others perceive her, especially her boss, Hayama, whom she secretly has feelings for.
Kurumi gives 100% of herself to her job. So much so that she forgets to renew her apartment lease. Suddenly homeless, she moves into what she thinks is her friend Koko’s place only to discover it’s actually a share house with three strangers.
And that’s where the real story begins.
In the share house she meets, Shun, a talented chef who was on the verge of success but chose to walk away and live a simpler life running a food truck. ( the complete opposite of Kurumi’s high-paced, image-driven world.)
Haruto, who works as an online counselor, and Ayaka, an aspiring contemporary artist balancing her creative dreams with a delivery job.
All of them come from different backgrounds, different ages, different ambitions, yet they coexist under one roof, each navigating life in their own way.
This isn’t just a cohabitation drama. It’s about seasons of life. About ambition, insecurity, comfort, risk, growth.Watching these characters felt like watching different versions of myself at different stages of my life. Sometimes I saw my past self. Sometimes my present. Sometimes the person I want to become. You might also recognize yourself in one character or, like me, in all of them.
Their passions, their doubts, the way they handle failure, the courage (or fear) they show when faced with change, it all felt so real. Even though their careers are different from mine, their internal struggles resonated deeply with my own experiences.
Surprisingly, my favorite character is the company’s CEO. He’s free-spirited, fearless, and unapologetic about chasing his dreams. I loved how he moved forward without regret, even knowing that following your dreams sometimes means leaving behind comfort and even people you care about. Not everyone has that courage. Some people choose safety. Some stay because it’s easier. But his outlook was simple: it might be hard, it might hurt, but I’m going to pursue what I truly want.
There was something incredibly inspiring about that.
There’s honestly so much more I could say. I could probably write a whole essay analyzing each character and the emotional layers of this drama. But I don’t want to spoil anything.
So I’ll just say this:
This drama felt like a journey.
It healed parts of me.
It validated feelings I didn’t know how to put into words.
It challenged me.
And it inspired me to do better.
If you’re looking for something loud and dramatic, this might not be it, but if you want something that quietly speaks to your heart and makes you reflect on your own life trust me and watch this.

This romance is SUCH A VIBE!
I just finished watching season 1 of this show (I assume that’s all there is)… it was the perfect romantic drama. There was so much HEART in this series- when I’m watching a J drama, I’m looking for the vibe, and I just want to feel that beautiful ‘Je ne sais quoi’ love that they’re able to capture so well. And this one did it perfectly. Western entertainment simply cannot capture this and I can’t think of any example where they capture the sweetness and spiritual side of love the way J dramas do.I just loved the chemistry between Kurumi and Shun, it was just so tender, cute, humorous, and electric. And they actually communicate openly like normal people! I found that refreshing compared to other J dramas. All I can say is that they were meant for each other. Their love was warm, tender, without the usual glamour and fireworks that soon fizzle out. There was just something about their love that felt warm and fuzzy in me- I could feel it! And Shun was omg, sooo handsome like a real life anime character. It’s like he was drawn and came to life. So back to the romance. Sometimes in J dramas, the chemistry isn’t quite there and it’s the storyline that pushes the two together, like the last one I watched about a yoga teacher falling in love with a single dad which was just bad- they had almost no chemistry, but the plot forced them together at the end which annoyed me. But in this one, the sparks were flying. But they were warm, smooth sparks. It wasn’t a stiff “sumimasen” relationship (overly formal like in Eye love you) - it really felt like the two had a beautiful real bond where they truly cared about each other.
Hayama was also a lovable character- initially I thought he’d be like a villain, but he too ended up being very endearing and had so many strengths in him, but was late to the party. Too bad the woman can’t just choose both.. sheesh. I actually love the two men fighting over one woman thing- though it is rather painful, in a sense it shows that in Japanese entertainment they show value and respect for their women and show them being loved till the end by the male characters (unlike Indian entertainment that devalues Indian women which is why I don’t go near it. Anyways!).
The whole series was a beautiful slow burn and if you enjoy feeling the vibe of romances, you will love this one. The only thing that threw me for a loop was the last 5 minutes of the story- it’s like they decided to move the plot along and finish things up and package it up all nice and neat (Spoiler alert- Shun and Kurumi get together, get married, have a kid.. all happens within like 5 seconds). That was a little fast for me lol. But I was wondering what the resolution would be since the last episode was dragging a bit.
I loved all the cooking and food montages with Shun- he was such a catch- I mean, a guy who is so handsome, loving, and lovable AND can cook amazing meals too? Where can I find me one of those?? I was hoping that he wouldn’t get back with old girlfriend Hana and thank God for that. But I thought there still could have been hope for Hayama and Kurumi- but he was packed off to Turkey even though he admitted his feelings for Kurumi at the end. Ahhh it makes everything that much harder to decide. The two men fighting over one woman trope never gets old for me. I live for it lol. Better that than the other way around.
I love the song “Fushigi” that they keep playing throughout the series- it just adds to their beautiful love story vibe. I just love Shun and Kurumi’s romance. For me, it’s at the top of all the romances I’ve seen in J-dramas. Enough said!

Give it a shot!
When I saw the title at first, I was like “that’s not for me”. Oh well..I was wrong, this is for me.
I really enjoyed this more than I thought I would. From when they showed their emotions through their actions to helping understand each other.
And also how well they could communicate sometimes and did not sulk for like 5episodes in a row after a misunderstanding.
I really wish this drama was out like 10 years ago, because the part about running away- that got me. I ran away and not only nothing changed when I came back, it was more messy than before. It’s a bit different, but I still related way too much. Maybe some people “get lucky”and all of the things are forgotten by others or they forgive themselves but the opposite is true for me. That’s why this reminded me I should stop (mainly) emotionally punishing myself for something I can’t change and finally live my own life. Little by little.

Fraco e Insosso
