Masterpiece

Hallo?!
Probably the best kdrama I’ve ever seen. The way it’s filmed is absolutely perfect. I just finished it so you can probably feel my passion rn. Cast is really good - Park Bo Gum? YES, Kim So Hyun? georgeous, Lee Sang-yi? stunning. I have already like four songs in my playlist, “Get in the ring” is such a vibe by the way, recommended. Tbh the plot could be more elaborate, but who cares. Since we can have our Bo Gummy as a boxer, everything is all right.

1. I’m writing this after reading the script book by the screenwriter. It was a pity that some of Ji Hanna’s actions weren’t shown. Because of that, it feels like only the main character, Yoon Dongju, is carrying the story.
2. I want to praise the people who worked on the makeup during the fight scenes. It was so realistic. The combination of the actors’ performances, the director’s work, and the makeup created great success. In other dramas, the actor’s charisma often overshadows everything, which makes the fight scenes less captivating — but here it was different.
3. The OST of this drama was truly magnificent from beginning to end. Especially the intro OST — it was amazing. There are sad, motivational, and mysterious tracks — simply outstanding!
4. Because of the changes, many people feel that the story focused only on one character, and that’s true. For 13 episodes we mostly saw the story and actions of Yoon Dongju. By not showing the stories of Sohyun & Sangyi, I think they made a mistake here.

BEST ROM COM POLAR DRAMAS !!!!

This is a drama I've been eagerly awaiting, especially for its cast, like many others! I was a little perplexed by the genre, as I thought sports would be a central theme, and not an action thriller. I didn't want to spoil too much with the trailers. So I was pleasantly surprised to discover how diverse and charming this drama is: whether it's the romance, which is actually quite present, the mysteries to solve, the depth of each character and their development, the ultra-stylish music, the humor, the seriousness, the drama... everything blends together perfectly.

From the very beginning, I think it's a blast! It's super stylish to see PARK BO GUM in a ring, just like the other fighters in their respective disciplines, while also giving us a glimpse of what's going to happen. It really makes you want to see what happens next; it's very well thought out, a bit like in Hierarchy. I like this subtly American touch.

The casting really touched me, whether it was PARK BO GUM, true to himself: courageous, adorable, endearing, and perfectly in sync with his co-actress KIM SO HYUN, whom I adore and who also fits the genre very well. They had superb chemistry! They are so similar on a human level that you can feel it through the screen.

Lee Sang Yi completely dazzled me! Not only was I a fan of his fighting style, his clothing style, his charisma, and his natural class (yes, that's a lot!), but his character was also truly endearing and understanding. He gave me SLS* (second lead syndrome) in spades! Honestly, with this trio, I wanted to say to the girl: "But actually, choose both!" How can you choose between two angels? Once again, a great actor, he really has it all!

I won't even mention Oh Jung Se, who is extraordinary; he manages to merge once again with his character, who was Machiavellian!

Regarding the story, it's never boring! Each episode is full of twists and turns and keeps us on the edge of our seats; I was amazed every time. We experience a whole range of emotions, as our heroes often find themselves in situations that seem hopeless... then, against all odds, things end up working out.

Is the story easy? Yes and no. It's true that some situations are resolved quite quickly, almost as if by magic at times (especially certain alliances), but overall, everything remains coherent and, above all, very entertaining. We're constantly searching for the slightest clue, hoping to gather crumbs of information to better understand everyone's intentions and actions.

As you can see, Good Boy is a drama rich in entertainment, charming, thrilling, and driven by a healthy dose of kindness thanks to a team of incredibly endearing characters! I thrilled, trembled, and loved it right along with them. It's, in my opinion, a remarkable drama, one that puts a lot of other "chill" thrillers of the same genre to shame (like Police University, Rookie Cops, etc.). What's more, for the lazy or beginners, it's even available in French audio, despite its 16 episodes! Admittedly, there are a few small weaknesses: in 12 episodes, the plot (especially on the "bad guys'" side) could have been a little more condensed. But honestly, there's no slowness to report.

It's a drama that can appeal to many, because it's truly versatile. It manages to combine rom-com, action, and more serious thrillers, all supported by stunts, visuals, and a top-notch OST! And UNITY IS STRENGTH!
I definitely recommend THE GOOD BOY!

BANGER 10/10 !!!

Action, love and friendship?

What I thought of the series: Action, love and friendship?

Yes, and of course it went home with me. Then it's about police officers so it goes home even more. :P

good boy..

holy guacamole this show was a rollercoaster. it definitely had me on my toes every 5 seconds. first off i wanna say that i absolutely adored park bo gum's character and performance, he can fit into that role like no other. i don't think that i can see anyone else playing yoon donju!! anyway that one guy who was dongju's bsf or wtv (idk his name but he had the foodie mom) high key made my blood boil but at the same time i kind of felt bad for him bc he could tell that dongju pitied him since he basically ended his career before it started. dongju and hanna were so adorbs omg i love them sm. i felt bad for lee sangyi's character (kim juhyeon) bc that boy deserved some love.. (hanna don't want him so i'll take him) captain mansik was so freaking funny!! (literally everyone had me giggling but he made me laugh the most) i also adored mansik's daughter jeong-a bc she was grabbing onto kim juhyeon and she had a very valid response. jae-hong and his family were the cutest thing ever and his wife is a hero bro bc if my man was abt to die, i woulda crashed out bc i got like 3 of ur spawns. this whole show was so badass since the first episode when dongju had the paint all over him and he was getting ready to beat everyone up!! (i felt so much aura coming through the screen it was insane) min juyoung and oh jongju were such a good villians bc everytime they showed up, i wanted to end someone. my favorite character was probably hanna bc her and her weapons had me in a grip (had me acting like dongju fr) i think that this story was good but there were some times where i didn't care to watch and that's fine. yes i would absolutely watch it again bc i haven't watched any kdramas and this will probably stick and haunt me until im like 50. do i plan on watching it again rn? no (im lying)

I LOVED THISSS!!!!

Goodboy was a rollercoaster of emotions. I fail to understand how people can rate this any less than an 8. The cast, acting, story, humour and my personal favourite the BROMANCE that i rooted for throughout the show.
They love I have for Lee Sang Yi and Park Bo Gum is never ending, they were so iconic in their respective roles.
The action scenes were purely amazing…the tunnel fight i could watch for hours!!!
Their respective back stories and the emotional baggage they carry but still somehow end up finding each other

You must watch this masterpiece !!

I started this drama when only the 2 first episodes were released. I was looking for a comedy drama with action and a romance. I laugh a lot and the cast was the reason I started tbh with park bo geum and lee sang-yi (yeahhh I’m guilty 🫦) . But the action is incredible, the fighting scenes are so good and waiting for the next episode every weeks was so hard because of the differents plots twists. The story is original and you are always excited because everything can happen even the impossible!
If you love action, romance and good looking actors, watch it you won’t regret it .

GOODBYE, GOOD BOY! ⭐

My First Ongoing Series

I never expected would watch series when it was still aired. But, they always ended the episode by making viewers felt curious. Good boy is not action thriller genre drama so will not be appropriate with someone who wants to see plot twist everywhere. I fall for each characters and their relationship. Sometimes they give warm, funny, sweet, strong feeling to their story. The dynamic between our main characters and villains also enjoyable to watch. The battle progressively becomes intense. There will be always counterattacks from each side in every round. This drama about how they survive in every attack and keep getting back up after so many failure. They steadily develop the story from bottom to uplift. So there is no instant win here. And all the actors give their best. But, I can’t say Good boy was perfect one, there are also some flaws that can be tolerated. And the romance, I want to see Hanna Dongju story more than what Good Boy has already served. The couple has its own charm. They always be there by giving support, protection and understanding one another. Sometime they also fight together or for each other. Also they are really bold about their feeling since beginning.

Brotherhood, Brains, and Bullets – Good Boy Delivers All

One word for Good Boy: tight. It’s a tightly executed, action-packed drama with a great storyline that grips you more and more with each episode. After finishing all 16 episodes, I can confidently say this is one of the best action dramas I’ve seen in a long time. While on the surface it may seem like a classic cat-and-mouse game, what makes it stand out is the emotional depth and unique chemistry between characters that you rarely see in typical action dramas.

Park Bo Gum as Yun Dong Ju is simply phenomenal. I’ve always admired his work in dramas like Reply 1988 (my personal GOAT), When the Camellia Blooms, and Encounter, but Good Boy brings out a completely new side of him. He transforms into an action hero with such grace and intensity. What’s even more impressive is how grounded and humble his character remains—no ego, just strength with purpose and heart. His never-give-up attitude and emotional vulnerability are portrayed beautifully.

Kim So Hyun plays the only female lead, and honestly, I felt her character could have been more impactful. I’m not saying she did a bad job, but considering the screen time and potential, I expected more from her performance. She had space to explore her character further, and I wish the writers gave her more edge.

Lee Sang Yi once again proves he is the king of bromance. From Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha to My Demon, and now Good Boy, he brings so much charm and balance to his roles. He’s funny, dependable, and his chemistry with the rest of the cast is top-notch.

Heo Sung Tae and Tae Won Seok also deserve mention. Both had substantial screen time and made the most of it, especially Ko Man Sik, who stood out more for me than Sin Jae Hong. Sin Jae Hong didn’t get as many impactful scenes compared to the others, but still delivered well within his space.

The absolute scene-stealer here is Oh Jung Se as Min Ju Yeong. What a brilliant actor. I’ve been a fan of his since It’s Okay to Not Be Okay, and I thought that was his best, but this role proved he has even more depth. His portrayal of a lonely, broken yet sharp villain is so layered. You’ll find yourself understanding him and even feeling sympathy at times. His dynamic with Dong Ju is fascinating—two lonely souls mirroring each other in different ways. Their interactions are intense yet oddly touching.

The drama starts off in a way that might make you question the 16-episode length, especially since there’s only one main villain and a large lead unit. But the more you watch, the more it becomes clear—this isn't a simple hero-vs-villain story. Min Ju Yeong isn’t just a villain; he’s the heart of the narrative, and the way his relationship with Dong Ju evolves is something you rarely see in K-dramas.

There’s a bit of romance too, and while there are some nice kiss scenes, the spark between the male and female leads isn’t very strong. It’s not a dealbreaker though, because the focus lies elsewhere—on bromance, camaraderie, and the mental games between hero and villain. The comic timing among the main unit is also surprisingly good, giving a light touch to an otherwise intense drama.

The writing is clever, the pacing keeps you engaged, and it never feels like the action is just there for the sake of it. Every punch, every plan, every betrayal has meaning and weight.

Overall, Good Boy isn’t just an action drama. It’s a smartly written, emotionally rich story with standout performances, especially from Park Bo Gum and Oh Jung Se. If you’re a fan of well-made action dramas with real story and character development—not just mindless fights—this is a must-watch.

Must watch 2025 drama

One of the few best dramas that aired this year. The story is fun and it’s a light watch or binge. No brainer. The cute moments between characters do make up for lackings. The acting is also good. All the actors are veterans so… Overall it was a fun show.
The story is a first time experience i don’t think i have seen a drama based on olympics athletes. Add some police-hero action and it transforms in a truly unique story. Sometimes it reminded me of Flexxcop but with more thrilling action by our main leads.

JUST WATCH IT

I don't have much to say here, you guys just have to watch this series. It may be because this is my cup of tea, it is a genre I particularly like, but I don't give 10s like that, I'm kinda strict. I liked it all, everything. I didn't want it to end, guys. Acting, production, story, music; I could see, hear and feel the amazing work and the high budget beyond this. My favourite episode is number 13: you'll see Han-na at her best, she's my favourite character. She's amazing, cool, smart, beautiful, just everithing.
Go watch it !!
