Sort of “Meh” for Me
When an online novelist makes a wish in a Fairy pool for “an unforgettable love” she’s shocked when her story’s villain appears! Despite her attempts to avoid him, he easily finds her & threatens her into taking care of him. But unfortunately for him, her wish came with a special bonus - anytime she needs help, he’s teleported to her side to protect her. Which gives us both humorous & heartwarming scenes…I was super excited for this drama when it aired, but I’m sorry to say it didn’t meet my expectations (don’t hate me!) I don’t want my dislikes to at all dissuade others from watching it, though, so I’ll keep this extremely brief. Plus, I never want to bash or downplay the hard work & efforts of everyone involved in the drama making process (cast, directors, writers, set designers, hair & costume, producers, etc.) Just because I didn’t particularly enjoy it does NOT mean it’s a bad drama. It simply means it’s not the drama for me. But all the glowing reviews prove that others have a far different opinion than mine, which is perfectly alright. We’re all allowed to enjoy (or not enjoy as the case may be) whichever dramas we want.
Honestly, the premise of the story was good & the cast all did their characters justice. I think my problem may have been that I’d just fallen in love with the ML’s character from another one of his dramas, “Our Secret”, which is such a beautiful coming-of-age story. He gave that character such life & had fantastic chemistry with his FL co-star that it’s still one of my favorite high school age cdramas (you can check out my review of it if you’d like!) And I just didn’t feel that same kind of chemistry or connection between the Leads of this drama. BUT I know tonnnnnnns of other drama fans disagree & think this duo did awesome together so you’ll have to decide for yourself. 😉
This definitely has its funny moments. And it’s sweet moments. It also has some sad & heartbreaking moments. Which all leads to a beautiful & satisfying happy ending for the Leads - one they very much deserve.
So again - don’t let my low rating stop you from watching it because Mr. Bad could end up being one of your go-to favorites!

Amazing chemistry
I loved the whole drama, their story and for that reason I ignore the last scene that suggests it's all a story. But the chemistry and acting is amazing.I just wanted to know that everything is real because it doesn't make sense for her not to be with the guy from the past. ❤️ 🫰🏼🫰🏼🫰🏼🫰🏼🫰🏼🫰🏼🫰🏼🫰🏼🫰🏼🫰🏼🫰🏼🫰🏼🫰🏼🫰🏼🫰🏼🫰🏼🫰🏼🫰🏼🫰🏼🫰🏼🫰🏼🫰🏼🫰🏼🫰🏼🫰🏼🫰🏼🫰🏼🫰🏼🫰🏼🫰🏼🫰🏼🫰🏼🫰🏼 🫰🏼🫰🏼🫰🏼🫰🏼🫰🏼🫰🏼🫰🏼🫰🏼🫰🏼🫰🏼🫰🏼🫰🏼🫰🏼🫰🏼🫰🏼🫰🏼🫰🏼🫰🏼 ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️Was this review helpful to you?

"Mr. Bad" tells the story of Nan Xing, an online writer that has no luck in love. One day, she makes a wish and unexpectedly, the villain from her novel, Xiao Wu Di gains life.In the beginning the two fight like kids, because Nan Xing has the power to control Xiao Wu Di, but eventually they fell in love, the problem is that Xiao Wu Di isn't really real.
It's a very cute drama, I have to say, but it's really not my style of story.
The relationship between Nang Xing and Xiao Wu Di it's basically a fairy tale, since he came into her life out of a wish and the moments between them are very cute, but for me it was all very dull, they couldn't capture me.
The beginning is cool, when Xiao Wu Di treats her like a slave and was acting like a villain, but a short time later he becomes a little lamb in love and then the drama lost me. Obviously I imagined that the drama would end with them getting married, even though they've only been together as a couple for a very short time and there was no need for that now, but it's the biggest cliche of all, so it had to appear in such a drama filled with it.
Now what I found incredible was the twist about why Xiao Wu Di appeared and that it was all because of Xiao Jun, which was a wish he made as a child, to protect Nan Xing. Now that was something interesting and something I wasn’t expecting! But I was confused when Nan Xing calls Wu Di, Mao Xiao Jun at the end... does that mean he's living with Xiao Jun's identity?! But how is that possible if the boy died?!

Undeniable chemistry & great acting skills
What can I say about this series? I am a fan of Shen Yue since ALSB. I have watched her shows, all of it. But I watched this without any expectations. It's just another romcom that she appeared in. Huh! Little did I know, that I would love this. I was caught by their undeniable chemistry, hook line and sinker. They were really great in acting. I cried whenever there's a touchy scene. Giggled when it's funny. I truly felt that their reel relationship is real. I love Chen Zhe Yuan and I discovered him through this show. I might start fangirling over their cp. Scratch that, I am already fangirling over them. The story is so cliche right. A character from a novel transmigrated. They fell in love. It's nothing new. What made this drama click, it's because of Shen Yue, Chen Zhe Yuan, and the brilliant director. I will add this to my list of dramas to watch again and again.
I will use up all of my quotas for birthday wish and wish that they get to be paired up again. I'd like it to be a costume drama but I'm not picky. As long as it's them again.

Such a cute and comfort zone!
In MDL and my Twitter, I wrote a long review to RWTW only, even I liked a lot of dramas, I didn't know what to say haha. But this is a second time that I write a review, a long long review in both MDL and Twitter, to express how much I love this drama. I love Mr. Bad. And everything in this story is suitable for me!I like Chen Zheyuan, his first drama I've watched is Hidden Love, but I still don't finish it (only last 2 episodes I'll finish), and his second drama I've watched is Sword and Fairy 4, and I finished it in few weeks ago. This is his third drama and I watched about 4-5 episodes a day, and last 8 episodes a day! When I watched a drama on iPad, I easily lost my concentration, especially when I watched rom-com dramas, and I often scrolled my phone, maybe paused a drama just only in an half of hour. But Mr. Bad brings all of my attention! Xiao Wudi is everything, he locked my head to stay watching the story without playing my phone.
What I'm saying is about this sweet storyline. It's perfect on their own, totally worth watching and accepting it to be a heart healer. No toxicity, love triangle, and trauma, but still have character developments and their own plot twists for making audiences excited. I don't want to spoil anything, this drama is like drinking some smoothies, sweet and sour, you need to taste it and believe it by your full heart!
And Shen Yue, this drama makes me interested in her! I've seen her on my sns for a while and I'm not sure I had watched a drama of her before or never. But this is a pure talent to portrayed a cute and simple character without annoying audiences. I confess that the first 4-5 episodes, I'm curious how innocent she was, but after watching more in a few episodes, she is perfect on her role. Nan Xing shows me she has her own skills, and be an only part can fulfilling Xing Wudi. So, Shen Yue and Chen Zheyuan are a cute couple on screen, I assure about it.
All Ost. are soooooooooo cute and I listened on Apple Music like everyday. Shen Yue and Chen Zheyuan sang a song too! And it's so sweet, I was listening for an hour, this was shocking me after I knew what I've done hehe.
And for other characters, actors and actresses had done a good work! I like everyone in this drama, love the way they are! The crews were amazing and I want to thank you for their hardworking. The director makes this sweet drama comfortable to watch and I believe it was not easy at all.
So, I love Mr. Bad so much! It's perfect on their own! Everything in this drama made my heart warm!! People who have this drama on their lists or hesitate to watch it, PLEASE PLEASE WATCH! Because I'll rewatching it absolutely 🤍🤍🤍

postive vibes and real type of feelings
i am not that much into dramasmy female friend suggested me mr bad
but i told her 🙄i will not watch it
it will show the typical toxic male lead with bad behaviour.
being a boy I dnt like that kind of dramas who will show negative male person.
but it was opposite😍
it gives me full packaged surprise.
he was bad but in a good way,
it was just a name which nanxing gave it in her novel
both star cast have acted so well!the comic timing as well as the emotions of both actors were on top and the wedding scene was so real👨❤️💋👨
.no toxic scenes
i hate those dramas who always show males are toxic, some how it always affect the young generation in a negative way💔but this one gave me only postive vibes🎉

Waaaay better than expected.
I jumped into this without much expectations tbh but it really surprised me . I started enjoying it more with each episode. So the question is whether one should binge watching this?? Answer: YES YOU SHOULD. If you like light hearted stuff. The story is pretty simple and the subject matter is something which one might have watched or atleast read somewhere. (In my case I read many mangas with this kind of story ). Here the FL accidentally summons a devil lord not devil tbh a bad guy...umm...not a bad guy either. I mean atleast that's what synopsis says. ( He is not had tbh he is more like a smart dude). Seriously unlike other dramas usually ML would take atleast 4-5 episodes to understand the new reality or adapt to a new world but here my goodness he went straight to a place where he would get all the information he needed. LIBRARY!
Hahaha...and in one day or night he read everything from ancient to modern and understood science and all new discoveries. That's... really impressive. I wish I could have that sort of photographic memory. Sigh*
All the decisions ML takes are really smart he is not just handsome man he is rather connvining at times and knows how to deal with FL in his own ways. FL on the other hand is your nerdy sort of naive girl which could irritate few people at times but I forgive that because the actress really did a great job in portraying her character or maybe that type of role just suits her. She is adorable.
I must point out that all the actors here are really good. There are subtle actions which one can pick up if you are into acting and stuff that they have done remarkable job in portraying their emotions. Not for a moment you will think...yeah that is little extra.
Though this show is little weak in writing but what can one expect different from such a typical storyline. I mean anybody can guess what will happen in the following episodes pretty easily. Another thing that I liked was the second leads though there are some issues with their decision making (probably weak writing again) but they are good actors and unlike other dramas where you will see besties of ML and FL are usually ends up being a thing as if its mandatory. Here SL have no such relationships. One more person need special mention that is FL's mother. My goodness she was gorgeous and I still think she should be FL's sister or something not Mother. But well...
As I said I have certain issues with the writing but what irked me most is the writing for FL. She like a pendulum. At times she is portrayed like a strong athelete and after some time she will be like damsel in distress and the next if the scene requires her to be stronger she will again revert back to her strong self. The FL is oscillating between strong and weak and not sticking to her character which is an athelete atleast she can remove her heal from that crack herself...you will know what I mean if you will watch.
Okay now that I have get it out of my chest...this show on the positive end is pretty enjoyable ( not to nitpick about silly things ). It is fluffy light hearted and you will keep on smiling till the end. And if you are into the dramas with beautiful cast then it will definitely be your cup of tea. Overall I did not get bored watching the show for a single moment at least for now. So go watch it and share your thoughts as well.

Sweet quasi-fantasy healing drama improves over time
This Show works because of three things. Firstly, a well crafted script that is tropey but self aware enough to know not to pile on the clichés but works with the tropes instead. Secondly, the casting of the leads is perfect. The FL has done her fair share of dramas but her forte is a sassy girl with a heart of gold but a novice in love. She definitely has the titular role here. The ML is handsome with a bit of the bad boy vibe yet possessed enough vulnerability to make him likeable and relatable. Thirdly, the OTP has great chemistry. It is not just about the feels but they look comfortable and happy around each other so that you can believe that they are best friends as well as madly in love.I would have given this show an even higher score but for a few missteps. The start of the show is a bit weak and tropey. They steamrolled through a few plot holes to set up the main plot. It is just as well that the show improves as the story progresses or it would have been just another same-same quasi-fantasy rom-com. The fact that the show evolved into a poignant healing drama was unexpected and most welcomed. The production value is decent rather than high. Some of the set do look a bit low rent.
There is a lot of growth in the OTP but surprisingly, the 2OTP was the CP dragging their heels. Their development was definitely arrested and to be honest, a bit boring.
I think the FL really shines in this show. She displayed good emotional range and much of it feels genuine. Her interactions with the ML becomes more and more natural over time. The ML complimented her very well. Their swoon worthy moments are believable and even touching at times.
Of course, the fantasy element can complicate the plot but rather than just simply telling us to ask no questions because it is a fairy tale, the Show tries to give us a plausible explanation and a path forward. I appreciate that.
The last episode is total fan service and I really enjoyed it. The special speech in that episode was wonderful. I don't know if it was all scripted or some of it was ad-libbed but it feels natural, heartfelt and funny. Can't really ask for more.
The Show is sweet but not loaded with artificial sweeteners. It has a decent amount of skinship and it will lift your mood. . There are angsty bits but they are necessary to propel the story forward. Thankfully, there are no silly breakups, nasty parents or psycho ex's.
OST works well. Rewatch is not a chore. I would recommend this Show.

Amazing drama
Must watch if you want to get small pretty butterflies. The acting is not cringe. Ost is good. Quality of drama is also good. However skipped some fillers some including 2nd lead. The start was not slow, it was pretty much interesting
I wished they had shown more visuals over the historic part and made the ml a little bit more mischievous in further episodes , but it was okay as he liked the fl 1st.
The fl is a great actress, no overacting and no making cringe faces.
The romance development was the best part of the drama further best was strory and then the overall visualls of drama

you definitely need to watch this!
i highly recommend this drama to everyone. i was hesitant to watch this at first due to the reviews being 50/50. but since i like both actors, i decided to give it a go and it was the best decision i ever made. this is a funny, cute and entertaining drama.i rated almost every episodes 5 out of 5, because i genuinely enjoyed watching this. firstly, they’re very funny together. also, there’s ⭐️ no breakup ⭐️. if they’re having any problems, they’re very honest with each other and when he found out about being a fictional character, he didn’t blame her!!!!
and wait until the plot at the end, this character was created for one reason! some people claim that they don’t have any chemistry and that’s a lie, they’re very cute together and all their moments together are heartwarming!
also, there’s some criticism about him being created as an ‘evil villain’ character and when he’s in the real world, he instantly changes and he doesn’t act like a villain. but i don’t mind it, this had a purpose in the end, so just watch it and you won’t regret it!
the only downside in this drama is the second couple, they have no chemistry and their scenes are very boring.

I loved this drama. It’s such an enjoyable show to watch. There aren’t any annoying characters whose sole purpose is to irritate the viewer or cause unnecessary problems for the leads. I really liked the main characters and how they developed. Nan Xing is a bit silly at times, but she’s determined to achieve her goals and doesn’t give up easily. Xiao Wu Di may seem like a villain on paper, but we quickly see his good side, and he gradually becomes a genuinely likable person - without losing his bold, mischievous charm. I loved their relationship from the very beginning. Not only did they have amazing chemistry, but there was also this natural ease between them - you could just feel that they genuinely enjoyed being around each other. Everything about their connection felt real, so much so that it moved me to tears several times.A huge plus for me was also the main heroine’s mother. An Ni Na’s character was wonderful and definitely one of the best parents I’ve seen in Chinese dramas. There was no unnecessary drama - just a sincere portrayal of a mother’s real love for her child.
Mao Xiao Jun was also a very interesting character, and while watching, I couldn’t help but wonder how his story with Nan Xing might have unfolded if the fire hadn’t happened. I’d love to see an alternate storyline about that.
And I’ll go against a lot of opinions here - I actually liked the secondary couple, Lu Zi Chen and Ye Qing. Their relationship was interesting to me, and I rooted for them quite a lot. However, that changed once she went back to being his assistant. From that point on, something broke. The dynamic became strange, their storyline felt shallow, and the proposal scene was just weird.

A cute and fluffy drama which warms your heart
'Mr Bad' can easily be described as one of the most cute, fluffy tale of love. Although the drama itself has it's own plot holes and drawbacks and it isn't the most perfect one but non the less it's enjoyable as it'll surely bring a smile on your face.Few things which I thoroughly enjoyed was -
1. It's Positivity. The drama itself is very positive from the start without any kind of villain or typically used jealousy trope which is a great relief. It also gives a message to all the females that we should be ourselves and don't have to change our outer appreance for someone to like us. Your other half will like you just the way you are.
2. Chemistry. The chemistry between the leads were bubbling throughout the drama. They have more deeper conversation and hugs rather than lots of skinship and kisses and even though I'm not against it, it's refreshing how a drama could engage it's viewers without it. People are definitely going to swoon over this couple for sure. And not to mention one of the most healthy relationship I've ever seen.
3. The villain is the hero. Loved how xiao wudi isn't portrayed as the perfect hero which is another charm of this drama.
4. Female lead isn't the damsel in distress and even though xiao wudi had to save her, it's not because she can't fight but because of her own trauma because of which she was unable to. Though I really hoped to see her fight more like in the first episode but it's okay I guess.
5. Own concept with a new twist. Even though the concept of fictional character coming to life is nothing new but the way they've executed it was refreshing. They just didn't make the ML and FL fall for eachother from the very beginning and rather it was slow burn. Loved how ML was trying to set the FL up with other guys so that he could go back to his own world (which also shows that the ML was selfish and not the perfect hero to begin with.)
6. Side characters. Everyone was the typical rom com side characters and the drama was mainly focused on the leads so there isn't much they've done and played a very significant role. Whatever they were assigned with they did a pretty decent job.
7. Mom of nan xing. God she was so understanding, positive and supportive that I loved her throughout the drama and loved her relationship with both the leads and she was extremely beautiful too.
Now the things I didn't liked -
1. The second couple - I couldn't find any kind of chemistry between them tbh. I think personally there individual scenes with others were great instead of them being together on screen. And it's not even about acting cause they acted well and portrayed there own individual character to life. But their story wasn't nurtured more and was dragged till the end untill they became a couple. I didn't understand their problems honestly. I mean the way they separated was something I found weird and not needed. They lacked chemistry and I felt like they were better off as friends because honestly I never felt that connection between those two.
2. To many unnecessary side characters - that sisi and the guy who liked and were friends with nan xing from college disappeared in the middle that I forgot about them tbh. They didn't have much screen time to begin with and doesn't have anything useful to do. All the colleagues that were introduced by name weren't also necessary.
3. The whole mao xiao jun plot was the most unnecessary plot. The way that guy acted when he was alive with nan xing it won't take a genius to figure out that he didn't liked her. Nan xing thought he hated her witch wasn't wrong from her place. And then at last the script writers had to make him look like the best guy who cared so much about her and xiao wudi was actually his creation and xiao wudi got all those feelings because of mao xiao jun. They didn't just invalidate wudi's feelings towards nan xing. I mean nan xing clearly said that she just once mentioned the name xiao wudi to mao xiao jun then how in the world both of their main descriptions were same regarding xiao wudi's character and not to forget that he actually acted like a selfish villain which was similar to nan xing's character description and not like a perfect hero which mao xiao jun has made. I'll just assume that mao xiao jun was never there and xiao wudi was indeed the character from nan xing's fan fiction and he naturally fell for her but not because mao xiao jun.
Lastly I wanna say that the ost was pretty good to and matched the whole theme of the drama.
