Although the Mysterious Lotus Casebook (MLC) is not out yet, they have a similar plot about a powerful character that disappears; then re-appear after a period of time to fight calamity. Both dramas have the same ML and includes a level of bromance (From what I saw in the trailer). If you like one definitely give the other one a chance (when it comes out)

In both, two skilled male leads associate with each other. One is severly injured and there supposedly is not any way to save him. In both, one male lead is very knowledgeable about martial art sects and matters ( Li Lianhua et Zhou Zishu). Also, there is a treasure everyone wants to get.
In WOH, the ultimate rival of the male lead is the other male lead but in MLC, the ultimate rival is the third male lead ( Di Feisheng).
MLC is about several cases connected to each other because one male lead is a detective whereas we can't say that there are cases in WOH even if the male leads investigate about some things.

I think both features really good friends who considered each other as family ( or "soulmates" in WOH from the words of the male leads ).

Whispers of Fate really reminds me of Mysterious Lotus Casebook. Both are adaptations of works by the same author and share a focus on mystery, case-solving, and strong brotherhood bonds rather than romance. They mix wuxia, fantasy, and humor in a poetic way — with heartfelt moments, fun scenes, and great character dynamics. That balance of depth and lightheartedness makes both dramas so enjoyable to watch.

Sick/weak ML whose a genius mastermind and hiding under an alias? Friends who are skilled in martial arts and have to protect him? A love interest that cannot be, but mutual respect? Good story? Solving cases and undoing evils of the past? Check check and check!! While Nirvana in Fire is an older drama, it's a cult classic for a reason. If you loved the dynamic between Li Xiangyi/Lianhua and friends, you will definitely grow to love Mei Changsu

Sword Snow Stride is similar to Mysterious lotus casebook because both habe following aspects.

The stories are similar in the sense that they are creepy and people believe ghost/demons are behind it. But the ML investigates and explains how they are murdered or orchestrated.
