comedy is comedying
i went into watching this with no high expectations, but...- comedy bits weren't over the top
- full of action
- great cinematography
- easy to follow storytelling
- too predictable antagonist, but i can let that one slide
- happy ending
i would call it a great film for movie night.

A Good Action, Spy, Thriller
This is a movie with many familiar kdrama faces and then some. The actors, made it all seem effortless but entertaining at the same time. Hwang Jung Min doesn’t make many films or dramas, but when he does star in a show, it’s always worth a look.Overall, it was a decent spy/action/thriller that starts to hit its straps around the 45 minute mark. Up until then, it was a bit ho hum for me and not all that interesting except, however, I knew at some point, the leads would start to deliver - and they do.
This movie had a decent budget and the action scenes bear this out. The movie sets were utilised well - not too many, so the budget was used effectively.
Yum Jung Ah as the jaded detective captain who relies on her house husband turned in a very relatable performance. Jeon Hye Jin turned in another good performance and I would like to see her in more roles like this one.
At the end of the day, it was a movie well worth an afternoon watch on the weekend. Grab some lunch or popcorn and a drink, settle in and enjoy the ride 😉

Mission Obvious
Mission Cross had a strong cast saddled with flatly drawn characters and action. It lacked what a sexy thriller that blatantly copied some Mr. and Mrs. Smith moments requires, at least a modicum of chemistry between the leads. I like both actors but it was hard to understand how they ever ended up--or stayed--married.Detective Kang Mi Seon, aka The Crocodile, is less than thrilled with her school bus driver and house husband, Park Gang Mu. They’ve been married for a few years and her kindest compliment is that she could have done worse. She leads a team tracking down drug dealers and a missing CEO, and stumbles upon a secret government cover-up. Park Gang Mu works hard to make Kang’s day easier any way he can in the new life he has chosen. He is contacted by an old spy friend whose husband has gone missing. Though Park had given up his undercover life he is willing to come out of retirement to help old friends. The spouses unknowingly begin working on the same investigation from different angles.
The first hour of the film dragged for me as Kang’s team thought that her “wifey” was having an affair. Park’s instincts had definitely rusted as he never realized he and Jang Hui Ju were being followed and photographed by the bumbling detectives. He also never questioned anything. I kept hoping he and another spy were playing a con on the Big Bad, but nope. They were the ones being played by a patently obvious fake out. Made me lose all respect for them. The writing was painfully bland with no surprises. At least Kang was a competent police officer which was a nice change of pace.
The film didn’t become more engaging until the last 30 minutes and even then, the fights were badly staged. The Big Bad overacted. The fire fights weren’t shot very well. The cinematography and direction lacked a professional, polished look to them. Basically, given the cast, I was disappointed. This paint by numbers script had no depth or originality, no spark. Hwang Jung Min and Yeom Jung Ah deserved better.

Spoilers!
"Mission Cross" was such a crazy movie! It had a ton of action, and the fight scenes were super cool. But what really made it fun was how funny it was too. The characters were always throwing out these random jokes, even when things were getting wild, which made it way more entertaining. And the ending? I did not expect Jonathan to show up like that. It totally surprised me and made everything even crazier. The twist at the end had me like, "What just happened?" It was a really fun ride, and I definitely didn’t see that ending coming.

Fun but forgettable
Not gonna lie. I had fun watching this movie but ultimately this seems like one of those average Netflix movies. I guess what bothers me the most is that the movie resembles Hollywood action comedies a little too much and I wouldn't want Korean movies going that direction. In terms of comedy and action, the film provides enough material. I didn't find some jokes funny at all, but others made me laugh out loud. Also, the production is at a high level so we have some very good action scenes. The plot is interesting, but forced. Many events happen without any logic, but so that the story can take the desired course. This is an ideal movie for those who want to refresh a boring evening, but it is not a movie that will be on any top lists.

Mission Cross: partners in love and in battle
I stumbled upon this movie during a casual search, and when I saw the synopsis about a former agent and his detective wife, I got curious to see how and when their missions would cross paths — just like the title suggests. The film opens with the everyday life of Park Gang-Mu (played by Hwang Jung Min). He’s a devoted husband: cleans the house, cooks, does the laundry, and takes care of his wife. He also works as a kindergarten driver. His goofy personality hides his past surprisingly well. Meanwhile, Kang Mi-Seon (played by Yeom Jung Ah) fights crime in a mostly male team. She’s bold and fearless, shaped by her past as a national shooting athlete and strengthened by her job, where being sharp and tough seems like a must.
As a couple, they give off that vibe of two people who’ve lived together for years but still know so little about each other. Everything changes when, during one of Park Gang-Mu’s most mundane moments, someone from his past shows up and pulls him back into a web of crime he knows all too well. Things get even more interesting when Kang Mi-Seon’s coworkers misinterpret the encounter and start speculating that her husband is having an affair — those scenes are honestly hilarious.
When the past resurfaces and a supposed affair comes into play, their missions cross from totally different angles. It’s fun and engaging, and they managed to balance action and humor really well throughout the story. I did wish the movie was a bit longer and included a clever flashback showing how they met — the exact moment their lives crossed paths. I personally missed that. Oh, and that final reference? Absolutely hilarious 🤣🤣🤣

worth watching
didn't even noticed it came out today ahah saw the date here, random watch on Netflix tonightI wasn't expecting much, but I enjoyed this movie. I read the synopsis and I thought it could be interesting
- I think the idea of the plot in general is interesting.
- the acting was good
- had some funny moments
- For me a bit slow at first and I was waiting for her to find out
- I enjoyed the action and fighting scenes
- I like the part when they rescued the guy. I was like how the hell will they out, but the plan was pretty perfect after all. I'm still sad he died. When he said his wife disappeared after ML stopped working... I was like well damn! but later on it all made sense why it seemed to easy to get him out
- I was truly shocked with the plot twist for the villain, didn't saw it coming
- the ending was okay
It's a good watch to pass time in my opinion, I would recommand

A true comedy
So many movies are rated as a comedy even if only one funny thing happens in the whole thing. This movie was a true comedy. It reminded me somewhat of the American movie - True Lies. What happens when your spouse isn't what you thought he/she was?I appreciate that the comedy wasn't over the top. The action sequences were good and the relationship between the husband and wife was something I think anyone that has ever been married can relate to. Who hasn't thought of their spouse at one time or another, "What an idiot."?

It had a strong start, we all love an independent woman in the police force that is a bit wacky. She was my favourite no nonsense cut the chase. She proves she deserves her place on the force.
Totally misjudged the husband believing he is a pushover to learn he isn't and can bet out of sticky situations.
The middle was absolutely not worth it as it turned into who can catch the cheating husband. I spent a lot of time skipping for my sanity
The ending was so average in every aspect.
I had no clue what the plot was apart from money South Korea and missiles

Can’t judge a book by it’s cover.
I had no expectations at the start of the movie. I busted out laughing the first 5 minutes thinking okay let’s see what’s up here. I checked out who the leads were and they both had a good drama resume’. Interesting opening to see their roles were switched. The wife being the “dude” in her job and the quiet house husband. Her guys being suspicious and watching out for her was the slow peeling back of the onion layers and I said to myself- okay we got some action here! Yes I recommend this as a watch and it was quite entertaining 👍👍👍Was this review helpful to you?
sometimes one needs a total easygoing brainless watch
the “gender role switch” was really funny, he was a househusband, she was a total kickass cop bossThen it got funny with the misunderstanding , and the jokes were cheesy but fun
It could’ve been better, like the fighting and choreography were too good it felt obv staged
The bad guy stuff, I mean yeah sure no one really pays attention to what the big bad is doing, lol it’s either always weapons or money laundering
it's also nice to see a normally happily married couple, she wasn't hurt and wanted revenge, she was jealous and wanted to make sure it's not true cuz she genuinely loved him and he loved her
It lacked in the overall scheme, the characters were just the needed ones, and two against a hundred is a bit overboard , but as a fast easy watch, it was refreshing to atleast have cool characters
