Chemistry between the leads is good, worth the time spent watching it!
I usually tend to avoid mini-dramas like these because they lack flow and are not very coherent. This one flowed smoothly, was easy to follow and the chemistry between the leads was so damn good. It was also the light drama that I needed to watch to get rid of the C-Trauma I watched before this. The acting was good. The story was nice. All is on a good drama.
The only thing amiss was the ending. It is an happy ending, but it would have felt nice, if the ML would have acknowledged that he remembered the past times. But the way it ended, we aren't sure if he remembers. Other than that, this has made me want to give mini-dramas another try.

Saw them at Glory(2025)
Went and watched the drama after seeing an edit of them, when they reunited at a new drama(Glory 2025). Didn't think they were a couple in a previous drama. After seeing the drama, they have potential seriously, I mean like it's insane though cause the amount of artists in China are numerous so I understand why they still haven't made a breakthrough cause well they acted well in the drama and is acting much better at a newer project even as a supporting cast only. Very short but the best part of it was that it was linear and wasn't messy at all, it was very understandable and did well with what they had for production. Pretty overpowered though to not die three times already hahahaha. Pretty much a one time watch though, something you watch if you don't have time. I would actually like to see them again as a couple and as leads in a full production drama, I'm sure they can do well, but it probably will never happen. Pretty decent though, the acting wasn't cringe and the plot wasn't lost in the sauce even with 6-8 minutes per episode. Was this review helpful to you?

Model Student for Short-length Dramas
I. IntroductionThis is what all short-length/ web dramas should aspire to. The synopsis above is incorrect as this isn't a transmigration story, but a rebirth one. In the first life, the FL married the ML and they were affectionate but not deeply in love (as alluded to in later episodes). However, the ML plotted a rebellion and the couple was granted a peaceful death by poisoned wine. The FL drinks the poisoned wine, but finds herself waking up on the morning the rebellion is scheduled to take place. She manages to knock the ML out, but they are again granted death by poisoned wine when the ML's accomplices proceed with the rebellion in his absence. So the FL drinks the poisoned wine again, and finds herself waking up the day the emperor granted an engagement between the FL and the ML. This time, by hook or by crook, she plans to avoid the ML and all palace intrigues to save her life and her sanity.
The plot device is allowed to flourish at an adequate pace, without random scenes or continuity issues. The performance, while not perfect, still draws you in to believe the characters' feelings and perception. The setting, staging, music, and clean happy ending all come together to create a worthwhile ~4-hour diversion.
II. Storyline/ Plot
I absolutely loved the storyline. Let me count the whys: (1) The FL showed deep character development. She starts off as a 胆小怕死 blasé twit, intent at avoiding the ML at all costs, but grows braver once she understands her feelings for him. (2) There are hints sprinkled throughout the episodes that the ML remembers his first two lives, and the grand reveal in the final episode compelled me to rewatch the series from the start to review the hints. (3) There is subversion of expectations--I expected the ML to be an overbearing twat, but in episode 12 he vehemently argued that even if he was interested in the FL, the FL had to be willing to accept his interests (before he pursued her). Even the timely comedic scenes subverted expectations, e.g., when the FL trusses the ML up like a turkey in episode 1, when the second prince only wants the ML to lose his crown prince position but not his life or his reputation, when the betrothal gifts were pushed back and forth, when they argued in episode 13 and the ML pauses in storming out when he realised he was storming out of his own palace, when the FL's parents leave her at the mercy of the ML, etc. (4) The romance was not forced, and the development of the characters' feelings were paced well. (5) The ending wrapped up loose ends really well, even if there were some openings to keep viewers guessing, just none that were too frustrating.
Points are deducted for the use of modern gaming slang (e.g., 老六, 猪队友), causing confusion that this is a transmigration story instead of a rebirth story, and for the mess that is episode 23. I mean, if he could fling the sword like that, why didn't he do so from the start?
III. Characters
ZJM is a beautiful, mischievous FL trying to get out of the clutches of the ML. LF is better at expressing obstinacy, care, mischief, and cunning here, than he was in My Villain Husband. The chemistry between ZJM and LF is adorable, leaving me gushing and squealing at times. The ML's rivalry and brotherly affection with his brother (the second prince) is humorous and touching-- they are allowed to kick their brother in the nuts but nobody else is allowed to insult (or make use of) their sibling. This drama definitely made good use of the ~4 hours to showcase good character development for the FL and ML, and explore facets of the second prince rather than taking the easy path of making him a one-dimensional villain. The supporting cast did so well in their roles--even the geese in the betrothal gifts were paid actors!
IV. Production Aspects
The drama boasts impressive production value with a well-designed, visually-appealing set. My word, the costumes are gorgeous-- the delicate details that went into the FL's and ML's costumes and makeup! The production team also invested in two songs that elevate the drama to almost full-length drama quality, and are complete ear worms.
V. Conclusion
A must watch and a must rewatch for the times when you need something simple and simply gratifying.

Cute little short drama
I really liked this little drama and so far down my Li Fei (Richard) journey of dramas I have to say this is one of my favorites. Li Fei shines in the dramas I have watched of him so far, but this one was done very well for a short drama. It wasn't confusing or felt like there was huge gaps left for you to figure out for yourself. It was a cute simple straight forward watch. This is about the fl being given poison for being married to a prince that commits treason, and her finding out how to get herself not to be involved in it. She wants to live and the third try she wakes up where she has just been engaged to the prince. So she figures if she never marries him that she will be safe. Since is is a short drama you don't have to wait forever for the third life. The two leads I found really cute together and wanted to know more about their story. It really goes quickly I didn't find any scenes boring or think they didn't have to include that. Also found the guy that played the male leads brother kinda funny. He didn't want his little brother getting to be emperor but he also didn't want to see his little brother die. Not to often you see that between royal brothers.

It really good but ....Just y can't they give a proper ending, don't leave it to my imagination
Why the last ep is like that, it was great seeing brothers with understandtable competition rather stabbing at back. But just y the last ep is like that if they are reborn they should have had same life, and the brother marrying the envoy also, they left like that yyyyyyy
I have same doubt ---Did he also know their past lives. On the other side his body guard telling the story of their two past lives and earned the money . So his body guard also knew something . Or it all just coincidences. Last part confused me .

Not profound, but hey—neither is my snack drawer. Still satisfying.
Sometimes I wonder if Richard Li is actually improving—or if I’ve developed a case of light fantasy Stockholm syndrome. Either way, I didn’t mind him in this drama. He’s charming, tolerable, and no longer delivering lines like he’s decoding IKEA manuals mid-scene. That alone deserves a slow clap. Add Zhao Jia Min to the mix, and suddenly we’ve got chemistry that works like an unexpected side dish you didn’t order but keep reaching for. They’re adorable, and so is this drama—cozy, low-stakes, and oddly snackable.Let’s be clear: this is not a drama that aims high. It’s another transmigration plot dusted off from the trope attic, tied up in romantic angst, fate-chasing, and a couple of soft-focus longing stares. I’ve seen enough of these to consider applying for dual citizenship in every timeline, and yet… I wasn’t mad. Maybe because it knows exactly what it is—recycled, but plated nicely. Like reheated dumplings from your go-to spot: familiar, satisfying, and spiced just right.
Zhao Jia Min breathes more emotional lift into the script than it probably deserves, and Richard Li manages to keep up without sinking it. Her character spends most of the time trying to outrun fate like it’s an overly persistent suitor in tragic cosplay, but somehow, the loop stays watchable. There’s just enough charm in the execution to keep the eye rolls at bay.
Final verdict? You can hop timelines, rewrite destinies, and protest fate all you want—but the drama gods will drag you back to your assigned OTP with a smirk and a plot twist. And honestly? You’ll thank them by episode six.

Visually pleasing to the eyes!
I like the cast, the acting of both of the leads are good. Their visual also so eyecandy. I like the colour palate of the drama, for a short drama this is actually a real good production. The support characters also good. Just the story seems too rush and at some part a bit confusing. In the synopsis they said it's a transmigration story. But from what I saw it's more like regression. I like that it's a happy ending, just I was a bit confused about what actually happened. Overall the story is also good, it's just the ending a bit confusing. Was this review helpful to you?

Short and sweet. I finished the whole drama in a day. With some dramas I feel like some parts are too dragged out but with Deliberations of Love I feel the opposite. I feel like the drama could've easily been extended at the end to explain how everyone remembered their past lives because it was literally just thrown in at the last 6 minutes. I wouldn't say writing wise the drama is anything new (kind of predicted everything) but the execution was good.I thought Yueqing was a fun character. She had her funny moments while also having a clear head and clear motives. Her and Pei Xun were cute I wish they had even more screentime together. Honestly looked like they had a pretty happy life the first time before having to drink poison which makes me wish there were more flashbacks to it.

Light and sweet romance mini drama that excels in comedy
Richard Li is mentioned a lot in reddit posts so I chose this mini drama to see his work. What I liked:
1) Comedy - I never expected to laugh and chuckle while watching a mini drama. Comic relief provided mostly by Liu Yue Qing's father & Pei Yan and they did great job.
2) Richard Li - At first I thought he was a pretty boy but as the series progressed, I enjoyed his acting. He was able to convey different emotions and my favourite is when he was concerned for Liu Yue - there was sincerity there.
3) Romance - I enjoyed their romantic scene from the drugged tea to the ink grind. The scenes were sweet.
4) Supporting characters - Great use of supporting characters e.g. Han Zhen, Mr Liu, Pei Yan.
What I disliked:
1) Writing - I feel like the writer could do more with the main characters. While I enjoyed the romance between Pei Xun and Liu Yue Qing, their individual characters were not fully fleshed out. Her purpose for transmigration is not explained in this series. So I didn't feel any connection to them and would be less inclined to re-watch this series or worse, remember this series. The villain arc was predictable but it could have done better too. I also didn't realise FL was a modern woman until I read the synopsis.
2) Ending - The ending was lacklustre after a climatic penultimate episode. The last episode was only 7 minutes including intro & end credits. Writer could have added a scene about FL's purpose for transmigration or implications of her decision.
Favourite scene:
When Han Zhen brought Pei Xun's betrothal gifts to the Liu family

To the point, and smooth to watch
I am not much into vertical dramas tbh..If the story and acting both sucked i would not have completed this. Though i did watch it in 2x speed.. i did enjoy the directness of the drama and the fact that i didnt have to skip scenes.. The elder brother of the prince was maybe my most favorite character.
It was refreshing for the first time in a while for the guard of the ml to respect and support the fl from the start instead of presumptously speak ill of her~~
Like any other vertical dramas it has lots of heart fluttering scenes, cheesy dialogues and intimate interaction... cute banter etc.
Its good for pastime.

There are some episodes I enjoy and some episodes I found it funny
I have started watching from September 20, 2025, to September 27, 2025. I have watched the episodes on YouTube. I finally finished watching all 24 episodes. Liu Yueqing's character's personality is emotional security & peace, expressing gratitude, and cheerful. Pei Xun's character's personality is clever, arrogant, conceited, and short-tempered. It was funny in episode 1, Pei Xun was suspicious of Liu Yueqing telling him he's going to be a father soon. It's not very clear if Pei Xun was a crown prince in his second reincarnation lives. I like in episode 5, Liu Yueqing hugs Pei Xun. he was surprised when she kiss him in a confused state. I like in episode 5, Liu Yueqing holds Pei Xun's hands while talking to him. I like in episode 6, Pei Xun's martial arts fighting skills are very impressive! There are certain episodes where Pei Xun is he doesn't get his way the way he always wanted, and is not satisfied because in episode 13, Liu Yueqing says Your Highness, are you going to play dirty. I like in episode 12, Liu Yueqing was talking to Pei Xun, and she close her door on him. I like in episode 15, Pei Xun smile at Liu Yueqing. It was funny in episode 15, Pei Xun says Liu Yueqing is awake, and he looks at her. I enjoy Pei Xun forcefully moving towards Liu Yueqing in episode 15. I like in episode 23, Pei Xun tells Liu Yueqing how he remembered how they both first met each other. I dislike that Pei Yan was talking about his little brother's private affairs with Yu Minghe. I dislike how Yu Minghe holds onto Liu Yueqing when he asks her about the man she loves is Pei Xun. I am glad about their happy ending. I feel Pei Xun's new name is to keep his identity a secret so that nobody knows he is a prince. He is willing to give up his prince power and his desire to be emperor to be with Liu Yueqing and to be a commoner. He will be safer and be with someone he loves! I like the Chinese saying about May Pei Xun have a chance to look back after his experiences. May Liu Yueqing live the rest of her live without fear or worry. My Questions are: How does he remember his past lives, and the memories recover after the three reincarnation lives? How did he forget all of the important things that had happened over the years? Was this review helpful to you?
Funny but lacking in Romance
At first I think the FL doesn't have many emotions on her face. I only see sadness in her eyes, though she has big eyes. At least in the latter parts, we see that it has somewhat improved. This a very funny villain. The brother of the ML wanted to get the throne but doesn't want to harm his brother. At least he's a 'good' villain.
And the FL's father too has a dumfounded face during their engagement break off in episode 12. And the funny send and return bethrotal gifts in episode 13. 😅😂🤣
It's a short quick watch per episode. It has humor but somehow I feel it's lacking more romance. And the rebirth was used unli times that it gets redundant already. It's like there's no sense why she has that ability at all.
