My new favorite Thai BL
This show was amazing. An absolute beautiful masterpiece storyline and concept. I feel like the ending was a little rushed, but I think the rest of the story makes up for it. The progress from the beginning to the end of the story is very good. The way Jimmy perfectly depicted P’Mhok changing for his love for Day. Day also acted well as being disabled. Although the series had some depressing parts, it really contributed to the storyline. JimmySea underrated kings rise again! I definitely recommend this series to people who are looking for series with many emotions engraved in it!Was this review helpful to you?
Perfection.
This is my first review on MDL. Before watching this series, I’ve watched nearly 30+ series. Nothing, and I mean nothing, holds a candle to this.The story guides these two male leads and JimmySea deserve Oscar’s for their performances. Truly.
I slept on this show for so long, having been spoiled by the current NC scenes and the high tension between the “official” BL pairs. And believe me, they are incredible actors and I haven’t had a single BL I didn’t like.
But this, this is a masterpiece, even over Century Of Love and I think so highly of that one too.
This series is more than just a BL. It is an important story to humankind. To love naturally and fiercely no matter if it’s a partner, parent, sibling, friend, or stranger. To learn to be brave enough to let yourself grow. To see through someone else eyes and what that overly used phrase actually means. To the broken families of messy relationships, single moms that leave they deserve love, fathers that made good and bad decisions, and to siblings that overcome challenges that seem impossible. I hope that people of all walks of live in every aspect find this series and their eyes are opened by this love letter to humanity. Genius writing, directing, and acting.
Don’t sleep on this. Watch it. Like, yestersay. It will change your life.

amazing actors & touching story
This is the BL that made me fall in love with the genre. Sadly, I later realized that not all BLs are of this quality, but Last Twilight has it all: absolutely amazing acting, just the perfect amount of funny scenes without being an over-the-top-comedy (like too many other BLs), a cute straight side couple, and a truly moving story that made me cry more than once. Watching this is basically a healing journey. Yes, I would have wished for the ending to be a little different, but overall this is still a 10 out of 10. Masterpiece
The best bl drama i've seen so far.The things i like:
- great storyline, it's not some teenage love campus drama, but it's about life, hope, career, family and it shows lots of character's growth.
- chemistry between the actors
- great acting
- wonderful cinematography and soundtrack
- pacing it's just alright to me
- naration and life quotes
- the only bl drama that makes me cry (yes..last scene of episode 9. The last image Day saw.)
- "normal/conventional" side couples - aon/pla and night/porjai couple - i freakin' hate most of BL's made everyone gay/lesbian couples

First episode was good but not the best.
The first episode was good, but the story moved too fast. I just hope they showed how Day coped with what happened to him and what's with his brother. He's so mad, like, did he do something from the past?For me, if they just show the perspective of Day from the first episode, it will be much better than showing two perspectives at the same time with Mhok.
That's just me, based on what I've seen. I hope you guys don't be mad at me; this is just my opinion. I did really enjoy the first episode.

One of the best in 2023
One of the best BL series in 2023. The acting is superb, with a cinematography to match. If you are looking for a light BL series, this is one of them. Day plays a national artist in the world of badminton sports. He is plays a blind man having trouble accepting his fate until Mhok, his handsome but with a tough, macho personality in prisoned for assault caregiver came along.They compliment each other well. Day learned to hope and love again due to Mhok. In return, Mhok learned patience, understanding and kindness because of Day.
Their journey blossoms into a wonderful relationship. I just hope this series has a happy ending.

Uma joia rara entre os BLs
Tem histórias que tocam a gente de um jeito difícil de explicar, e Last Twilight foi exatamente isso pra mim. À primeira vista, pode parecer mais um BL com dois rapazes se aproximando aos poucos, se cuidando, se conhecendo… parece até clichê, né? Mas a verdade é que essa série vai muito além disso.O que me prendeu não foi a promessa de romance, mas a forma como tudo é construído: com delicadeza, profundidade e uma maturidade rara nesse gênero. Não tem pressa. Cada cena parece pensada pra dizer alguma coisa, sobre dor, sobre aceitação, sobre encontrar beleza nas cicatrizes.
Last Twilight não é feito pra quem só quer cenas fofinhas ou fanservice. Aqui, o roteiro mergulha de cabeça em temas difíceis: deficiência visual, autoestima, luto, solidão. E o mais bonito é que tudo isso é tratado com muito respeito. A série não usa a dor como artifício barato, mas como ponto de partida pra falar de reconstrução.
Sim, o ritmo é lento, mas não por falta de conteúdo. Pelo contrário. Cada pausa, cada silêncio, tem um peso. É como se a história pedisse que a gente desacelerasse junto com ela, pra sentir de verdade.
A química entre os protagonistas (Jimmy e Sea) é outro ponto forte. Não tem exagero, nem aquela tensão forçada que às vezes a gente vê em outros BLs. O que eles entregam é intimidade real: construída no cuidado, na escuta, no cotidiano. Dá pra sentir o respeito entre os personagens em cada gesto, em cada troca de olhar.
E não posso deixar de falar dos coadjuvantes, que, felizmente, não estão ali só pra fazer número. Cada um tem um papel claro na trama e ajuda no desenvolvimento emocional da história. É um elenco que funciona de verdade como um conjunto.
A fotografia é linda, os enquadramentos são pensados, e a trilha sonora tem um quê de melancolia que combina perfeitamente com o tom da série. Tem cenas que parecem pinturas, ou poemas visuais. Às vezes, eu pausava só pra admirar. É esse tipo de cuidado que transforma uma história simples em algo memorável.
Se você é fã de BLs mais leves, com beijo em todo episódio, muita tensão e comédia pastelona, talvez ache Last Twilight “parado” demais. Mas se você, como eu, gosta de histórias humanas, com camadas emocionais, com personagens que crescem juntos e se curam aos poucos… então prepara o coração. Essa série vai te pegar de jeito.
Last Twilight não é só mais um BL. É uma história sobre fragilidade, amor e recomeços. Uma série sensível, bonita, com muito a dizer, desde que a gente esteja disposta a escutar com calma.

A voir, absolument
Un peu déçue par les deux derniers épisodes, véritablement inférieurs au reste de la série. Celle-ci se conclut bien trop rapidement, ce qui est dommage. Et la justification de la rupture de MhokDay est bien trop faible, pour en faire autre chose qu'un ressort scénaristique. Vraiment dommage, cela a été une merveille de drama, intelligent, bien écrit, bien joué. Je suis épatée par l'évolution de JimmySea, dont l'alchimie prêtait à discussion dans Vice Versa, ne prêtait plus à discussion dans Our Skyy 2 et explose littéralement ici. MhokDay est devenu l'un de mes couples préférés. Les seconds rôles sont également parfaits avec un amour particulier, me concernant, pour le personnage de Night, joué par un Mark tout en délicatesse, qui m'a fait pleurer. Et que dire d'Aof, le réalisateur, d'ailleurs y a-t-il encore quelque chose à dire sur lui qui n'ait pas encore été dit ? La confiance de son CEO, son rôle dans le management de GMMTV, sa proximité avec les acteurs, le staff et les autres réalisateurs, son implication dans la cause LGBTQ+, et bien évidemment son talent de conteur, de metteur en scène, en font une personne rare, humainement et artistiquement. Merci Monsieur Aof pour un autre grand moment de drama BL.PS : L'OST est une merveille

Una bella serie che tratta un tema inusuale in modo ben riuscito
Una serie sicuramente singolare, per via della disabilità data dalla cecità - quasi totale - di uno dei due protagonisti. Un tema delicato che viene trattato con inaspettato rispetto, e non come elemento decorativo della storia, inserito tanto per. Nella relazione tra i due e nella relazione tra Day e tutti gli altri si percepisce il senso del limite visivo, della difficoltà che comporta al di là della mancanza di immagini, colori e autonomia. La trama è coerente, rispetta i giusti tempi, l'evoluzione tra i due protagonisti - tra i vari personaggi in generale - risulta piacevolmente credibile (cosa purtroppo non scontata, in molti altri drama). Tutto non si riconduce alla love story tra i due, ma trovano spazio anche il rapporto tra Day e il fratello, Night, che ho trovato davvero interessante; il rapporto con i genitori dei due e per Mohk il senso di perdita della famiglia, sorella maggiore compresa. C'è delicatezza, emozione, tristezza, senso di impotenza, speranza, e trovano spazio anche momenti di divertente ilarità e ironia. Un mix ben dosato, grazie anche all'espressività recitativa dei vari attori, in primis l'interprete del ruolo di Day, davvero sublime nel rivestire i panni di un ragazzo impoverente. Forse l'unica figura che mi è risultata poco empatica è la madre di Day, il suo personaggio funziona da un punto di vista logico ma trasmette davvero poco a livello emotivo. I due protagonisti li avevo già visti in un'altra serie - Vice versa - che però non mi aveva minimamente colpita e, questa, forse, è stata una fortuna, perchè un limite che credo abbiano le serie che ripropongono le stesse coppie di attori sia quelli di non riuscire a creare una netta distinzione tra la serie più amata e quelle meno riuscite (effetto che temo ad esempio dovessi ritrovare Win/Team di Hemp Rope piuttosto che Pat/Pran di Bad Buddy...pur con una storia, un contesto e dei nomi diversi continuerei ad associarli alla coppia che impersonavano nella mia serie preferita). In questo senso, il mio scarso giudizio in Vice Versa ha fatto sostanzialmente la fortuna di Last Twilight. Altra cosa che ho apprezzato, e nella quale non ci speravo: la cecità di Day caratterizza praticamente tutta la serie. Davo per scontato, e non lo dico in modo positivo, che più o meno a metà serie ricevesse il trapianto di cornea e che quindi parte della storia sfruttasse la rimozione dell'ostacolo visivo come elemento di evoluzione della narrazione. E invece no, non è stata scelta la strada più scontata e facile, forse ad effetto, ma solo nell'immediato, preferendo invece una scelta più impegnativa e coerente. Se proprio proprio devo individuare un paio di pecche...il ritmo nella seconda parte rallenta un po', l'attenzione che non mi ha fatto perdere nemmeno un secondo dei primi episodi di tanto in tanto veniva un po' meno, ma si tratta davvero di poca cosa. L'altra critica è meramente estetica e rivolta a Mhok: l'accenno di baffetti al fanciullo proprio non dona.In conclusione, una serie diversa dalle altre di cui mi sento di consigliarne la visione.
