Wholesome fluff, top-tier chemistry, and the destiny trope done right.
Let’s take a moment to appreciate the destiny trope Apple My Love gave us. Another unique GL trope in the bag. From Kris's horrendous self expression skills, the show dives into sweet, simple moments that do exactly what they’re supposed to: make you smile and feel warm.
Kris’s friends? Absolute gems. They’re supportive, adorable, and might just be the best friend group in any GL ever. And let’s give props to OrmFolk because they are straight-up masters of fluff. The sweet and flirty scenes were so good they carried the show, making the simple plot feel exciting and fun. Kris and Karn’s chemistry was top-tier in every soft moment. Even the love scenes were a pleasant surprise.
Kris’s character development was a slow burn, but it worked. You could see her putting in real effort to grow, not just for herself but for Karn too. And the guys in this show? Surprisingly great. Except for that one jerk (looking at you, Toy), the men were actually helpful and even funny, making the show even more entertaining. They represented healthy, supportive relationships which is refreshing.
At its core, this show isn’t about big, dramatic conflicts (except for the last episode). Instead, it’s about Kris and Karn facing hurdles in their relationship and helping each other grow, both as people and in their careers. The communication and understanding between them are what really stand out.
So, if you’re looking for a show with minimal drama, tons of fluff, cares about its side characters, and a genuinely healthy relationship, this is your go-to. It’s a feel-good, stress-free, easy watch that will leave you smiling.
The downside? Six episodes weren’t enough. Budget restrictions led to rushed pacing of the most interesting and lovable details in this series in the last two episodes. With more time, this could’ve been even better.
Trigger warnings: Hetero sex scenes.

OrmFolk
When I first started it I was very nervous on how it was gonna turn out but OrmFolk did justice to it and I’m proud to say that they are very good at acting 🎭. The story going from them not really knowing each other then their friendship developed and then it goes to a relationship, it’s such a cool story for people to relate too. I will forever love this Thai GL. Thank you OrmFolk for bringing Kris and Karn to life. Wish there was more episodes though 😭😭😭. But it ended so well. From: Apple

Were they trying to set a record, perhaps?
Let’s address the elephant in the room: the utterly mind-boggling 10-minute-plus makeout scene. It must be seen to be believed. What went on in the production meeting that allowed this to happen? Who in their right mind thought this was a good idea? You keep expecting it to, y’know, escalate, in some way, since all signs indicate that they are supposed to be having sex, except they are forbidden by the channel from from removing any clothing (or doing anything beyond kissing and breathing heavily), so it just keeps going, and going, while the same song loops approximately seventy-five times. It’s like being trapped in lesbian purgatory. Did they not want to waste any footage? Was the editor on holiday? The whole episode is only 39 minutes long—it is literally ONE THIRD of the episode!! I could not stop laughing. Truly one of the scenes of all time.Anyway, Apple My Love is a cute little series. It is a Chao Planoy adaptation, so the plot is not exactly Shakespeare, and it’s fairly short, but it uses its limited time wisely (apart from that, uh, anomaly) and finds a comfortable groove as a sweet fluffy romcom. It’s less good the more serious it gets—the conflict between Kris and Karn at the end kind of sucks, and is way more dramatic than it needs to be. But when it’s focused on speedrunning every GL trope, Apple is lots of fun. It even manages to have good side characters (Kris’s friends <3), which many longer series fail to do, and squeezes in a little classic side couple angst along the way. Bonus points for having a theme song that feels like a hit of pure dopamine and nicely designed opening credits, which many big-budget series can’t claim (I’m looking at you, Pluto).
Orm and Folk deserve special mention for their chemistry as Kris and Karn. A show with so little substance really depends on the main couple and whether we want to see them flirt with each other or not. Thankfully they have the secret ingredient and are a delight to watch. Knowing the long journey they took to star in this series (both were attached to a previous GL project which got canceled), it makes me happy that when they took a chance on this smaller project their dedication paid off, and that they’ll be starring in another series together in the future. I only hope they’re never forced to simulate bizarre fully-clothed sex for fifteen minutes ever again.

Abt the story, It's a very cute series. I loved every episode. The Top is so cold and stupid to close with karn. I really laughed alot at her. I mean, her behaviour was really soo cute and warming. Bedsides, I love when they were together. They're kinda bold and it was
embarrassing me alot, lol..
And honestly, I loved the friendship goal. They're so supportive to each other, they're hard workers and very loving. I felt a quit sad for jealousy 😅.
The OST was damn great. I loved the music alot lately. Besides, Their acting was awesome. But honestly I love them in real for more.
I can't expose I much I loved this series. I still feel soo warm whenever i remember this series. I already said I've rewatch it for a billion but still not enough. I loved " The secret of us, Apple, Ayaka is in love with hiroko. " I have watched million series but only them has taken my heart. I really loved this series. No matter what people say, I love this series. But It's a matter of regret that "Apple" is underrated. But to me It's my favorite.
I love this series. ❤️❤️

Why ONLY 6?
This show is incredible. Orm and Folk are so good- their chemistry is effortless and amazing and they just flow together. It’s pure joy to watch. I also like how undramatic and natural it is compared to other GLs. Only 2 episode in- I’m loving it. I just wish there more than 6. Good series that have so much potential should be longer! Was this review helpful to you?
Sweet
I loved everything about this sweet drama. Watching Folk cry so desperately was truly heartbreaking and showcased incredible emotional depth. Both lead actresses were wonderful, with great chemistry that made their bond feel genuine. I hope to see them work together again in the future. The entire cast was talented and brought charm and authenticity to their roles. The last episode was especially heartwarming; I’ve rewatched it many times and still find it moving every single time. It left a lasting impression and wrapped up the story beautifully. Great job to everyone involved in this touching production! Was this review helpful to you?

6 episodes won't do this series justice
Chao Planoy is known for creating nuanced GL stories that explore intense relationships, emotional complexity, and sometimes introducing idiotic guy characters - so I don't know what else to expect from the author. Although this novel was quite cute and tolerable (except for that Toy part, he was such a creep), this is how I felt after reading Mate (this one is purely messy LOL).Anyways, the casting is great, leads have great chemistry so far and the sequence is okay with me, however, I don't know how they will cover everything in just 6 episodes. I don't like dragging story to 12 eps but this one deserves at least 8. The novel had some interesting twists and turns, I hope they don't miss the important ones otherwise the fun is gone. Kris is like Ongsa from 23.5 prolly Ongsa 2.0, Karn is a bit jealous type, you'll see once the story moves forward, but together they look adorable. Kris's brother is good too. Let's see how the adaptation handles all those specific details from novel, so best wishes to this show.
This series airs right after 'Pluto', and it feels like a dessert after the main course. Pluto moves at a steady pace, without too many romantic or intimate scenes—then Apple comes along like, 'Hold my beer; I’ll take it from here!' I’ve watched the first four episodes so far and had such a great time—lots of laughs and an incredible OST to enjoy. Since the novel has a happy ending, I’m really hoping the drama will follow suit!
