The plot is truly impressive, with everything meticulously planned. The actors deliver outstanding performances, bringing the story to life with such depth and emotion. The flow of the plot is seamless, and the cleverly placed hidden details for the next episode always leave you eagerly anticipating what’s next. It’s an absolute must-watch! This drama deserves all the praise, and hopefully, it gets the recognition and awards it truly deserves. This drama was so incredible that I even went ahead and subscribed to WeTV just to watch it! Highly recommended drama!

I went for this drama as I am WZQ fan but so impressed with all the actings ! They are so excellent for their roles! From the main to supporting all played their characters so well that amazes me so much because most of them so unfamiliar for me. Bravo to the casting team ! *clapclapclap*

Besides the actings , I also love with the cinemography, the colors, the settings and the musics!!! They even created fictional country with fake language and currency to show how delicate they are with the production of the drama!

This is such a rare cdrama! Everyone should give it a try! Totally recommended for those who love thriller suspense drama and those who love mindblowing storyline! You will not regret ~ It's worth the try!

Ashes never rekindle but Embers can ......

Woahhhh......That was a hell of a ride . An amazing thriller drama . It's been such a long time since I've watched such a good thriller drama. The characters were perfect for their roles. Everyone of them executed their roles perfectly. Im a fan of WZQ and I've recently seen sunny sun in begin again and I've had my eye on him since then. I don't know why I haven't seen him before. Amazing actor .

Even though ZB did use many victims to his own personal gain , i get why he did that. Imagine getting killed and your identity wiped out in just a day but you're still alive and have nowhere to go and on top of that even your family is dead . He only had his friends to trust and rely on , that part of the story just broke me off. The six friends who were at their happiest times of their life and in an instant it was ruined. I think he is a gear example of " sometimes in the pursuit of the truth , you yourself become a monster " . I was devastated when he was dead again . I just couldn't stop crying for the last 4 eps . Don't mind me I'm just gonna be obsessing over him for a quite a bit of time from now on.

The part where it broke me the most was when SY was carrying ZB on a motorcycle to place him in the gift box . I just couldn't attend that point , it was soo painful to watch . And Wang Ziqi's acting really stood out at that point .

Overall an amazing drama that would top my list of 2025 .

Twisty, Clever, ,Sympathetic & Passionate Story Telling

I don't often rate series above an 8/10, but this show is an amazing 9.5/10. This is one of the pieces of fiction where you can tell that the creators truly cared for their work. This series shows passion, hard work, intense effort, and care and sympathy for people with all of it's nuance with each victim and perpetrator.

This show is simply amazing. This is one of the most well written crime series I've ever watched. The series starts with a twist in the first episode and continues with twists and turns within each character and case. But these twists aren't complicated or convoluted, they're so cleverly detailed and well written that they make so much sense and wow you as you learn each one. These twists serve a purpose to add layers to each victim and perpetrators story. These twists also allow you to gain sympathy not only for the victims, but for the perpetrators in some of these cases. The cases aren't black and white, everything is gray. These cases that the ML investigates leads to the connecting case which deals with the ML's childhood trauma where his family died in a fire. Typically the final case or the connecting case tends to feel empty by the end, but the writers maintain the twists and complexities, adding layer upon layer all the way to the end. I've watched hundreds of crime series/movies/books, but never have I been surprised so much. The twists are soo good.

The tone of the show changes often. The 28 episodes didn't drag on as the genre of crime and overall tone continued to become more and more interesting. The show starts seemingly simple, but adds more and more complexities as the story goes on. My favorite out of the cases dealt with Nu Na, it is one of the most intriguing cases in fiction I've come across.
It was extremely fascinating how the series dealt with trauma as well. The ML doesn't experience something horrific then turn out perfectly fine. We get to see how his trauma affects him, alters his perception on life, and how he faces the cases and characters in the show. We get to watch him face his physical and inner demons. The psychological aspects were extremely fascinating with each character as well.

I especially loved the casting for Zhu He and found his stage presence to be perfect for his role. Siyuan felt like an odd choice in the beginning, but I eventually really enjoyed his acting.

So the reasons why you should watch this amazing series:
-Complex ML
-Tone changes that keep you interested
-Interesting psychological concepts
-Well written and complex cases
-Clever twists
-Passionately made by it's creators

The only reasons as to why the show doesn't get a solid 10 from me is because
-why do the cops let a college student investigate/see classified information at the police station
-how does the ML manage to balance school and all the cases?/ we only see him go to school in the first few eps
-the ML's empty friends who he only recently met that suddenly become ride or die besties
-I feel like there could have been just a little bit more to the ending

Good action and surprised ending for this crime drama, but the pace was draggy and repetitive.

The Embers is a police crime investigation drama based in Thailand about a younger brother who has PTSD about his brother's death. Through the deceased brother, he solved the case with the help of the police and his brother's fiancee.

There is a lot of action, but the pace is slow and draggy. Many small stories eventually link to the main story, some of which could easily be eliminated. I found it repetitive and draggy. I skipped and walked away to bypass the middle episodes. The last two episodes were more interesting, where the killer was his adopted mother.

No romance whatsoever if you are looking for romance.

Synopsis: A tragic massacre in their childhood completely changed the fate of the Liao brothers. Will they break through the darkness for self-redemption or descend into the abyss of vengeance? Once inseparable and solving countless mysterious cases, the two brothers now stand on opposite sides.

Um drama que conta com a presença de Sun Yi, Liu Min Tao (que já contracenaram, divinamente, em Because of meeting you, 2017), e Wang Zi Qi (que apresenta atuações consistentes em seus trabalhos), já tinha toda minha atenção, mas não apenas eles, os demais atores (alguns que eu não conhecia o trabalho), entregaram atuações muito boas.
O roteiro é "pesado". Não são somente investigações sobre crimes, mas o desmantelamento de crimes utilizando-se de crimes meticulosamente planejados para despir o verdadeiro criminoso. É um bom suspense, mas se prestar atenção em alguns detalhes, dá pra adivinhar quem é o grande criminoso antes do décimo capítulo.
O tipo de edição, alternando passado e presente, apesar de em alguns momentos parecer cansativo, são as peças para montar o quebra-cabeça. Não possui muitas cenas de ação, o uso da inteligência é o fator predominante do drama. A finalização faz jus, um suspense que determina em suspense.
