Always a dumb ending

I series has been good til the last 7 or 8 episodes just like all the other drama shows the bad guy kills all these people and then he gets saved by the main actor and he get away with it . He should have gotten killed just like the other bad guys. All the characters in these dramas never die that’s another gay ass show too the authors think there being great but it’s getting annoying just watching the same characters fight thru the whole movie and no one die stupid stupid stupid drama

Visually stunning with an engaging plot

From all yhe episodes out so far it is a 10/10!! it’s so different to normal Xian xia or wuxia drama. I can’t figure out TLC powers , he seems to know everything. And loving the leaks to his past !! the drama is visually stunning ! My fav fight seen is still ep2 between TLC and LY, no one does better blood spits than LYX. The OST and bmg is also stunning esp the opening theme, it’s constantly playing in the background especially when the gang sets off to another adventure!
more to come !!

Visual feast

7 episodes in and I’m totally invested in this drama. Love that romance is not the driving factor. Acting is on point and there are still many characters to meet and fully understand. Can’t wait for more episodes. I really recommend this one if you are looking for something a little different while remaining in Asian fantasy.

Whisper of Fate, A new masterpiece by Luo Yunxi

I was waiting for Whispers of Fate like water in the desert. I was sure that I would like it, and after 8 episodes, I can say that it has exceeded all my expectations!
From the very first episode, I was captivated by the story and its protagonists! Luo Yunxi needs no introduction... every work of his is GOLD! He is an exceptional artist, and in Whispers of Fate, he is once again demonstrating his infinite acting capabilities!
I recommend Whispers of Fate to everyone!

The storyline

There are a lot of known actors I'll give it that. First impression is I don't know if i care for the story line. I'm at episode 15 so far and its kinda repetitive. Female in red dress won't go away and she's annoying. Everyone regardless of what Tang (ML) does the general population only believes the psychopaths when they said he's evil but yet he has not actually done anything evil. 🤔 Make it make sense. AND Tang tried to explained what happen to his master but again fueled by hatred and his own perception A'li won't listen. This show compared some of the other's that came out around the same time is a bit lacking. So far each episode just keeps being the same problem just different scenery. Not sure if I'm going to finish it. I will say however, people are hating on the FL. I don't see why. She's better than some I've seen. No complaints on acting for anyone they're all pretty awesome. I'll let you know if i finish the show but as of now I'm bored with it.

Whisper of Dissapointment

Were they trying to recreate "Till the End of the Moon" or am I too obsessed by Luo Yun Xi aura? I watched
everything until episode 10 and then i had to drop it because of pure boredom. What makes this drama slightly different from all others are the overexaggerated costumes and dramatic accessories which feminize the male characters to extends I haven't seen so far. The first 10 episodes I forced myself to watch look like a bad fantasy dream now. I also couldn't sing a single tune, usually I am used to hear really great music in Chinese dramas.

A subjective review, it doesn’t mean that you’ll feel like this, too.

I was scrolling in iqiyi and saw it was trending so, I had to glimpse at it at 1:00 am —testing the waters if I’ll continue watching it later that day.

Yes, I resumed watching it because I was hook by the chemistry of Chi Yun and Tang Li Ci +++ there’s a female swordsman (because lately, I AM OBSESSED WITH STRONG FEMALE LEADS ✨) —and disappointed when Zhong Chun Ji wasn’t the female lead 🥹

I don’t know if it’s just me but the chemistry is lacking between Li Ci and A’Shui but don’t get me wrong, their acting is great but the chemistry wasn’t giving —I just noticed that they’re the couple because of the background music playing when they’re both in the scene together like 😭 (& can’t helped it, I watched some tt edits, too)

All the actors are great but maybe the story didn’t gave enough of something since this was the comeback of the famous wuxia actor, Leo and maybe the expectations were too high that’s why I expected too much too.

One thing that I will commend in this drama is the CGIs because it was spectacular!!!

The story sequence? I don’t know how to call it but I think it can be better —it was like one scene to another (yes, its usually like that I know), what I mean is the cutting transition (?) of scenes doesn’t mesh but mess with it.

Overall, I will still continue to watch since the actors are great —they did well portraying their character and that’s a huge thing for me when watching a drama.

EDIT: I dropped this, I'm sorry 🥲

Whispers of Fate: The Chosen to Wander

🔹 What would you do if the only way to survive in your world was to live as someone you're not?
🔹 Would I rewatch? Yes, for the visuals, music, and Luo Yunxi’s performance.
✨ This is the kind of drama that pulls you in and makes you rethink what “wuxia” can look and feel like.

📕 Overview
🔹 40 episodes, wuxia + fantasy
🔹 Adapted from the novel 千劫眉 by Teng Ping
🔹 Luo Yunxi portrays Tang Lici, a hero wrapped in mystery. Beneath his calm exterior lies a world of hidden secrets, waiting to be revealed.
🔹 Xiao Shunyao as Shen Langhun: a swordsman marked by loss, whose loyalty made me root for him right away.
🔹 The story begins when Tang Lici is betrayed and forced into hiding, suspected of a crime he didn’t commit
🔹 At the time of this review, 3 episodes have aired

🌸 How It Felt Watching
🔹 The opening scene, Tang Lici alone in the mist, barely breathing, sets the tone: beautiful, lonesome, and powerful.
🔹 The bamboo forest duel is outstanding: swirling leaves, the sound of a zither, each movement like brush strokes. Luo Yunxi’s stillness makes it unforgettable.
🔹 Vivid landscapes, OST, and tension carry the story into its betrayals.
🔹 Viewing feel: cinematic, tense, atmospheric, and emotionally rich
🔹 Themes: identity, sacrifice, justice, destiny, and moral dilemmas

✨ Cast & Acting
🔹 Luo Yunxi adeptly embodies Tang Lici, portraying his inner conflict with a mix of dignity and vulnerability. His performance conveys deep emotional struggle, giving even the smallest moments significant impact, often without words.
🔹The depth in his eyes captivates me every time.
🔹I loved his ombre hair; it's a subtle but striking detail
🔹Xiao Shunyao plays Shen Langhun, a loyal and genuine character you can rely on in tough times. His friendship with Tang Lici feels honest and well-earned.
🔹 Supporting cast: Ao Ziyi’s Chi Yun lights up the screen with charm and defiance, while Lin Yun and Chen Yao make a strong impact with memorable appearances. Every side character feels carefully cast and essential to the layered world.

🎶 OST 🎶
🔹 "No Spring Breeze No Meeting You" by Jane Zhang & Liu Yu Ning
🔹 "Always" by Luo Yunxi
🔹 "Ballad to the Breeze" by Shin

🎞️ Production Style
Each on-screen location draws you into a new world, alive with its unique personality and mood.
🔹Cinematography: travel shots connect locations to character movements, making journeys feel like integral story beats rather than detours.
🔹The bamboo forests feel eerie. Night markets glow with vibrant colors, while deserts and courtyards appear lived-in.
🔹Wardrobe is like a visual shortcut: Tang Lici’s flowing robes, Chi Yun’s signature gear, and every villain’s armor instantly tell you about the character wearing them.
🔹The special effects add a vibrant, enchanting quality to each action scene, enhancing motion without ever overwhelming the viewer.
🔹The martial arts sequences skillfully integrate wirework with grounded movements, transforming each duel into a significant exchange that enhances the story.
🔹The story moves quickly and covers a lot, but it remains engaging. Paying close attention is worthwhile for its depth.

☕ Tea Notes
🔹 What worked well: a beautifully crafted world, standout performances from the actors, and the OST.

What Didn’t Work
🔹 The opening exposition is dense, so newcomers to wuxia may need patience.
🔹 The music mix sometimes overpowers the dialogue.

Note for Wuxia Newcomers
🔹 “Wuxia” is a genre of Chinese martial-hero fiction centered on honor, brotherhood, and morally tested fighters in a stylized historical setting.
🔹 It often features wirework, mystical elements, and codes of loyalty that drive character choices.

🔹 Would I Rewatch? Yes, especially for the fight choreography and martial arts sequences.

🌟 10/10

So far, so good! Will definitely stay tuned for more.

Whispers of Fate was dropped today and my friend and I immediately jumped onto it after tracking news about it for a long time! We love anything Luo Yunxi usually, so we were so down for this. So far, we are not disappointed.

The plot is incredibly intriguing, but also surprising in some areas. My friend and I are usually very good at calling certain twists and pointing out inconsistencies in the plot, but this show has surprised us many times. There are parts in the first few episodes where we we've called it out for not making any sense, or some of the characters' actions being weird, only for the detective character in it to call it out as well. The inconsistencies are on purpose and it gives the audience a sense of being a part of the mystery, like we are the detectives as well. It's very, very cool.

The central characters are great so far. Tang Li Ci is a perfect blend of serious, mysterious, and stoic, but with a playful energy that allows Luo Yunxi to dip into his comedic side a bit. Zhong Chun Ji is a fantastic female character. There's a trope in so many of these shows where the main girl takes forever to figure out someone is corrupt or sus because she's close to that character, but she sees this character do wrong ONCE and figures him out. It was so refreshing to see, and she is consistently clever with her own strengths and endearments. I specifically like her with Miss Shei. They're a sweet duo. Miss Shei is intriguing as well. We haven't fully figured out her character arc yet, but she's already got a voice of her own, which is fantastic. Chi Yun is adorable and, again, comes across as the naive, silly comedic relief, but there's already hints of more to him.

The fighting scenes are, of course, incredible to watch. 8 Stars for plot right now because the exposition at the beginning was tough to follow and got a little confusing, but I assume that's because it's all going to be revealed later on.

The entire show so far is visually stunning. I am so excited to keep watching this show.

Years of Waiting, is it worth it?

Well, one thing for sire us that after TILL THE END OF THE MOON this drama was in list as N01. Even at Some point i decided to Quit watching drama but i kept this one in my plan. Just for the Synopsis I've read. Now that It's airing there is only one thing is that Sword and Beloved is also releasing which is kinda like, two big Shots Clash😕 whatever now i'm watching this and wondering everything feels good. Except CGI in few scene. Like there is a scene whare Shen Long han sits in a different Boat and with his technique he vanishes but, the boat then feels like a photo 😏 just put there and done 😐 well only thes boat scenes are creepy other then that, everything seams good. And Let's see, after finishing this one there maybe a change in this review.

Also I Don't feel romance which is great for me. And this is one of the reason i love this series.

The Art of Looking Boring: One Stare at a Time

The only thing that seems to be moving in Whispers of Fate is the camera. The male lead stares more than he speaks, cycling through the same handful of expressions he’s perfected in every role. The plot? Confusing. The dialogue? Hollow. The visuals? Not even impressive. And the overly loud music? A perfect way to remind you that nothing else is happening.
Characters are lifeless, and Luo Yunxi, elegant as he may be, looks far too frail to carry the heroic aura his role demands.
Everything feels stiff, distant, and utterly boring. I struggled through the first five episodes and finally gave up — even finishing episode one felt like a personal achievement.

I started the series with love and desire. However, I couldn't finish it. I couldn't watch it after the fourth episode. I was bored. There was a slowness in the series, but everything felt rushed. It didn't feel like a solid series to me. The words come out very slowly. The slow pace, long answers, drawn-out movements, you waste time trying to figure out what's happening. There's too much stagnation.
They've also dressed Luo Yun Xi in layers. They expect her to move with those layers of clothing. It doesn't work. You're supposed to think those layers of clothing open, spill out, and become weapons. But in reality, they actually hinder her. No one can do those moves in that dress. She can't jump, turn left and right, swing a sword, or kick. With all due respect, it's just not working. I don't understand what kind of plot or idea this is. It's a shame for the actors. It felt like they couldn't do a proper job with all those good actors. I couldn't get into the plot. I didn't like it. I don't want to disturb the viewers.
