Completely broke me
Watched this and I have cried enough for a year. Such a beautiful story and the actors' acting were so top notch the sadness in there eyes. The cinematography of the movie was very warm and emotional. As someone who is interested in art I could relate to the way they connected through art. It was so heartwarming to see them forming connections. If you need a sad movie to cry your eyes out this is a must. Was this review helpful to you?
A Beautifully Shot Romantic Journey.
The story is a bit cliché with many predictable romantic elements. It’s similar to animes like I Want to Eat Your Pancreas and reminded me of Anohana and other slow-burn series. While it shares similarities with other shows, it introduces enough unique elements to feel fresh and enjoyable . The acting is excellent, and the cinematography is beautifully shot, with a memorable main cast. It also strongly supports a theme with a positive message that I thought was delivered excellently. Was this review helpful to you?
You know how it ends but it's still amazing.
The synopsis gives you most of the details. You go in knowing it's going to be sad. You prepare yourself. But they have little moments where it's funny and you see the growth of the 2 leads. You see the fondness they develop for each other. It makes your heart warm and you forget there's going to be a break in your heart. It's beautifully written. The acting was a 10. What I recommend is you have tissue ready and if you have a significant other, watch it with them. Hugs help.

as someone who has seen this plot done a million times, the effects it should have becomes, dulllike any sob story, it's basically the same, and even as an artist, their focus on that didn't add any magical touches

Tbh instead of all those “plot twists” they should’ve been honest and lived /loved to the fullest
Not being honest with her put a toll on him, and not being able to be honest with him left her at arms length, so instead of enjoying their last days together, they put a wall around themselves and lived a lonely time

MAJOR SPOILERS AHEAD. YOUVE BEEN WARNED
Every single second of this movie was worth it. Two pure souls who do everything in their power to help each other navigate through and endure the pain that life throws at them.Hayasaka's selfless act of hiding his own pain so that he could help the girl who he just met. This shows how pure and innocent he was. He was because he was going to die soon, about to commit suicide, but seeing Sakura looking forward to "going to heaven" he made up his mind to make sure that the time that she has left on this earth, she cherishes it.. And his determination and devotion paid off Sakura did say "earlier, i wanted to die as soon as possible, but now i want to live. Even a day, a minute, a second longer is enough. But I WANT TO LIVE" shit this had my heart.
The way Sakura knew that Hayasake too is on the verge of death, he is scared of death, yet he is devoting the little time he has left to her was everything. The way Sakura helped him even after she herself died was everything.
I ABSOLUTELY LOVED the parallels(?) shown before and after Sakura's death. I am talking about how when Sakura was in the hospital, Hayasaka visited her and brought flowers and then Amy (SakurAI's friend) did the same when Hayasaka was in the hospital (after Sakura's death)... I honestly thought the drawing book scene was the end.. meaning Sakura's "after death" message to Hayasaka was over and now we would see Hayasaka living the best life the way Sakura wanted him to(which he did)...but no there was more and it was fucking beautiful. The INSTAGRAM POST, IT was literally everything it showed how hella much Sakura loved hayasaka. It showed hoe Hayasaka made her life do a complete 360 (from wanting to go to heaven to wanting to live ) that instagram post literally made me cry like shit.,
And i CANNOT talk enough about the Gerbera thing... 6 gerberas 3 gerberas omg both of them loved each other so much..They completely altered each other's life in the little time they had together....ohh and i guess Amy also fell for Hayasaka considering she painted 3 gerbaras on his nails but well Hayasaka never knew it because he thought she just drew those gerberas without knowing the meaning behind it (as he mentioned in his instagram post)...Oh and the ending told through Amy's pov was also really meaningful.....
wahhhhhh i really loved this movie PS im bad with names dont mind me..heheh

What a bittersweet romance.
I've seen it three times now, and every time I shed more tears each scenes. J-trauma is real, when I first watch this I didn't expect the outcome of them dying. Even the second time, I can't accept that they didn't express through words their feeling but knowing the actions Akito did really make Haruna happy.I won't watch it again. I am just sad.

Best movie out there.
I've watched PLENTY of J-sad movies but this one HITS different. The story, the way it unfolds the way it seems to flow and something about the character's eyes convey the emotions SO well. This is the only movie I have downloaded in my entire life just because of how much I love re-watching it. It doesn't get better than this for someone who's a sucker for artistic expression and sad stories. Highly recommend it!!!!Was this review helpful to you?

you will need many tissues
I just finished watching it, and it was really a cruel movie, haha. First of all, the FL was very beautiful, and her acting was more realistic compared to the usual girls in Japanese films. The ML was also very sweet, but the reason I gave a lower score for the acting was because of the ML's poor performance in the crying scenes. I really liked that they included small details in the film without skipping over them, like the sea scene, the number and meanings of the flowers, the final state of Akito's drawing, and its display in the exhibition. I loved the colors and aesthetics of the film; despite being a very sad movie, it was always colorful and lively, which I really enjoyed. The music was also nice. But I don't think it's a movie to watch over and over again; it's one to watch once and stay affected by for a long time. Overall, I really liked it.Was this review helpful to you?
You'll cry
This movie was so emotional and heart touching. I've never watched something that made me see something different in life. The emotions and actions that carried within this movie was so good. This movie is very special.A poem I made for this movie.
In a hospital where dreams reside,
Two artists' paths began to glide.
Through sketches soft and colors bold,
A love story started to unfold.
Challenges came, as shadows cast,
But through their art, they held steadfast.
With every stroke, they mended pain,
In each other's hearts, they'd remain.
The final piece, a masterpiece,
Their love immortalized in peace.
Drawing closer, hand in hand,
They found their place, a promised land.

Another JTrauma
There is a specific category of Japanese anime and movies that are called Jtrauma, because of how traumatic they are. They often have really touching relationships and romantic love stories that make you giggle and blush, and then when you least expect it, they are going to hit you with one of the characters dying. It's gonna come in such an unexpected way that it’s gonna hurt like a punch in the stomach. And this movie belongs right to that category. So this is my warning in case you don't want to cry, but if you are crazy just like many of us, this was a great movie. The story is so sad but a great experience. Dayum, I thought I got used to these Jtrauma after watching so many movies like this, but it seems like I still have not built enough tolerance 'cause I was sobbing the whole time.
Another aspect I enjoyed was the cinematography and the use of light. The contrast between the couple and the world outside was fascinating. The room seemed much darker, almost foreshadowing the tragic ending, while the light coming from outside was soft, bright, and full of hope. This contrast intensified the emotional impact of the story. I did find it a bit annoying how high the brightness was compared to the darkness, as I had to constantly adjust the brightness on my screen. Still, it was a clever choice to emphasize the difference between life and death.
Definetly a great movie and worth watching.
