Quiznos
Kim Shin Rock absolutely stole every single moment she appeared in throughout the show. Whenever she was on screen, I could not pull my eyes away. Her intensity was electrifying, and the way she played off the hero made every interaction feel charged with energy and weight. By the end, I realized I was actually rooting for her instead of the lead, which caught me by surprise. I enjoyed the entire experience far more than I expected. Oddly enough, now I have this sudden craving for Quiznos. Was this review helpful to you?
Seo Kang Joon finally puts his good acting to use!
seo kang joon returns to the little screen with a bang! and what a comeback!this drama started good and ended up great. it’s not life changing nor will it blow your mind, but it’s the perfect pick me up if you’re in the mood for some genre mixing feel good drama. it doesn’t take itself too seriously, but it’s propelled by strong performances, a fun soundtrack and great action scenes. the plot is actually super well thought out and unique, in a way.
i loved this! definitely recommend if only to see seo kang joon return in a (finally!!!!) good drama. please keep it coming kang joon-ah, we need to see your hazel eyes and great acting way more than we currently do.

A Good Treasure Finding Tale
Just a good old fashioned treasure finding story. A mystery abounds in trying to use clues to find the treasure. Along the way the ML falls in love with a helpful (and smart) damsel. There are plenty of bad guys and one sinister femme fatale who put kinks into the treasure hunting. There are twists and turns, a mystery to solve, teenage drama, overly comedic scenes, and plenty to keep you tuned in. This is good 'ol Kdrama at its finest.Loved the actors!! The casting director really got the right actor in the right part. It is just entertainment in its purest sense. This reminds me of one of the first Kdramas I watched, and why I got hooked on Kdramas in the first place. Try it. I guarantee you'll enjoy it if you are just looking to be entertained.

A Gripping Blend of Action, Emotion, and Social Commentary
The drama's centered around Jeong Hae Seong, an NIS agent who goes undercover at an elite high school to track down a hidden national treasure. It has a mix of suspense, emotional storytelling, and strong social themes that kept me hooked from start to finish. What I Liked:
1. Strong, Multi-Layered Characters
Jeong Hae Seong is such a compelling lead. He’s not just an action hero. He’s vulnerable, haunted by his own past with school bullying, and constantly evolving. His relationship with Oh Su A, a teacher having it rough at workplace too, adds an emotional heartbeat to the story. Their slow-burn relationship was great.
2. A Well-Woven Plot with Unique Twists
The whole treasure hunt tied into ghost stories was so clever. The mystery is built up with care, and each episode drops just enough clues and twists to keep you engaged.
3. Thoughtful Social Commentary
This isn’t just a spy-thriller. The drama digs into the toxic school hierarchy, bullying, and corruption, all rooted in real social structures. It doesn’t sugarcoat things.
4. A Solid Supporting Cast
Everyone added depth and complexity to the story.
What Could’ve Been Better:
1. Too Many Tropes
Just way too many tropes.
2. Character Choices
Hae Seong and Director Kim (not together) both made decisions at some point which threw me off. It wasn’t a dealbreaker, but it did pull me out of the story now and then.
3. Romance Left Me Wanting More
There was definitely chemistry between Hae Seong and Su A, but the romantic payoff felt a little rushed. A few more meaningful scenes could’ve made it even more satisfying. Hey, I'm not mad at it but if you were looking for an intense romance tied into the plot, this isn't it.
There were other things to play on our emotions with. It has a gripping plot, and real-world themes. While not perfect, it’s a powerful story that’s both entertaining and thought-provoking. If you're into dramas with action, mystery, and meaningful character growth, this one’s definitely worth your time.
Would I recommend it?
Yes, especially if you love undercover plots with heart and a touch of romance.

Strongest as a mystery thriller treasure hunt. Unbearable as a Romcom
None of the promo materials that I saw indicated this was a treasure hunt, which makes it so much more interesting that the undercover highschooler teacher romance, which is as creepy as it sounds whenever the story dipped into that plot line that also grinds the pacing to a halt. It is the worst part of the show which unfortunately means more often than not the female lead who is the teacher in the equation is the worst part. She is a terrible teacher not noticing the actual bullying occurring in her classroom while being extremely violent with the male lead who she thinks is a teenager and violating boundaries by showing up at his house on short notice. Once she learns he's NIH undercover, both of their brains go out the window. They are always out drinking together or touching hands, they are just courting a student teacher scandal. The treasure hunt however is quite interesting, I really enjoy the clues being hidden in tales of ghostly hauntings that also mirror the real life school bullying of Hae Jeong and his classmates. The villain of the treasure hunt storyline is amazing. She is both cunning and unsettling that other kdrama villains think they are. The way she picks apart her daughter's self esteem, what she does with a steak knife to her own wrist in front of her daughter who freaked out at the photoshoot refusing to expose her scarred wrists, what she quotes about a slavery era book. Her daughter being cruel to Hae Seong's sister who just accepts it in order to be kind to the girl she saw with the scarred wrists. Later when she beats up a kid in the rest room who badmouthed her daughter in front of her and she chastises him to watch his mouth around elders while banging her own head on the mirror is so unhinged.
The romance is so forced, the drama would have been stronger without it. The secondary romance was also terrible and never funny even though it was supposed to be comic relief moments. The spy versus mastermind dynamic between Hae Jeong and Myeong Ju is so much more electric to see . I don't know if it's because I just didn't catch it, but I didn't see any specific branding on the sandwich shop until ep 4, which is a funny mini background mystery until it's revealed to be Qiuznos. The end where Hae Jeong points a gun at Myeong Ju only to hand it over to the same woman clearly having a dangerous mental health episode where she's already threatening the entire class of kids with oil and fire, was ridiculous. He's otherwise smart enough most of the time. I like that he clocked the principal truly caring about Myeong Ju and Ye Na and urged him not to enable her anymore.
The treasure hunt ending in Hae Jeong getting closure in finding out what happened to his father is meaningful. It's lovely that the cute little star motif between him and his father leads him to the gold his dad hid. All of his classmates showing up at his father's funeral was sweet. He got to remake his high school experience that was so terrible he got a GED instead the first time. His adopted father and son relationship with his uncle is also really sweet. I loved the moment he supported his decision to quit high school and was the one suggesting the GED. His annoyance at the thought that his adopted sister Yu Jeong may become his colleague is funny because he was colleagues with his adopted dad. Though there were still elements that I enjoyed, the momentum of the mystery and the pacing of the story really fell apart towards the end. It might have been a tighter with a few episodes less.

So much to enjoy in the dramedy
SPOILERS!!!!!I'll start by saying that I think you have to leave your expectations as the door. This isn't Shakespeare. The plot sometimes has holes so big you could drive a bus through them. But, even with that, I really enjoyed this one, for numerous reasons:
1) Seo Kang Jun - I find him very attractive, and not in a "pretty" way, if that makes sense. His intermittent smiles were wonderful. The last scene in the last episode - gold! When he gets emotional, it's very well restrained and not over the top. My heart broke when he found his father.
Also, I love how they included his father and that he had conversations with him. That was a chapter for him that wasn't closed yet.
2) Jin Ki Joo - She is fascinating to me. She has a different look about her and I find her beautiful. She always portrays characters that you want to be friends with. I wish they would have delved deeper into a back story for her.
3) The comedy was comedy-ing! There were so many laugh out loud moments, and I was impressed by Seo Kang Jun's comedic timing.
4) At the beginning, I was afraid I wasn't going to be able to stick with it because of the bullying (of students AND teachers), but I LOVED how he developed friendships with the other students. When he went to say goodbye to the students and was leaving the building, the paper airplanes made me cry.
5) The ML and FL were cute together, but the romance was definitely secondary. I loved watching them together.
6) Happy ending, though a five-year time jump seemed excessive.
7) Finally, Kim Shin Rok. Wow!! Watching her progress from a run-of-the-mill baddie to seriously unhinged was so compelling to watch. Does she always play a villain? I'm going to have to check out her filmography.

Really fun kdrama about deep subjects
It is a kdrama for young at heart, since the place of the drama is a school, a lot of it is told from the students' perspective, and FL is a very ... naive teacher LOLThe ML actor is fantastic, he was soooo fun. His costuming was superb, the funky uncombed hair and open necktie LOL He was sooo fun to watch.
the issues presented were deep issues though, and involved corporate crime, school bullying, privileged elites, bad greedy parenting, as@ kissing to climb social hiararchy, the hierarchy itself and how even the kids participated in that willingly.
it really is a drama about intentionally creating and maintaining elites. A super deep subject camouflaged under school myths and gossips...
And the underlying story of ML's parents and what it means to be a secret agent, and a little historical lesson on Japanese occupation, etc
WHY was the drama taken off Viki and other places so fast after it finished airing?
Where is the ML actor now, he is really a fun actor, and I didnt see him since this drama. We miss him :) Come back soon

It’s been a while
It’s been a while since I’ve seen an “old school” K-Drama, at least for my liking. I needed an entertaining, unrealistic, wholesome but well executed drama. I’ve been having some troubles to find a K-Drama with this perfect formula of fun, lighthearted and a well written story despite being just 12 episodes. Most of shorter dramas nowadays tend to be mediocre cause they can’t build nor the plot nor the characters. This one was the perfect example of a well done story in just 12 episode: it doesn’t have plot holes, they closed the series and all the characters’ arcs in a good way, without leaving you with unanswered questions, it didn’t waste precious time screen on useless scenes… This is what I want from a drama of this genre.I also loved the focus on the friendships rather than the romantic relationships. Bonus point: I’m so glad we got to see Seo Kang-Joon in a role where he could showcase different sides for his character, the troubled and the goofy one, it suited him to well.

A big shoutOut for Casting Director
Every Drama has Plotholes If you intend to search for that,But there are some dramas when you even couldn't Notice those holes because of Actors/actress's outstanding Performance. This drama is one of those drama.I thoroughly enjoyed every episodes,Waited to see next episode, couldn't sleep at night without being finished it and getting hangover effect after finishing it-- All Those are criteria of a Good drama and 10/10 Drama from me.That's how a Drama should entertain you.Cast and Their acting :* Literally every single actors Did well.Seo kang stole my heart i really want to see him in another agent drama, his Body, face card hard to ignore.
What i liked : Obviously Seo kang (ML).
* Jin go (FL) Did her role perfectly -She seems like a passionate teacher.and she proved it.
* ML Team- They were so funny to watch.although for NIS agent kinda lousy. But they will make you laugh.
* All the Student Character - YeNa and Yu jeong friendship deserve another series. They nailed their character.
* And THE VILLAIN : The psychopathic acting was done so well that even i got scared.
What i think average (Not disliked)
The villain troupe and Motive of her being Villain. The intention behind her villaining was not enough to hate her.Her crime should be more grievous. But still ok.
Overall a Nice, refreshing watch.Welcome back Seo kang. You nailed it.❤️🧡💛💚

it’s okay… that’s pretty much all I have to say
It served its purpose as a background drama while I work on some things… sooo yeah.. (I really don’t know what else to say)The biggest problem I have is like… how does nobody suspect Seo Kangjoon?? As handsome as he is he does not look like a high schooler and I really can’t get over that.
The story is fine, nothing special, but interesting enough to keep you watching. Acting is fine too, I have nothing bad to say.

nice and refreshing plot!
as the title says, the plot was quite unique and honestly enjoyable. but as other reviews said, seo kang joon really steals the show. his acting is flawless and i really think he suits action sort of roles! the plot wasnt too complicated to understand and all the characters were enjoyable especially their acting!! everyone pulled off their part perfectly and i'd love to see them in other dramas. and im glad romance was a secondary theme to this. it was a really fun watch and i'd recommend it to someone who is in a drama slump right now.though i do have some criticisms:
- the supporting characters backstories should have been more in depth, especially Su A's
- Su A's character should've been way more significant
- the NIS team needed a backstory
- the comedy and plot needed to flow together more seamlessly
- romance should've also been done better. there wasnt enough to be extremely rooting for them as a couple, them getting together made little difference to me tbh, but the plot and chemistry makes up for it. im glad the romance didnt get rushed tho!
- i know its meant to be a light hearted watch, but there was way too many "gotcha!" moments. realism has left the chat.
These couldve all been solved if it was a 16 episode drama, its a shame it was so short.
- probably the most insignificant criticism but my biggest pet peeve is the random childhood friends moment. it actually boils my blood you dont understand!! drama wouldve been a solid 9.5 for me without it. i notice this in a lot of east asian dramas and somehow people eat it up every time. do you all have some unforgettable childhood crush from when you were 6 like what??? but i was able to look past it because it was only mentioned like twice.
nevertheless a lot of these criticisms are forgiven because it was an enjoyable watch. highly recommend.
it was the first drama i finished without dropping in a long time so my rating might seem a little biased haha

A Warm,Light hearted watch
After a long time i watched Seo kang and He totally nailed his character. My +1 point is just for him.He literally carried the show although The villain also did the work for me.She is convincing as a villain. This is one type of drama where writer left major plotholes but who noticed?? - when there is literally a Handsome face popping up everytime. hahaha!!
Plotholes like - How the Guard got his father notebook. Literally no one cared to explain thia major part. Why a NIS a agent is so weak and emotional (His teammate) that doesn't make any sense. The villains reasoning just to prove her a psychopathic character doesn't actually convince all the crime she did.Motive behind villains action should be more Gruesome or heavy.
The FL-Nothing special. But actually did well to play as a teacher.Forceful Childhood connection and romance just destroy my mood.but its ok
BGM was good specially for ML entry.
