There's something rotten in Korean schools

Boys over Flowers - School bullying
Weak Hero Class - School bullying
Pyramid Game - School bullying
Study Group - School bullying
Hierarchy - School bullying
Squid Game.... Uh huh, un huh.... the beginning of everything was ... yes .... School bullying...probably
The school is dangerous. Mathematics, physics, french. Тhe french language is my mortal enemyand given the chance I would burn its grammar rules to the ground. Je suis désolé. Le français est la langue la plus romantique du monde.

Yep, yep to the series

This was a interesting, fun, a little dramatic and really enjoyed it. My highlights of the show include:
Loved you since childhood
Fabulous friends group
Treasure hunt
Characters who communicate with no manufactured drama
Romance *cough* between a history teacher and a NIS agent
School bullying

The only problem I had with this series was that I wished it was longer... but I think it was the perfect length. Nothing dragged out and nothing cut too short. An intriguing, suspenseful and full of humour, riddles and action. There were moments in the story that had me laughing out loud, and moments where I was on the edge of my seat but had an undertone of sweet.

Good kdrama

The story has some substance that elevate it from other dramas of the same genre. A little comedy and a little mystery wrapped up together. Could have been better in some areas? Yes, but it's not a bad watch at all. The acting of the main "couple" and of the villain are a definite highlight. A race of good vs evil while on a treasure hunt.

An amazing mix of comedy, mystery, action and romance!

First of all, I absolutely loved this drama and am still smiling after just finishing it :D

Okay so, Undercover high school is centered on an NIS agent acted by Seo Kang Joon, going undercover in a high school to find gold supposedly hidden inside the school. During this journey full of hilarious moments, exciting mystery, and thrilling action he meets a teacher of the school (Jin Ki Joo), and the two eventually end up solving the mystery together, getting to know each other better in the process.

My favorite character in the drama (I really love her, has to be one of my favorite FLs in K-drama haha) is Jin Ki Joo's character Oh Su-a! She's quick-witted, confident, funny, supportive, and really cares about others (especially her students and the ML Hae Seong). Jin Ki Joo did an absolutely amazing job with the character! Her and Jeong Hae Seong are an exceptionally entertaining and cute duo throughout the drama! The villain is also interesting to follow, though maybe a bit too "comically evil" and lacking the depth that the absolute best villains have. (One of two very small issues I have with the drama).

The actual plot is exciting, has no boring moments whatsoever, and mixes different genres excellently (although the drama mostly is very light and easy to watch, focusing on the comedy aspect). The final episode especially is one my favorites in a while, it delivers perfect conclusions to every plot point and gives a truly satisfying ending (rare in K-dramas haha). One small flaw with the plot is the number of illogical parts and plot points where you kind of just have to suspend disbelief a lot. In this drama it didn't bother me much but keep it in mind if that usually annoys you in dramas.

The biggest reason why I loved this drama so much is the fact that it truly is a feel-good drama. Every episode made me laugh and smile, the comedy was actually funny. The ending is also amazingly cute and made me giggle out of excitement haha. These kinds of dramas are my absolute favorite and this was exactly what I needed right now :D

I can sincerely recommend this drama to everyone, please go watch it haha!

Fun Ride!

This was a great one! So much fun to watch. The lead actors were perfection and their chemistry was great. The supporting cast was awesome too. The storyline was over the top but it was supposed to be. I mean there was no way she could have really gotten away with that much come on, lol. Music was great and the Ending was satisfying.

Omg fun :) and realistic. No rosey glasses here

The ML is super charming, spunky, cheery guy and that comes out in his role, he is GREAT.
FL is a little ... stupid, unfortunately the script wasnt nice to her... The actress is pretty and she did the best she could..

The story is realistic, and the actions are realistic. People who fight, get hurt. At the end, the NIS agent becomes a school teacher...

Undercover High School: A Perfect Blend of Comedy, Romance, and Thrills

I absolutely loved "Undercover High School"! The main characters were fantastic, and their chemistry was one of the highlights of the show. Each actor fit their role perfectly, making the relationships feel natural and engaging. The story was well-paced and easy to follow, with just the right balance of lighthearted moments and suspenseful twists. I found the plot above average in terms of thrills, keeping me interested without ever feeling too heavy.

The comedy was genuinely funny and never felt forced, adding a refreshing touch to the overall narrative. The romance was also well-developed, with sweet and believable interactions between the leads that made me root for them throughout the series. Overall, "Undercover High School" is an enjoyable watch that blends comedy, romance, and a bit of mystery in just the right proportions. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a fun and engaging drama!

Brilliant and refreshing! but deserved more romance...

humor, originality , suspense, thriller and friendship!! brilliant drama that perfectly blends humor with thrilling plot twists, sweet romance with blood chilling mysteries and heartfelt friendships with found family. I love it overall and found it very refreshing!! I even cried in several points of it, because I was moved by the story or by the relationship Hae Song had with the students 🥹🥹 I never felt the need to skip, it was very very enteirtaing and I got attached to all of the characters so much. The story was insanely good written and the plot gripping!! too bad the romance was only hinted at for 11 episodes... I think for this drama to get 9.5 it would have needed more romance and for it to get 10 it would have needed more episodes!!!

Be Mesmerized by Seo Kang Jun and Don't Think Too Much

The leads were adorable (Seo Kang Jun is anime pretty), and the villainess was delectable. When I shut off my brain, I enjoyed the story; I just had to quit noticing things like the professional, intelligent agent meeting a known traitor alone in a deserted spot without notifying the team. The story of hidden gold was serviceable, but Seo Kang Jun was the sole reason for the high ratings; he can do action, comedy, and romance.

Just Laugh & Enjoy

When an elite NIS agent is forced to pose as a student, his assignment becomes more tricky after several misunderstandings with his Korean history teacher. He’s determined to solve the case + solve the mystery surrounding his father’s disappearance; she’s desperate to become a full-time faculty member & be a good teacher. Will they keep getting in each other’s way & stay “rivals” or will they discover an ally in one another?

This has both heart & humor; mystery & action; villains & heroes. There’s the cruel reality of bullying & the toll it takes. There’s the heartbreaking loss of a parent. There’s the bonds of found family. There’s the beauty of reunited childhood “loves”.

The cast did their roles really well. They made us root for the good guys & detest the bad ones. Loved the students’ stories & character growth. And kudos to the mega villainess - her ability to portray such a psychotic woman deserves a round of applause. 👏🏻

Overall I enjoyed this drama. My one complaint would be that I wanted more romance between the Leads. They’re both such great actors that it felt like such a wasted opportunity that we didn’t actually get them as a couple until the last scenes so they just felt more like buddies. Regardless, though, it’s still a good watch.

Secret Missions and High School Chaos

Undercover High School follows Jeon Hae-seong, a skilled NIS agent tasked with going undercover at a high school. From the very first episode, the show delivers an exciting and engaging opening, blending action with a sense of urgency that immediately draws the viewer in. While the overall storyline was solid, there were moments where the pacing felt uneven, and certain scenarios dragged longer than necessary, which occasionally tested my patience.

One of the strongest elements of the series is how it portrays Jeon Hae-seong’s character. His awkwardness in everyday situations contrasts sharply with his ability to rise to the occasion when circumstances demand it, giving his character a relatable yet heroic edge. The series does a commendable job highlighting his growth and unwavering dedication to uncovering the truth, which forms the backbone of the narrative.

However, the inclusion of a romantic subplot felt largely unnecessary and somewhat forced. It appeared to exist primarily to tick the “romance” box rather than to genuinely enhance the story, and the show would have maintained a stronger and more cohesive tone had it focused solely on action and comedy.

On a brighter note, the villain was exceptionally well-developed. With a compelling backstory and clear motivations, the antagonist adds real depth and stakes to the plot, elevating the series beyond a standard action-comedy.

Cinematographically, the show shines during comedic moments and high-energy action sequences, capturing both humor and intensity with skill. The soundtrack, while serviceable, didn’t particularly stand out, though it effectively complemented the overall mood.

In summary, despite some pacing issues and the unnecessary romantic subplot, Undercover High School is an enjoyable watch. Its strong character development, well-crafted villain, and blend of action and comedy make it a series worth checking out.

A bad mix of mystery, action and comedy

Honestly, I found the drama a bit disappointing, as its comedic potential was often overlooked in favor of mystery and action. While the comedic moments, particularly those featuring O Su-a or the NIS team, were entertaining, the focus on mystery and action felt misplaced. At first, there was a sweet romance between the two main characters, Seo Kang Joon and Jin Ki Joo. However, their relationship often felt like it was less important than the main plot. Some of the supporting characters weren't very interesting, and the antagonist didn't have much depth. The mystery quickly became predictable, which resulted in the later episodes being less engaging, culminating in a rushed and unsatisfying ending. The drama did have its brighter moments, despite these flaws. The dynamic between the male lead and his team provided some of the most enjoyable scenes, showcasing genuine friendship and teamwork. And when the balance of action and comedy was just right, it was genuinely entertaining. Ultimately, this drama demanded a certain suspension of disbelief and proved to be light, chaotic, and undemanding if you chose not to overthink it. However, it just didn’t deliver on its promise of a cohesive and engaging story.
