Skip the last 4 episodes
I think everything that needs to be said regarding this story's ending has already been mentioned in the previous reviews.I second the motion to please skip the last 4 episodes.
If, however, you've been unfortunate enough to read the reviews after watching this entire series, then...
Please wash the distaste in your mouth with the original novel.
Thank you.

Draggy and badly dubbed
This drama starts off pretty, decently nothing wow but youth, ambition smart people, talented people, mean girls and muscles. Really whats not to like...Bu then it just goes on and on and onabout C1, C2 scheming and what not, taking away the sweet fluff moment's and even taking some really sweet characters and completely ruining them at an attempt from saving us from SLS or just to fill in episodes. I can think of 999 better ways to fill those episodes as they dragged out the middle the ending was so rushed I did't really catch what actually hapend.
So honestly while there is. a lot of sweetness and smart women for once the rest is just meeh and a waste of time. So if you do watch it Id say watch the school years and maybe first year of university but skip the rest or jump to the last 10 minutes, you won't really miss much.

Once again, the Chinese managed to ruin a good drama!
This was a good, solid drama until the final 25 minutes when they returned to their crappy lives. Sorry for the spoiler, but potential viewers need to know the truth so they don't waste their time and effort on this piece of junk. The only bright spot was that ML/FL seemed to retain their memories from this 22 episode dream so maybe their love survived. Their careers didn't. Neither did all the great things that happened to FL's family and friends. They got to continue in their previous misery. Who wrote this piece of garbage??? I gave it 9.0 for story because it was great until the last 25 minutes. I gave it an overall 3 because of the last 25 minutes. Don't watch it unless you want to have your heartbroken like all the characters in this drama who returned to their crappy lives. Was this review helpful to you?
A second chance Romance
So picture this story A young woman Gu Xue Jiao fails her college entrance due to being totally love‑obsessed She grows up, ends up as a struggling contract worker and her ruthless boss Lin Zhi Hua kicks her to the curb in a layoff Then she somehow gets flung back into her final year of high school as a 18‑year‑old again with all her adult memories intact Classic second‑chance vibe she decides to focus on studies instead of romance But fate keeps dropping boss-turned-tutor Zhi Hua right into her life Sparked chemistry and unexpected romance ensue It’s all about learning from past mistakes and rewriting destiny-while falling for the one who once fired you.Cast and characters:
‑ Sun Zhen Ni plays Gu Xue Jiao, a more mature 18‑year‑old who’s determined and career‑focused this time not a naive crybaby
‑ Chen Jing Ke is Lin Zhi Hua-initially the cold boss, but he turns out chatty, snarky, and too attractive to resist
Side characters include Gu Ming Ze (the lazy brother who fails his exams and basically tags along) and Zhou Shi Yun (the ex‑villain who softens later). Then there’s Gao Rui and Lin Zhi Yue (his sister) whose subplot felt more like filler and wasted potential and her ex-Bf
ome fans were totally into the chemistry between the leads, one person said “Definitely a good story, very lighthearted with great chemistry between the leads. Also abundance of eye candy”
But others were let down by the ending, like “the last 10 minutes of the drama was absolutely horrible though. I’m literally sitting here wondering why they would do that”
Some reviews share a similar vibe Says the first episode was irresistible but around episode 20 things go off the rails, unnecessary detours and filler arcs that drag down what had been a sweet romance They even suggest stopping at episode 20 if you want to preserve the good feelings
Weak parts include the ex turned villain friend turned not-so-convincing side-character, unnecessary filler after episode 20, a rushed ending that feels like a “rough detour” before closing.
Loved the male lead in this role – seriously, he was so good I almost wanted to fail my exams just so I could time-travel back to high school and meet a bossy tutor like him 🤭❄️. The ending? They pulled the old “it was all a dream” card, but honestly, the sweetest twist was that both of them actually remembered everything. Like, excuse me, this wasn’t just a dream, this was a full Netflix subscription in their brains 😂.
I actually didn’t mind the ending, but come on, could they not have stretched it one more episode to let us breathe? Give us at least one more date, one more hug, maybe one more slow-mo snowstorm stare 👀. Instead they slammed the door shut like a parent catching you sneaking snacks at midnight 🍫🚪.
And why oh why do Cdramas love to pull these stunts? It’s like written in their drama constitution: thou shalt break up, thou shalt cry, or thou shalt confuse the audience in the last 15 minutes. Hello? I don’t want to imagine. If I wanted to imagine, I’d have written the story myself – and trust me, mine would’ve ended with a wedding, five kids, a villa, and a golden retriever 🏡🐶🤣.
Lol seriously though, despite the “what the heck” ending, this drama was still a treat. I laughed, I swooned, I shouted at my screen, and in the end I forgave them… mostly.
Overall the drama is sweet fun realistic about memory-loss, chemistry off the charts, healthy relationship energy fights are normal, no break-ups, just real-feeling love. Looking particularly good: male lead looked amazing “amidst a snowstorm of love” and the female lead was absolutely stunning Great acting and natural growth.
So if you want a summary in plain, it’s basically a sweet second-chance romance full of chemistry laughs and realism Cuts deep into study vibes and personal growth Just be warned the ending gets cluttered and a bit rushed-enjoy, maybe bail after episode 20 if it trips you up.

fantastic chemistry that is gonna make your heartflutter
i absolutely love both leads. their acting was impressive. chen jin ke showed amazing micro-expressions (esp his brows, deserves a fandom of its own) and sun zhen ni portrayed so many emotions with just her eyes, and i love seeing them together. absolutely love their dynamic, their progress from enemies to lovers (somewhat) was certainly the cherry on top. seeing their cat and dog disagreements when their fragile bond was still developing to their lighthearted banters when they were already a couple was definitely fun to watch.the fact that they both traveled back in time makes it even better. i suppose i was anticipating the reveal to be made much earlier so that they can depend on each other with their knowledge of the future and become such a power couple. but then, the delay does work in its own way to deliver the intended storyline and make them face more individual growth that way. yes, there were unneeded setbacks because of it and i would say its typical for a drama to add some level of drama to a smooth sailing plot. however, it worked out naturally to strengthen their bond and the argument was a completely normal irrational human reaction for people in love, and they didn't escalate it for ridiculously too long which i appreciate.
the ending could have been better and it is pretty obvious how everyone reviewing was rather threw off because of the last 10 minutes of the drama and set the ratings very low for this despite initially wanting to give an almost perfect rating. i am disappointed with the ending myself, but i must say it could have been worse and i'm glad it wasn't as bad.
there was a chance of them making lin zhi hua never part of the journey and it was all just a dream for her Alone. and i would say that kind of ending would have been even more horrible, i would've hated this drama to the ground. the fact that he still retains the same memories as she does shows that the dream was maybe perhaps an actually reality that did exist for both of them.
as much as she felt lonely waking up from a dream where she lost all the accomplishments and connections she built up, it would have been far more devastating to know that it was all just a dream and the very person who was right there to experience and build it up with her, was never part of the journey to begin with and treats her coldly like a stranger with no attachments. that, would have been horrid had they decided to take that route for the ending.
yes, i hated that all the effort they put thru in their second life has all but vanished. i hate endings where "it was all just a dream" bc it makes all the journey come down to nothing but one person's fantasy. all the people that were able to make different choices and become better people. their family, friendships, financial, academic, and business problems, all of those that they were able to overcome in the second timeline has been reduced to nothing.
but i believe the writer intended to emphasis that these two lovers were fated for each other regardless in whichever timeline they're in. they were able to persevere so much together in the second change timeline. sure enough, they're gonna be able to persevere more together in the original timeline.
like what zhi hua told xue jiao in the last episode, "i can create another company ten thousand times. but you're one of a kind." emphasising that whatever troubles that comes my way, it doesn't matter as long as i have you with me. it can be assumed that is why he left the company after waking up from the elevator coma. it was already infested with too many 'bugs' and right now, he needs to reset and start back from scratch.
perhaps there is a possibility that all of them can have their character developments in the original timeline, albeit much later in life and after creating even more problems for the people around them. but i assume that is the intended message with the final scene showing shi yun and ming ze meeting each other again, where shi yun is the one going after ming ze instead. hints at an open ending that change is possible, even in the original timeline.
[found out that there was censorship towards the time travel genre as it disrespects history and promotes superstition. so i think i can understand now why the ending was the way it is. however, it does give me the perspective that the author intended the story to end differently and it only turned out this way because of the ban which is unfortunate. great story though, but could've been better.]

hmm..
this drama is truly incredible. the storyline is well crafted, n several of the dialogues include quotes that carry deeper meanings, which i find absolutely fascinating. the plot feels light and easy to follow, yet it still manages to be engaging n entertaining from start to finish. i really enjoyed how the story unfolded, but I have to admit that the ending left me quite confused. why did everything turn out to be just a dream? doesn’t that mean all the efforts n struggles of the main character were completely wasted? it’s even more puzzling bcs in the very first episode, the female lead clearly said, “this isn’t a dream.” that line made the ending feel inconsistent and contradictory. despite that, the conflicts throughout the drama were relatively light and easy to understand. i highly recommend this drama, especially for beginners who are just getting into this genre. the way the main character deals with challenges is impressive and inspiring. she uses clever strategies that make the story full of unexpected twists and turns. overall, it’s a drama that blends emotional depth with simplicity, and even though the ending might feel unsatisfying, the journey to get there is definitely worth watching. Was this review helpful to you?

nice charming time travel drama
Watch it for yourself. It wasn't that bad at all and it wasn't perfect but it was nice charming time travel drama.I like the chemistry between Gu Xue Jiao and Lin Zhi Hua. Before, they didn't seem to like each other and even in the future at that time, Zhi Hua didn't seem to like her? or maybe he didnt get a chance to express how he felt.
After they time time traveled back 10 year before, they both developed a bond while withholding that they are from the future.
Xue Jiao did her best to make sure her family and career was on a better path and she had nothing to worry about. Xue Jiao and Zhi Hua worked theirselves to become a better person for both themselves and work.
I really didn't see why they did Yi Tian Yu like that.... like they should have just let him be a "good guy" but oh well.
We didn't get a wedding, bummer! but there were alot of kissing scenes that made up for that for me personally.
Now on the day sept 5 when they were together, she woke up from a coma and he was at work.
This made me so mad because all their hard work and achievements (even family and friends) didn't happen?????
I ask that because when they went back in the elevator, they held hands and were smiling????
What kind of ending was that????
I still have this a 8/10 because I was pleased up to the ending.

Time travel story but......
Okay, this one got me. I wasn't going to review, although I did enjoy it. It was a typical "time travel to the past to fix everything" story. I like those so, why not? I waited for it to finish airing and binged it. The actors were excellent, the music decent, the story quite good. Now, here's the thing. I only really cared about the main couple starting about halfway through. Once they got closer together I ended up finding myself annoyed when it was other couples on the screen. So, yeah, I started to skip scenes. Not something I really like to do, but the show really only needed the first couple in my opinion.
The "antagonists", ehh. The ex, obvious, but dang, went kinda scary towards the end there. The frenemy? Makes too much sense. Probably why she bored me. The smattering of other small baddies; really just used to keep the story going. Does it sound like I actually hated this show? I really didn't. It was enjoyable. However, just about to finish the last episode and BANG! Out of nowhere , plot twist!! Hated it with so much passion, for about 2 minutes, then, *sigh* everything was okay again in my book. Would've rather had a MUCH different ending, but I'm okay. I'm at peace with it.
Lovely little show, probably won't watch again due to the stress of scene skips and ending but please give it a try. You might like it better!!

pretend like the ending doesn't exist and the show ended after episode 18
this drama is how i want all my modern cdramas to be like.definitely exceeded my expectation IF they had stopped at ep 18, which they didnt but since i pretend like it did the review will be based on that! ^^
whats good:
-chemistry b/w leads is impeccable, like it cant get better, their lovey dovey moments make me jealous as hell and i always felt like i was interrupting
-i felt like the pacing was perfectly, although there were timeskips the flow to each one was nice, no problem or arc was dragged on for too long and lasted enough to be enjoyable and fulfilling
-all the characters are gems, they add to the story and keep the plot going, they're all funny and have unique gurisk which made the show jst sooo enjoyable to watch
-the cinematography was so cozy imoo
what isnt:
-last arc was too unnecessary and stupid to talk about
-that one fight b/w the main lead wasnt dragged out but was exaggerated, it would've been better and more in character if they jst sat down and COMMUNICATED.
-no proper conclusion for the male leads best friend and cousin, they were so cute :(
overall,
its a solid and worth it story if u keep watching till episode 18,
would i rewatch? for their cute moments and kisses? a hundred times yes
would i recommend? yesss ^^
8/10 solidd

WHAT IS THIS ENDING ?????
This is my first time writing a review but i had to because I came to check the reviews soon after i ended the drama.I would like to say that this drama was great until the last episode and I enjoyed it from the beginning because it was interesting and I wanted to see how the story would proceed. I love the cast and their acting, and I was engaged throughout the drama until I saw the last episode (Emphasis on the last episode). I did read a lot of reviews, and many agreed with the point that there should have been a better ending. Many said it was because of the censorship that it had to have that ending, but it was still too abrupt, and the writers should have obviously known about the laws and changed the ending.
I know some people would perhaps like this ending, and said not to hate on the drama. Still, I just think that her spending all that time trying to fix her past mistakes, like focusing more on her studies and career, helping her family avoid mistakes, and much more to just end up with her waking up from a coma and this whole thing being a dream is just too sad of an ending. Now im just filled with many questions that are left unanswered.
THIS DESERVES A BETTER ENDING :(

Amazing story with great characters, but then came the ending
The show was pretty good. The characters were so good and the starting episodes were very interesting and inspiring. The whole drama had a really good vibe. The actors did a really great job at portraying their characters. The drama had pictured really nice and important phases of a person's life. The overall character building and story building was amazing.
Second chance at life done right could have been the perfect title for this.
And then came the downfall.
Everything else was good until the very last episode, in fact last 15minutes made the whole show go down the drain.
They could've ended the show after the first half of last episode, but no, they had to shove the disappointment onto us that they have done such a worst possible thing to the ending. It was perfect until the last 15mins. The last few minutes of this drama made the whole story pointless.
Just for the sake of ML and FL to grow their love and bond stronger they just threw down every other character's story down the drain.
That's literally the worst possible ending anyone could give to a show which had very nice actors, and a great hype.
The last few minutes made such a huge impact to the show that any person who sees this will literally hate the writer/the director. Only if those last few minutes were cut out in the editing, we would've got the perfect ending.
The whole show was worth binge watching, except the ending.

perfect example of a good story messed up by the ending.
This drama had so much potential, and for the most part, it delivered — until the last few episodes completely derailed the story. The premise of a girl going back in time to fix her past mistakes and change her future isn’t exactly new, but it was still engaging and handled well in the beginning. For most of the show, I was invested. I loved seeing the female lead work hard to improve herself, mend her family relationships, and support her friends. The writers went into such great detail about her career journey, her growth as a person, her college friendships, and even her family dynamics. Watching her succeed through hard work and perseverance was so satisfying — and seeing how she inspired her friends to reach their own goals made it even better.
And then… the ending happened.
Everything we watched — all of her progress, all of her friends’ growth, her brother finally believing in himself — turned out to be meaningless because it was all just a dream. Her family went back to being poor, her brother was back to his insecure self, and none of the hard work we witnessed mattered. It made the entire journey feel pointless and incredibly frustrating.
The male lead’s storyline wasn’t much better. His whole goal in going back was to save his best friend’s life, which felt like such an emotional and meaningful mission. And he succeeded — for a while. But when he returned to the present, his friend was dead again. So, all that effort and emotional investment were for nothing. The male lead also ended up in a completely different career path because of his friend’s death, which might have been interesting… except it didn’t matter either, because nothing truly changed. It was just heartbreaking and hollow. The only “consolation” we got was that both leads remember what happened. Honestly, who cares if they remember, if nothing actually happened?
To make matters worse, the second male lead’s character was completely butchered at the end. He started out as a happy-go-lucky, slightly lazy guy who gradually became more focused and driven, while still staying true to his personality. Instead of continuing that growth, they suddenly turned him into a bitter, doom-and-gloom businessman obsessed with the female lead, throwing away his own happiness for a love that was never reciprocated.
This felt so unnecessary and out of character. His arc should have been about letting go, moving on, and maybe finally pursuing his dream of becoming a basketball player. Instead, we got a scene of him crying about how she was “all he had,” as if he didn’t have a loving, supportive father and a best friend who had always been there for him. It didn’t make sense, and rather than feeling empathy for his situation, I just felt frustrated and sad that the writers did him so dirty.
Final Thoughts:
Overall, I genuinely enjoyed this drama for most of its run. The first half was solid, and even up until the proposal, it was still really good. But the last two to three episodes completely undid everything that came before.
If you decide to watch, I honestly recommend stopping after the proposal or skipping the final few episodes. You’ll save yourself a lot of heartbreak and frustration.
It’s worth the watch for the journey — just don’t expect a satisfying destination.
