Great Character Dynamics, Messy Plot, Fadel and My Mixed Feelings

After Episode 11, I read a comment saying, "This show reaches new levels of stupidity every week, but at least it's still entertaining as hell. Also, it has Fadel." That pretty much sums up why I like this show. Thanks for coming to my TED Talk—but stay with me for a second. Should you watch this? Refer to the final thoughts for a short answer.

(⚠️ Point 4 contains ending spoilers.)

This isn’t exactly a review—more of a discussion and is being written for future viewers to understand that by watching this show, they’ll attach themselves to characters they won't ever forget. The love you’ll have for them will overpower the moments when logic takes a backseat.

When the trailer dropped, expectations were sky-high, which led to massive disappointment for some. Not for me, though, because I didn’t even know this show existed until Episode 2 aired.

So, I think I can explain how *NOT* to get disappointed and just enjoy it for what it is because, trust me, you WILL enjoy it.
1. Don’t expect BDSM.
There’s barely any. The few scenes that touch on it might not even be enjoyable depending on the context. (Or maybe they will be for some?)

2. Is this just pay gorn?
No. It might feel that way in the beginning, but it isn’t just that. Though, I did wish they would just yk HUG sometimes instead of going all the way. Lots of hugs after EP8 tho and most NC scenes were vague ‘going all the way’.

3. Crime and logic? Forget it.
You’d think a story about Hitmen brothers would be action-filled and kinda thrilling with Romance making it all the better? but… nope. This is a ROMANTIC COMEDY, guys. There is some police involvement, but don’t expect anything close to a real crime thriller or something of that sort. Also, if you killed people like Fadel and Bison do, you’d go straight from the crime scene to jail.
That being said, everything is unrealistic af if you really think about it. And I get that not every show needs to be realistic, but when your plot revolves around crime/ this sort of premise, some logic would help make the show better plot-wise. The show lacks that. It has moments that make you go, Really? That’s how GMM is handling this? But despite those moments, the story keeps you entertained throughout. And the characters? They make it all worth it!! Just don’t think about logic and watch it to not miss out on the fun ig.
4. The Ending (Spoilers Ahead!)
GMM tried to give Fadel & Bison a vague redemption arc in Episodes 11 & 12, but honestly? We would’ve been better off without it. And, this pains me to say, but the show might have been more impactful with a bittersweet or even sad ending but a realistic/ logical one. But, of course, it’s GMM. They treat sad endings like the plague.

Now, Let’s Talk Characters.

Fadel:
I thought I had a lot to say, but now that it’s time… I have no words. My love for Fadel is overwhelming. He’s easily one of my all-time favorite characters. Joong Archen Aydin is SO RIDICULOUSLY HOT that I wanted to punch my laptop multiple times. Fadel needs to shoot me ten times and then kiss the pain away—okay, I’ll stop. But seriously, GAWD, the things sweet-talker Fadel could get out of me, I’d be for the streets frfr.

"There must be something seriously wrong with you if you like the smell of gasoline."
"Really? I'm an addict then."

His smile, his hair, his grief, his sharp words, everything about him is beautiful. And Joong’s expressive eyes? They drive me batshit insane! Bonus: The Episode 5 garage scene. "Excuse me, my car broke down." The way he delivered that line made it my all-time favorite NC scene and EP11: “Can we just hug for 10 minutes straight?”

Style:
Alexa, play Diva by Beyoncé.

If I had to describe Style in one word? DIVA. In one sentence? A forever-empathetic, sensitive lover boy whom social anxiety is terrified of.

Style quickly became the most enjoyable character, giving us so many iconic lines:
- "I’m already thinking of opening an OF, and you (Fadel) can be my first bang."
- "SHIT, KANT, YOU MADE ME HIT ON A GUNMAN! I could've made the headlines: Handsome Man Killed in the Woods."
- "Gorgeous man with clear skin found dead in a crop top. My dad will recognize me right away."
- And the most iconic: "Good morning, Khub."

He’s flirty, wears his heart on his sleeve, and puts on a front of happiness—until Episode 11, when he ugly cries and breaks my heart. He’s the definition of a 'girl bestie' who will bring joy into your life.

Bison:
An actual puppy.
Bison is type of person who doesn’t have some grand ambition in life—he just wants a little bit of love and a home. The pain Khaotung expresses in moments of pure rage is phenomenal. His acting in this role was next-level, and his chemistry with First? Out-wordly!
Kant:
People want complex characters, but they can’t even understand Kant. Everything he did was for his brother. No, he couldn’t just leave Babe with Style’s family and let the kid wonder why everyone abandoned him. Kant was trapped in an impossible situation and did his best to deal with it. He’s smart and loving, and while you may not like him at first, you will eventually.

Final Thoughts:
This show? A fun, chaotic mess. The plot? not the worst—just illogical at times(Or maybe I’m just being biased here). The characters? Absolutely unforgettable. Would I recommend it? Yeah, IF you go in with the right expectations (the ones mentioned above) and don’t want to miss out on the fun and AMAZING characters, aka your new imaginary friends.
This is getting long, but I think you can tell that JoongDunk will stand out more to most because both Style and Fadel are simply iconic. This is my 3rd “review” so please bear with me if this is not good, helpful, and fun. Like Kant, I, too, tried my best:(

This broke the internet for a reason

This show falls off towards the end in a very weird way, in my opinion they should have made about 2 episodes less because up until then the writing was pretty tight. The only other criticism I have is that the romantic relationships take a very central role towards the middle when the show already has a very intriguing plot to explore instead. Other than those two things, this show is FIRE! The music, editing and overall look of the show are amazing (ignoring Kants weird looking tattoos). And of course the acting is beyond what I could have imagined. The cast knew exactly what was required from them and they all played these characters to a T. They could not have cast better actors for these roles. The hype the show had was absolutely justified and I think it only decresed towards the end because the story was dragging a little and they focused on the romance to much. Nevertheless, this show is absolutely worth a watch.

Heart Killers it iss!!

I wanna start by saying Joong and dunk slayed in their acting!! Especially Dunk , cos many of them say his acting isn't that good, but for me he just proved everyone wrong in this drama! So the storyline of this drama was not cliche and felt original for me and the name of the drama suits it very well! Omgg the nc scenes were soo good that I was almost melting. xd.. The chemistry between the actors were almost as real.. It was quiet a rollercoaster at times while watching this but it all was worth it!!

I did not pay much attention to the music cos the drama plot kept me on a hook. Although there were some cringe scenes that I think you shouldnt pay much attention to.. In conclusion the drama was great and one of joongdunks' best series so far!!

Sorry for not mentioning first and khaotong , they did a great job too! But for me I was more impressed with Joong and dunk in this series..Thank youuu <3

I have to say, I kinda have a love-hate relationship with this series. I really love the premise of this story, the settings, the vibes, the song choices, the characters as well, especially style, fadel and bison.

I love fadelstyle dynamic and how joongdunk potray their character. They improve so much since their last series. I think the only reason why I keep watching this until the end was because of fadelstyle and their interesting dynamic through the series.

On the other hand, the things that I dont really like from this series was a lot of shit that doesn't make any sense happens in this series. The plot holes everywhere. The shallow detail of how they show fadel-bison-lily situation and conflict. The action scene that poorly executed. And at how kantbison dynamic start to feel plain, boring and uncomfortable to watch, starting in the middle of the show. I also always feel weird with the way first kanaphan talk in his series. Like his acting is nice, his expression always on point and all, but his tone is so damn flat, like reading a damn script.

But overall I kinda enjoy this show, and gonna recommend this to friends, with obviously a tiny warning to turn off their common sense for a while.

Some heart, not enough killers.

Wasn't really sure if I was going to watch this at all, but ended up sticking around because Style (Dunk) in those crop tops!! Style really was the cherry on top for me as a whole actually. I don't think I've ever really been a huge fan of his acting, but he did so good in this series.

Overall, I felt like this series was a little all over the place. It kind of had the same effect on me as Dangerous Romance. I was expecting a little more on the hired killers side of things, and I wanted it to be be a little darker. But it instead it felt a little cheap at points.

Also the tattoos on Kant (First) were.... not great. I tried to overlook them but ultimately couldn't.

The finale...just didn't do it for me. I didn't like the last minute drama tbh, I ended up forwarding through it. But glad both pairings got their happy endings.

ove, Lies, and a Hamburger Shop

This series is a wild mix of crime, comedy, and romance that keeps you entertained from start to finish. The premise alone is quirky: a tattooist working as a spy, an unforgettable one-night stand, and two assassin brothers who run a hamburger shop. The storyline plays with absurdity in the best way, blending action and humor while slowly unfolding unexpected relationships.

What really shines here are the character dynamics. Kant’s charm and cunning, Bison’s conflicted vulnerability, Fadel’s intimidating protectiveness, and Style’s chaotic energy all combine into a messy, hilarious, and surprisingly heartfelt ride. The banter between characters provides plenty of laughs, while the romantic undercurrents add depth and warmth.

While the plot can be over-the-top at times, that’s exactly what makes it fun. If you enjoy unconventional setups, bromance, chaotic humor, and romance blooming in the most unlikely places, this drama delivers an entertaining and refreshing experience.

Worth watching

What I love about this series is that everything is so realistic.
Maybe not everything about the story,(which was creative and interesting)
but the roles seemed so realistic..I could feel Kant,Bison,Style and Fadel
when they said something or felt something.
And whenever I feel like that while watching a series, I know
the actors are really good!
And I could feel the love between the couples.
I can just say that I loved them both.
Im glad I continued watching it after a few weeks of a break at the beginnend, because this series had a great vibe.

it could’ve been better

To be honest, I expected more from this drama and sometimes it lived up to my expectations but some episodes and storylines were just bad. I was excited to watch it and I waited for it but I think the plot declined with every episode. In my opinion, KantBison storyline was boring and I mostly watched it on 2x speed, FadelStlyle storyline was much better but for some reason at the end it got boring. 12th episode felt really empty and even the scene with Lily didn’t have the same energy and emotions it should’ve had, it just didn’t feel right at all. I was also disappointed that no one on the team did a research on the Indigenous peoples and referred to them how they did, it was a mood breaker for me. With all it being said, I still enjoyed the show and waited for it every week. It was emotional and sexy at times, I enjoyed Style a lot and he is probably my favourite character in the show. The chemistry between all the actors is incredible and it’s interesting to see the interactions between the characters since they all have such different dynamics and personalities. Plot had it’s strengths and it was enjoyable to watch but I think at times it was just too simple or not executed as great. I also wanna add that the music was probably my favourite part of the series, not just the OST’s but the music used in the show, all the actors are good singers (in my humble opinion) and these OST’s are probably one of the best to come out in the past two years. Overall, I did like this drama and I enjoyed it a lot but the ending just didn’t live up to my expectations.

It was mid.

I have to say, I was so excited going into this drama. I love both JoongDunk and FirstKhao, and was looking forward to them both doing this concept, as I wanted them to do so. But although I did find myself truly enjoying this series and was invested in it, it seemed very rushed and lacked a lot of strong points. I thought that they could have added much more to the plot, as it did not seem that they thought it out, if you ask me. This just seemed like they only wanted to put something out, not worrying about the quality. JoongDunk and FirstKhao themselves have amazing chemistry, which does keep us intrigued, but I'm sorry, this series did not seem to focus on what the viewers would think.

FirstKhao is on my top five favorite pairings, but their characters in this did not pull me the way I hoped. Their dynamic with the plot did not hit hard, which was disappointing. I would much rather watch all their other series together because they work better.
JoongDunk is also somewhere on my top five favorite pairings, and unlike FirstKhao's characters in this, I enjoyed the way Fadel and Style clicked in here. Joong's character, Fadel, has more depth than his brother, more storyline. Which is why I believe I enjoyed the series the way I did. And Dunk's character, Style, fit perfectly with him. Style added a bit of comedic relief. I don't understand why Dunk got so much hate for this. His facial structure is more on the relaxed side, making it hard to convey the emotional expressions you must display; however, it never felt forced.

Overall, both pairs did okay to make the show worth watching with what they could do. This series definitely seemed more about quantity than quality. However, I believe that if they had put much effort into the plot and script itself, even if that meant more episodes, then the show would have turned out better. The plot and script are the selling points; it's what keeps viewers interested. No matter who you cast or how great the chemistry between them may be, without a great plot, the show becomes boring and leaves a negative impression for people to just click off. Not to mention the ending of the final episode? I'm sorry, but it looked bad, obviously low budget, and downright rushed. I've seen many other works from this network, and I know they are much better about the plots and quality, which is why I believe they focused too much on just getting something out. In the end, I am surprisingly disappointed about the lasting impression of this series because I had high hopes for it.

Loved it but !!

The casting in this crime thriller is absolutely on point, with each actor bringing depth and intensity to their roles. The series is a wild rollercoaster of twists and turns, keeping you hooked and craving the next episode. The tension is gripping, the character development is solid, and the emotions hit hard. However, the ending felt a bit rushed, which left me wanting more.
What truly stands out is the dynamic between the male leads—the subtle glances, the unspoken tension, and the undeniable chemistry woven into the fabric of the narrative. It’s a thrilling mix of crime, mystery, and emotions that will keep you invested till the very end.
