HETERO DEMAIS

A bunch of firsts...and a bunch of love.

First Friends. First Love. First heartbreak. First dreams and first encounter with the harsh reality of the world. A hundred memories is the perfect representation of firsts in life and how fate and destiny impact your surrounding and your feelings, all set in a stunning and somewhat heartwarming 80s background. It follow Youngrye, Jonghee and Jaepil throughout the years and highlights the changes in their relationship but also emphasises how somehow not much has changed since the first time they met.

I like this drama because imho it was able to capture perfectly some notions such as the innocence and intensity of a first crush/love, the absolute excitment and power at finding a best friend for the first time but also all the heartbreaks that comes with growing up and dealing with all those emotions. There is, all over the drama, a study about fate and destiny and how these two concepts play a big part in the life of the FML Youngrye and what I appreciate is that it is about her loves, her friendships but also her family . At the end of the day, it is all about fate, destiny and timing...sometimes your first love is not the last, sometimes your first friend will forever be your friend, sometimes your borther gets to study and you don't, it's fate, it's timing, it's all being at the mercy of life and time.

The acting is really great and they all seemed to have grasped their characters well. Again the setting and all the side characters are SO good and makes the drama 10 times more enjoyable.

Now, It has its frustrating moments, especially with the obvious triangle that never is just a romantic triangle but rather a bigger thing. It can be extremely annoying but it's really not the case for me as I try to look beyond the first layer of their relationship, meaning the romantic aspect of it. I try to see further, because they are friends, because they all love each other, because they all are their firsts and each of their meeting were fate and destiny and so it can be hard to let go of these people that quite literally expanded your entire view on life. Therefore, if these types of tropes pisses you off, I don't think A hundred memories is for you, for others, please give it a try, i think it's great!

a fresh story and love line in K-drama, unlike any other.

I’m really enjoying A Hundred Memories, it brings such a refreshing twist to the usual K-drama trope of “the FL always gets all the love from the MLs.” For once, we see a story where the ML doesn’t fall for the FL, and honestly, I’m here for it. I especially love the romance between Seo Jong-Hee and Han Jae-Pil, it feels genuine and compelling.

For those saying that Go Young-Rye “sacrificed her love” for the ML: no, she didn’t. She simply ended an unrequited love, which is something more people should do when their feelings aren’t reciprocated. The real sacrifice, the choice to value friendship over love, was made by Seo Jong-Hee.

I see so many people calling the ML a “red flag” just because he didn’t love the FL back: let’s be real. Not returning someone’s feelings doesn’t make you toxic, it just makes you human. K-dramas have spoiled some viewers into thinking that every rejection is a betrayal, but in reality, people are allowed to like (or not like) whoever they want.

As for the short time jump: if Young-Rye ends up with Jae-Pil, it would be pretty ironic. Remember, she pushed Jong-Hee to leave, even though Jong-Hee didn’t want to, and in doing so, Jong-Hee lost her new life, her love, and her friendships. Meanwhile, Young-Rye could walk away with everything, including the guy. And no one hates on the FL for that? Imagine if the roles were reversed, Jong-Hee would be dragged endlessly. Just because a character is the “Female Lead” doesn’t mean every choice she makes is right or justified.

So lovely! A masterpiece kdrama - mix of cute, sad, happy, harsh, and warm

You have to watch it to see what a real kdrama looks like :)

The cast is amazing

The story is great and is told so well, we get insight into their lives ....

And yeah this is not for some snotty brats with money and expensive cell phones and brand name clothing :) This drama is RAW, ral life, RAW TO THE BONE, survival - within your family, within society, within the bounds that are called your life circumstances.

This drama is just CUTE AND ALIVE . There is so much hardship and suffering - some people are from poor families and/or disfuctional families some are rich but from disfuctional families, and everyone is STRIVING to move on and live better and be happy.

King from MrQueen is here too and he brought instant comedy and aliveness, just a few seconds on screen....

FL is from Itewon Class and 9 Puzzles but here she is a cute insecure and poor good girl from family that basically sacrificed her so that her brother can attend college. She works sooo hard. Can hardly wait to see her grow up and grab the dude.

The dude is a hot dude and we find him boxing :) but hopefully he turns his life around.

This drama will disappoint all consumers and shallow people who love STUFF and glitzy plot with glam ppl. There is no glam here. THere is only some REAL HUMANS

A Hundred Memories: Two Friends, One First Love, One Bus

🔹 Would I rewatch? Yes
✨ How would you navigate a friendship tested by first love on a crowded city bus?

📕 Overview
🔹 12 episodes, romance, drama
🔹 Original screenplay (not adapted)
🔹 Kim Da Mi plays Go Yeong Rye, a relatable young woman working as a bus conductor despite her motion sickness.
🔹 Shin Ye Eun plays Seo Jong Hui, a spirited and funny best friend who brightens every moment.
🔹 Heo Nam Jun portrays Han Jae Pil, an aspiring boxer who brings both charm and conflict to the lives of those around him.
🔹 The story starts when Yeong Rye and Jong Hui meet Han Jae Pil, creating a friendship and hints of a love triangle.
🔹 At the time of this review, 2 episodes have aired
🔹 For now, I’m giving it a 9, but I may adjust as the story unfolds in later episodes.

🌸 How It Felt Watching
🔹 The opening was warm and grounded, depicting two women balancing work, family, and new feelings in 1980s Seoul.
🔹 A nostalgic retro drama that feels like flipping through an old photo album and hoping the central bond remains strong.
🔹 Themes: friendship, first love, loyalty, and family duty

✨ Cast & Acting
🔹 Kim Da Mi portrays Go Yeong Rye as a genuine character, someone you would want by your side.
🔹 Shin Ye Eun portrays Seo Jong Hui, bringing a playful energy that makes every scene feel more vibrant.
🔹 Heo Nam Jun portrays Han Jae Pil with an intensity and easy charm that naturally stirs things up.
🔹 The supporting cast creates a familiar atmosphere in family scenes, anchoring the story in everyday comfort.

🎞️ Production Style
🔹 1980s Seoul depicted with vintage buses, conductor uniforms, and pay phones for an authentic period feel.
🔹 Costumes are designed in retro styles that accurately reflect the era.
🔹 With only 2 episodes aired, the pacing felt a little slow to me, but it may pick up as the story develops.

☕ Tea Notes
🔹 What worked: The performances are compelling, highlighting the theme of friendship and featuring nostalgic details from the period.
🔹 What did not: The slower early pace might not appeal to everyone, though it could change in later episodes.
🔹 Would I rewatch? Yes
☕ SpillTheDramaTea’s Rating: 9/10
🌿 Tea-Scale: Full of flavor, really enjoyed this one
✏️ As SpillTheDramaTea, this one felt like a letter from a friend I did not want to put down

Girls be Ambitious

The Kdrama gods have been neglecting me when it comes to youth dramas. I am a sucker for them, as I'm also in my youth around the same time the characters go through lives in these dramas I'm just the same. I can relate to them, cheer for them, hate them, compare to them, you name it. What I'm looking for from these is a mix of nostalgia, hope, romance, and harships.

A Hundred Memories is tagged with a lot of genres, so this seems like its a good fit for now. I'm watching a handful of dramas, and I figured why not? If I'm curious-- why not watch? So here I am, and after the premeire I am seeing a lot of things I like. Short story, this drama is at least a high 8 rating. For some, it might not have the 'it' factor, for me- it's does.. let me explain.

I am in love with the setting. The 80s backdrop is already pretty unique, and gives off a warm sense of nostalgia. Underneath that, with it being the good year of 2025-- I am wondering if the setting of this drama reflects a future for these characters that is sad.. happy... the curiostiy I have alone is intrigue.. and that is something you want the viewer to feel to say the least.

I don't know why this drama isn't more 'hyped'. Being hyped is a double edged sword though, as people look for the wrong things and get underwhelmed. I don't really care for hype and take things for what they are. This drama follows Yeong Rye, played by Kim Da Mi. I've seen Da Mi play a lot of snappy characters, and here she proves herself as a versatile actress. Yeong Rye is a humble youth, a rule-follower, and a genuine spirit. Shin Ye Eun plays Seo Jong Hui, someone who is more confident and is new to the job. The both of them are a perfect duo to watch, and I'm rooting for either side. Their personalities balance eachother out, and besides the romance I see this relationship as the focal point of the story.

So the romance.... I am going into this knowing its a love triangle. Hopefully it is more like 25-21, with the female relationship as the center, and the romance a 'love-triangle' but sort of done right if that makes sense. I'm not here for the romance, but I sort of am in a way? Ja Pil is the ML, and I've seen Heo Nam Jun in a handful of dramas. The only complaint I have is that he is supposed to be a senior in highschool, and compared to the visuals of his best friend Cheol, played by Lee Won Jung.. its sort of night and day. One I buy into the highschooler, the other I sincerely do not. He's a good actor, and is handsome and young, just not super youthful. Not a bad thing probably, his character is more mature, and I believe he is a year older than his senior class? That's not a super big deal to me honestly.. I'm just mentioning it. Nam Jun is 32, and Lee Wong Jun is 24, so I'm a little nervous about their chemistry as best friends. For what it's worth it may be more of an 'I look up to you' thing, which is more buyable than a rivalry as friends, fighters, lovers, etc...

With the best friend to the ML in the mix I hope that fixes the love triangle. I see Cheol giving a love interest role that is a sort of 'puppy love' type. I'm excited for that, and I'm excited for the sub plots with the ML. Boxing is always going to reel me in, and the ML is a boxer so what can I say.

There's a lot to like here. I'm wary of the love rivalry, but see the solutions here for this to be a good.. maybe great watch. We might have ourselves a gem here.

After watching 10 episodes of A Hundred Memories, I feel the drama had a solid emotional core and steady pacing up until episode 10. The story felt well-settled and naturally growing, with each episode adding depth to the characters and their relationships.

However, beyond that point, it seems to lose its direction. Episodes 11 and 12 feel like they’re heading toward filler territory — more stretched emotion than real story progression. The emotional tension that once felt raw and meaningful now feels repetitive.

From a character perspective, I truly believe Young Rye deserved Jae Pil. She stayed, nurtured their bond, and built genuine connection over time. On the other hand, Jong Hee left after realizing Young Rye’s feelings for Jae Pil — which, ironically, showed how much she valued Young Rye more than her own love life at that time.

That’s why I find Jong Hee’s current hostility confusing. After giving up on Jae Pil once and stepping aside for seven long years, why fight a losing battle now? Her actions no longer carry emotional logic. It would’ve made more sense for her to move on, maybe find her own happiness — perhaps even with Young Rye’s brother — instead of turning their bond into unnecessary rivalry.

Overall, A Hundred Memories started with heartfelt storytelling and believable emotions, but post-episode 10, it risks becoming repetitive and losing the sincerity that made it special in the first place.

The best series of 2025?

A relatively new story, very good acting, from the main role to the most minor actors. The second half of the series stuck with me more than the first half of the series. And I hope none of them will fail in love (although we know they will).
About Jung Rae and Jung Hee's friendship, I was so happy that their friendship was back on track. About Jae Pil's feelings, he might still have feelings for Jung Hee, but I wish he wasn't with Jung Hee anymore. He's just starting to feel for Jung Rae since Jung Hee finally found him. My dear Jung Hee, please go and get married to Yong Shik♡ And a hundred memories are exactly a hundred memories for us :)

A HUNDRED PROBLEMS, NOT MEMORIES ????

Ostnya bagus, sinematografi juga kece. Tapi alurnya, klo diibaratkan sebuah benang, ini tu kayak benang yg lurus terus tiba-tiba ruwet di tengah lalu kemudian lurus lagi di akhir. Harusnya yg ruwet bisa dipotong, tp kalo gak dipotong, nggak jadi “a hundred” memories jadinya. ?

Memang drama yg isinya tentang mereka sih, tentang kehidupan masa muda mereka yg amburadul kayak mimpi demam.

⚠️SPOILER⚠️
Ep11-12 rasanya kek drama makjang, uaneh banget.
1. Kakaknye jonghee jd baik tp KECELAKAAN? Baik aja udah aneh eh ditambahin kecelakaan
2. Emaknye jonghee tibatiba sewa pembunuh padahal dia sendiri pernah mau bund1r, main main bgt sm nyawa orang. Sok thriller kah?!?!?? ?
3. Kenapa tibatiba ada insiden penusukannnn ANEHHHH

Dahlah Sebagai penonton netral yg gampang kebawa arus, aku kasih 7.5/10 deh ?

AMIZADE
