A Quiet Grief, A Loud Love — Our Movie is One for the Soul

Our Movie is a love story wrapped in stillness, built on grief, and told with aching tenderness. It doesn't rely on twists — it devastates with quiet truths.

Jeon Yeobeen and Namkoong Min deliver restrained, soul-stirring performances. Their chemistry unfolds in silences, glances, and the heartbreak of knowing love might not be enough to stop time.

The direction is masterful — every pause lingers just long enough. The cinematography captures both distance and intimacy with stunning softness. And the OST? It slips under your skin, haunting without ever overpowering.

This is a drama that whispers — and ruins you gently.

Please note: Any "reviews" attacking the personal lives of the actors are obviously written by malicious fans who haven’t even watched the drama and clearly have nothing better to do with their sad lives. Kindly use your own discretion and judgment in deciding whether you want to watch the drama and what you think of it. Have fun. :)

Loved this drama! But..the...ending....

This was such an amazing heartfelt drama. So many times some of these dramas are tooo long, I didn't want this one to end! Every drama that Namkoong Min is in is above your average drama so I knew it would be good from the start. Lee Da Eum's character is unforgettable, it makes you question your own outlook on life.
I just have one issue, the director did such an incredible job of making us feel for Lee Da Eum which is why I wish they would have let us be by her side when she died but instead it was a given that she died and instantly fast forwarded a year instead of letting us the audience have some closure as well.
Regardless of the ending this is a must watch drama! Great job by all the cast and crew ❤️ ❤️ ❤️

This is why we are in love with K drama!!! ?

I have seen only 4 episodes but I am in love already, with everything! The actors are perfect, the cinematography is magical, the music in perfect! I am really curious about how they will make the story evolve.

I read that ML actor decided to take the role in 2 days after reading the script, which makes me think it could bring something different!

The story seems to evolve quickly (even though you may find the rhythm of the drama slow… which I really enjoy here… Nkm definitely brings back some ‘my dearest vibes » I Can’t resists…🥵)

I can’t’ wait for the next episode!!

Masterpiece

The story is not very extraordinary, but the acting and directing were amazing, the soundtrack is very wonderful and the execution of the scenes is very skillful. I liked the work very much. There are many scenes that were filmed in a very poetic way that touched my heart. I can say that our movie is a masterpiece. This project deserves appreciation and more fame.

If you're struggling, watch this another beautiful addition to the gems of Korean Entertainment.

Made the account to express my love for the series. Some works try to do more than just entertain. To me, struggling with purposelessness, the series was like a gift, reminding once again the value of life, people and doing what your heart loves as opposed to running after money or forcing yourself to do stuff. Beautiful. It made me feel as alive as it did Lee Daeum or Gyuwon. There's just something about Korean entertainment. The heart, feelings, human behind the art is not dead. It's living💖 Highly respect😊.

Lee Da-eum: A Star That Shines Until the End

*Our Movie* is a deeply moving K-drama that skillfully blends melodrama with a profound reflection on life, illness, and artistic creation. The story follows Lee Je-ha (Namgoong Min), a talented director facing a personal crisis, and Lee Da-eum (Jeon Yeo-bin), an actress battling a terminal illness. Their encounter changes the course of their lives as they come together to undertake an ambitious project: creating a film that reflects their experiences and innermost emotions.

What makes this series so captivating is the way it portrays the complexity of human emotions with great accuracy. The finely crafted script avoids typical clichés and delivers nuanced, believable, and deeply relatable characters. Each episode invites the viewer to dive into the protagonists’ psyche, experiencing their doubts, hopes, and pain.

Namgoong Min delivers a masterful performance, expressing with controlled intensity Lee Je-ha’s vulnerability and inner strength. His portrayal is both subtle and powerful, giving authentic depth to a character seeking redemption. Jeon Yeo-bin, on the other hand, brings a heartbreaking sincerity to Lee Da-eum, a woman whose physical fragility contrasts with an unwavering will to live fully. Their on-screen chemistry is palpable, making every interaction touching and memorable.

The direction adopts a contemplative and poetic style, offering carefully composed shots that enhance the intimate atmosphere of the series. The sometimes slow pace is an artistic choice that allows full immersion into the characters’ emotional worlds.

Another highlight of *Our Movie* is its soundtrack, understated yet highly effective. The music accompanies scenes with remarkable delicacy—sometimes melancholic, sometimes hopeful. The score plays a key role in the overall mood, supporting the dramatic intensity without ever overshadowing the story. Instrumental pieces blend seamlessly with the narrative, amplifying emotions without distracting the viewer.

Ultimately, *Our Movie* is much more than a drama about illness or filmmaking. It is a profound meditation on human resilience, the healing power of art, and the desire to leave a lasting mark. The series also emphasizes the importance of emotional connections, compassion, and hope even in the darkest moments.

Too good it hurts (literally)

This K-drama is genuinely so beautiful. The way it’s filmed, the aesthetic, the storytelling, everything feels intentional and artistic without being too much. I love how the chemistry between the leads feels super natural. Nothing is forced and you can actually feel what the characters are going through.

The pacing is slow in a really good way. It gives the story time to breathe and gives you space to connect. Each episode leaves you with that feeling of “I need next week to come faster.” Visually it’s stunning and honestly one of the prettiest dramas I’ve ever watched. The style just pulls you in immediately.

The acting is on another level. Two of my favorite actors together and they absolutely deliver 10/10. I really hope they get cast in a cheesy rom-com someday because their chemistry deserves that kind of light too.

Definitely one of the most special ones I’ve seen. A true mellow masterpiece. I really loved it.

If you like romance dramas with power imbalance in a profressional setting where a much older director falls for a younger, inexperienced female lead of his movie just like Nam Koongmin did in real life with his wife, then go for it. The villains are all forced to be bad and vicious against the pure virginal but overly optimistic dying protagonist. The male lead is a stoic man child who is the stereotypical tortured artist who can't move on from childhood trauma. Everything is forced and artificial with dialogue that doesn't come from real people. It even forces you to hate the second female lead and invalidates her feelings as she was once the younger, inexperienced actress who was rejected by the male lead who just can't love. The drama is just as inauthentic as Namkoong Min's forced lovestagrams with Jeon Yeobeen which is disgraceful as a married man. Jeon Yeobeen is one of the most overhyped and overrated Korean actresses in recent years who is simply not female lead material much less the lead in a melodrama who is supposed to have only months to live.

Even if you already know how it ends, please watch it.

I appreciate that this drama didn’t shy away from a difficult ending. A lot of dramas cop out with a miracle treatment or leave things open ended because they themselves are afraid to confront an ending that isn’t all sunshine and roses. But when a story leaves things as they are, it has twice the impact. I liked that they showed how it’s not about how long your life is, it’s about what you choose to do with it and who you choose to be.

NgM is a phenomenal actor, especially in how he portrayed grief, it was so visceral. And yes, she died, but I don’t think of this as a sad story at all. I think it would’ve been sad if she had never met LJH or fallen in love, or if she’d never taken the chance to chase her dream, because LDE would’ve been left with regret and a sense of unfulfillment.

Even though their time together was short, she completely changed LJH and brought light into his life. She may not be here earth-side, but she’s still present. I loved how they included little flashbacks of her after she’d gone, it showed that even when people die, their loved ones are the ones who keep them alive in memory.

The cinematography was also amazing. The switch from LJH's imagination to reality in a theater full of people with the one empty seat beside him was so incredibly beautiful. Like I don't think I've ever been caught off guard like that before watching anything but that really got me.

Overall, I'd give this a 9.5/10. It's not about the destination, but the journey getting there.

this show is for people with big dreams

from the very start of the show and actually from the synopsis itself, you can already tell how the story will end. it’s predictable but that’s what i liked about it. Our Movie is not just about the tragic romance of loving a sick person you know you’ll spend little time with. it goes deeper than that. it shows the depth of love, passion, and dreams. lee daeum is someone who wants to live her dream of being an actress to the fullest, even if it means risking her limited time in life. meanwhile, lee jeha is someone who was in a slump but eventually found his way back to his passion of directing films thanks to his mom’s legacy.

they met and used each other for their own dreams and passion. eventually they fell inlove. they know it won’t last, but the courage of loving someone even if you already know how it will end is already a strong foundation of why we still risk it. because it is love.

lee daeum is someone who shines so bright and gives love to everyone around her. that’s why when she died, it was something bittersweet–not totally tragic, because she left a legacy for the people around her. her passion, her love, and her dreams… it’s there, even after she’s long gone. and still, life goes on.

this kdrama is a must-watch. for the cinema lovers, for the people with big dreams, for the ones who are struggling to find a will to live, for the people who feel stuck in life - you need to watch this. definitely one of the best melodramas i’ve watched. and of course, thanks to amazing talent & chemistry of nam goongmin and jeon yeobeen, i knew this show would be one for the books.

Such a beautiful and well-told story

Our Movie is a drama about love, family, friendship, the beauty of life, and understanding. It's a love story of two people whose lives aren't perfect but who are there for each other. It's a story of trying to let go, even though it hurts. And it's a story of falling in love.

Our Movie is a drama that shows not all dramas or movies need to have a villain. Sometimes, it could be about a misunderstanding and finally coming to understand and make amends. It could also be about being selfish and not letting someone go because you will get hurt, even though holding onto the person hurts them personally. Then, finally coming to understand how that person feels, realizing how selfish you have been, and also trying to understand yourself, even though it hurts.

Be prepared for tears but it’s worth it

Namkoong Min is one of my favorites, and he didn’t disappoint. The way this drama was written and filmed was like the movie in the show. I think this was Jeon Yeo Been’s best. So much feeling throughout. The supporting cast was also great, but for the first time, I really liked Seo Hyeon Woo. That scene in Ep 11 with the arrogant $$ guy was sooo good I had to watch it a couple times. Spoiler: I thought I’d need a final dying scene, but I’m glad it ended the way it did. I don’t think I could watch the whole show again and feel the same way. Bravo!!!
