Even if you already know how it ends, please watch it.
I appreciate that this drama didn’t shy away from a difficult ending. A lot of dramas cop out with a miracle treatment or leave things open ended because they themselves are afraid to confront an ending that isn’t all sunshine and roses. But when a story leaves things as they are, it has twice the impact. I liked that they showed how it’s not about how long your life is, it’s about what you choose to do with it and who you choose to be.NgM is a phenomenal actor, especially in how he portrayed grief, it was so visceral. And yes, she died, but I don’t think of this as a sad story at all. I think it would’ve been sad if she had never met LJH or fallen in love, or if she’d never taken the chance to chase her dream, because LDE would’ve been left with regret and a sense of unfulfillment.
Even though their time together was short, she completely changed LJH and brought light into his life. She may not be here earth-side, but she’s still present. I loved how they included little flashbacks of her after she’d gone, it showed that even when people die, their loved ones are the ones who keep them alive in memory.
The cinematography was also amazing. The switch from LJH's imagination to reality in a theater full of people with the one empty seat beside him was so incredibly beautiful. Like I don't think I've ever been caught off guard like that before watching anything but that really got me.
Overall, I'd give this a 9.5/10. It's not about the destination, but the journey getting there.

Prepare for the emotional rollercoaster ride
This was one series I hadn’t really planned on watching. Honestly, I wasn’t in the mood for a melodrama—but thanks to Sam Ock’s “Piece of Me,” I ended up giving it a chance. I kept replaying that song for days, and every time I watched the scenes in the music video, I felt this familiar sense of melodrama I grew up with. The yearning between the leads, the quiet acceptance from the female lead knowing she didn’t have much time left, if you grew up on 90s and early 2000s K-dramas, you know exactly the type. Back then, we often joke that it wasn’t a kdrama unless the female lead had terminal cancer or some tragic illness. Maybe it was the cold weather or the craving for nostalgia, but because of all that, I finally decided to start this series. I even read the summary beforehand just to make sure it was something I could emotionally handle.I’m familiar with Namkoong Min and his work, so I knew what to expect from him as an actor. But Jeon Yeo-been was practically a blank slate for me, I’ve only seen her in one project, and no, it wasn’t Vincenzo but A Time Called You. I barely remember her from that series, which says more about my memory than her acting. So I was genuinely excited to see her here. My family adores her in Vincenzo and constantly tells me what a great actress she is, so I was curious to experience that for myself.
The drama begins with the familiar setup: the female lead is dying from an illness, while the male lead is a director who has stepped away from filmmaking for his own personal reasons. Oddly enough, I enjoyed how their encounters unfolded, it felt like little breadcrumbs dropped here and there, the quiet storytelling, and the directing choices that pulled me in. This series really kept my attention. I felt the butterflies, the flutters, and the wave of emotions you expect from a melodrama. I even teared up a few times. The longing and yearning between the two leads felt so real and so tangible.
I don’t know much about filmmaking, but I loved how the characters discussed each scene, making even small moments feel meaningful. It made me appreciate the details so much more. And one thing I really enjoyed about this version of a melodrama is its pacing. It’s steady—not so slow that my attention wanders. I grew up on slow-burn 90s melodramas, and while they were beautiful, they often dragged scenes out in a way that doesn’t work for me anymore. This series, however, balanced everything well. The “imagination” sequences were especially captivating—the black-and-white scenes, the moments where the characters saw themselves as the roles they were portraying, or as the versions of each other that existed only in their minds.
And the ending. I loved the symbolism of the cherry blossom petal drifting and touching every member of the production crew after she was gone. It was such a quiet, emotional way to say goodbye.
This is a series I know I’ll be thinking about for a long time. It’s been a while since I’ve committed to a melodrama, and because of how beautifully this one was executed, I’m giving it a pretty high score: 8.5/10. I definitely recommend rewatching it for the details—it’s such a thoughtful piece of work, filled with layers of filming, acting, and insight into the production world.
I honestly have to thank Sam Ock’s “Piece of Me.” Because of that music video, I gave this series a chance, and I don’t regret spending the last two days watching it.
Below are some quotes I loved:
“So tell me, how long do you think you have left?”
Her reverse-UNO moment completely caught me off guard, and I loved it.
“How long do I need to live?”
This line hit me so hard. Instead of dwelling on the negative or the inevitable, she reframed it with such hope—as if asking, How long should I strive to live meaningfully? That moment alone convinced me to stay with the series.
“everyone, you think you have a lot of days to live? You think you’ll live forever? You think you’ll stay healthy until you’re 40,70,80, and even 100 right? But life works in mysterious ways! You always forget, don’t you? but I never forgot! I’ve been preparing for this since I was eight years old, so every second of every minute is so precious and valuable to me that they’re all masterpieces! All the moments you just let slip away are like romance or fantasy films to me! But you’ll keep on living without knowing that! You idiots!”

A Melo Masterpiece!
Jeon yeo is back with another tearjerker. Her last drama time called you still remains underrated. This airing drama is definitely a masterpiece. I've never watched a drama with Namkoong Min as the lead and I was taken by surprise of how well his character fit him. Perfect casting of the male leads fills my heart with pure bliss.A true melodrama indeed. The whole drama is perfect it's a slow paced drama. Her passion to become an actress, Her positive attitude and personality is refreshingly fun to watch.
Even though Je ha knows that Da eum won't live for long the way he looks at her not with pity but with love melts my heart. Every episode Da-eum's honest way of living really fascinates me. Even though the ending might be bittersweet these episodes before the ending are what that makes it count.
To me this drama is a representation of pure love. A must-watch for sure!
EDIT: the last episode was so damn beautiful. though Da-eum died, everyone still keeps her in their hearts. the whole episode had me in tears. To me, this drama is an example of a perfect ending.

this show is for people with big dreams
from the very start of the show and actually from the synopsis itself, you can already tell how the story will end. it’s predictable but that’s what i liked about it. Our Movie is not just about the tragic romance of loving a sick person you know you’ll spend little time with. it goes deeper than that. it shows the depth of love, passion, and dreams. lee daeum is someone who wants to live her dream of being an actress to the fullest, even if it means risking her limited time in life. meanwhile, lee jeha is someone who was in a slump but eventually found his way back to his passion of directing films thanks to his mom’s legacy.they met and used each other for their own dreams and passion. eventually they fell inlove. they know it won’t last, but the courage of loving someone even if you already know how it will end is already a strong foundation of why we still risk it. because it is love.
lee daeum is someone who shines so bright and gives love to everyone around her. that’s why when she died, it was something bittersweet–not totally tragic, because she left a legacy for the people around her. her passion, her love, and her dreams… it’s there, even after she’s long gone. and still, life goes on.
this kdrama is a must-watch. for the cinema lovers, for the people with big dreams, for the ones who are struggling to find a will to live, for the people who feel stuck in life - you need to watch this. definitely one of the best melodramas i’ve watched. and of course, thanks to amazing talent & chemistry of nam goongmin and jeon yeobeen, i knew this show would be one for the books.

Such a beautiful and well-told story
Our Movie is a drama about love, family, friendship, the beauty of life, and understanding. It's a love story of two people whose lives aren't perfect but who are there for each other. It's a story of trying to let go, even though it hurts. And it's a story of falling in love. Our Movie is a drama that shows not all dramas or movies need to have a villain. Sometimes, it could be about a misunderstanding and finally coming to understand and make amends. It could also be about being selfish and not letting someone go because you will get hurt, even though holding onto the person hurts them personally. Then, finally coming to understand how that person feels, realizing how selfish you have been, and also trying to understand yourself, even though it hurts.

Be prepared for tears but it’s worth it
Namkoong Min is one of my favorites, and he didn’t disappoint. The way this drama was written and filmed was like the movie in the show. I think this was Jeon Yeo Been’s best. So much feeling throughout. The supporting cast was also great, but for the first time, I really liked Seo Hyeon Woo. That scene in Ep 11 with the arrogant $$ guy was sooo good I had to watch it a couple times. Spoiler: I thought I’d need a final dying scene, but I’m glad it ended the way it did. I don’t think I could watch the whole show again and feel the same way. Bravo!!!Was this review helpful to you?

One of the best shows of 2025!!
I personally applaud the screenwriters, actors , directors, cinematographer and in general the whole crew for carefully creating such a beautiful show both aesthetically and emotionally . It has such a lasting effect on the viewer and really left me speechless.I believe the whole premise of the show is such an uncomfortable reality for many people yet it covered the harsh truth of it in such a sensitive and warming way that it really changed my perspective. One moment that stuck with me particularly, was when Lee Je ha and Lee Da eum were discussing the ending of love in white and Da eum tells Je ha that she wants to change the ending to one where she does die, to show that love doesn't disappear after death. Eventually they do change the ending to that, to me personally that felt more comforting. Rather than avoiding the inevitable, embracing it and not letting go of the feeling of love we have for them after they die is what keeps them alive in us.
Further more the acting was phenomenal not only did Nam Koong Min and Jeon Yeo been play their role well, they fully immersed themselves into the characters where I even began to forget the fact they were actors and not Lee je ha and Lee da eum, a director and a terminally ill actress. The supporting cast also did impeccable they did not lack in one aspect, everyone aced their role and the emotions relayed felt so raw and real specifically Oh kyung Hwa (Da-eums childhood friend), Kwon Hae hyo(Da-eums dad), Seo hyeon-woo (producer), Park eun woo(Da-eums college "friend") Moon so ri (Da eum's mother), Lee sang hee(Je-ha's mother), Do yu jin(younger Kim Jin-yeo) they all added some much depth to their characters and as a viewer i really have to appreciate their effort. Even the ones I wasn't able to name still really put their all into this show and it's very noticeable!
Thank you :)
*I'd advise everyone to watch it as its so genuine and human that you can't help but be moved to tears.
*The reason the rewatch value rating is slightly lower is because it's a drama that stays it's a comforting show but it wouldn't have the same experience if you rewatched it.

A Heartfelt Journey of Love and Courage: Why Our Movie Is a K-Drama Worth Watching
This drama really touches you straight from the heart. It’s been so long since I was truly invested in watching K-dramas, but Our Movie really captured my attention. Some people find this series slow-paced—well, it is a melodrama after all. But trust me, it’s all worth it.Also, I just really want to say—the chemistry between the leads is chef’s kiss! The subtle looks and smiles they share, their long conversations, and the way they treat each other with so much care really warm my heart. It’s the kind of love we all deserve.
The ending might be painful and bittersweet, but having the courage to love despite uncertainty definitely makes this drama one for the books.

A show we can come back to in order to feel alive.
Only half the show has aired as of yet, but it is definitely among those that will retain in our memories for a long time. I started watching it because both my favorite actors were cast as the main leads, and I’m only in awe of the show ever since. It has been labelled as a melodrama but also feels like a slice of life at times, and I’m not complaining.
Daeum is a character which also reminds most of us who feel numb inside that it is a beautiful thing to be alive. She isn’t only affecting Jeha in that way, but also all the viewers. Jeha, on the other hand, has built strong boundaries around himself for most part of his life, and the character has been portrayed brilliantly by Namkoong Min. So far we’ve seen that his love language is acts of service towards Daeum. But I’m extremely excited to see him express his love verbally to her.
Let us see how the story unfolds and how their story moves us. It is everything I’d expected from these two brilliant actors coming together. Again, this already feels like a show we can always come back to at any point of time.

This drama is Honest.
The perfect portrayal of love & Grief, really beautiful.Everything is on point as it quietly stands out alone.
It Felt so accurately through the emotions of terminal illness, but more than that. Like the director, producer, cast & crew were in sync with those feelings, exactly what they were portraying, some kind of greater knowing.
That last episode could have ended at so many points, just like life, love, death, grief. I haven’t seen a better ending honestly. That’s what this drama is honest.

Love is irrational. So be it
Long story short, just watch it. This is so gut wrenching love story but also yes so realistic. We humans are messy but thats what makes us so special. Like Je Ha fondly loving Daeum on her final days.
When this type of love would occurs on our lifetime?
Once? Twice? I have no idea. But "Our Movie" has taught us to be present
