Decent with the typical clichés
The story was simple, but only the hunt for the "store" left a lot to be desired. It's not really clear what the hunt was for... Otherwise it was a more light-weighted series with some serious undertones and some silly clichés...Chemistry and acting was more than decent and it was quite fun to watch, but nothing earthshattering. I have not much more to say because it did not leave that much of an impression. It's a decent show, but nothing more. So if you like something to turn your brain off, this will fit nicely.

Romance blew the mission and the logic !
The premise of this drama involved secret agents, shady odd jobs and conflicting loyalties when tested. Initially, I thought this would be one of those spy series where the hunter falls for the prey. But this was an unapologetically sappy love story wrapped in a slightly unhinged espionage plot. I was expecting "mission impossible" vibes but make it a BL, but what I got was "mission emotionally compromised".The above is not technically a complaint because the drama made it clear in episode 1 what it wanted to be.
Our leads Da Hei and Xiao Bai come from two very different worlds and are forced to live together. Da Hei is our neighbourhood hire with a tragic backstory where he is collecting funds for his little sister's treatment.
Xiao Bai comes from a long line of secret agents (family business if you may xD) where expressing emotions is a crime, and he is sent here to spy and report on Da Hei.
But what happens when you put two handsome boys together? We all know the answer!
The romance between them was the highlight for me. They had this awkward adorable chemistry that builds with every episode. There is something very genuine between them that made me actually enjoy this even though the plot seemed to be a bit logically weak.
Coming to the whole spy plot, it was barely convincing. There was no structure or realism. Surveillance tactics were very questionable and it looked more like a dramatic group chat project rather than an investigation by an "intelligence company". It was more of follow your heart and wing it!
I stopped expecting logic from the drama and it made me actually enjoy this but the number of plot holes was amusing at times.
The side characters felt mostly like props to the central romance. I found their presence more situational than essential. Some are tossed in for comedy, some for a little backstory but none of them felt fully emotionally cohesive to the plot.
The acting was decent from both leads and their chemistry was believable. The rest of the cast also did well considering how little they had to offer. The production doesn't look cheap but again could have done more on the spy side to make it more believable.
Overall, this was fun but a mess. Recommended if you don't mind a romcom flimsily disguised as a spy drama and are willing to suspend disbelief and logic while watching.

sweet MLs with nonsense plot elements
Overall: the two leads gave me fuzzy feelings, but there was a lot of nonsense plot stuff. 12 episodes about 23 minutes each. Aired on GagaOOLala (Americas, Europe, Middle East, Australia, New Zealand, India, Southeast Asia) https://www.gagaoolala.com/en/videos/5191/fight-for-you-2025-e01 ; Viki https://www.viki.com/tv/41043c-fight-for-you ; iQIYI https://www.iq.com/album/fight-for-you-2025-1cgc4effwtd?lang=en_us ; Heavenly (South Korea)Content Warnings: manipulation, violence, past deaths
Watch Suggestions starting at ep 8 (to reduce angst/annoying stuff)
- episode 8 watch 3:30-6:05
- skip episode 9
- episode 10 watch 22:30-end
- episode 11 watch beginning to 5:30 and 22:15-end
- watch all of episode 12
What I Liked
- visuals/intimacy with the MLs
- cameo of Eternal Butler actors
- easy to understand premise
- caring/sweet moments
- clear communication in ep 7
- the grandma
- finale was pretty good though the sister stuff shouldn't have been resolved off screen
Room For Improvement
- starting the episodes with talking to the camera
- was initially confused because I thought they were friends in episode 1 only to learn that they just met each other
- unclear flashback in the middle of episode 1
- noble idiot trope
- the side couple had barely any screen time until the finale
- nonsense stuff like: sent the least capable person on a difficult job, a character with a major injury quickly left the hospital and was walking around at home, lying and then quickly telling the truth

From Missions to Makeouts – Fight For You is Fire ?
Just finished all 12 episodes and I really enjoyed it! This series blends action, undercover tension, and steamy romance so well 😍Andy & Nelson’s chemistry is off the charts 💯🔥 From fake boyfriends to real love, their progression felt natural and intense. There were plenty of kisses and love-making scenes—and let me just say, they did not hold back 💋🛏️ Their connection was magnetic every time they were on screen.
🖤 The plot itself is quite intriguing: a mysterious house that takes on any job (yes, even illegal ones 👀), a secret agent hidden in plain sight, and two men slowly falling for each other while questioning their paths.
⚠️ Room for improvement:
I expected more fight scenes, especially with such a gritty setup 🥷
The second couple had potential and some cute moments, but really needed more screen time and depth 😕
Overall, this was an intense, sexy, and emotional ride. Would totally recommend for BL fans who love undercover plots, fake relationship tropes, and lots of skinship ❤️🔥

IT'S OKAY BUT...
Fight for You has a pretty simple storyline, but the plot is decent overall. I did find the first five episodes a bit slow, there wasn’t much going on at first. I thought it might be like HIStory3: Trapped. The spy and mobster angle here felt kind of shallow since the focus leaned more on romance than action.I have mixed feelings about it. I usually prefer more action, but the story still managed to keep me entertained.
Now, the chemistry between the leads? Top tier. And the kisses, beautifully done.
Did I enjoy the series? Kind of, but not fully. If you’re into rom-coms and want something light without emotional drama, this one might be right up your alley.

Laughs, Blushes, and Cliché – This Show Has It All!
Everybody, go watch it! I'm sure you’ll smile as wide as me with every episode. This is not your "masterpiece" kind of story—it’s simple, and that’s what makes it unique. Everybody can easily follow the story and connect with the characters. It’s so cute to watch! I lost count of how many times I blushed just watching them interact.I know that scenes like barging into the bathroom or accidentally falling into each other wouldn’t happen in real life. But I still hope for these cliché moments again and again because their chemistry makes even familiar scenes feel fresh and exciting.
The leads are so beautiful to look at too. And the No-Sir and Xiao Bai interactions are fun! Xiao Bai (MC) is absolutely hilarious, and I have no idea how he ended up becoming a detective. He’s probably the clumsiest one ever—anybody can tell that except Da Hei (ML). Maybe Da Hei never caught him only because he’s so innocent that he believes whatever people tell him. This is such a fun ride, guys!
I also love the relationships between all the characters—Da Hei, his grandma, his sister, and Dou. They all have such a lovable aura. And I have to ask—how can a grown-up like Da Hei be this scared of a cockroach? Thanks to that, our protective angel Xiao Bai can use it against him all the time!
Anyway, fun ride, guys. Not so complex if we skip the investigation part, but still enjoyable. They were meant to be together 😁

Ridiculously good to watch with little to no expectation of high, emotionally traumatizing stakes
The headline said it all. No kidding. I loved watching Fight For You because, right from the get-go, the story did not intend to dive into the shady underworld business to keep us on the edge of our seats. I was seated for the main couple, and later episodes featured me sitting for the second couple as well. Hei and Bai rocked my world in the silliest of ways. Their chemistry is everything my eyes crave. When they both cried, my tears filled buckets. Meanwhile, Bu Xing and Zhou Guo had me thanking the writers for dessert. My heart is full. But I will keep coming back to savor the fun, lovable moments shared between Hei and Bai. Argh. I wanted to see their wedding. I guess I'll just imagine it to be black and white. LOL.Was this review helpful to you?

Fighting is okay
It's just okay. The plot was fanciful. The actors were competent. Grandma was a surprise but somehow expected given how everything was going. Personally, I would have preferred the cop with the criminal but the other option wasn't bad either. Possibly the cop and criminal love story might have been a better watch. The mls in the last episode were way too sweet and by this time, I was rushing for the end.The production was okay. The script somewhere between 'are they for real and yup it is what it is'. Don't go in thinking high drama, tension and realism. Keep your expectations at slight rom-com sprinkled with a decent dose of fantasy. With that mix, you will not be disappointed.
It was not a bad watch, but it could have been better. I've said it before, Taiwan needs to step up. After a hard day and a gentle unwind is needed, go watch.

Amazing chemistry!
Let's be clear, this is not an action drama or even a cop drama. You're definitely in the wrong place if you're lookinf for that sort of action. However, this had a solid plot and electrifying chemistry. Is the mission non-sensical? Yes. But the show made it clear that this whole mission was a ruse for Bu Xing and Dou Ke Yi to stay in each other's lives anyways, by pretending to be in this never-ending cat and mouse game just because they can't be together but can't forget each other. It's not really logic defying to me since I've never taken the police or any law enforcement organization seriously anyways. The plot isn't new - it uses romcom cliches, has a predictable plot, and world building is not a main focus. However the reason this series still works wonders are the actors and how they managed to make basic characters interesting due to great acting (huge shoutout to Nelson Ji) and incredible chemistry between the two male leads. I have to admit, the show was at its best during the first three quarter and the last quarter was a letdown, but even at its worst the leads pulled an outstanding performance and keeps me very much drawn to the series.
High rewatch value for me - this is a very easy watch and the actors are very solid!

Sweet, Silly and a lot of fun
Okay, I guess I needed this Taiwan piece of loving. improbable fluff this weekend. It was so honest in what it is and unapologetic. Succumbed fairly quickly to it's charms. Let your brain go and let your heart open and just enjoy the ride. I am still smiling an hour after finishing watching it. oops just got told my review is too short. Couple is sweet and attracive, Grandma is a hoot and don't make any assumptions. Things change. Was this review helpful to you?

If silly.. also cute..?
I was floored the minute I realized the best excuse the super secret spy was going to come up with all series was "cockroach!"But the best part? The guy he was trying to fool fell for it EVERY SINGLE TIME
There's no other way to put this, I love this series.
The plot is one of silliest, nonsensical and unserious one I've ever seen but every single time the two leads came onto screen I had forgotten all about the plot that never existed because, my goodness, are they wonderfully cute together.
The story is utter nonsense yeah - one guy is a secret spy investigating the other guy, and pretty much everyone but the guy being investigated knows that he's been spied on because the spy? He's not very good!
Between all this they somehow develop a fake relationship amongst a story riddled with plotholes.. but forget all that.
Don't dwell on the story when you watch. Ignore all your instincts that point out all the silly mistakes (there are so many).
And focus on Da Hei and Xiao Bai.
They are it. The chemistry is so off the charts that I willingly ignored every other aspect of the series and just giggled through it all.
The way their relationship started.. absolute nonsense. The way it progressed according to the plot, also nonsense but gaah! They were just so cute together.
This review makes it seem like this series is just a silly plot and an insane amount of chemistry.. and it is. That's all it is.
All the stuff involving the service house, the second couple(?), the investigation agency, the grandpa and the grandma, I cannot explain the extent of silly even if I tried.
But I also cannot explain just how good the romance was, you just have to see it to understand.
So a series about a spy and a hitman falling in love set against an action backdrop? Not really
A series about a fake spy and a supposed hitman who is scared of cockroaches falling in love and having the best chemistry? Yes, yes, YES!!

Not So Good, Not So Bad!!
Once I completed this series, I asked myself what was the premise of this series? And I honestly could not figure one out. It is your standard formulaic BL, full of tropes, cliches, customary setups, and unremarkable contrived crisis. But through at least some portions of this series, I found myself being avidly entertained chiefly because of the charming effect of the two main leads. The remainder, however, not so much because it was your standard flat setup. The whole concept is absurd, really. If anyone seriously thought that the audience was going to believe that Xiao Bai (Nelson Ji) was some type of operative for an intelligence agency has been reading too many spy comic books. He simply never fit the part. And if you further expected the audience to believe that the focus of his attention was observing Da Hei (Andy Ko) supposedly engaging in dastardly and clandestine activities, well, you have been smoking something that perhaps you should not be partaking in.
