interesting but the ending could have been better
overall this show is not bad, it reminds me of "to sir ,with love" but i loved "to sir, with love" much more.first of all Sasin is a bit too hot headed, the type of guy who jump to conclusions very quick, doesnt listen to your explanation, say some nasty things but later apologize after calming down and he has a kind heart, if that happen 10000 times thats how it is. he is the type of guy full of passion but has an aggressive attitude in the same time, not necessary something bad but feel frustating at times and a bit too much, then later i go back to liking him..
while Saenkaew is the cute type, pretty and has his own trauma.
in this series there's way too much evil characters which made me want to skip their parts, almost everyone is bad, only very few people are likable, i find it a bit much depressing esp in the latest episodes ,so this might be why i didnt enjoy it as much as i wanted, when i watched to sir with love smh i didnt feel this way.
then there is the ending, not every character need to have a redemption arc, i find both the father and Pin so unlikeable , i coudnt go back to liking Pin after what she did in ep 11 or have sympathy, like my sympathy to her kind of vanished at that ep i was rather much frustrated by her behaviors....
so in general this is a good show to watch, i just wished that few things happened differently

WHAT A FIND….LOVED IT!
Just love it when the drama you find to watch when waiting for the next episode of your fave drama ends up being such a surprise. The BL story is a bit different from the norm and has some characters and situations not expected. MLs were so good together and bride was just perfect for her role. Only character I wasn’t i to that much was grandmother. Since this is a drama from Thailand was surprised father and others were having a hard time accepting BL love. Hope I find another drama to surprise me like this one.Was this review helpful to you?
A great series.
“Love in the Moonlight” is undoubtedly one of the best Boys Love (BL) series I have ever watched. From start to finish, this series captivated me with its compelling story, rich emotions, and unforgettable characters. What truly sets it apart is the way it skillfully evokes a wide range of feelings—making me cry, feel sad, get angry, and also experience moments of pure happiness. It is rare to find a BL series that can take the audience through such an emotional rollercoaster in such a genuine and heartfelt manner. One of the biggest strengths of the series is its remarkable cast. Peak, Pearl, and Perth each delivered outstanding performances that brought their characters to life with depth and authenticity. Peak’s nuanced portrayal reflected a complex mix of vulnerability and strength, making the character relatable and deeply engaging. Pearl brought charisma and emotional intensity to their role, which made every scene they were in truly memorable. Perth’s performance added a layer of charm and subtlety that enriched the overall story. The chemistry between the actors was palpable and significantly contributed to the emotional impact of the series.
The storyline itself was thoughtfully crafted, with moments of tension, drama, and romance balanced perfectly to keep me hooked throughout the entire series. The pacing was just right, allowing enough time for character development and meaningful interactions without dragging on unnecessarily. Beyond the romance, the series also touched on themes of identity, acceptance, and personal growth, making it more than just a typical love story.
Overall, “Love in the Moonlight” is a truly special BL series that deserves all the praise it receives. I am grateful to have experienced its emotional depth, memorable performances, and compelling narrative. I sincerely hope to see another great BL series featuring Peak and Pearl in the future, as their talents brought so much life to this story. If you are a BL fan or someone new to the genre, this series is an absolute must-watch.

Love in the Moonlight: A standout in the world of BL lakorns.
"Love in the Moonlight" kept me captivated from beginning to end. Every episode was both engaging and entertaining. I usually find myself fast-forwarding through scenes in Thai BLs, but this one held my full attention the entire time. The story explores themes of arranged marriage and family obligation. Both Saenkaew and Pin find themselves in the same predicament: forced into marriage to protect their families’ status. While their prior acquaintance offers some comfort, their situation is complicated by Saenkaew’s sexuality and Pin’s unrequited love for him. The dynamic becomes even more complex with the arrival of Sasin, Pin’s cousin, whose initial skepticism gives way to an unexpected attraction to Saenkaew.
While the plot isn’t entirely original, it’s far from predictable. The storytelling is engaging and well-paced, unfolding in a way that feels natural and emotionally grounded. Each episode builds momentum, keeping the audience fully invested from start to finish. By the time the story reaches its halfway point, you can’t help but wonder if the characters actually get their happy ending, or are they destined for heartbreak?
The cast honestly did such a great job bringing these characters to life. Perth completely nailed it as Pin. You’ll start out feeling sorry for her and rooting for her, but by the end, you might find yourself yelling at the screen because of her choices. That just shows how believable she was. Peak and Pearl were both incredible as Sasin and Saenkaew. Their chemistry was so natural, and their performances made me giddy, cry, and feel everything in between. The supporting cast also did really well, especially the actor who played Saenkaew’s father who really stood out with such a powerful performance.
Although the main OST was slightly overused, it remained beautiful and memorable, helping the series stand out in a unique way. The songs performed by Sasin’s band were equally captivating and perfectly in tune with the show’s nostalgic atmosphere. I actually caught myself searching online to find and replay them after each episode. Act Chockchai’s voice, in particular, deserves special mention; it’s rich and soulful, perfectly matching the tone and era in which the story is set. One memorable moment for me was his performance of “Buppesaniwat” in episode 2 (if I recall correctly)--a song that beautifully captured both the mood of the scene and the series.
The drama is absolutely gorgeous to look at. Everything. From the clothes and hairstyles to the cars, houses, and even the color palette, all perfectly captures the 1960s vibe. It really feels like stepping back in time.
Without a doubt, this is my favorite Thai BL series to date. It left such a lasting impression on me that I’d give anything to relive the emotions I felt watching it for the first time--the excitement, the heartbreak, and the quiet beauty of its storytelling.

This was an amazing series I absolutely couldn’t wait for each week!! This is a must watch!! The Series did an amazing job of taking you back to the 1960s and I absolutely fell in love with the main and also the support characters. One of best Thai bl series in 2025!!
I absolutely love this series, I had no clue about this series until the day it came out, I knew I was going to enjoy bc I love the ‘old’ drama type. The actors are amazing!! Their chemistry is on the next level and they do so well with portraying their feelings and emotions and that goes with the other actors and actresses also!! This is definitely one of my top favorite shows this year and probably of all time!!Was this review helpful to you?
Slowburn, Intense Chemistry and Story That Keeps You at the Edge of Your Seat
Okay listen, I have nothing but good things to say about this BL!As someone who’s a big fan of Lakorns, this right here? ANOTHER AMAZING LAKORN from one31. They just don’t miss!
And yes, I’ll say it proudly… I like generic tropes. If you watch enough Lakorns, you already know how these stories usually go. It’s predictable, it’s dramatic, it’s emotional, and honestly? That’s exactly why I love it. This “cliché” setup? I’ll eat it up every single time. I never get tired of it.
Also, if you’re like me and you prefer seeing actual feelings develop — like slow-burn, real chemistry — and not just random NC scenes thrown in every episode… this one’s for you. The pacing is chef’s kiss; it builds so naturally, and every episode just makes you want to watch the next.
I binged all eight episodes in one sitting (no regrets) and I’m saving the last four to binge together again. So if you’re not watching yet, I’ll assume you’re just letting it marinate too, so you can watch it all at once like me…
Honestly, it’s such a beautiful story; to say i’m obsessed would be an understatement cos I AM OBSESSED.
Definitely on my Best BLs of 2025 list already!

Make sure to have box of tissues next to you..cuz you are gonna SHED tears like crazy.
I’m absolutely awestruck. I didn’t even imagine i could ever possibly find a BL series this FINE!! Goshhh..i don’t even know where to start from. The acting..the casting..the music..the dialogues..the aesthetics..the direction..everything was unexceptionally incredible. I’m genuinely at short of words right now. I’m beyond happy that Sasin and Saenkaew got their happy ending. Their struggles, fights and fear show how hard was it for people back then just to express themselves freely. Love in the moonlight isn’t just an ordinary series..it shows us the real power of love. Another thing it tells us is how selfish is the world around us and is filled with snakes pretending to be humans like Pin’s dad, Prince Kamfah, Inthon, Kalong. It also teaches how important family support is. If Saenkaew’s father would’ve supported him and accepted him..then maybe Saenkaew, Sasin and Pin won’t have to go through all that pain. Only if he would’ve listened to him and his plan..everything could’ve so much easier. Sometimes elders NEED to listen to younger ones.But..at last all i want to say is that I miss them already😭😭😭😭. I need a special episode of how they lived their lives after that. And if not that..then another series of PearlPeak would work🤭 but this time don’t make my dear Peak cry in every DAMN episode for god sake. He has the prettiest smile. Also Phi Pearl..i’m soooo proud of you🥹 watching your journey from Laws of attraction to Love in the Moonlight. I feel like a part of me has grown successful.

I was hoping for more
edit: Later episodes did get a little better. You saw the heartbreak coming from a mile away, but it still kicked you in the feels. I will say I appreciated the ending with his father. They didn’t just gloss over everything and forget (I hate when they do that.) That part was very real. Loss, regret, and a relationships that would take work to mend- I liked that.….
I really wanted to like this one more. The two male leads are great, and that’s the only reason I’m still watching. The ml’s struggle to find his own happiness and protect his family is endearing. He handles this role well and convincingly. I really do feel for him. Meanwhile, it’s near impossible to not fall in love with the 2nd ml. Strong, gorgeous, gentle, caring- he’s got it all.
But the rest of the show fell flat around them. The forced marriage is cliche. The inept and evil uncle, the cruel military leader, the clueless fl, the heartless father… all of it could have been copied from a textbook. There is no depth to the characters at all. The grandmother’s slow speech and pace seems very forced.
The story drags. By the end of episode 6 almost nothing has happened. No kiss, very few deep conversations, nothing that will keep you in suspense. The evil uncle tries to sabotage the wedding a few times. The dad yells at the kid a few times, the general makes threats a few times… The argument with one of them hiding under the bed was moving. But there’s not a lot of meat to the plot. I will admit this could be impacted by just having finished Shine, which was about the same time period but much more intense.
The leads are enough to keep me watching, but I find myself fast forwarding quite a bit. So… love the leads, but was hoping for better for the rest of the show. I’ll look forward to their next projects.

what a boring waste of time
was excited by the other reviews. So I watched. Instead I found bad lakorn writing, directing, stand and deliver stuff with stiff postures with pretty boys but stupid acting. So over the top boring. Subtle like a box of rocks. I mean really. The woman playing Pin was the only good actor in it. Really why do folks like this kind of stuff where there are so many good BL series out there? Was this review helpful to you?

hmmmmm
So I honestly loved it TILL I noticed that the plot was heading in another direction. I get it series are supposed to be in planet utopia and some things shouldnt be over thought.HOWEVER who the hell would give up ancestry levels of wealth for love (it is a cautionary tale, statistically people who give up so much for love live to regret it)
Not to mention all the MC knows is a life softenend by the comfort of money, ohhh the stack contrast when reality hits lol. So when I saw the plot heading there, I was just getting angry and angry, I had to drop.
Maybe cause I'm filling in my job applications so I'm in a realistic mood BUT even if you are to sell me a pipe line of rose tinted love, try to be as grounded as possible. I just couldn't keep on watching without raising my blood pressure.
MC is a naive boy.
keep in mind I dropped at ep 6
