Definitely worth watching.
I really enjoyed The Art of Sarah. The acting was so good, especially Shin Hye-sun. She played her role perfectly.. smart, calm, and always one step ahead. I loved how her character managed to con rich people so smoothly. It was exciting to watch. I also liked how the drama showed rich people going crazy over overpriced branded bags and luxury items. It felt realistic and kind of funny, but also showed how obsessed people can be with status and image. Overall, it was fun, intense, and really well acted. Was this review helpful to you?

10/10 thriller
alot of people might find this drama really confusing but if you see it properly, everything does make sense. i loved the storyline, acting and the plot twists. shin hye sun did a great job as sarah kim in my opinion. and in the last episode, they did reveal it that shin hye sun was the real sarah kim and not kim mi jeong. if you look at her while she changed into her jail uniform, you will be able to see s stitch mark which proves that she donated her kidney as kim eun jae i.e she is the real sarah kim. the director did a great job.Was this review helpful to you?
Sarah's Spellbinding Con: Illusion Perfected – 10/10
The Art of Sarah is a riveting Netflix K-drama masterpiece, deserving a perfect 10/10 for its sleek con-artist thrills and razor-sharp social commentary. It follows Sarah—a brilliant chameleon who cons her way into high society with wit, glamour, and unshakeable nerve. As a murder investigation closes in, her web of lies unravels in delicious, twisty fashion, questioning: if fakes fool the elite, are they truly fake?Shin Hye-sun absolutely slays as Sarah, delivering a career-best performance. She nails the duality—fierce confidence masking deep vulnerability, every glance and gesture dripping with manipulative charm. Her electric chemistry with Lee Jun-hyuk's steely investigator fuels non-stop tension, making their cat-and-mouse chase utterly addictive.
The story pace is flawless: brisk, binge-worthy momentum from episode one, with razor-sharp twists, zero filler, and cliffhangers that hook you hard. Glossy cinematography—opulent mansions, couture fashion, shadowy intrigue—amplifies the illusion theme without overwhelming the plot. It skewers society's status obsession brilliantly, all in a tight package. If you love smart cons and powerhouse acting, this is essential viewing—polished, provocative, and pure escapism.

Quick and intriguing
A quick thriller show.I really like how the story was told. It kept me on the edge of my seat i could not stop myself from clicking 'next episode'.
The unreliable narrator aspect was well done and the quick thinking by the lead at the end was smart.
The show does not answer the question about who Sarah Kim is cause this show is not about that, it's about how one becomes Sarah Kim

A Fun Time with Shin Hae Sun
Really compelling story about the multiple faces of our Sarah Kim. It’s interesting to think about how many different kinds of “us” there are. I honestly found myself rooting for Sarah quite a bit and a little annoyed at the judgement from Mu Gyeong. Part of the reason Sarah existed is due to the unfair practices the pushed her into a 500k debt. The samwol store that makes their employees pay for lost merchandise and yet won’t even allow them an accessible place for the bathroom. The illegal loan sharks that forced a signature for more money. Even so, she saved the man whose business pushed her farther into debt. Sarah isn’t perfect but I felt I could still appreciate her sheer ingenuity and tenacity to survive. Also, I don’t think it’s a scam to create a luxury brand because that’s literally what they all do. Poetic, really, at the end that the while Mu gyeong held contempt of Sarah for her lies, he also gave him to reach his own ambitions. I think once Sarah is released, she’ll rise again though and i’d love to see it.Was this review helpful to you?
Who are we? Are we who we believe ourselves to be, or who others see us as?
If you need one reason to watch this drama, it’s Shin Hae Sun. She is unbelievably good in every role she plays. Even when the script is lacking (which unfortunately happens more and more these days), her characters are always interesting and unique. She takes on challenging roles and delivers them brilliantly. This is no exception. The story is quite intriguing. It’s not perfect, and at times it may feel confusing. But… it’s entertaining and good enough for binge-watching. You can’t really complain about the concept or the acting. However, the execution isn’t without flaws. Is it worth giving this drama a chance? If you have time, the answer is yes. If your schedule is tight - maybe not.
There are many things that simply don’t make sense. That can definitely be off-putting. I was aware of it the entire time I was watching, but I decided to ignore it. It was entertaining enough for me. If you can do the same, you’ll probably enjoy it too.
The biggest issue lies in the high-fashion world portrayed in the drama. Too many elements lack logic. I think the screenwriter either did it intentionally for the sake of the story and chose to overlook realism, or didn’t do enough research. And if it’s the latter, that’s even more disappointing, especially considering how much information is easily accessible online.
However, the strongest point of this story is its portrayal of people. It paints a picture of society that, in my opinion, is far from optimistic - it may even feel quite sad. But it is necessary and important. This society is hungry and full of ambition. Desire can only grow, never diminish. People want more, but often not for themselves, rather for appearances. In such world, does anyone still live for themselves, or only for how others perceive them?
Moreover, some doors can never be crossed, no matter how hard you work or how much you sacrifice. Some things are simply beyond our reach. When the boy says he does something simply because it’s “fun”, it hits you how much you had to sacrifice, how much you had to risk, while for him it was just an adventure - possible only because of his status.
It certainly isn’t an uplifting story, but it does make you think. It’s not worth living for others , it’s worth living for yourself. And happiness has to be found within. Otherwise, the unfulfilled hunger for ambition will only continue to grow. And happiness will never come.

This drama is indeed a piece of art
Well, as the title itself suggests, this story is about a woman, most well known as Sarah Kim and how she has managed to create everything (her persona(s), a very bougie brand and very convincing stories/lies) from nothing in her very own way, which definitely can be described as art.The more you try to dig into her story and past, the more you realize that you know nothing about Sarah Kim. The detective (ML) found that out the hard way!
The story was captivating. It left the viewer questioning everything and everyone every single episode. But towards the very end everything finally started to connect, we finally got the full story of how FL managed to fool us and all the people in the drama. It was genius.
It's worth noting that we actually never find out who she really is or why she doesn't have an identity, but honestly, while it initially left me confused, it didn't take away the charm of this drama for me. I was instead so taken aback by how smart the FL is, how she managed to manipulate so many people at once and used them at perfect times.
Shin Hye Sun once again absolutely killed her role :)

The Art of the Twist
I had incredibly high expectations for The Art of Sarah even before it premiered, and it still managed to go beyond my imagination. The production quality is elite, and the cast is absolutely over-the-top—Shin Hye-sun and Lee Joon-hyuk have incredible chemistry. While there was about an episode in the middle that felt a bit slow/boring, the show keeps you hooked until the very last second. The plot twists were absolutely mind-blowing and kept me questioning everything. If you like psychological thrillers with crazy reveals, this is a must-watch!

Dorama confuso
