Not my cup of tea...
I don't like the mixture between comedy and drama... either do comedy or do drama but not both of them. The abusive use of the accociated soundeffects did not make it better. While Huey, Dewey and Louie are mostly fun, the hysterical girl was annoying as hell. I guess it's a trademark for BLs to have to include an annoying girl/woman in every production and that is so cliché and should not happen in 2025. But what they did again was lazy writing, because the three boys get lost im the end and did not get involved in anything... even the boy/girl-love story is left unexplored. So the pacing of the whole series is choppy at best. The actors did a good job, even when I don't feel the main couple. I don't know what it is, both are for sure nice persons and in their way cute/handsome, but together they don't give me a spark.
So all in all a typical BL which did nothing new, played it mostly safe, had of course stereotypical baddies. Also the "ex" was an asshole but everyone forgave him in an instant, not very realistic in my book. For me, not even a medicore show, while some comedy was ok, the storyline was flat and didn't get me emotionally for most of the time. You may watch it and like it, but I did not.
As usual a "cut" version gets a 0.5 de-rating, because they may also cut important story elements, because in this series there a no NC scenes worth cutting...

Romance was the cameo in this romcom!
The drama had all the perfect ingredients fora sweet love story with enemies x lovers trope, but dragged on with 72 extra and totally unnecessary plotlines , making romance scarce. The plots centers around Yotin, a spoiled city kid exiled to the countryside for some good old-fashioned character development and Jom, the responsible village chief appointed to babysit him.
Now, If I am being honest, I probably would have rated this higher if it hadn’t been sold as a romcom. This was more about Yo’s growth than anything else. His slow (and I mean slooow) journey from spoiled city menace to someone who finally gets that actions have consequences. And yeah, seeing that shift was enjoyable but that didn't come without a price. While everything worked for his journey, it definitely made the “rom” part of romcom feel like an afterthought.
The romance finally showed up but it was fashionably late (almost like it forgot it was invited). But when it appeared, it was gentle and adorable. Yo’s effort to show how much he cared about Jom felt genuine and their little honeymoon phase was really cute… just wish it had happened like a few episodes earlier. While their bond does develop over time but for the most part, it felt more like mentorship than romance. Still, there was an underlying tenderness in how they navigated their connection.
Now coming to what actually didn't work for me was the number of detours the drama took from romance. Almost every single side character had a story line with no major payoff. Most of it felt like background noise. They had a bit of everything from drug busts, mysterious exes, feuding uncles, that one female character who can't a hint, secret family drama, high school crushes, you name it, they threw it in. And while some of it was mildly interesting, most of it honestly didn’t serve the main couple’s arc at all. Like, I was here for the soft, slow-burn romance between Yo and Jom and their romance felt sidelined amidst all this.
Also the run time of the episodes bothered me. One of them was almost 2 hours. I guess if the writers trimmed down the filler, this could have been a standout. Maybe I am not acquainted with this particular style of storytelling.
Comedy was also more of a hit and miss for me.
Acting wise, both the leads did a good job. I hope to see them in better projects.
The cinematography was also pretty decent with all those beautiful country side setting shots.
Overall, this was decent, one time watch feel-good show with a wholesome vibe.
Would I recommend this? Hmm… if you are in the mood for a very slow burn, don’t mind a plot sprinkled with cliches and happen to have a whole lot of time (and patience) on your hands then sure. It’s not groundbreaking, but it is cozy.

Too many side plots sidelined the leads from their own story
This is a story of a spoiled brat sent to a rural place to finish his schooling and a village chief who takes the responsibility of taking care of him. The story took a turn when our spoiled brat Yothin realized his stay in that rural place might change his whole perspective on life.✔ Likes:
• At first, I was really skeptical about Yothin's character. His arrogance pissed me off. But as time went by, I didn't realize how I fell in love with his character. He's that selfless, honest guy who would fight for you if you showed him some respect. We could literally see him grow from a immature, stubborn, impulsive character to a responsible, caring and thoughtful adult. His character growth was phenomenal!
• The three musketeers bros were hilarious. Whenever they were on-screen, I couldn't help but laugh at their antics. They surely were my favorite part of the show.
• The grandma was the sanest person in this series. She was caring and loving but was a really short-tempered person who'd make you chuckle.
• Yo's bonding with his new school friends. At first, they fought a lot, but soon they realized their mistakes and made pacts of their own.
• Unlike any other Thai BLs, they didn't rush the romantic relationship. They really took their time to realize, verbalize and express their true feelings to each other. The way they took care of their age gap because it was natural for them to slowly open up to each other rather than jump into relationships. They beautifully portrayed Jom's maturity and Yothin's spontaneous behavior and how they connected with each other regardless of their age, growth and goal differences. It was refreshing to see two people just bonding and building a relationship bit by bit from scratch. Saint and Poom's chemistry was awesome, and it's one of the reasons I stayed till the end.
• If I don't mention this I'd regret it, i.e. THE CINEMATOGRAPHY! It was stunning. The main reason for this series is the lush green landscapes, paddy fields, beautiful lotus pond shots...just a feast for the eyes. LOVED THE CAMERA WORK!
✘ Dislikes:
• The storyline was full of chaos. Every little character had their own stories to tell, to the extent that it was really hard to keep up with them all. This was a sweet lakorn style BL which had its own charm but somehow unnecessary side storylines didn't give me the expected spotlight to our MLs. It felt like they were side characters in their own storyline. Still, I really enjoyed their storyline. It was a fun watch.
• I found myself skipping the uncle's and noisy Earn's parts. They were sooo annoying to watch, especially Earn. Her high-pitched voice and childish behavior annoyed me the whole time.
• Last but not the latest, it's about our own ML Jom. I know he was supposed to play a mature, respected character, but here he's just 25 years old, but Saint acted like he's someone in his 40s. His know-it-all, I-know-the-best attitude in the whole series bothered me. When Yothin showed signs of liking Jom, he was there just staring deep into his eyes, touching him and then acting like nothing had happened. No one could've guessed that he liked Yo, until Yo expressed his feelings. So it felt a bit weird to me. They could've shown them exploring their relationship more rather than rushing in the end.
Overall, it was a good watch but nothing great. Watch it for the MLs.

My Sweetheart Jom – Final Thoughts ?
My Sweetheart Jom has finally come to an end, and honestly, it was such a sweet ride. This drama is the definition of a slow, gentle love story — the kind that makes you smile without even realizing it. It's soft, comforting, and full of heart. There's no real reason to cry in this series, and that’s part of what makes it special. It gives you peace, not pain.Jom is one of the kindest characters I’ve ever seen. He’s so good-hearted that he never even does anything wrong. He just wants everyone around him to be okay. The way he chose to stay in the village and take care of everything really shows how much he loves helping people — it’s not a burden to him; it’s just who he is. And honestly, that level of care is beautiful.
Now Yo… 😅 Yo is a whole character. He’s a bit of a troublemaker, super active, and way too fast for everyone around him. For someone his age, he’s very chaotic — but in a lovable way. What surprised me the most is how well he fits with Jom. I never expected it, but somehow they just work.
What I appreciate about Yo is that he doesn’t hide his feelings. The moment he realized he had feelings for Jom, he said it — no dragging things out, no pretending. That made everything easier and more real. They care for each other deeply and understand each other without needing to force it. No insecurity, no harshness — just a slow, sincere connection.
And let’s not ignore the comedy! This show is like 80% fun and light-hearted. I found myself smiling and laughing through most episodes. It’s that kind of cheesy, cozy drama that you just enjoy. Honestly, I’d love to watch it all over again — this time even slower, just to feel every moment.
So yeah… My Sweetheart Jom is one of those dramas that makes your heart soft. If you’re looking for a cute, peaceful BL that’s full of love and comfort, this is the one. Jom and Yo will have you giggling and saying “aww” the whole time. Loved it 🫶

that first NC scene..
okay, so I will admit I was on the fence about this. it’s kinda a hard sell to go from guardian/father figure to romance. I questioned if they were going to be able to do it so I actually read the source material and I truly like the book a lothowever all of my friends that I would talk about this with I would say I don’t think this was the best series to adapt into an alive action because the romance really isn’t there not even in the book
however the Author has come out and said that they changed a lot and I am happy to report that they have
I’m actually truly enjoy enjoying this and I love seeing Saint back in a BL at first, I didn’t know if I was going to like him and poom together, but they have really grown on me
here’s the thing my sweetheart Jom isn’t out here to win awards and be the best series ever created. it is a fun romcom that is over the top ridiculous and just to feel good series
that being said, I didn’t think we were going to get any NC scenes… but color me surprised. and Saint, my guy, damn.
anyway, it’s a fun writer not to be taken very serious seriously. and I love it
I hope we get to see more of them as a CP

It’s the kind of show that leaves you smiling like a fool afterward.❤️?✨
😍I loved it so much 😍✨❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️✨
My Sweetheart Jom might begin with the familiar trope of a city brat sent to reform in the countryside—but it transforms into something richer: a story about belonging, emotional trust, and quiet love that comes from mutual respect. It doesn’t rush to love; it builds it.if you're blushing just thinking of Jom saying “You’re staying here, with me.” 😳🌿
When a mischievous city boy, Yo, is sent to the countryside as punishment, he doesn’t expect to fall for the quiet, respected village headman Jom... but fate has softer plans 🌾🍃
🛖 Vibes I loved in it 😊
Small village warmth
Soft glances & quiet understanding
Slow-burn mutual trust > instant sparks
Blushing without saying “I like you” 😳💫
💞 Why you’ll definitely love it:
Jom is the king of silent pining
Yo’s brat-to-babe transformation is adorable
Saint & Poom’s chemistry = ✨natural✨
Pastel visuals, wholesome villagers, and found-family feels 🫶
I loved ep 12 so much and thankyou for giving us 6 parts of ep 12 😭🤗❤️
Love YoJom❤️

My Sweetheart Jom – A Countryside BL Masterpiece!
Idol Factory has done it again! My Sweetheart Jom is a slow-burn, heartwarming BL that completely stole my heart over these 12 weeks. What I Loved:
🌿 From city chaos to serene countryside – after the first episode, we spend the entire series surrounded by greenery, buffaloes, and the charm of village life. It’s so refreshing to watch!
🫶 Saint as Jom – total daddy vibes! Caring, calm, and protective of the whole village. Watching him look after everyone felt like a warm hug.
😈 Yo (Poom) – adorable, mischievous, and a total brat in the best way. His chemistry with Jom is magnetic.
🔥 The slow-burn romance – no kisses until episode 10, but the build-up was so worth it. From school moments to village adventures, the tension kept me hooked.
🎶 The OST – fun, vibrant, and perfectly matched the countryside vibe.
💘 The final 3 episodes – PERFECTION. Yo’s confident confession, the dreamy lotus pond kiss, the emotional NC scene after years apart, and that final buffalo moment… my heart exploded.
This show had everything: slice-of-life warmth, village drama, beautiful romance, and stunning attention to detail. Time truly flew by, and Thursdays will feel empty without it.
⭐ 9.5/10 – A beautiful, cozy, and unforgettable BL experience.
If you love slow-burn romance with heart and soul, this is a must-watch! 🌾💖🐃

Very cute but predictable
I really don’t know how I feel about this one. It’s one of those series that left me conflicted about how to rate it. On the one hand, it’s cute and fluffy; on the other, it’s boring and a bit annoying.Deep breath
Okay. I’m not saying it was bad—it wasn’t! But it was definitely slow at times. The beginning hooked me right in, all sweet and soft, and then… it kind of wandered off. I thought it had fallen asleep. And just when I was about to give up—boom! Something happened, my heart did a little flip, and before I knew it, I was reading the novel because I had to know what happened next. (Patience? Never heard of her.)
There’s nothing too complicated or surprising—just a slow story about a boy with life problems meeting another boy with life problems, and together they slowly untangle their messes. Simple, but kind of lovely in its own way. The main characters weren’t perfect, but that’s what made them feel real. They made mistakes, they learned, and that made me root for them. It felt like a cozy Hallmark movie—cute, funny, sweet, and honestly very pretty to watch.
There were a lot of things I really liked: the characters had depth, their motivations made sense, the change of setting was refreshing, and the natural scenery was gorgeous. But I’ll be honest: if it wasn’t about Jom and Yo as a couple, I just didn’t care much. Screaming girls, two idiots trying to stir up trouble in the village, classmates fighting, family drama, annoying brothers… nope. I just wanted more of the soft moments between the leads.
And oh, Jom and Yo… they were precious. I don’t usually go for slow romances, but these two won me over. I loved that the show took its time to tell the story properly. I appreciated that it showed a lot of happiness throughout, not just in the final episode. I liked how the two of them communicated about their problems, supported each other, and stayed honest. Watching them grow closer and explore their emotions was a joy.
I laughed, I giggled, I even got a little teary. The hopeless romantic in me was living. Their chemistry was amazing—they were sweet, respectful, and mature, which made them so easy to love. Part of me wanted to give them 10 stars just for being that wholesome. I really wanted to give the whole thing 10 stars just for them. But then I remembered all the filler, and I sighed.
So yeah, overall: very cute. Not life-changing, but definitely not bad.

I’ve never written reviews before, but I decided to write one for the first time. It’s a beautiful love story of Yo and Jom. A story where two people gradually get to know each other, get used to living around one another, and start helping and trusting each other little by little. As they continue to discover more about each other, Yo and Jom realize they’re falling in love. This is a series where everything is very logical and consistent. Yes, it’s not the type of series filled with tons of kisses and sex scenes, but that’s exactly what makes it so good. It’s a show about feelings, love, family, and school. What I absolutely adore about this series is that the main characters, with their superb acting, managed to convey emotions and feelings to us—whether it’s love, sadness, joy, sorrow, or any other emotion. For me, this series is magnificent! Was this review helpful to you?

An excellent slow burn
The series hasn't even finished yet, but i have the need to review it especially because I know that the final episode won't have a "normal" air time and that the production won't rush it.I have liked the series since the first episode dropped and I have watched it every single week excitedly because there is no well written and acted slow burn bl. I have never seen one that was this well made and I do enjoy a good slow burn.
You and Jom getting together only in 10th episode makes perfect sense because Jom is hesitant to even start a relationship which comes from multiple reasons which are all very valid.
Yo feeling frustrated also makes sense because he does not know how to do a relationship since he never had a serious partner before. Yo always had issues with his temper and Jom not reciprocating his feelings and actions (especially with ex back around) feels natural for character, but i do love how we can see a character growth from him and realization of what he did wrong.
The series is not spicy, but it doesn't need to be because the chemistry and tension alone enough to make me feel all giddy about them.
There is alot left to resolve, but I do not doubt Saint and I trust him to make a very good ending to his own series.

It is age gap romantic story(but not big age gap).
Honestly I was looking forward Fridays with new episode each week. The story and side plots are not super heavy so you can relax while watching and still fallow it easily. The younger guy is going after the older one in the story so it doesn’t make you feel icky like with other age gap shows/movies. Overall it’s quite wholesome with 2 spicy scenes between 12 episodes(just in case you don’t like to watch those). I love the grandma she was very funny. I laughed quite a lot watching this show. Was this review helpful to you?

Slow burn but Satisfying
My Sweetheart Jom is such a banger romcom BL set in the charming countryside of Thailand. It’s that classic “city guy meets province guy” kind of story—and I was totally into it. The comedy, charm, and little adventures throughout the series made it so enjoyable. Saint and Poom’s chemistry isn’t instantly electric for me but it grows in a really natural way.Saint plays a very different role here compared to his past series. He used to give off a softer vibe, but this time he’s more masculine—and honestly, he nailed it. Poom was great too! I first saw him in The Sign, so it’s nice to see him take on a lead role and do it so well.
Jom’s character is very mature—he’s the village chief. He’s responsible for everyone’s well-being in the community. On the other hand, Yo is your typical Gen Z guy. He’s not really a spoiled brat, but he often talks back to his parents and somehow always ends up in sticky situations. That said, his character development is chef’s kiss. Or maybe, he was already solid from the start. He’s selfless, solution-oriented, and grows a lot throughout the series—thanks to his experiences and his parents’ advice. I also love how straightforward he is about his feelings for Jom—he knows what he wants and isn’t afraid to go for it.
Jom, meanwhile, feels like a father figure to all the boys in the house, especially Yo. He’s got that natural protector vibe, but at the same time, he can be a bit tactless and lowkey naughty—just enough to keep things interesting.
I genuinely loved every character's journey. There are plenty of events and subplots that keep the show exciting. It always leaves you wanting more with each episode. Jom and Yo’s relationship is a slow burn—but in the best way possible. They start as housemates just trying to get along, and their bond naturally deepens over time. The romance isn't rushed, and the payoff is so worth it. My only complaint? Yo’s love confession kept getting delayed! Like, every time he tried, something would interrupt, lol!
Everything about My Sweetheart Jom worked for me—the cast, the visuals, the OST (which perfectly sets the mood), and the cinematography? Absolute chef’s kiss. My only wish now is for Saint and Poom to reunite soon in another series—with a solid plot to match their talents.
