Dare You To Death Delivers a Dark and Addictive Crime BL Experience
Crime, forensics, murder cases, and police dramas have always been my obsession, so the moment this genre was combined with BL, I was already sold. Adding JoongDunk into the mix made it even better. Seeing them return on screen as police officers feels absolutely right. From villains in The Heart Killers to police heroes, the transformation is satisfying to watch. Joong and Dunk look incredibly good in their dark, understated police looks, proving that police without uniforms can be just as commanding and stylish on screen.Their initial meeting was such a fun and ironic moment, with one police officer issuing a fine to another officer. You could immediately tell that Jade, played by Joong, was experiencing love at first sight with Kamin, played by Dunk, even while handing out the fine. Honestly, it felt like he did it on purpose just to get Kamin’s licence and have an excuse to know his name and address.
We have seen JoongDunk in different genres before, and while The Heart Killers leaned into darker themes, placing them fully in a serious, crime driven story still feels like a refreshing step forward. From the very first episode, the tension pulls you in and never lets go.
The storytelling so far feels confident and well paced, with a moody atmosphere that perfectly suits the forensic and police theme. The acting is consistently strong, and the emotional weight behind each scene makes the story even more gripping.
By the final episode, Dare You To Death proves itself as a polished, intense, and thoughtfully crafted series. It delivers exactly what a crime focused BL should be, suspenseful, emotionally charged, and completely addictive.

Hey Daddy
If you are one of the Dunk haters spewing nonsense about him getting too muscular to be a bottom, seriously go eat zucchini. Dunk is looking hot and giving Daddy vibes with his face-card that absolutely never declines, and we are here for it. I'm not 100% sold on the plot, but the twist is likely going to pull it all together in the final 2 episodes. Joong as a sulky baby top is so cute I just want to eat him up. The music is banger after banger and with the additional cast of Fluke, AouBoom, and our sassy BL princess Sammy, I'm confident in recommending this one to any Thai BL lover.Was this review helpful to you?

i’ve been waiting since the teaser dropped last year and now that it’s here? i’m screaming, shaking, rewinding scenes like a maniac frr.EP1 pulled me straight into the case, the tension was THERE, and nothing felt boring for even a second. EP2?? Even worse (in a good way). The dynamics are getting spicy, the mystery is making me suspicious of everyone, and Kamin & Jade on screen together is doing something to my brain. 😭🤏

JoongDunk are the crowning glory of this series, masterfully navigating a plot filled with serial killers and police intrigue. Seeing them transition from hitmen in The Heart Killers to heroic police officers is an exquisite role reversal. I loved watching Jade (Joong) experience love at first sight with Kamin (Dunk); he tries to assert dominance by playing the "bad cop," only to be left completely floored when he realizes Kamin is actually his superior.
Their chemistry is as electric as it is dangerous. The direction brilliantly utilizes shadows to remind us that in this game, love is the ultimate risk. This series hooks you from the first episode and proves JoongDunk can handle any genre they’re given. Highly recommended.

Everything about this series just worked for me. The chemistry? Insane. The tension? Perfect. The emotional moments? They hit hard.
Joong and Dunk delivered in every single scene. The way they look at each other, the softness mixed with intensity — I felt all of it.
This wasn’t just good. It was the kind of series that becomes part of your routine, your comfort, your little weekly happiness. And now it’s over and I feel empty.

IMPOSSIBLE TO LOOK AWAY FROM
I was honestly anticipating this series for months now. So basically its a group of college kids meeting for a night of fun. One unfortunately passed away that night. It might have been because of substance abuse, malice, or may even be a normal death.So in came Inspector Kamin. Recently moved to Thailand from the US. He was immediately assigned to the case, where he will be in what we call a Hot-Seat, due to the popularity of some of the kids parents. Kamin is hot, very handsome, talented, strict, a rule follower, takes his work seriously and all-work no-play kind of guy.
He was partnered with Capt. Jade the complete opposite of him. Jade takes life as it goes, easy going, very friendly with lots of contacts both internal and outside the station. He is very fun and doesn't believe in taking work home once a day is done. He's also very good at his work though it may not seems like it due to his cheeky character. Jade will be Kamin's No.1 subordinate.
Though the two met in an unfortunate circumstance. Jade definitely took a liking to Kamin (we saw it on his not so subtle facial change, lol.) With his brother involved as a suspect, Jade and Kamin must work together to find out what those kids are hiding and perhaps prevent other 'incidents'.
The contrast between Jade N Kamin's personalities, has created scenarios that are both amusing and emotionally engaging. DYTD highlighted a mix of high-stakes action and romantic banter. The allure of easy money and the blurring lines between law enforcement and criminality.
DYTD deeply entrenched in the drug trade for personal gain, blackmail or power. The powerful duo, JadeKamin, has to navigate through all these in order to protect their own and solve the case, whilst staying true to themselves.
DYTD is very important to Joong and Dunk + their friends. The casts has done a lot of workshops, worked very late in the night and came back again first thing in the morning. Dealing with exams and other events at the same time must not have been easy. The dialogues throughout the series is seen to be very hard especially for Dunk Natachai. Yet they surprised me by delivering beautifully.
I wish them luck in their new series and wish for many people to come and support these young people. Give Dare You To Death a chance.

Un thrillerino pulito
Un thrillerino pulito come la GMMTV li sa fare. Nel senso che con queste storie un po' dark almeno a livello di trama la GMMTV si sa destreggiare, poi Joong e Dunk sanno il fatto loro, hanno una bella chimica e il loro perché. Devo dire che le critiche cho ho visto muovere spesso a questa serie è che il regista abbia spesso non usato la chimica dei JD. E su questo ho due commenti. Al netto di tutto questa dovrebbe essere una serie thriller, quindi ci sta che la parte romance sia ridotta e ridimensionata nell'amount di roba NC che ci viene presentata. Al netto di tutto però è anche vero che un pelino potevano osare di più. Non mi è dispiaciuta nemmeno il cameo di AouBoom, che devo dire hanno fatto anche loro la loro figura. Detto ciò, passiamo al ruolo più bello di tutti, almeno per me. Quello di Sing, perché ho una crush colossale per lui e anche perché essendo un attore di sostanza, ha un suo perché di esistere. Devo ammettere che avevo capito intorno alla quinta puntata che lui interpretasse il colpevole e anche che *SPOILER ALERT* il personaggio di Phan fosse viva, ma questo si riduce semplicemente al fatto che io ami alla follia i thriller, quindi mi pareva molto chiamata come cosa. Una cosa che invece sarò sincera mi ha un pelo intedetta è la velocità con cui hanno risolto la questione. Anche se è stata costruita beme avrei preferito magari una puntata in più con loro felici e contenti e un più lungo sviluppo del finale in questione. Detto ciò si vede in fretta e secondo ha un suo perché fare un binge watch di questa serie in modo da non avere interruzioni settimanali.Overall un'ottima prova attoriale ad opera di tutti gli attori.

Amazing
I give this a 10/10, if they do a second season I would be happy. One of the best series I’ve ever watched. I also kind of like the doctor and Puifai together, they were cute in a disgusting way. Jade and Kamin is adorable and I loved the Kamin called Jade his “MJ” like Dunk calls Joong his “MJ”. The proposal screams so them, it was funny and very cute the way they did it. Joong and Dunk did an amazing job yet again and I can’t wait to see what they have planned next. This will definitely be on my rewatch.Was this review helpful to you?
Best work from joongdunk
It is absolute cinema with suspense and romance. I wish joong and dunk achieve more milestone in future and get the recognition they deserve. Do watch DYTD it is amazing and refreshing. Finally, I was waiting for this series to air from past 1 year. Love the acting and visual of the cast, everything is good and must watch. The chemistry is amazing!
Overall was nice to watch and i love the chemistry and how the relationship develops. With proper space and the love at first sight + dedication was obvious. The interactions are adorable too . No super obscene scenes from the main characters but is sweet till u go crazy. The visuals were crazy and i love the sulky part and also seeing how the characters change n improve.The storyline is interesting and things come together quite nicely. Plot twist was quite amazing yet also predictable but the intensity was real.
Personally not a fan of the ost , which is usually helps to build the vibes and moods but i guess it is a police investigation death show so maybe not applicable.... but they have nice voices
Definitely will rewatch again , highly recommended

Great mystery, decent BL
I had a lot of fun watching this weekly and theorising on who the killer might be with my friends. I was really satisfied with the conclusion to the case, I feel it was well written and well acted. I do wish that the secondary characters at the police precinct had been given more light of day, especially in the final episode it felt really lacking, but the main characters all had satisfying moments.As for the romance part, I felt it started off really well, dipped greatly in quality around episode 7, and then kinda just became ok by the end. When it came to the romance parts, the characters often didn't act like themselves in order to be cute or loveable. It honestly was just juvenile at times. This is just a symptom of GMMTV's main audience being teenage girls, I suppose, and it really showed here unfortunately. That being said, the actors have great chemistry and I enjoyed watching them work as a team.
I would watch this again, and I would also show it to others and watch them try to solve the mystery themselves. I would definitely recommend this show, even if for the mystery alone, but the romance has its merits too.

a case full of twists and turns!
It's definitely worth watching.The story is well-structured and makes you wonder who the culprit might be. I think the only problem with the series was the ending; I found it rushed, when throughout the series they were slow but in the right way.
There's nothing to say about the acting; JoongDunk did a great job, very talented, and the music was quite beautiful and catchy. The only reason I wouldn't watch it again now is because I just finished it and I already know how it ends.
But I definitely recommend watching it!
