There were definitely some moments I wish had been handled differently, but the story of a rookie actor falling for a veteran was compelling enough to keep me coming back episode after episode. At times, it felt like I was watching a stage play.
The supporting cast delivered an excellent performance, with Euro Waratthip Kittiphaisan standing out as Naru. I have a feeling he’s going to drive Johnny crazy with his rebellious streak in the upcoming seasons. Definitely worth checking out.

Perfect and fulfilling
The acting and chemistry of the characters are outstanding. They totally convey the feeling of the story. The storyline is also up to par and does not have any dull moments.- I also loved comedy moments and the deep feelings that are portrayed
- does gives you many other reasons to keep on watching, except the eye candy. Although the looks are also great.
One of the best bl made to date

Breathtaking and lingering
Although it is an adaptation it managed to give us something unique and long-lasting.Reasons:
- great acting
- tension, heartbreak, romance, strong personalities, moral messages, laughter, EMOTIONS, TEARS and HEALING
I knew the series was good even before actually watching it because I saw some snippets of it at the very beginning when it started airing. However, I'm not the type of person who can watch series one episode at a time so I decided to wait and try not to see some big spoilers whilst following airing schedule. I didn't expect anything breathtaking but I was curious nonetheless so I gave it a shot. It turned out I was the one getting shot straight to the heart by the series. Getting attached to this extent and bawling my eyes out at 4-5am over certain scenes caught me off guard even though I'm an emotional and hypersensitive person, which only speaks volumes of how great the series turned out to be. I knew I would probably like it, but to love it this much and ranking it as my number 1 BL is pleasant and long-overdue breath of fresh air which was more than worth the wait.

Chemistry + Metalanguage + Honey
Top Form is a series that begins with a clever and captivating concept. Right from the start, the audience is drawn into a world where the main characters are actors playing roles within other shows — a playful and creative use of metanarrative that sets the tone for what’s to come. One of the most fascinating aspects is how the show takes us behind the scenes of television production. Even if it’s not entirely realistic, it’s incredibly interesting to watch how these dynamics are portrayed.
The performances are a true highlight. The actors deliver emotional, nuanced portrayals that bring the story to life. The opening scenes, in which they act within fictional shows, are especially delightful — a refreshing layer of storytelling.
The conflicts that unfold throughout the series are also well-crafted and mirror situations we often see in the media. The relationship between the protagonists is portrayed with intensity and tenderness, making it heartwarming to watch their bond grow stronger over time.
A standout supporting character makes a striking entrance and leaves a lasting impression. I found myself wanting more scenes between him and another character introduced later — they had the potential to become a compelling couple in a possible second season.
One curious detail was that Akin, at some point, refers to his partner as both “Jun” and “Jin.” I wasn’t sure if that was related to the show they acted in together, but it felt a bit confusing.
I really enjoyed the inspiration drawn from The Untamed — the costumes were stunning, and the actors looked incredible.
I did find the ending of the series a bit underwhelming.
Overall, Top Form is an excellent series. It fully deserves the praise it has received. The cinematography is beautiful, the script is engaging and well-structured, and the cast is strong. I truly loved it. I was charmed by this couple and sincerely hope to see more series featuring this ship.

Watch this drama right now you won't regret that is why i won't give spoilers
Honestly i watched a lot of bl dramas and there were really good ones too. But this drama is another thing. It is amazing . Normally when i watch dramas i will skip somee scenes because i got bored. But Top Form omg i couldn't take my eyes off the screne so that i won't miss even a second. Actors did really a good job. Dramatic scenes were so well done. It did made me cry a lot. The way Boom portrayed Akin and Smart with Jin was captivating. I know i might be biased over this how i can't stop watching it cause it the best bl show i've seen lately. We reallyy needed something like this. And Boss, our director did really good too even though it was his first work. I want to thank all the actors and others for creating this masterpiece. I won'ever forget this.SmartBoom ❤️Auralis
(Sorry if i made mistakes eng is not my first language and there is a lot more i want to say but let's stop here right)

Captivating
This series had me crying, laughing and in suspense as to what would happen next. It was not drawn out or overly dramatic. To see actors acting while acting within the series was seamlessly done, it did not feel forced. Well done! I loved it I hope to see TOP FORM 2 soon. I have no doubt it would be another banger :)Was this review helpful to you?
Near-Perfect Storytelling and Chemistry
I never give 10/10 but honestly this is as close as it gets to perfection in a series in my opinion. Everything from the script, the acting, the chemistry and the rewatch value. All the characters carried within their plotlines and everyone showed their acting chops. Special focus on Boom who with his emotional acting made me so invested. Smart portrayed his character amazingly as well.
All I can hope for is that they produce all 3 seasons because I will be both seated and glued for it all. Please please please.

Missed it as soon as it ended
The story was kind of rare to see in thai bls. Their acting was INCREDIBLE specially when it came to where they had to portray their love and they did it perfectly so connection on point. I CANNOT BEGIN TO TALK ABT THE OSTS. I loved them all. They were all in different languages specially english but some were different. My fovarite one for sure was "Infatuated" by Rangga Jones. I think that's my favorite because even when I heard it before I would vibe to it because of how good it is, but when they had their breakup scene (i dont remember the ep😭) I kinda cried and then they played that song. I had to stop the show for a sec just to add the song to my playlist. IT WAS BEAUTIFUL. Also I avsolutely love that they changed certain things from the manga/anime (iykyk) it just made the story 100x better because I would've absolutely flipped if they added THOSE scenes. Was this review helpful to you?

TOP FORM IS JUST TOP FORM...
I WOULD LIKE TO FIRST MENTION I AM NOT A BL FAN . HONESTY SPEAKING WHENEVER I WATCHED A BL SERIES SEEING THEM KISSING WOULD MAKE ME WANT TO THROW UP BECAUSE IN OUR SOCIETY MOST OF THE PEOPLE SEE GAY PEOPLE WITH BAD THOUGHTS . SO , AT FIRST I DECIDED NOT TO WATCH IT . BUT, ACCIDENTLY BROWSING I FOUND IT'S TRAILER WATCHING IT KIND OF GENERATED CUROSITY IN ME , SO I STARTED WATCHING IT RELUCTANTLY. BUT NOW I AM COMPLETY OBSESSED BY IT ,THAT IT MADE ME WRITE FIRST REVIEW OF MY LIFE.HERE ARE FIEW THING THAT MADE ME FALL FOR THIS SERIES:
1. AKIN'S DEEP PASSION FOR PERFECTION IN HIS WORK AND JINS UNDYING LOVE AND SUPPORT FOR AKIN REGARDLESS OF CIRCUMSTANTES, EVEN IF SOMETIMES THEY BROKE UP IT MADE THIER RELATIONSHIP MORE ROBUST.
2. AKIN'S FORGIVENESS AND GENTLE ATTITUDE TOWARDS OTHERS.
3.AKIN'S GRANDMA'S DEEP BELIEF IN AKINTHAT BOUGHT HIM TO SUCH HIGHT.
4. SERIES WAS PRECISE AND TO THE POINT.
5.EVERY EMOTION CONVEYED IN THE BEST POSSIBLE WAY.

Masterclass in adaptation!
Wow, this series had me absolutely floored from the start. I have seen the animated series a while ago, and remembered it being quite toxic and non-consensual in parts. I will need to rewatch to see if I got that wrong, because the live action is the absolute opposite of that. It is sweet, passionate and loving. The actor's chemistry is out of this world. The cinematography is amazing. Color choices, lighting, angles... everything top tier. The choice to cast Smart (Don't Say No) and Boom (Chains Of Heart) together is nothing short of genius. These two have the best chemistry in a first cooperation that i've ever seen. It's a treat to watch. Apart they stand out in acting skills as well. They totally embraced their characters and they paly their roles as if they have done them for decades. They never outshine eachother though, they leave enough room for the other to shine, while supporting their performance.
The story has stayed intact for the most part. I did miss some scenes, like the parked car conversations and the anxiety on award-night, and some of the side characters were given a smaller part than they had in the anime, but i'm hoping this will be corrected in S2. There's even talk of an S3 now, but let's see it that will happen. The BL world is very dynamic after all.
My guess is that this show has set a new standard and raised the bar for anime adaptations and even for BL in itself. A true masterpiece!
