ATTRACTIVE PAIR
Forget the review. I'm just gonna say SmartBoom is a visual POWERHOUSE of a pairing. Oh my gosh. I found myself replaying every close-up scene just to watch their eyes. Literally.Aside from the visual suckerpunch, Top Form is a really great watch—especially if you're a fan of Lovely Writer and 25:00 in Akasaka. It's an industry look at the world of acting, for both budding and experienced actors. It's a versatile show that touches on mental health, SA, stalking, love/learning to love, miscommunication, discovering self worth, grief, homophobia and more. I will definitely say, if you're looking for a lighthearted drama, this ain't for you. It's heavy and really tugs at your heartstrings although there are a few goofy moments. But it's so worth a watch.

Bite Mark on My Hippocampus
Top Form The Series is one of those rare adaptations that doesn’t just work, it lingers. I went in expecting a straight-laced romantic drama and came out genuinely gasping. The performances left a permanent bite mark on my hippocampus, and honestly? No regrets. The writing keeps the romance grounded and organic, never forced, and at times it feels less like watching characters and more like watching real people fall in love. A huge part of that is Boom Raveewit Jirapongkanon as Akin- a performance so controlled, vulnerable, and devastatingly good that Episode 7 (Bite Marks) now lives rent-free in my head. I also want to give credit where it’s very much due; Smart Chisanupong Paungmanee did a solid job as Jin, especially considering this was his first lead role. There are moments where the difference in experience shows, but that’s only if I’m really nitpicking. Overall, his performance felt sincere and committed, and I genuinely appreciated the effort he brought to the role. Most importantly, he never left me blatantly wanting more, which for a first-time lead, is no small achievement at all.
Story wise I cannot fault the screenwriters and only commend them for adapting the source material as best as they could. The manga is....wild...to put it mildly, and the team did do a really good job at adapting it for the screen. I especially loved how the screenwriters deepened Akin’s arc by expanding on his relationship with his grandmother and portraying her as his inspiration, his best friend, his North Star. I also think it's endlessly adorable to see him, a grown-ass man- THE Akin, write letters to his grandmother telling her about the love he has found. It's showing us that he was always mush on the inside, just industry hardened around the edges.
What he writes to her still echoes within me:
“I’ve just realised that when we feel so much for someone, it makes our life so complicated… it’s uncontrollable and confusing.”
It’s such a mature, honest take on finding love later in life and it hits hard because it’s true. Jin's absolute devotion leads him to come into his own. You can see that the Akin you began the story with is not the exact one you end up with. Jin's unwavering love lets you see a part of Akin even he didn't know existed and we're left with the sense that all we need is to be understood and accepted, insecurities and all.
Overall, this is an exceptional series: believable chemistry, emotionally coherent character arcs, and performances firing on all cylinders. One of the best watches I’ve had in recent years.
Boom really is in his Top Form; and yes, I fully agree with him when he said: “I’m sorry but I ate Takato up.”
Don't miss this absolute gem of a series.
Boom Raveewit Jirapongkanon is a GIFT to this craft.

The Most Scintillating Remake in Recent Times!
When you sacrifice your ambitions and goals to pin your hopes on the love of your life! When I sat down to write this review, words failed me. I couldn’t comprehend how I should describe this life changing experience; because IT IS!!
There have been clandestine remakes and adaptations in the recent times; some praiseworthy, others not so much. Because crafting a remake of something that is remarkably well-made and popular isn’t easy. That’s where creativity comes into existence and “Top Form The Series” is a fine example of one such carefully constructed masterpiece. The allure that binds to the Japanese anime adaptation is unexplainable; to remake something that is comparable to its beauty is commendable. But what truly sets this remake apart is the casting. Adapted from the Japanese manga “Dakaichi: I’m Being Harassed by the Sexiest Man of the Year” by Hashigo Sakurabi, “Top Form The Series” is a low-key, high profile adaptation of the most popular manga work in existence. When the adaptation was announced, I was skeptical. GMMTV has been purchasing Japanese originals and remaking them with a consistency that borders on mediocrity. I was afraid “Top Form The Series” would meet the same end. Fortunately, teamed with an ensemble casting that deliver and a director who knows what he is doing with the main couple, we ended with topnotch storytelling and exemplary performances that are unparalleled.

A special series, presenting a relationship in an honest and beautiful way
English is not my first language, sorry for any mistakes.I wasn't expecting this series at all, I was looking for something cute, it's a deep, special series, with a lot of complexity that the main characters work together in an amazing way. I really liked the main couple. I really liked that despite all the complex things around them, they find a way to solve them together.
Jin presents a complex character, who is looking for a way to get closer to her ideal on the one hand. But very mature on the other hand who understands the complexity of relationships.
Akin presents a more calm, self-confident character who goes through all kinds of events and actually learns to deal with unexpected things.
The chemistry between them was amazing in my opinion, I really liked the series.
I hardly felt the supporting couples, I really like supporting couples and usually their story is incomplete or unsatisfactory.
Here they were almost not there and I really liked it more, if there is no place to tell their story properly, it's better to give up.
In the end, this series got to my heart. I'm sure I'll come back to see her again.

i don’t even have a favorite character because jin and akin were both amazing in their own ways. their chemistry was insane, you could feel how much they loved and cared for each other. the acting was also so good. boom honestly shocked me with how talented he is. i didn’t know him before this, but now i won’t forget him.
the story was interesting, especially the parts that showed what happens behind the scenes in the industry. they also included the topic of saesangs, which was important, though i’m still unsure about how they handled it. it wasn’t bad, just felt like it could’ve gone deeper. the ending also felt a little rushed to me, but it still worked overall.
one thing i have to mention is the soundtrack, top tier. every single song was amazing and fit the scenes perfectly. it made the emotional moments even stronger.
in the end, i really enjoyed this show. it gave me feelings, made me care about the characters, and reminded me why i love watching bls like this. definitely recommend it!

Overall Well-Acted and Entertaining, but Doesn’t Quite Live Up to the Hype
I’m not as overwhelmingly positive as many of the other reviews here, but I still think Top Form is a good series worth watching. It deals with an important and current topic: the pressures of the entertainment industry and how little control celebrities have over their private lives. The main actors deliver strong performances, and their chemistry is one of the highlights of the series. Many emotional scenes feel real and touching. The series is generally well-produced, with high-quality visuals and a professional feel. However, the pacing is a bit uneven. Some episodes move very slowly, with scenes that feel overly stretched out, while others are packed with drama and events that happen too fast. This inconsistency makes it hard to stay fully engaged at times.
One of the biggest weaknesses is the script. Conflicts and storylines appear, build up some tension, and then disappear without being fully explored. It’s as if there wasn’t enough time to develop each plot point properly before jumping to the next. Some side characters’ actions, especially the antagonists, also lack clear motivation, which makes their role in the story confusing.
Despite these issues, Top Form remains enjoyable, especially for fans of romantic dramas. The love scenes in the uncut version —many of which are quite long and explicit—will definitely appeal to a certain audience. If that’s what you're looking for, there’s plenty of it here. The series was heavily hyped before its release, and while it has many strong moments, I don’t think it fully meets the high expectations. Still, the ending hints at a second season, and I’d be curious to see where the story goes next.

Didn't expect to be screaming throughout this wholesome serie!!
I started to watch this serie without reading the plotline nor watching any trailer. I have to say that the poster of this serie reminded me to Jack and Joker the series, and that's the reason why I decided to give it a try.At first I was disappointed as it had nothing to do with cards, games or jokers and also the acting seemed a bit forced, therefore I asked myself... Should I keep watching?
Let's say I did not regret the choice.
Episodes full of emotions where I couldn't stop crying and smiling, hating and loving and all at the same time.
Something I didn't like tho is that it felt a bit rushed at the end, and I felt as if the last two episodes were made just to fill something and make it "nice"... not gonna lie but it was a bit hard to understand the reason behind it as it was all going perfectly smooth, but anyways... all i want to say is that despite this, I would rewatch it once and again as these two actors are just amazing. I expect to see them growing in this industry as anyone can see how much they love what they do with all the emotions and feelings they put into this serie.
I can't wait for the second season!!!
I want more from JinxAkin!!!
