A Gem

Honestly, the plot was over convoluted. But it was more then made up for with the acting and the director/editor. The director/editor did their thing. So many excellent decisions were made in the making of this drama. I really want to applaud them. They did excellent. While Smart and Boom did their job holding this plot up, the director/editor nailed and bolted it to the sky. I really enjoyed it. I am glad they didn't drag out the tropes that already felt a little dragged. So far the best bl drama of 25'.

Adorable

Really loved the chemistry between Akin and Jin. Akin and Jin both looks very adorable. This is one of my favourite shows based around “love”. To me it depicts something that’s real. It’s realistic and maybe to some people that makes them sad, for me it makes me happy, even when I cried I ended up laughing with tears on my eyes. It really touched me a lot.

A rollercoaster of emotions... beautifully written !

Wow… What a way to end such an incredible BL ! I shed so many tears - tears of joy, anger, and most of all, sadness. Top Form has left a deep, lasting impact on me. I don’t think I’ll ever be the same after experiencing this story. SmartBoom delivered a performance that was raw, layered, and utterly unforgettable. A broken soul finally discovering his safe place, his home…it was powerful, painful, and beautifully real.

My poor babies went through so much. There’s so much I want to say, yet words feel almost inadequate to describe how beautifully written and directed this series is. Every emotion hit me like a wave. The chemistry between Smart and Boom was insane - so real, so natural. It felt like these two were born to play these roles together.

The cinematography completely blew me away. Every scene was crafted with such care - each frame felt like a painting. The way emotions were captured through lighting, angles, and subtle visual storytelling made every moment even more powerful. Some shots were so breathtaking, they left me speechless. (Honey scene 👀)

One of the things that struck me the most was how emotionally mature both Akin and Jin were. Their reactions, even when clashing, were always valid. (Especially the scene in the car) They had every right to feel what they felt, and instead of spiraling into miscommunication tropes, they talked. They faced hard truths. They apologized. They listened. Seeing two people not only fall in love but actively work on their love made their relationship so refreshing and genuine. It made watching them a true pleasure.

It highly appreciated how every topic was adressed. Nothing was rushed. Every conflict, every tender moment, was allowed to unfold at its own pace, which made the emotional payoff all the more powerful. Whether it was trauma, love, identity, or healing, the story never forced anything. It allowed the characters - and myself - to feel everything

Another huge strength of the show was the side couple. They were well-developed and interesting, but never overshadowed or took away from the main couple’s arc. They’ve been given something to grow, setting the stage for something meaningful in Season 2. It was a perfect balance to me : satisfying now, but still full of potential.

And the NC scenes ? They were soft, delicate, deeply intimate… even playful. But above all, they were filled with emotion. For the first time ever, an NC scene made me cry. It was so human, so vulnerable. It was more than just physical - it was pure love even with pain. It was everything.

With every episode, I found myself wondering, "How can they possibly top this?" But they did. Again and again. I fell in love over and over as the show aired. I’m not afraid to say this is THE BL of the year. No question. It’s taken the number one spot in my heart - and I’ve watched over 150 BLs, so that’s saying something.

Top Form isn’t just a series to me. It's a story that will stay with me for a very long time. 🙏🏻

Its a very interesting take on a anime turning in to live action, but I have to see it sadly did not work out for me personally. I am a big fan of the anime and I love the live action actors, but this storyline and the changes and the chemistry just did not fit for me. There were parts that felt off and unrealistic. The NC were ok, but did not feel right, some moments felt off, I am not sure if its the chemistry or writing but the leads just did not smash for me. I guess I came into this with higher desire then what I got. Sadly to be honest it was a disappointment, I am sure lots love it but I am not one. I do look forward to seeing the actors again in something that fits them better, but maybe it was the writing for it but it all felt flat and unreal in the end, not the best take on the great anime.

The enemies to lovers show I've been waiting for

So, there's only 3 episodes out right now but MY GOD this show is really promising. First of all, the cast is great. The acting is PHENOMENAL! Secondly, the chemistry between the two characters is amazing. Their tension is so thick you could cut it with a knife.

And can we just take a second to appreciate the cinematography???? Like the lighting and the angles are soooo good. Visually, it's beautiful!

These week long waits are killing me!! I just need the next episode. GO WATCH THIS!!

I think this is the best Thai BL drama of 2025 so far!

“TopForm” has aired two episodes now and I watched it on WeTV. My favorite part is the police uniform outfit, the two actors Boom and Smart have a great chemistry... I didn't expect that many iconic scenes from the original manga would be brought to life on screen. Although they might not be exactly the same for manga purists, the series has its own unique charm and is truly captivating. Trust me, it won't disappoint you.
I can't get enough of it, and the weekly episodes make my days feel like years, and it's so good that I can't help but want to finish it all in one go!Anyone who has seen it, let's discuss 👀!

"Top Form" is a Thai Boys' Love (BL) drama series that premiered on March 20, 2025, on WeTV. The series is an adaptation of the Japanese manga "Dakaichi: I'm Being Harassed by the Sexiest Man of the Year" by Hashigo Sakurabi.

The narrative centers around Akin, portrayed by Raweewit Jiraphongkanon, a seasoned actor who has held the title of "Sexiest Man of the Year" for five consecutive years. The series delves into their evolving relationship, exploring themes of rivalry, admiration, and the complexities of love within the entertainment industry. As Jin's popularity soars, a playful rivalry ensues, blending teasing with genuine interest. Top Form — When a BL Reaches Its Peak

Sometimes a BL comes out and you enjoy it. Sometimes one comes out and you binge it in a few days. And then once in a while, a series appears that reminds you why you love this genre in the first place. Top Form is exactly that kind of drama.

From the beginning, the story feels fresh even if the premise is simple. The setting inside the acting industry gives the drama a different kind of tension. Fame, rivalry, pressure from producers, expectations from fans… all of that surrounds the relationship between Akin and Jin. At first it looks like a classic competition story: the veteran actor who has been “the sexiest man of the year” for years suddenly challenged by a younger rising star. But what makes the story interesting is how that rivalry slowly transforms into admiration, attraction, and eventually something much deeper.

Boom Raveewit as Akin completely owns the screen. He plays the confident, experienced actor perfectly, but what makes his performance special is the vulnerability hidden behind that image. You can feel the pressure of fame on his shoulders. On the other side, Smart Chisanupong brings an almost innocent energy to Jin. His character starts as someone a bit lost in the industry, trying to find his place, and watching him grow emotionally through the series is one of the most satisfying parts of the story. And then there is their chemistry. Honestly, this is where Top Form becomes unforgettable. Some BL couples look good together, some feel natural, but Boom and Smart create something that feels electric on screen. Their interactions feel playful, tense, romantic, sometimes even a little dangerous. There are scenes where you barely have dialogue, just eye contact or a small gesture, and yet the emotions are completely clear.

Another thing that impressed me is how cinematic the series feels. The lighting, the framing of the scenes, even the way the actors move in certain moments makes the whole drama feel bigger than a typical BL production. It almost feels like watching a film about actors rather than just a romance story. The music also deserves praise because it actually supports the emotions of the scenes instead of overpowering them. What I loved the most is that the romance never feels forced. It develops naturally from admiration to attraction and then to love. It doesn’t try to shock the audience with unnecessary drama or exaggerated conflicts. Instead, it focuses on two characters learning to understand each other while navigating the complicated world of fame and expectations.

Final Thought

Top Form is the kind of series that shows how strong a BL can be when everything is done right: writing, acting, chemistry, and production. It feels mature, emotional, and visually polished, and the connection between the leads carries the entire story. For me, it’s one of those dramas that reminds you that BL can be more than a genre — it can simply be great storytelling. A perfect score feels completely deserved.

One of the best acting I have seen in Thai BL

Every time an emotional scene came I couldn't breath. It was as of they were taking me in into their world. The emotions were that intense. Possibly one of the best Thai BL in terms of acting, cinematography and direction. The meta acting and character changes were amazing.
The series was very much character oriented with not much going with the plot. However the chemistry and acting truly shined the most. It showed the life of an actor, the industry and what he faced. The direction was mesmerizing. It was slow paced but every moment made me stop my breathing. The cinematography was very unique, something I have never seen in Thai drama before.
Boom is a phenomenal actor. I cannot praise him enough. His acting, every emotion, every face expression, I could feel through the screen. He conveyed everything so well I felt Akin wasn't a character but a real person. Smart is so talented. I wondered what took them so long to let him shine. He truly adapted himself to Jin.
I wish there were a little more thrill apart from the thrilling NC scenes. However the show goes deeper than it seems. As an actor myself I can say this series showcased the art of acting so well.
