Pretty good overall, no problematic plots or behaviour for the most part. Music editing and choice was good but sometimes just the most unfitting music was put on a scene that cheapened the whole scene or just made it feel off. Camera work isn't anything crazy it's just good. Was a pretty good series, I like that there weren't crazy plots or the annoying miscommunication trope and them arguing and having issues every other episode. very peaceful show and loved them toogether. it was so peacfull it was odd to me almost haha im so used to over dramatic thai gls. i liked this one a lot, they have oretty good chemistry but sometimes scenes were written as f they don't know each other well or are in early stages or the way they'd talk to each other felt that way. was odd.
good show regardless, would recommend. even tho it's peaceful there is a good plot to keep you engaged, i didn't feel bored.
also wasn't expecting scenes to be mildly freaky but go off. kinda funny the shift from cute to that and back to cute.

THE ACTING, THE OUTFITS, THE SET DESIGN, THE ACTRESSES' CHEMISTRY, THE PRODUCTION VALUE, THIS WAS SO GOODcampy light-hearted fun, a wholesome romcom!! print is adorable and reyprint's relationship is super super sweet. i love that they helped each other heal one another's childhood wounds.
im in love with p'wanmai btw. maifon stole my heart.
ALSO I LOVE HOW NO ONE ON THIS SHOW IS STRAIGHT. we got 2 yuri 1 yaoi and the way all print's siblings are gay too??? honestly so iconic<333
also i have to say these are some of the best sapphic steamy scenes that ive seen.

Surprisingly Refreshing
I usually don’t bother with romcom shows because I never find the comedy aspect of them funny, but this one has pulled a few actual laughs from me. Even if most of the comedy is physical (my least favourite). If you’re interested in watching two girls slowly become friends after their souls are switched (the sort of lengths I’d go to if I wanted my arch nemesis slash crush to spend time with me), then this is the show for you. As I said, there’s a lot of comedy sprinkled in that keeps it all fluffy and lighthearted for the most part, but in a way that I don’t find too corny or overly done.
I didn’t think I’d be that interested in the romance aspect of this show, or rather I didn’t think I’d be able to get my head around the whole body switch thing, but it was kinda easy. The two lead actresses have nice chemistry and it feels like they play off of each other’s energy well.
The secondary couple’s story isn’t bad either, so it’s really a two for one deal.
My criticism…I can’t really find any to give right now. The pace is slow (for a GL series) but it helps build the story up along with the tension. Episode 6 had me giggling and kicking my feet. Happy I gave it a try, you should too if any of the above mentioned catches your eye.

In my opinion, it is well made, and the chemistry between the actresses is spectacular.
There were many funny scenes, alternating with more dramatic ones.
It is a drama that you can watch over and over again and never get bored of. The secondary couple is also well developed. The music is used at just the right moments. The final message of love is very beautiful.

Most Developed Plot out of all the series I’ve watched
What drew me to this series is a clip of ReyPrint’s kiss scene in EP6. Everything about their first kiss is perfection for me. The dialogue before the kiss; the way they stare at each other; the camera angle; the lighting; the bgm; THE FREAKING GIGGLES at the end!!! 😘I started watching EP1 immediately after that. I was hooked. 🤯 Because of the way Print was looking at Rey even though they were supposed to be enemies at the Workshop scene. Then the switch happened. ARHOUNG AS PRINT IS GOLD!!! 👑
I think the production did well with the casting. Arhoung as Rey really gives a serious experienced actress looks. Pam as print really looks like a fun influencer/idol. SWITCH IT UP: Arhoung’s comedic expressions/acting as Print really is MVP! Pam’s serious/dismissive/cool/high maintenance demeanor really embodies Rey’s character. It’s insane how they act each other’s character! Casting hit 💎!
Other than that, out of all the GL series I’ve watched this year, Queendom has the most DEVELOPED plot/storyline for me. Everything: the beginning (their rivalry), how they slowly doesn’t want to admit that their rival’s life is not that easy as they seem to think, how they came to an understanding, became friends but STILL bicker (I love this part), how they fell in love, how they’re still in each other’s body, how they DON’T BREAK UP because of a homophobic family member (like any other series I’ve watched), how they switch back but still have problems to deal with, how they deal with those problems, and FINALLY the last EP doesn’t disappoint. No sudden characters were redeemed at the eleventh hour. EP1-EP12 everything was well thought out. The story progression felt organic. KUDOS TO THE WRITERS. 👏🏼
Of course it’s a Romantic Comedy series with a spice of Fantasy. The director, the editing team, the sound editor: everyone did their job really really well! The wardrobe department is also deserving of praise! Damn those fits! Every character looks good! 😍 The make-up too! I love that whenever they’re at their house, their make is toned down, and gives them natural look. The hair also isn’t unrealistically perfect every scene. When they just woke up, or Rey was pushing Print by the forehead, it is not immaculate and fixed. Adds realism to the scene!
I didn’t know what I was getting myself into watching Queendom. I was not prepared to become so obsessed with it! Honestly the marketing is a bit lacking because I didn’t find out about this show until the middle EPs were already airing. That’s why I think it’s so underrated. But I honestly think Queendom deserves to be popular and may they achieve many awards.
Also found out that the main couple (Arhoung & Pam) is not from the same company, so they’re not a fixed ship. 😭 WHY??!! Eye contact! Smiles! Hugs! Hand-holding! Kisses! CHEMISTRY is INSANE! Watch their chemistry audition! You’ll see! 🙏🏼 If there’s even a little chance for Arhoung and Pam to have another series together as the main CP again, whoever has the power please I’m begging you. 🧎🏻♀️
Queendom shot straight to the top for me. I don’t think I was disappointed at any part of this series. And I’m a multi-stan. But I’ve been disappointed by the writing/editing/directing of my fave ships/actresses before. Not this series though. This is a feel good series! That I keep rewatching and rewatching because I can’t find anything that satisfies me like it does.
Queendom’s plot about living the life of your most hated person in the world. Understanding their struggles in life, realizing you’re one of their struggles but you don’t have to be. Completely seeing the whole picture and inevitably falling in love with them. At the same time realizing that your own life is not the one you wanted to live anymore. Or the one you want to get back to. But your rival (the one who supposedly hates you more than anything) is actually the one that tells you there is a lot to your life to celebrate and love too. And helps you achieve the life you want to live.
To me Queendom is not just about learning to love your enemy. Most importantly it is about learning how to love yourself too. Try to look at it from the eyes of the one who hates & loves you the most. This is why Queendom is top for me.

Queendom: a refreshinly cute enemies-to-lovers story with a Freaky Friday twist.
Print and Rey have been competitors from a very young age and come together in a very cute version of the age-old enemies-to-lovers plot.Queendom executes beautifully on the promises made in the trailer, leaving plenty of room for twists and turns to keep it interesting. It's a romantic comedy that doesn't take itself too seriously. High production values and good writing make it easy to gloss over the occasional less-than-believable moments.
The body swap twist to this story forces the girls to live in each other's worlds as they interact not only with acquaintances but also with each other's families. This plot device is used to excellent results as Print and Rey both find significant personal growth while living each other's lives and providing the opportunity to see the pressures and downsides to others' lives as well as the enviable parts. Setting them up as mirrors for each other so they can see themselves and each other more clearly, ultimately leading to them resolving the misunderstandings that underlie their rivalry. At the same time, it provided plenty of comedic moments that kept me giggling.
It's a rare thing for a gl to avoid the Yuri trap. You won't find cringy overdone tropes of internaized homophobia, "I didn't know I liked girls," etc. It's not full of all the red flags found in so many early GLs either. The challenges the girls face are mainly about learning to trust and communicate, and to recognize the struggles they each have experienced. Let's have more stories like this, please!
The supporting characters of Fon and Mai were very good, while I don't know if there is potential to spin them off in their own series, the actresses should be paired in another series.
If you can suspend disbelief for the body swap and enjoy a heartwarming feel-good romance, Queendom might be for you. It has definitely made its way into my list of re-watchable stories, and I sometimes find myself searching out specific scenes when I need a little emotional lift.

Great Slow burn
Slow burn romance .. which I really appreciate .. the chemistry between the leads was well portrayed and the body swap concept is genius and different for a gl. It’s bold and satisfying to watch . That being said you really get to notice the small things like the pauses and the lingering looks everything was written and directed with intention and I love that for once it makes sense for characters to act how they are supposed to act. It’s grounded enough to seem real even though it’s fantasy and it doesn’t feel cheap or cheesy .. the deleted scene as well adds so much lore and layers to it… Must watch if you’re a fan of good witting and slow burn .. and the background characters themselves can carry their own everything was done with with intention and I loved that. Was this review helpful to you?

[1 - 2] Most compelling start of the year, can it keep up the high bar?
EP1 & EP2 review: wow.EP1 hooked me; EP2 invested me.
Bold premise, really well executed.
EP1 did a fantastic job establishing the leads' distinct personalities, and then immediately flips it by having them play each other. Both actresses nail it, not only with the mannerisms, but also in carrying the emotional tone of the “borrowed” character. They perfectly embody the other while not losing their own essence.
It’s so well done it had me stopping to recalculate who’s who.
Within a single episode, the series showed the stark contrast in their lives; one living in luxury but deeply lonely, the other without that luxury, fighting to sustain herself and her family. Both carrying heavy burdens. By EP2, the story starts to hit deeper with both of them beginning to understand and even open up about the other’s struggles, giving the swap more heart. And then that cliffhanger? Perfect. I can't wait for the next EP!
The “actresses playing actresses” meta-layer adds such a smart twist! Watching them not only navigate each other’s lives, but also act in each other’s professional roles, is fascinating.
The comedic timing was so sharp, I actually laughed out loud, more than once.
The pacing was a bit fast, there's a lot packed in those 2 first episodes, but still did not feel overwhelming.
So far, the focus is almost entirely on the leads. It works for building their dynamic, as for the supporting characters it gives you enough to get you intrigued but doesn't give you enough to understand them, keeping them a bit underdeveloped as of now.
Only two EPs in, but it may have become the most compelling Thai GL series so far this year.
If they can keep up the balance between complexity of the story and clarity, it will be a hit.

First Impressions
After the seeing the first two episodes of this show, this series has wormed it’s way into my brain in a way that hasn’t happened to me since last year. Please check out this show if you haven’t yet, I highly recommend it so far. I hope it continues to be as promising as my first impression is.Was this review helpful to you?

*Special deleted scene คือห้ามพลาด*
