Loved the villagers

Things I liked:
1-the villagers. They were fun to watch, and I loved seeing them work together to kick butt.
2-We got a wedding!!!! Thankfully this wasn't rushed past, as K-dramas tend to do. The whole thing was beautiful and was only made more beautiful by Jung Hae In's glorious smile.
3-Jung Hae In wearing a suit.

Not so much:
1-Jung Hae In as a gangster. Completely unbelievable.
2-The actor they used for the ML teen years. I don't know if it was the way it was filmed, but all I could think of was how much taller he was as a teen.
3-The FL. She seemed uncomfortable. She wasn't portraying vulnerable, like you'd imagine someone with amnesia would. I couldn't figure out if it was her or the writing, but I didn't care for her. And she seemed too worldly against his innocence.
4-Writing issues. Things that always bug me. 1) FL is in danger, you take her to a small town but don't even tell her she's in danger, so she's running around to Seoul and back. 2) People are absolutely attached to their phones, but whenever you need to contact someone, the phone is either not with them or the battery has died. 3) He's sending you to Japan to save your life, but you're going to do what you want. 4) Amazing how she knew how to ride a motorcycle.
5-The romance just seemed too uneven to me.
6-The length of the drama could have been shorter; there were long periods of nothing going on.

So, my search for a satisfying rom-com continues.

Not Bad, Just Boring

For someone who loves long dramas, I’m honestly surprised by how long these 12 episodes felt. 😅
Our Sticky Love wasn’t necessarily a bad drama, but I found it pretty boring for most of the run. The storyline wasn’t particularly extraordinary, and it relied heavily on a lot of the classic, sometimes corny K-drama tropes we’ve seen countless times before.

The plot twist toward the end was probably one of the more interesting parts of the drama. Unfortunately, I wish it had played a much bigger role in the overall story because it had the potential to make the plot a lot more compelling.

One thing I did appreciate, though, was the wedding scene! 🥹 I feel like we barely get proper wedding scenes in K-dramas anymore, so seeing one was such a nice little treat.

Overall, I wouldn’t say I regret watching it, but it definitely wasn’t a drama that left a lasting impression on me. If you enjoy slower-paced romances, familiar K-drama tropes, and a simple storyline, you might enjoy it. For me, though, those 12 episodes felt much longer than they actually were. 😂

watch it if you have nothing else to do

This was an average drama especially considering how anticipated it was. I think the overall expectation was it to be like vincenzo meets hometown cha cha cha but this was just a father-son redemption story. And I wish they had actually gone with this as the main plot and kept romance as secondary. Because out of everyone's character, the villain father had the most depth. And I wish they followed the story through him, his desperate search for his son, the betrayal from one of his most trusted men, and finally the betrayal to himself when he finds out his son was infront of him all along and he was the one who ruined his life.
Because, considering the drama as it is, the fl anyway has very less to give to the story. Sure she has her prosecutor role which is what sets the begining of this sticky relationship between the villain and ml, but is she doing anything? No. Halfway through this drama I thought maybe she is like the prosecutor from the good bad mother, like she knew what was to come and she has prepared accordingly. But things just conveniently fall into place for her as soon as she regains her memory.
Till the end the story was about the father and the son. The fl was just there. And I have seen non-romance dramas be more romantic than this 'rom-com'. It felt forced to say the least.
so yeah. watch it if you have nothing else to do or are a fan of any of the cast/crew.

Overall a good feel good movie

I ended up binging the whole thing as the first few episodes were quite funny and gripping. The plot is ok at best but the female lead here carries. Love the actresses acting and hope she gets more main lead roles in the future.

The plot is quite typical country style themed where you have multiple villagers as side characters. Not different to other shows of similar tropes (think Hometown Cha Cha Cha). I did find it unique to have a female lead who is a bit more cautious and suspicious of her surroundings. Would have loved to see more of this side to her throughout the drama rather than being clustered near the beginning. The male lead was cute as well. Not much to comment really. I wish they explored a few more stories relating to the leads’ childhoods. The FL’s childhood upbringing was briefly touch on here and there but I would have appreciated more screen time dedicated to that part of her life. Since it’s a 12 episode drama I’m assuming they had to make some cuts. This is the issue viewers have been experiencing with recent dramas and their 12episode productions. The four episodes they cut take time away from the story, either leaving the ending rushed or the plot weak. Even the ML’s childhood was only briefly touched on at the end episode. I know this is nitpicky but I also know that 16episode dramas would have delivered this to us.

Overall this is a good feel good drama. Quite lighthearted and would definitely recommend a rewatch for a lazy evening.

Our Sticky Love starts a bit Cliché but turns out pretty wholesome

When I started this show, it was definitely giving a cliché, generic vibe. But as the show moved on I was again and again proven wrong.

First of all, Ahn Ha Young is damn gorgeous. Like she definitely has one of the unique faces you're gonna witness in this industry. Her beauty almost distracts you from the story at times.

Also, just got to learn that this is her first lead role as a female, and I can say she knocks it out of the park with her charming personality, perfect for the rom-com energy this drama needed.

She can act. Such a precious smile. But boy, was it hard watching her cry in monumental scenes. I Loved her work in "Teach You a Lesson" and was very eagerly looking forward to this project. And I can attest that the wait was worth it.

Secondly, coming to the male leads. I have loved Jung Hae-In's work in D.P. and Love Next Door. He's got the acting chops and manages to balance the nuances of the character from Gangster to Shy Boyfriend pretty effortlessly.

The bigger but a welcomed surprise was the villain here. Baek Sang-gil is not the usual antagonist provided with a tragic backstory just for the sake of the story, rather his character serves as a good example to the phrase "a product of the environment".

I also find it amusing that his character and Tae-Ha have almost the same line of events yet the path they choose draws a huge contrast between them, even though they are bound together through a cruel twist of fate.

Additional characters were so enjoyable. S.E.S Ladies especially have my heart. And his subordinate who joins the village later was also surprisingly funny. Glad that the doc and nurse made up at the end, haha.

The show never misses on its comedic beats, and always finds a way to deliver humor unexpectedly. The gentle taps on the back, whenever the characters hug are so cute. I have no idea if this was a thing for this show, or if it's a K-Drama thing, but I love it.

After the 10th episode, I was unsure of the ending and felt this might become another case of dragging the story which usually happens in various K-Dramas. Because by that episode, the story had reached a perfect closure.

But to my surprise the last two episodes were not just an extension of romantic leads having cute moments. Rather the story of the villain was simply not finished, and as we found out in the finale, he had a lot of baggage.

The show manages to wrap up the story in 12 episodes even with a deserved wedding scene by the end.

Tae-Ha doesn't hate rains now, as they don't remind him of his sorrowful days anymore rather he embraces it prioritizing his happiness for the first time.

Eun-Sae has a family now and no longer wishes for materialistic things to bring her happiness.

Wholesome ending. Long live the people of Taffy village.

A surprisingly fun mess of a romance.

First of all, I think it was a wise choice to drop all the episodes at once. Although there was quite a lot going on, I'd say the drama is still on the lighter side, and I think its momentum works much better as a binge.

Story-wise, I would've rated this much lower (probably would've dropped it too) if it were just about a clueless damsel-in-distress woman with amnesia and a smart manipulative man lying to her so he could keep her by his side. Because let's be honest, that's basically romanticized kidnapping and brainwashing. Well, this is still kinda that lol, but at least the drama knows its setup is ridiculous.

I was soooo relieved that they wrote Eunsae to retain her intelligence and wits. She doesn't simply believe everything she's told after waking up, and she keeps her doubts up for quite a time. She starts doubting Taeha immediately, and honestly, none of the village people involved are particularly convincing liars either, including Taeha himself lol. None of them even really tried so hard to convince her anyway lol. You can tell they want her to recover her memories as soon as possible for her own safety.

The story unfolded better than I had expected, and that's why I ended up writing a review in the first place. On paper, this is a countryside romance with the usual city girl meets rural guy setup and a reconnection thrown into the mix, but the story also keeps dipping into crime. Well, it did start at that before the cozy village setting. Those two sides continuously felt like they're taking turns instead of blending together. Taeha, especially, looks like a completely different person when he's dealing with his old life vs when he's hanging around the village and with Eunsae. The genre switching can be messy, so I wouldn't call the story perfectly balanced. There are moments where the darker side feels like it belongs to another drama that wandered into this light countryside rom-com. Still, I strangely had a lot of fun with it.

I also liked the leads a lot. Their chemistry carries a good chunk of the lighter scenes, and Hayoung is really, really pretty. She also has great comedic timing and gives Eunsae enough personality that the amnesia never turned her into a passive character. And Haein... yeah. His eyes are doing a lot of work here lol as usual. Taeha is a pretty quiet character, so there are plenty of scenes where his face has to do most of the talking, and he handles that really well.

I also appreciated that the drama doesn't make every conflict between the leads unnecessarily frustrating. There were several points where I expected the usual K-drama misunderstandings to drag things out. While I understand why that could be needed for this type of story, I was pleasantly surprised that it mostly avoided that. A few twists surprised me too, and it brought a bit of whiplash towards the end.


TLDR; The cast is charming, the romance is okay, the mystery actually kept me interested, and the whole thing moves along quickly enough that its stranger choices don't have much time to become annoying.

Yes, it's light, a bit absurd, and predictable. Yes, I enjoyed it.

"Boys" & "Girls Drama" , Jung Hae In Edition

The casting is probably one of the strongest points of this drama. Jung Hae In is someone you already know and trust as an actor, and he is completely comfortable in both sides of his image. At 38, he can still absolutely pull off the cute, soft, marshmallow-like side of his characters, which he has already demonstrated so well in his successful romantic dramas. And for fans who loved him through series like *D.P.*, don't worry — you'll get all those ingredients too.

He really is in his element when it comes to “boys’ dramas,” lol so to sum it up, this feels like a perfect scenario for fans of both his more “girly” romantic dramas and his more "masculine" series.

The heroine is actually the best-written character in the series, and she carries it ok, despite some inconsistencies in the acting. The only part that genuinely touched me was the ending involving the gangster character. It was well acted, but unfortunately way too brief and ultimately a little rushed.

As for the supporting characters, the three ladies are basically the comedic driving force of the show. They are the heavy hitters among the supporting cast, and they really bring a lot of the charm. However, I wish they had been given better writing, because after a while they start feeling too caricatural.

The Japanese friend’s cameo was very memorable! ;) The doctor was also one of the best characters, although unfortunately, the writing for his character became rather bland toward the end.

So, despite all its flaws and strengths, I watched the series all the way to the end. It’s a good way to pass the time without overthinking it or getting too deep into criticism. And, of course, the cast is solid overall.

It was well written and My curiosity increased. But they should have given more romantic scenes !!!

Absolutely loved it

I went into Our Sticky Love with basically no expectations and honestly… I have been completely blown away since episode 1. 🥹❤️

I laughed, I cried, I suffered, I got angry.. I felt EVERYTHING. This drama was such an emotional rollercoaster and I genuinely loved every second of it. The two main leads were absolutely amazing and I fell so hard for both of them and their chemistry.🥹😮‍💨

It had everything I could have asked for: romance, action, humor, emotional moments, and most importantly, a found family that was just PERFECT. 🥹 I genuinely loved every single character and found myself caring so much about all of them.

And the villain storyline?! At some point I was SO angry and frustrated, and by the end I was just sitting there thinking, “Maybe in another life, things could have been different…” 😭 It broke my heart in the best and worst way.

I cried multiple times while watching this. This drama touched me so deeply and the ending was honestly beautiful. ❤️

I really didn’t expect Our Sticky Love to become such a highlight for me, but here we are. Absolutely loved it. One of those dramas that stays with you even after you’ve finished it. 🥹✨

Lazy Writing

I respect the viewers and the ratings, but I honestly don't think this drama deserves its score at all. Just because we love some of the actors in this drama and enjoy watching everything they're in doesn't mean we should completely ignore reality.
Look, we love C-dramas and K-dramas with all their typical tropes within their own framework, but this show completely messed up even those basic tropes. Everything feels so surface-level. The story starts as if it's heading toward a really deep premise, but then it devolves into almost nothing.
I want to start with the ML. The show tries to sell him as this powerful, badass guy through charismatic scenes. He fights off dozens of people, does dirty work for a genuinely evil villain, walks through flames, and so on—yet when faced with his actual situation, he showed zero intelligence. He literally spent almost five episodes playing house in his village with an amnesiac woman. On top of that, even though our FL lost her memory, she is definitely not stupid. If you talk to her reasonably, she’s more than capable of processing and understanding what’s going on. Despite this, treating her like an idiot was just absurd.
Seeing a guy who's been a mob enforcer for years unable to string a coherent sentence together, blushing, and turning into a shaky mess whenever he talks was laughably bad. Maybe this concept came off as romantic in your first two dramas, but right now it’s just hilarious. It’s 2026, and nobody expects a mobster to have never kissed anyone before. Frankly, no one buys that anymore.
As for the FL, I can't really say anything negative about her performance. Honestly, I felt genuinely bad for her throughout the episodes I watched. When you think about it, even though memory loss gets heavily romanticized in shows and movies, it’s actually terrifying. Nobody respected her enough to tell her the truth. I have zero respect for the whole "I did it all for your own good" nonsense. Everyone has the right to know the truth.
Because of what I mentioned above, the romance between the two of them felt completely unappealing to me. I just couldn't get over the fact that she was being manipulated and lied to the entire time.
Of course, these are evaluations from my personal perspective. From a technical standpoint, the writing, directing, and editing were pretty weak. The scene transitions were so jarring in some places that they totally pulled me out of the story.
In short, the drama felt lazy and sloppy. This plot premise deserved so much better, but everything ended up feeling completely unrealistic and illogical (and I actually enjoy well-executed absurdities)

Go Eun-sae loses her memory

Our Secret Love is a wonderful K-drama that I finished in a single day. I loved how they handled the dynamic and the moment when the female lead loses her memory, only for a person she met in the past to approach her claiming to be her boyfriend when he actually isn't. He is a former boxer who did all of this to protect her. He used to be part of a criminal gang because when his grandmother fell ill, he didn't have enough money, so he joined this organization and gave up boxing. As the story unfolds, the chemistry between Eun-sae and Jang Tae-ha develops and the two of them fall in love. Even though they weren't together at first, they fall for each other. Eun-sae didn't really believe the story that he was her boyfriend, but in the end she believes it because she meets a friend of hers who tells her, 'Yes, he is your boyfriend.' From then on, as the whole story takes off, she wants to go further. It is a beautiful story and it's so great how they created it.
