one of my favorite bls!
This is my first bl that i’ve finished and i don’t regret it! i love everything about the show and it’s so addictive i’ve been obsessed for months. it was funny and had great plot and character backstory and i genuinely felt every emotion the actors conveyed. por did an amazing job as qin. i was able to tell his emotions through the smallest changes in his body language and facial expressions for a character not very expressive. i honestly wish i could watch this again for the first time and im in love with the ost. i am upset at how little jamiemarvis we got and how quickly qin forgave his parents tho.Was this review helpful to you?
Love Duang's Way
Rating update TEN ... TEN All the Way!!!Well, I've proved myself wrong and missed these two so much, that I had to watch this drama again. YESSSSS.... when watching something a 2nd time, you see things that didn't see before & the good feelings have blossomed. TeeTeePo are the Perfect Pairing.
DUANG WITH YOU!
Qin's first time opening up to Duang... and I can understand that he doesn't like feeling his vulnerability for the first time when it comes to this new relationship.
Duang's character is a bit eccentric, it's a personality that can be either become annoying or cutesy. I don't know if there are young men out there that truly act like this, but it's something to think about 🤣.
The moment that Duang covered Qin's part to help him recover, was when Qins found his safety net in him. You can see the chemistry forming. Duang gently makes a path to be in Qin's heart, he understands that in his own eccentric way .. that he needs to allow Qin to find his way to him. With all the silliness that Duang had toward Qin.. it was apparent that Qin would sooner or later open his heart & trust Duang with his vulnerability.
Then came ........ the....... *Kiss* 🫣🥰. The song playing was perfect with the *First Kiss* oooooo.... goose bumps and a smile!!!!
And.... Qin ... 🫣Time to get busy 🫣.
Watching the relationship between Qin & Duang was subtle yet alluring within their world of embrace.
Until, a certain person enters back into Qin's world, it was a moment of holding your breath... especially when Duang suddenly saw a text come through.
Episode 7, from the middle to end... my heart was hugging Duang. Even though I was watching what was happening with Qin's past ... to see Duang trying to understand where he stands now in Qin's world.
This actor TeeTee is amazing in facial expressions to pull you into his heart. I definitely have to give him 10 stars. The pairing of these two was definitely ***Powerful*** shipping.
Qin is facing a path that will get rough, yet how strong is this relationship going to be with the Qin's past trying to bulldoze he's way back into his life?
Once Qin made himself clear about his feelings to Duang... I didn't cry (😭) Really 😉. Duang had his answer as the tears he held back flowed (I really didn't cry 🤭)
I really adore their relationship. Although Duang is a bit too much for me with his eccentric personality... it truly works for this drama, it fits. I didn't appreciate his quirkiness at first, because I just couldn't relate to a preadult or adult acting in such a manner. However, there was a reason the writer made Duang the way he is. With the personality of Qin ... and Duang... it fits perfectly for their ship. They are the colors in each other's life... nicely put dad 🥰
🥰🥳It's Official ... YAY!!!! 🥰🥳
***The expensive gift***, not being accepted & feeling hurt because of it. A value of the gift can be concerning but remember the emotional attachment when buying it.. has a more priceless meaning. It's not only to give happiness to the receiver but also brings that warmth of happiness to the one who gives it. Understanding the difference between can make or break a person's heart.
Yet, Qin also has a very solid point... gifting should really not be chosen by value... but felt with sincerity.
Duang is such a Velcro Love Puppy 🫂
What Qin went through as a child is heartbreaking. He never let go or came to terms with it.
Duang once again tugged at the heartstrings by saying "Let go of your younger self's hand & hold onto mine, I'll take it from here."
OMG... what a burst of warm bright light that Qin needed to come out of his childhood darkness. (The writer of this drama... knows how to find the perfect wording to pull at the heartstrings)
Duang is definitely the best character in this drama!!!
The music picked out for this drama ... perfect!
I would DEFINITELY watch this again, but it's definitely a drama I will remember & recommend.

Sweet and cute done absolutely right!
This show is a unicorn. It sparkles, it's unbelievably cute and absolutely one of a kind. This level of cuteness is usually 100% cringe to me. But the delivery from Teetee and Por is perfectly balanced. They complete each other. So although the story itself is not very substantial, there is a message here: You need a supportive and safe partner who, even if they don't understand you, will try anyway.Another take away is that communication can be very attractive indeed. The way Qi and Duang try to understand and know eachother is amazing.
And who expected that these cuties would be able to switch to hot and bothered is a millisecond ?
It was agony waiting for a new episode every week. And every episode made me so happy.
Absolutely a masterpiece in the college genre, and I'm putting it high in my re-watch list.

This The Best, Not Just Good!
It's no wonder the ratings are so high, considering the storyline is a lighthearted series about someone who falls in love at first sight and intends to pursue it until they find it. Once watched, it's addictive to the point where you can't stop. Even in episode 11, which is usually a sacred episode, here it's given a conflict about friendship and family not the couple. They're calm and peaceful from episode 1 to the end. Duang loves Qin, Qin loves Duang, the sound effects are addictive too!Was this review helpful to you?
thoughts on my 2nd bl and how it shows important plot
my duang ang qin! probably the best bl ive watched. its funny and i like the characters. qin's story is sad, i cried. i love that they don't cut off scenes and strip off the important ones because im used to kdrama opening up a plot and not going deeper and resolving it or the format is too common that its predictable whereas in this drama, it respected the book and adapted those scenes perfectly. its fresh for my kdrama programmed brain plot lol. the acting can be worked out. its a hit or miss. some of you hate fun. its not like this will be submitted to cannes or the academy lol. storywise, its so cute and too good to be true but i like to watch feel good series duuuhh. my friend recommended it to me and were watching together. i like that sex scenes are longer and a lot. topics and dialogues about being the top and bottom was refreshing as well because not all opens that up on movies or series. glad they adapted it from the book. MY DUANG AND QIN I WILL MISS THEM. i wish i can refresh my brain and watch it for the first time. Was this review helpful to you?

Fun fun fun if you don't think about it too deeply
peak enjoyment. rating purely on the joy factor. what this series sold was teeteepor and wowwowow did it sell the hell out of this couple. acting is very rough around the edges for everybody involved but at the same time, i don't think any other actor could've brough out the charm in duang like teetee did. read some of the novel, wow that was hot trash from the dumpster. canon duang was so fucking insufferable and icky. but onscreen duang love love love. qin is such a gorgeous gorgeous guy i'd fall for him and be weird af about it too duang. the plot is barely there but this is a campus couple flick, people expect too much. couples are cringe, duangqin are cringe bc theyre bringing real couple energy. when was the last time two men on screen actually look like they love each other i can't remember. but duangqin is literally that couple in the disney line all on top of each other. you hate them until you become them. for the other cast members, omg we need acting lessons boys. the duang gang bring enough comedy and charm for me to overlook their atrocious acting but omg i could not stand qin's friends. they barely added to the plot and they had no presence whatsoever. then i find out that they are models, that makes sense. p'bm you think you're slick for sliding in three of your kids into this series and thinking i won't notice. omg they stood out like a sore thumb. also like, pae just disappears randomly and it's never brought up again. like did all his scenes get cut,? don't add those parts in then what? i do wish i knew how they all became friends too bc why do they do so much for duang damn. jamiemarvis story was soooo nothingburger. i understand theyre a foil to the lover boy warrior contrast thing but they also brought nothinggg. i wanna say i wanted to see their story fleshed out more but i also did not enjoy them on my screen so. qin trauma was also resolved super hastily but yea that's to be expected from a fluff series that doesnt take itself too seriously. anyway plot was full of holes and the ship is sinking but omg ill sink with it what a fun ride thank you p'kla. Was this review helpful to you?
NOT THE BEST BUT STILL GOOD!!
I feel like the drama emphasize its title strongly—“Not the Best but Still Good”—because that phrase actually captures the heart of the story perfectly. It’s about two people with completely opposite strengths and flaws who somehow balance each other beautifully.Duang = a golden retriever character—over-the-top, cheerful, and always ready to give everything to the person he loves. But underneath that positivity, he struggles with insecurity and tends to overthink.
Qin, on the other hand, has that reserved “black cat” energy. He comes across as cold or even arrogant because he prefers to be alone and avoids dealing with people. But deep down, he has a soft side—especially for those he truly cares about. His guarded personality comes from past trauma.
What makes their relationship compelling is how different their upbringings are. Duang grew up surrounded by love and wants to share that warmth with Qin. Meanwhile, Qin is a lonely soul who craves love but hides behind his walls. Duang’s persistence and consistency slowly break those walls down, brick by brick.
What I Loved
1. Chemistry
The chemistry is absolutely sizzling. This is my first DMD drama, so I wasn’t familiar with the actors before, but TeeteePor’s chemistry is insane. The way they handle skinship feels incredibly natural—not forced or awkward. Compared to other BL dramas I’ve watched, this one stands out in how realistically it portrays a queer relationship. It feels genuine and lived-in.
2. Acting
It’s hard to believe this is TeeteePor’s first lead role—they feel like seasoned actors.
Teetee, especially, did an amazing job as Duang. That character could easily come off as cringey, but he made Duang lovable and charming. His emotional range is impressive—when he shifts from playful to serious, the contrast is striking. I’m really excited to see him take on more intense roles in the future.
Por also did a great job as Qin. That kind of character is tricky—if not done well, Qin could easily seem selfish or unlikable. But Por made sure we could see Qin’s vulnerability beneath the surface. His use of micro-expressions was especially strong—you can understand Qin’s emotions even when he says nothing. That’s not easy to pull off, but he handled it well.
There’s always room for improvement, but honestly, I don’t have major complaints about their performances.
3. Music / OST
DMD really went all out with the OST—14 songs and covers is wild. And the best part? They’re actually good. I’ve been replaying them constantly. The music really adds to the emotional impact of the series.
What I Didn’t Like
1. JammieMarvis
Their relationship feels underdeveloped. It comes across more like filler than a meaningful subplot. There’s little to no progression, and even by the end, their dynamic is unclear. The chemistry is inconsistent—sometimes it works, sometimes it feels awkward. I don’t think it’s the actors’ fault; it seems more like an issue with direction and writing.
2. TongPae & JammiePae
I understand why TongPae got attention—it had potential if the production had leaned into it more. But it seems like they didn’t anticipate how much fans would like that pairing, so it ended up with an open-ended, platonic conclusion.
Interestingly, I felt more chemistry between JammiePae than JammieMarvis. Even though it’s clearly meant to stay platonic, their dynamic felt more natural and engaging.
After being away from the BL fandom for so long, I didn’t expect to get pulled back in—but this series did exactly that. Duang With You and TeeteePor really brought me back.
You can tell the production team put a lot of heart into this project, and it shows. The story resonates, the emotions feel genuine, and the ending feels complete—even without a special episode.
That said, if we do get one, I definitely won’t complain.
Rating: 11/10
This drama left me with such a warm, wholesome feeling—it’s easily one of my favorite BL series now.

Chasing feelings, one step at a time
I really liked the dynamic between Duang and Qin right from the start. Duang is open, persistent, and a bit chaotic in his feelings, while Qin comes off as distant and hard to read, and that contrast makes their relationship naturally engaging. The whole “chasing someone who doesn’t quite know what to do with you” could have been repetitive, but here it feels light and even a bit refreshing, especially once they’re forced to spend time together through the stage performance. You can slowly see Qin soften, and that shift is what makes their connection work. It’s not a dramatic or intense romance, but more something that grows through presence and familiarity. I also really enjoyed the overall vibe, it’s a small weekly dose of energy that’s just easy to watch. I do wish we had seen more of the other friends, because their dynamic added a lot and it felt like there was more to explore there.

Not the best, but still BEST
I’m actually writing my first review because this show had me on chokehold….and probably always will have. I love this series so so much. It’s true that the story is not that special, it’s a simple romance with some family drama but the ACTING and EMOTIONS are out of this world when it comes to TeeTeePor. It’s actually really hard to believe it’s theirs first main role, cause they delivered an amazing performance. But also the production was incredible. You can really see what makes a good show amazing and it really don’t have to be some deep plot, The feeling in camera shots (especially in NC scenes) and that you can really feel the actors love their roles and the environment they are working in is making this show stand out.
I hope DMD will deliver us more of these masterpieces and I’m here (un)patiently waiting for another TeeTeePor project.

One of my favorite series ever! ✨
Duang With You is such a special drama. The pacing is just right, the story is meaningful and very touching, and the acting is amazing! You can really feel every emotion—happiness, shyness, care and love. It’s not too dramatic, just full of soft and beautiful moments that make you smile the whole time. Even after finishing it, I keep thinking about it. It’s worth every minute, and I will definitely rewatch it again and again! Thank you to everyone who worked hard to make this beautiful series . I’ve rewatched it many times already, and I love it more every time! 10/10, highly recommended!💙Was this review helpful to you?
Infectious Cute Aggression
I'll be very honest and say that within the first and second eps of this series I was watching it begrudgingly because I didn't really expect much from it. The bar was low concept wise, nothing new and/or amazing. And yet DWY managed to do something very few series have managed to do. It stayed consistent and true to its concept and exceeded the bars that were set and made us feel all the things while they were at it. This is a clear case of don't judge a book by its cover imo, because the story itself lands perfectly upon the heart and makes you wish for it to never end.
TeeTee made this series what it was, his infectious mannerisms and believable down-badism as Duang literally were the defining points of this series. Por also did well, and the later half of the series we were able to see his acting chops shine through as Qin's walls came down. Together they are magic, because they provide what the other is lacking and the balance is wonderful.
This series made me swoon, cry, and laugh so much.
This is easily a top favorite of 2026 and is soooo recommended.
