On second thought Chi Cheng deserves better

I think Wu Suowei doesn’t deserve Chi Cheng
The MC is too funny. I haven’t laughed this much in such a long time. I had sworn off BL because I couldn’t stand the bad acting in Thai dramas, too much reliance on smut. I was just reading yaoi manhwa 🙈 But if this is the future of BL, then I’m back for good 😂
Things I liked
This drama feels realistic. The MC didn’t fall for the ML overnight
He wasn’t straight then suddenly gay for the ml 😂
It took time for him to come around.
His dramatic reactions to the ML’s touch were such a breath of fresh air.
The MC wasn’t a pushover, and I loved him for that
. I do wish the ML was less forceful, but I’m still glad he didn’t cross the line.
It’s easy to write MLs who assault their way into a love story, but harder to write strong ones who exercise restraint.
Things I disliked
I didn’t like how much the ML liked his snakes.
I hated that he ordered some guys to gang rape someone who had helped his father take away the snakes. Yes, he told them not to kill the guy, but I was like; bro, you’re putting him through something probably worse than death.
I didn’t like the MC at first. He felt weak, like a pushover, letting Yue Yue’s new boyfriend hurt him more than once. Honestly, it felt like karma when the ML caused that boyfriend to crash and almost die (which, by the way, was a crime, one of many committed by the ML).
I absolutely hated it when Chi Cheng threatened to rape Xiao Shuai if he didn’t convince Da Bao to sleep with him. That’s criminal behavior. Why not just be patient and wait for your straight boy friend to come around? You can’t expect someone to become gay overnight and be okay with being intimate when they’re not ready.
I also didn’t like how Xiao Shuai pressured Da Bao to go all the way with Chi Cheng. It felt like he was impatient to get his straight friend laid. Da Bao isn’t gay (yet), and he’s doing this because of revenge.
P.S. A huge part of my enjoyment is thanks to the Chinese language. Some things that might not be funny in English were absolutely hilarious in Chinese.
I do prefer the second lead
Can the other half just be about them?
I want to see more of them
Their dynamic seems more healthy than the first couple
Chi Cheng is too horny for his own good and I think he take it easy with his boyfriend bc he’s new to all this
I think you can love someone but still not be ready for intimacy

My top tier drama series of all time
I really love this series so much. Enemy to lover, possessive boyfriend, and a little bit toxic relationship, “hell yesss count me in”. I love the chemistry with all the characters. I really love the main couple and the second couple too , they all have interesting chemistry. The story is great and funny too. Well done.Was this review helpful to you?
One of the bestest C-BL drama
I can't express my feeling😭 🙏🏻the drama is so good, i want them to be real life couple 😭😭 I wish I could meet them they are so sweet and cute specially ziyu💗,may god bless both of them and keep them healthy #tianziyu hope there will be more series of them being together as a husband and wifey, I'm going crazy I just don't know how to express my feeling and second leads are also so hot and cute. I think it's right to say that this was one of the sweetest BLs I've watched. I mean the chemistry with them is just awesome, although it really broke my heart when they broke up but the way Chi Cheng looks after Wei Wei later is just so cute, I mean he literally treats him as his kid. I just loved them so much. And of course how can we forget the side character syndrome, (unpopular opinion) Guo Cheng and Jiang were a better and cuter couple. I liked them even more than I liked Chi Cheng and Wei Wei. And the way Jiang smiles at Cheng melted my heart so how could our lover Guo Cheng could not melt on that damn smile.I loved it and it's totally worth a watch❤️

"The Series You Can't Stop Talking About
OMG what a series.. i love it a lot. someone told me if you not watch this .. you are going to miss something, i just listen but was not think about it seriously. because everyone choice are different, even my friend asking .. NOT YET STARTED.. like she was surprised i am not yet started, then i thought let me start.wow i love this series like a crazy. now i believe her why she was so crazy and love this series, series is seriously too too good. when i finished i feel so bad for myself because not able to see cast and both main character like always. love wu qi and chi cheng. chemistry between both was super cool . wu qi is so cute and chi cheng is so handsome. made for each others :)
Everyday i repeat one episode because if i am not seen them i don't like it , is look like something is missing for a day.
Please want other series for both of them.

build up done right
this show had some silly moments (I feel that basically all Chinese shows I’ve watched falls into a pit of filler episodes where the realistic story goes off the rails and some odd things happen, here when the Wang brothers came I was a little like, okay this is ridiculous) but it was overall done well. the beginning was a bit slow but I loved how we did get a realistic build up of the two playing basketball and slowly getting to know each other. also the ost is so good (especially loved the English songs included in the soundtrack)!!maybe a tad too much focus on the snakes though lol

Loved it
I loved this BL drama. I have been looking for a good one since "Between Us" and "Love in the Air", and I finally found it here. The storyline was great, and the addition of the snakes gave it an interesting twist that I have not seen before. I also really loved the chemistry between the leads and their overall acting.The reason I didn’t give it a 10 is because of the unnecessary misunderstandings. This irritated me a lot since the characters couldn’t communicate properly or talk things through. Instead, they just jumped to conclusions.

i have never been more emotionally attached to a bl.this show has it's flaws, some worse than others, but i think it just adds to the charm.
the casting is PERFECT. i truly couldn't think of better actors to play these characters. the chemistry is so strong, not only between the couples, but between all the characters. their interactions felt so natural.
a hats off to tian xuning especially. chi cheng may be troubled, but he knows how to keep a show entertaining. incredible work.
the plot twists and turns in all sorts of ridiculous ways and some things just didn't make sense. i can't leave a review without speaking on my gripes with the 7-8 episodes worth of misunderstandings, lack of communication, and unreasonable drama. i just choose to blame wang shuo and pretend it didn't happen. nevertheless, it's so hard to not love this series. i'll absolutely be revisiting. so much kudos to everyone who worked on it.

A show full of sexual assualt that get romantized by viewer
This series is really disgusting , a show that manypeople like and going viral everywhere but full of nasty things like gang rape , sexual assault , prostitusion and you see people gushing over it and calling it hot , that chi cheng guy threatened his lovers friend that he would rape him if he dont convince his lover to have sex with him and what i saw was people calling it hot , Im very dissapointed in this drama there are tons of novel with good plot and they decided to adapt this shitty novel to a drama .
