I don’t know what has changed, but I never thought I would see a true BL come out of China. I was expecting another bromance but this is really really good. Now to see if they let it finish, or if it becomes another Addicted situation. if China continues to loosen it censorship guidelines when it came to BL and LGBT shows, they could easily become the strongest contender in the BL industry, trumping even Thailand. well maybe second. but they could easily flood the market and dominate. I’m still in shock that we have had so many kissing scenes and it’s still going. Maybe Xi is starting to loosen the hold he has on society, who knows. but whatever’s going on, WE THE FANS WANT MORE PLEASE.😊

I Didn't Expect to Be This Emotionally Invested

Revenge Love had me hooked from the very beginning – especially because of the explosive and emotionally raw tension between Wu Suo Wei and Chi Cheng. While the story starts out as a classic enemies-to-lovers setup, it quickly evolves into a complex emotional drama that places real feelings at the center.

Wu Suo Wei begins his plan driven by wounded pride – aiming to seduce Chi Cheng as revenge against his ex. But it becomes clear that he's acting out of pain, not malice.

Chi Cheng initially comes off as distant, cold, and controlling – but that façade slowly cracks as he truly gets to know Suo Wei.

What I especially love is how both characters break away from clichés:

Suo Wei is no helpless victim – he’s complex and introspective.

Chi Cheng isn’t a villain – his actions are rooted in emotional scars.

Even the side characters contribute to the emotional layering and subtle tension that make this story so compelling.

🔮 Wishes & Expectations
I deeply hope Wu Suo Wei will find the courage to tell Chi Cheng the truth – what really motivated his actions and how his feelings have changed. But from the teasers, we already know: this likely won’t happen through his own words. Instead, Chi Cheng might uncover the truth himself – a path that will likely be painful for both of them.

The situation becomes even more complicated with the return of Wang Shuo, Chi Cheng’s ex-boyfriend, who adds further emotional turmoil to the story. I can already sense that the emotional chaos is only just beginning – and my heart might just break in the process.


💔 Conclusion
Revenge Love is far more than just a revenge drama – it’s an intense exploration of pride, pain, and unspoken love, filled with unexpected emotional twists. The chemistry between Chi Cheng and Wu Suo Wei is electrifying, and every scene pulls you in emotionally. I’m looking forward to the next episodes – but I already feel my heart trembling, sensing the storm that’s coming.

A masterpiece that will forever hold a special place in my heart.

I have never in my life cried so much over a series as I did over Revenged Love — the acting, the storyline, everything. I’ve never felt this kind of pain in my stomach after watching a movie or series. Well, actually I have, but for completely different reasons. For example, the film Call Me by Your Name, which is about two boys, Elio and Oliver, who fall deeply in love over one summer in Italy, only to be torn apart. During and after that film, I cried for hours, but that was because of the heartbreaking events — which was partly the reason for my feelings during Revenged Love as well — but also because of how the film left me, as a viewer, with a gaping black hole and so many questions.

In just one film, these two characters fall deeply in love, are suddenly separated, and never end up together again. The final scene shows Oliver calling Elio’s parents to tell them about his new wife, while Elio sits alone, listening to the call and crying. That scene will never stop haunting me.

But the difference between Call Me by Your Name and Revenged Love is that it wasn’t the painful events that left me with this ache in my stomach — it was the beautiful moments. I have never in my life become this emotionally attached to a series. And the feeling that comes when the final episodes suddenly end is indescribable.
This was my very first time watching a chinese bl drama but definitely not the last.

All I can say is: if you haven’t seen this series yet, you have to — and if you have, watch it again. And tell your friends and family about it. Because this is a masterpiece that will forever hold a special place in my heart.

Chemistry so good, you almost forget the coercion. Almost.

Pros: Very enjoyable show, hilarious dialogue (despite the cringe moments), everyone is attractive. Although it was based on a novel of questionable quality (let's be honest, a low-quality Wattpad fanfic at best) it managed to actually have good results - everyone is more or less morally grey but you don't hold it against them. The second couple stole the show for me (Guo Chengyu, my beloved) and Chi Cheng's voice actor is spectacular. Last, but not least, China's first BL with explicit scenes and dialogues, so I had to watch no matter what.

Cons: I like morally grey characters but I draw the line at sexual assault - Chi Cheng is a borderline sex offender and both the audience and Wu Suowei are supposed to just accept it and roll with it. Casual sexist statements exist in almost every episode up until the middle of the season.

From Revenged to Forever Love

There are really no words to describe this experience. It was interactive, at times it was scary (not knowing if it would be pulled or censored), it was funny, it was sad, emotional, heart-warming... it really was a complete package in and outside the drama.

To those who didn't get to experience the fun outside of the drama and suffer with the rest of us, it's okay, you can still enjoy the drama because it's one of the best you will ever watch and you can still join the Revenged Love club of this intense/lovable fandom 🌽.

If they would have kept their foot on the gas pedal toward the end and really went for it, just the slightest bit more, it would have been an unbeatable 1 only waiting for a challenger. Nothing could have touched it, BL or not. However, this series is still a 10 for me and is one of the best dramas ever.
The intimacy they continuously showed blew my mind. Intimacy with romance is incredibly hard to find all the way through in dramas. So dramas dont even have it. It's incredibly hard to show intimacy and I don't think most people both with trying to show it. I always look for it and need it in my romance dramas because that is what a good romance drama is to me and this is where it was.

I can't imagine what these beautiful stories would dare to show if they weren't under pressure, but this was a huge leap forward for a more promising future in not only CBL but possibly BL in general. Please take note of this well crafted seires drama makers/the powers that are in charge of dramas!!! Awesome script, chemistry off the charts, amazing actors, great cast and crew, the right OST music... If I'm not wrong, this series was made in a month or less, possibly 2 months. You don't have to ever sacrifice quality, good scripts, cast, crew, etc.. to make a fantastic series.

What a crazy, intense, intimate, ride. I loved every second. I hope all of you guys don't suffer too long after the final. I feel your pain, I am suffering too. I am so attached, I don't know how to even begin to let go.

Thank you ZiYu and Tian Xu Ning for bringing Wu Suo Wei and Chin Cheng to life, thank you to the cast and crew for making something incredible and leaving us with something so beautiful. I'm going to miss my 4 crazy schemers. These best friends are something else.
