I WILL NEVER FORGET THIS
Thank you. the revenged love era was one of the most important and precious drama eras in my life. it really made me fall in love with the actors and the drama itself. i cant believe these weeks went by so fast. this drama has obviously been an anormous success, i feel like ive never seen such a big fandom and popularity over a new bl chinese drama. it is especcially a breakthrough in chinese dramas, its iconic, it really globalized the popularity of not only the drama itself, but look at how big the impact of it was on for example zi yu’s carreer. seeing so many people cheering and watching the drama was truly something amazing. of course you cant leave out the negative outcome, which eventually couldve come sooner or later. it has been shown how fame has two sides and it is not all colorful and happy at all times. i really wish the actors dont take the hate to heart and i cant express enough how bad i felt something like that happened. nobody deserves to be treated like that and people who think that is okay are just purely sick and dont know the term ‚respect’ and ‚equal treatment’. i sincerely wish the actors happiness and positivity, as well as resiliance and wish nothing like that hate would happen to them again. they truly dont deserve to be treated like that, nobody does. thankfully, there were so many people who sincerely cheered for them, were respectful, didnt hate, showed love and support towards the actors, and that is something beautiful. ive got to say the era of revenged love has really changed my life in various ways, it made me feel so many emotions, as well ad made me realize the price of fame and how some people really lack respect. It made me truly get attached to the actors as well as the characters, become a true fan, made me feel like im taking part in something impactful, something that is going to be imporant in moving forward, changing for the better. it really made me feel a part of a bigger comunity, i really feel grateful that i could experience this era all along, while the episodes were coming out, the excitement, the anticipation, the fear and happiness and other various emotions. i really cant express enough how this era, the drama, the actors and the characters truly had a huge impact and how theyre so important to me. i really feel like that all will always stay in my heart, ive got to say it hurts a lot to let this drama go. i will continue to support the actors and be a huge fan of revenged love, it truly felt like something bigger than me and something that really had an impact not only on my life but also on many other peoples lifes and hopefully it does have the power to make the chinese entertainment take a step forward, even if its a small one. i will really keep this entire era, series, actors, characters in my heart, it was an unforgettable history made and im so grateful to have been able to experience it. i also have got to admit i have not seen this absolutely stunning amazing perfect chemistry many times. it is truly something so so so precious, iconic, beautiful and breathtaking, i was absolutely immersed in the chemistry im not even kidding. the face cards. the acting. the emotions. the complexicity. all that just proves it is truly an unforgettable drama. Was this review helpful to you?
Love, Flaws and all
Like everyone, I was enraptured by Revenged Love from the first episode; with exceptional acting and an interesting plot, i waited every monday and tuesday to watch with millions the newest episodes. This show will become a staple on the BL genre. Does it have flaws? absolutely. Do i love it despite? absolutely. Thankyou to Ziyu, Tian Xu Ning, Zhan Xuan, and Liu Xuan Cheng for the phenomenal characterisation, and all the production team associated. You really blew it out the park❤️ Cant wait to rewatch it again and againWas this review helpful to you?
A Stunning First BL Experience — And I’m Hooked!
I never thought my very first BL drama would capture my heart like this, but Revenged Love truly surprised me. From the opening scenes, the story pulled me in with its mix of emotion, tension, and intrigue. What stood out the most was the incredible chemistry between the main leads. Every glance, every interaction felt so genuine and full of unspoken emotion. A friend recommended it to me, and giving it a chance was one of the best decisions I’ve made as a drama fan. This is a series I’ll be thinking about for a long time. Was this review helpful to you?
Warning: this show could be hazardous to your heart!
Maybe it’s the acting, maybe it’s the undeniable chemistry—but for me, it’s the cast that truly carried Revenged Love. Although it’s a remake, I honestly think this version surpasses the original. The editing is excellent, keeping viewers hooked and eager for the next episode. The story started strong, but I feel the “snakes” subplot distracted from what could have been a deeper exploration of the characters. Each one had a rich backstory worth telling, and they were all beautifully placed within the narrative. As a viewer, I wanted to know more about each of them—enough that I’m tempted to download the book just to dive deeper.
Without giving away too much, I appreciated the lighthearted yet meaningful portrayal of a straight man discovering his attraction to another man. Not everyone is “born” gay; sometimes circumstances, emotions, and human connection create unexpected paths—a reality still very present in many Asian societies.
There are also countless subtle hints and clever Easter eggs scattered throughout. One that stood out for me was late in the series, when the male leads were watching Stay with me. It felt like a quiet but powerful nod to the BL world, especially since that show like Addicted was famously cut by Chinese censors, leaving fans longing for closure.
The intimate scenes were handled with taste, making the series approachable even for those not typically into BL. A great example of this style was the film Birdcage—gentle yet impactful. The relationship between the mother, son, and son-in-law was deeply moving. It’s rare, yet beautiful, to see parents openly embrace same-sex relationships, and it added an important emotional layer to the story.
Overall, Revenged Love is a standout series. I think Thai BL production companies could learn from its approach—and maybe even try to replicate its balanced storytelling. Still, finding an actor like Ziyu, who so perfectly embodied his role, would be no small task. He truly deserves all the praise he’s receiving.
I hope this series nudges Chinese censors toward being more open to BL productions from the mainland. In the meantime, I know I’ll be rewatching Revenged Love—just like I do with Addicted and Unknown—again and again for years to come

Against All Odds — How Revenge Love Redefined Chinese BL
Revenged Love is nothing short of a masterpiece, the first of its kind from China that defied expectations. It’s not your typical romance, and perhaps that’s what makes it so captivating. Seeing China deliver something like this was a pleasant surprise for many of us.The cast delivered phenomenal performances, a solid 10 out of 10, 100 out of 100. The music was equally perfect, enhancing every scene and emotion. The 24 episodes were pure goodness from start to finish. Now that it’s over, I can confidently say it’s a must-watch. Every minute I spent watching it was worth it, and I can only hope that China will give us more projects like this.
Sadly, due to the country's restrictions, we’ll probably never see the same actors together in another BL, which makes this series even more precious. It’s also disheartening to acknowledge how Chinese fans and the system itself have, in some ways, made things harder for the actors. Still, huge respect to the directors and producers, they worked with a very tight (almost non-existent) budget, yet managed to create a gem.
This series proves that a great BL isn’t about the size of the budget but the strength of the story. You can have all the money in the world and still make something forgettable, but Revenged Love shows that passion and good writing win every time. For the budget they had, it’s truly an achievement. Kudos to the makers for giving us one for the books.

To date, the best Chinese BL in my opinion
I don't write reviews very often, but this series was truly something remarkable. China is not really known to give good BLs due to the fact that it is banned there, but this was an exception. This gave me HIstory vibes so much and was amazing from the acting, the production, everything was perfect. I loved every moment of it. I'm also glad that in the end, Chi Cheng's parents seemed to accept Wei Wei. I hope there's a second season. I want to see Chi Cheng's and Wei Wei's wedding as well as Xiao Shuai and Yu Sheng's life together as well, running the restaurant and clinic. If not, I will miss this series a lot. The actors were just perfect. From start to finish, this was a perfect drama series in my eyes and completely rewatchable without a doubt. If you're hesitating to watch this, don't. It is one of the best BLs of 2025 in my opinion and a hidden diamond. To all the cast members, you should be very proud of yourselves. You made an amazing series come to life and it touched many fan's hearts as well as made more fans of you all. Thank you. 谢谢你Was this review helpful to you?
REVENGED LOVE: The Drama That Took My Heart ❤️, Shook My Emotions ?, and Stole My Sleep ?
Finally, Revenged Love has ended… and honestly, I’m not okay 😩. Who gave them permission to end it this soon?! I was emotionally invested, mentally unavailable, and physically glued to my screen 📺. From the mains to the supporting cast — I loved every single one of them 💕. Even the messy ones. Especially the messy ones.Chi Cheng 💼🔥 — Let’s be real, in the beginning, he was as problematic as a phone with 1% battery and no charger in sight 📱⚠️. But… love changes people 💖. And Chi Cheng showed us the ultimate glow-up ✨. He’s the type of man who doesn’t play games 🎯 — when he’s in love, he says it. Straight. To. Your. Face. No waiting for “signs,” no confusing text messages. King behavior 👑.
Wu Suo Wei 😂💡 — The king of chaos 👑🔥. The master of making you laugh while also making you emotional 😭. When they said Revenged Love, I thought we’d get something dark and intense 🌪️. But Wu Suo Wei said, “Nah, let’s do petty but adorable instead 😏💘.” You can almost predict his moves 🎬 — but somehow, it’s still hilarious when he does them 🤣. And his love story with Chi Cheng? Pure sweetness 🍯.
Guo Cheng Yu 🤝🛡️ — Proof that real friendships survive everything 🙌. No matter how many emotional punches 🥊 he and Chi Cheng threw at each other, their bond stayed unbreakable 🧱. Loyalty level: unshakable 💯.
Jiang Xiao Shuai 🧠🦊 — The mastermind, the teacher 📚, the “I-know-everything” friend we all need 🤓. His schemes with Wu Suo Wei were the kind of chaos I live for 💥. Also, his romance with Guo Cheng Yu? Chef’s kiss 👩🍳💋.
Yue Yue 💃💔 — Girl… your love life was like ordering food online 🍜📦 and realizing the driver went to the wrong address 🚫. But your character was so relatable because, honestly, many people don’t know what they truly want until it’s too late ⏳.
Weng Shuo 😎🖤 — Sir, disorder or not, you acted your heart out 🎭. Also… you’re ridiculously handsome 😍, so I forgive half your crimes 🚨.
At the end of the day, Revenged Love was more than just a drama 🎬. It was an emotional rollercoaster 🎢 with unexpected loops, funny twists 😂, and moments that had me screaming at my screen like I was part of the cast 🎤.
Final Verdict: 10/10 🌟 — Would watch again, even if it breaks my heart twice 💔💔.
Warning: You will fall in love 💘 with at least two characters. And you will miss them when it’s over 😭.

How do you even review a series that’s practically perfect?
Especially one packed with subtle metaphors and emotional layers? Honestly, I could talk about Revenged Love for hours. I’m obsessed with intense stories, complex characters, and plots that blend romance, drama, and a touch of eroticism. I especially love couples that break the mold, not the usual “cute and fluffy,” but raw, messy, and deeply provocative. And Revenged Love hit every single one of those marks. It was so gripping, I found myself counting down the days to each new episode. A total emotional rollercoaster : I laughed, I cried (episode 19 had me in tears from start to finish), I screamed, I swooned. The show balanced chaos (which I adored) with moments of tenderness, drama, and sweetness, all in perfect measure.
It also features one of my favorite tropes: enemies to lovers. After being dumped and humiliated by his ex, Wu Suo Wei decides to get revenge by seducing her new boyfriend, Chi Cheng. What starts as a manipulative scheme quickly spirals into something deeper, more intense, and emotionally ambiguous.
They couldn't have chosen a more perfect cast to bring these complex, flawed, and emotionally ambiguous characters to life with so much authenticity. Because the highlight of the series are Wei Wei and Chi Cheng, with their tension-filled glances and layered dialogue constantly dancing between teasing and confession; Guo Cheng Yu and Jiang Xiao Shaui, were less explosive but equally intense. The chemistry between the two couples and between the four characters felt so real, so genuine, so believable, so charismatic. Zi Yu, in particular, was fenomenal. His facial expressions alone told entire stories. He could be sweet one moment, seductive the next, and heartbreakingly vulnerable right after.
Watching these characters grow emotionally, from revenge to real feelings, through a messy but meaningful healing process, was incredibly rewarding. I’m already looking forward to seeing these actors in future projects, together (hopefully!) or on their own.
The art direction was stunning. They used LGBTQIA+ colors in such a subtle, symbolic way, not just as decoration, but as emotional cues woven into the story. Whether it was the pride flag on Jiang Xiao Shaui’s clinic, the intimate scenes between Guo Cheng Yu and Jiang Xiao Shaui, or the way each color reflected a stage in the protagonists’ relationship, it felt like the show painted the flag into their emotions rather than just hanging it on a wall.
Visually, the series embraced a bold, urban aesthetic, with neon lighting, androgynous decor, and gender-fluid fashion, all reinforcing the characters’ identities and creating a space where emotional and sexual fluidity felt natural and unapologetic.
Huge thanks to the entire team for pouring their hearts into this project and giving us this little gem, despite all the challenges. I truly hope this marks a turning point for Chinese BL dramas toward more freedom, more depth, and more stories like this.
P.S. Whether intentional or not, I loved how Revenged Love gave a subtle nod to ABO Desire in its early episodes. Both series are part of a growing wave of Chinese BL dramas that dare to explore bold, emotionally intense themes and that fight to exist in spite of censorship.

This was amazing!!
I watched every episode at least 3 times before last episode aired. I loved it so much! I even shed a few tears when the last episode was finished, just because i realised this was really the end of this beautifull journey. I loved looking foreward to the episodes every week.I will definatly watch tis drama many more times in the future.
It had a great story, stunning visuals, fantastic music and good music effects.
I also loved the little easter eggs at the end of each episode.
The edition of the snakes was a big plus, it brought something completely new to this drama.
I laughed, cried and my hart fluttered many times. It even had some thrilling moments.
The actors all did a great job, the casting of each actor for the character they played was perfect!
Zhao Ming Chuan as Li Gang / "Gang Zi" was sooo funny!!
The dynamics and chemistry between Guo Cheng Yu and Jiang Xiao Shuai was also very good.
I loved Chi Cheng, turning from the biggest asshole to the best loving boyfriend. His dry demeanor, his teasing.
He was very rough with Wo Suo Wei, but never really hurt him. The moment they had sex for the first time he was quite gentle. He was bad, but respectfull in the moments that counted the most. Chi Cheng never assaulted him, every time Wei Wei said NO! he stopped what he was doing.
And Wu Suo Wei was also so amazing, i really loved his facial expressions.
The dynamics and chemistry between these two actors was off the charts!!
The last episode was just soo perfect! The best finale we could have wanted.
The only thing that bothered me was in the first episode when Chi Cheng ordered a bunch of guys to Sexually assault the guy who betrayed him. But i think they added that to portray Chi Cheng as a very brutal person. I always keep in mind that i am watching a fictional drama.

The summer of Love, Revenge that gave memories
I really never have written any reviews because they take time and I am lazy but I had to write a review for Revenged Love. I have said it multiple times that RL is not a series for me; it is an emotion that swept me off my feet and threw me into a space where I could only see happiness. Yes RL was my dopamine pill, it was like a drug that I still cant get enough. Let me give an overview first.STORY : 8.5/10
Very cliche story actually. It was not special. This kind of plot enemies to lovers is very common in BL. Back in 2019 when BL first started people liked this kind of lowkey cliche plot where the roles were assigned very typically. WSW came from a poor household, CC lives in rich household. These type of story you will notice in many og dramas PLUS the most common 2nd lead with bottom having trauma issues. CC is very reckless kid, hurt from love nothing special. People dont really understand how bad the story is since i had a glimpse of the og novel. Not to mention Chai Jidan wrote it back in 201X so its been a decade since RL was first written so I expected it to have many drawbacks.
So how did the drama excel to make people immersed in it?
The only answer that came to my mind is Cinematography. The art of portraying Love through the lens varies director-wise. and with no doubt the director did a fantastic job capturing the simplicity of Revenged Love which a lot of the fans missed for last few years. I like the angle shots and in the ep where they shot WSW's mom's funeral it was outstanding. i really liked some of the parts of the story like
1. Where GCY was comforting XS in the bar and he took him home and even though he could take advantage of XS he restrained himself and comforted XS and fought with Meng Tao and took revenge for XS
2. The part where CC and WSW reunited after 6 long days. The kiss was very longing and passionate. I like that cinematography, the muted colors of the background so much.
3. The part where Dabao found the candies in the fridge and smiled so brightly. Cc was looking at him so lovingly.
4. The part where Dabao's mom passed away and the bright colors that was depicting the fantasy of WSW turned muted taking him back to reality.
5. The ending where CC searched everywhere for the tree and planted it in the garden. It was romantic
6. The car crying for both WSW and CC broke my heart into million pieces but it was brilliantly shot
7. The ending ep where GCY and XS kissed!! OMG GCY is such a green flag. I loved that story where GCY said something like "Xiaoshuai you can focus loving the world, while I focus on loving you" I DIED
Now every story has plot loops. Where could have been improved?
1. The beginning felt very stretched. The ending felt very short and messy. I understand the plot development, the chemistry development was needed but then the story could have had more than 24 eps. We wouldnt mind getting another few eps actually.
2. Wang Shuo is one of the complex characters I have seen yet his story was messy. I wish I could see more to his character because Liu Jun is remarkable as an actor but at the same time the show somewhat tried to forecast another kind of relation between the brothers. As i read the novel ik that there is nothing btw them but for newcomers it might get confusing. I agree with some that I would rather prefer to watch CC and WSW cut moments than the Wang brothers.
3. There were so many shots actually that could make the watch interesting but they didnt include it. Thats quite heartbreaking.
4. I feel the whole Meng Tao incident was very rushed... I wanted to know more in depth, wanted to see Meng Tao suffer more but it was kind of lacking
5. The end eps felt like a big wave. It just came and went. I felt no attachment with the plot except the ChiWei and GuoShuai moments.
ACTING : 10/10
I have absolutely NO WORDS. every single crew did absolutely best job in acting. I dont believe who gave the acting less than 10 because hell no the acting was less deserving. The chemistry between the characters was palpable. I have never EVER seen such good chemistry between two men before. May be its them who got me addicted. Dont get me wrong I dont ship Tian and Ziyu irl like toxic fans but I admire that they devoted themselves to the characters fully.
Ziyu is amazing actor. He delivered such emotional and impactful scene. He got so immersed in his role that he and WSW became one soul but i understand his position because both the characters and him are very similar with struggles. Tian on the other hand showed another version of himself. CC came to life bcs of him. His impactful performance left me in awe. I was like is this the same man i saw in other dramas?? His micro expressions were everything. it was as if he was speaking with his eyes. His eyes softened when looking at Dabao and another scene gave strong dom vibe when his Dabao was hurt. CC what a man you are and Tian what an actor you are. ESPECIALLY the jail scene where CC was sobbing I literally cried so hard
I would kiss the hand of the person who casted the side couple. Zhan Xuan is just so good playing Guo Cheng Yu!!! I cant imagine anyone but him as GCY now. I love how he softened the character. Added his own touch and how caring he was to Ziyu and Xuancheng. I admire his skills. Man was too excited for kiss but then got shy when he was about to kiss. The real show was the BTS of his scenes. He is a cutie who delivered strong act through the role. I admire him and his devotion to the character. LXC I have no words. I had seen his acting in Moon and Dust (reels) and i didnt have doubt and he is so young!! he was 19 when RL was shot thats literally very young age and to deliver such emotional depth performance !! the last scene where he is crying, the anxiety scene from the Meng Tao confrontations were my fav of his acting. He looked so soft and he really described the role pretty well. His acting was memorable the most for me.
Side cast - Liu Jun did so great acting that I cant hate Wang Shuo!! He looked like a psychopath but I loved him so much. WZ actor was okay but he did not really caught my eyes. Yueyue actor was so pretty!!!! She could have been with me but she made the character very annoying which shows that yes she did her job the best.
All the actors did such good job. I cant even describe much about them. It hurts to say goodbye that I cant see the CPs anymore. It was really a remarkable experience from the actors. They made me cry and laugh and blush. I will miss my summer that was full of them
MUSIC : 10/10
People really???? The ones giving low rating... are you deaf?? The opening sung by Ziyu is my happy pill!! Every Monday and Tuesday starts with that exact song. It makes me so happy!! I downloaded it in my spotify and yt music and i listen to it everyday. The ending song by Zhan Xuan is an underrated GEM. the mellow and soft vocals are really something else. The bittersweet music... when i looked in the sunset sky and the music starts playing... another experience. Somewhere in your eyes by Paper Swans have become my favorite music!! It is so soft and beautiful. Other music like Just the beginning or Broken Promise or Solo Driving... all of them were beautiful and they will stay in my heart forever. The music will bring back the memories I spent my summer in. My happiest summer.
REWATCH VALUE : 9.5/10
I personally cant move on. I think revenged love is that kind of drama that you watch but never feel enough satisfied. You can rewatch it again and I feel you will feel still the same as before may be better. But again its my assumption. It might be different for you. For me RL will be forever number 1.
I liked the chemistry a lot. I do think the dubbing was a bit weird... But i really like CC's va he did a great job. His voice really made me forgot Tian's actual voice LOL. I just fell so hard for every character. I love all of them. It is so hard for me to say goodbye when I got so attached. I love it so bad. I wish it could be longer, I wish they could post the BTS more, I wish they could appear tgt in public... but its all wishes and never true... I really hope the actors stay happy and healthy. I wish to support their future works. I admire all of them a lot. Thank you everyone to bear with me. I loved RL.

Great ride.
Loved this show.Pros:
Great-looking 4 main characters, especially Wu Suo-wei, who had the best smile.
Good acting by everyone. Chi was restrained, but effective in his portrayal.
Music very good. Production decent, in the cinematography. But most of the places shown (the apartments, office etc.) were overly luxurious.
Ending great. Nice length. Great chemistry between couples -- lots of touching and hugging, not just sex. Loved the Viki timed comments by viewers, but a few people were posting spoilers.
Cons:
Lots of confusing plot lines, especially the bit with the snakes for several episodes in the middle. Snakes kind of look alike, and with multiple swapping, stealing, etc, was very confusing. Another confusing plot line was Wang, and yet another was something about a restaurant.
Dragging plot in the middle, focusing on these confusing plot lines.
The whole part with the brothers Wang was overdone. Too much screen time for that drama. Yue-Yue's scenes were at least briefer, and she wasn't as hateful as the crazy Wang. Overall, I don't like ex-focused dramas.
Overall, the pros far outweighed the cons.
Would love a second series.

Just watch it - You will eventually fall in love
When I first found out that Revenged love was Counter attack I was really excited cause the series counter attack didn’t really have anything exciting the acting of the actors was also bland. But for revenged love.. I would just like to say OH MY GADDD it really gave me bunch of emotions this series gave me days to look forward to in weeks. I developed a bond with this series.Overall the story is okay okay, it’s the actor’s acting, the chemistry between them and the emotional pangs they give that made this series a really good one. Cause if you really look into the plot there are scenes in the story that are twisted if it happens in real life. The character Chi Cheng he struggled with his ex for about six years then Wu Suo Wei also had initially approached him with the motive of revenge even though later he did fall in love with him. If you look into these scene and compare them in real life they are twisted but it’s a series a drama so I can ignore them people are not all good even in real life but this is a drama and the characters can be anything have any kind of personality.
Lastly, I really really recommend watching it cause overall it’a a 10/10 the actors have really worked hard to bring out the emotions of characters into action. Kudos to all the actors❤️❤️
