It's literally so amazing. Not even overhyped at all. I'm so happy that the actors were able to pull off their roles without it feeling forced. They have so much chemistry together. That doesn't only apply to the main couple either....loterally EVERYBODY has chemistry together. The storyline is really good even though the later episodes made me so mad because they lacked communication...ugh. But yes I love love love this. Nothing will beat the feeling of those weeks waiting for the next episode to come out and staying up until 8am just to watch it when I had nothing better to do LOL.

Ziyu looks like my first love

Yes that's right. He reminds me of my first love. To be honest, at first I was curious as to why the series was so popular, so I decided to try watching and found out that Wu suo wei really looks like my highschool first love. Along the way I enjoyed and love the story, the acting and of course the actors.

But what really amazed me and got me so hooked was the way the main leads (not to be biased but I love the 2nd couple too), were like destined to play the roles so well that both on and off cam, really shows their chemistry and feelings for each other; that you might think and (I wish) they're really a couple, but of course, it's just a dream.

I love how detailed the series is, and despite having a low budget, they were able to bring out a high quality drama.

This is definitely worth to watch and dont forget to watch the behind the scenes as well because you can see how they close and how loving they can be 😅

YOU WILL FALL IN LOVE

Firstly, it has been a long time since a BL has had me in such a chokehold. In between release dates, I would find myself going and checking to see if maybe God took pity on me, and there would be another episode out. I was transfixed. The main couple had me kicking my feet and giggling in some parts, and then clutching my chest, crying the next. The chemistry between both couples was so beautiful to experience. I was scared asf when there was a pause in the release schedule. I was like "NOOOOOO" they cannot treat me the way they did Addicted, but they were merciful. I am so glad I got to watch this drama. It was so good. I recommend everyone who will listen to watch this drama. However, do not start with this drama because all other dramas will be ruined for you. Revenged love was honestly a work of art.

Okay, let's talk about my biggest pet peeve when watching Cdramas-I refuse to use earphones. Why? bcs the dubbing/ lip-syncing is so off it physically hurts me. I get why they do it (mandarin dialects, post-production fixes, etc), but come on -when the lips move like they're in a badly dubbed kung fu movie from the '80s, it's distracting. Half the time, I had to turn the volume down just to cope. The voices themselves? fine. The mismatch? painful :)

And don't even get me started on the props, they holding "invisible" phones with the screen blatantly showing the wallpaper? sipping from clearly empty cups like they're mocking us? bruh. If you're gonna fake it, at least commit. These tiny details matter-and trust me, I'm not the only one noticing 👍🏻

Now, the chemistry? Chef's kiss. No complaints there

The plot? mehhh. They cut out the best parts of the novel (classic move), but whatever, I've made peace with it

Overall? solid 7.5/10. would I rewatch? ... let me think about it (aka probably nah)

updating as i go along (don't watch if you have snake phobia)

I started this as I couldn't avoid it on TikTok, everyone is talking about it. Its pretty good but still falls to censoring and a dull ending. The kisses are very fish like and not natural, the dubbing is weird in places where there is a lot of unnecessary breathing sounds.

good points:
- Interesting plot - not too complex
- great acting
- sexual tension .

Bad points:
- Lots of snakes (can be hard to watch for some people)
- First few episodes are a bit slow to pick up pace
- Falls off towards the end

1st ep - I love that the main character is from a poor background and has many struggles with life and love, this makes him interesting. The Love interest is also intriguing and seems complex so far.

2nd ep - Chi Cheng tries really hard to woo Wu Suo Wei by learning all about him and getting deeper into his business. The progression is interesting and the pace is good. The ex girlfriend is defiantly getting hurt by going for him when he's using her. I like the second ML doctor. The flirting and butt grabbing has started !

3rd ep - Wu Suo Wei is not showing his bad guy side so much this ep which is a shame, a lot of focus on buying and selling snakes. A bit of flirting. This ep was a bit dull.

4th ep - Chi Cheng is working out his feelings and they have a forced kiss as he says he liked wu suo wei to try and keep him away from his ex. Chi Cheng seems to have taken on more than he bargained for and freaks out.

Good points: Great acting and cast. Interesting plot and characters.

Bad points: Unnecessary gang r**e scene in first episode, the audio dubbing is off-putting and in some places feels unnatural (i know it is common for Chinese dramas to record the voices post production and add later but it feels a bit off in some places).

A Completed Goal That Lead To Romance! One Of The Best BL Of 2025!

Alright so here is my final review. This series is hands down one of the BEST BL I've seen in a long time. One of the best BL of 2025!!! This is easily one of my top favorite BL overall. I am adding this one to my favorite BL series!!! I should have started this sooner and now I can't get over it! I am obsessed with this show!!! I can understand the hype of this show now! I will say this. It may be the BEST BL for me this year. Some of the other ones I am watching currently doesn't really give me the feeling like I have for this series! What have this show done to me!!??

First thing first, I am glad that Chai Ji Dan choose to remake this BL telling the whole story without cutting out all the "explict" and men's kissing scenes! It doesn't feel complete without it honestly. Counterattack (the old version) was good and also funny, but this version is 10x better, 10x funnier, and the chemistry is top notch! I remember years ago, I was so devastated that they didn't continue Counterattack and left at a cliff hanger. I was so heart-broken then, but now I am healed from all those years of the cliff hangers. I got to see the entire story now! I am so happy and so emotional because I always wanted to see a completed Chinese BL that wasn't censored or anything like that. "Addicted" hurted me a lot cuz the story was cut in half and it was a Chinese BL I was so into back then too. At least this show gave me the satisfaction! Literally! I'm so happy that I am about to cry now! If Chinese BL were not censored, they would easily beat a lot of the BL from other countries.

There's some issue and toxicity on this show, but honestly, it adds to the story lol. I usually don't care for the 2nd couple, but this show got me wanting the happy ending for both the main couple and side couple. All of the casts were eye-candy af and they were all really good actors overall. Tian Xu Ning as Chi Cheng is literally his role. The emotions he conveys throughout the show as Chi Cheng was one of the big factor on making this show really great I feel. I love all the actors equally honestly though. I'm sure at this point the actors gain lots of popularity and they truly deserve it because they did really good in this show! I really wish them the best and they quite fearless to still act in a BL honestly. I pray the best for all of the actors and crew behind this incredible show!

The story and pacing was on point. Never did I felt like the story seems dry or boring at any point. This show had good amount of the sexiness, the sexual tensions, and the build-ups. It also have equal amount of comedy scenes, lovey-dovey scenes, heart-warming scenes, and scenes that moves the entire story really well. The ending was perfect on it's own because all the characters re-united for one last time. All I wanted was a happy ending and I got that too lol. Now that I finished the show, the OST is growing onto me too. It's gonna take me awhile to get over this show now 😞.

If they have a boxset or some kind of official merchandise, I am literally supporting them. Take my money!!! Lol

Revenged Love is truly a masterpiece that touched my heart from beginning to end. The plot is filled with emotions, intensity and beautifully crafted storytelling that keeps you connected with every scene.The chemistry between the actors is absolutely amazing, especially between Tian Xuning (as Chi Cheng) and Ziyu (as Wo Suwei). Their performances felt so natural and genuine that I couldn’t stop rooting for their characters. They brought the emotions of love, pain and healing to life in such a powerful way.I want to give special love and respect to my favorite actor Tian Xuning. His acting was outstanding every expression, every moment felt so real and heartfelt. He has a unique way of pulling the audience into the character’s emotions and I truly admire his talent and dedication.The entire cast and crew deserve appreciation for creating such a beautiful drama. From the direction, writing, cinematography to the music everything came together perfectly. Thank you for giving us Revenged Love a story that will stay with fans for a long time.
