Beautifully Chaotic
This was a good watch overall. It’s one of the longer BL series I’ve seen, and while the extended runtime allowed for deeper character development, it also came with a whirlwind of twists and turns—sometimes a bit too much. There were moments when the drama felt excessive, bordering on melodramatic, but the emotional payoff in key scenes made it worth sticking through. What stood out most to me was the evolution of the characters. You really get to see how their relationships grow—not just romantically, but in how they learn to care for and protect each other. Visually, the series has an expensive, polished feel. The actors have great chemistry. They look good together on screen. That said, the series leans heavily into dramatic tropes. At times, it felt like the plot was trying to outdo itself with each episode, which could be overwhelming. I will give this series 3.5 out of 5 stars. A visually stunning, emotionally rich series that occasionally overindulges in drama but ultimately leaves a lasting impression.Was this review helpful to you?

Revenged Love is something we all wanted in a BL — characters who are obsessed with each other yet still have a very healthy relationship. We can see the effort they pour into keeping their love strong. We loved how friendships saved and supported the characters — without them, everything would have been messy.This drama proves just how powerful Chinese BLs can be. The passion. The yearning. The hurt. The makeup scenes. The muahhh kisses. and the angst. Thank you, RL, for giving us the imperfectly perfect BL ever.

imma miss this serie
it’s not often i can finish a 20+ episode series, because keeping the interesting stuff for more than 14 episodes is difficult. but they did very well here and was so well I didn’t want it to end.I’m loving the cast even though ive never seen them before I began watching this series.
it’s fun too see new faces and new acting, their acting is very good. loved that this series felt so natural in the acting roles.
and i wonder what i will do with my life now when i finished this.

From Toxic To Sweet
Overall, it was quite enjoyable. Especially in the first half, there were a lot of funny and even cute moments. But towards the end, especially the last episode, it was okay. I felt like the very last issue wasn't really needed because it just made me annoyed at Chi Cheng's parents especially his father. I get that they wanted to show Wu SuoWei's love as well but still not as impactful for me.There was one episode that I really disliked and it has a very sexual assault feel to it that I just couldn't shake. I didn't find Chi Cheng's pushy nature towards Wu Suo Wei appealing because of which I almost didn't want to give this a 9. So trigger warning for those who don't like iffy consent themes.
I liked the second couple as well and they are green flags and more emotionally mature so ideally I wanted to see more of them as well but happy we got something at least.
It's quite entertaining if you don't mind red flag leads especially in the first half. Lots of drama you keep one interested.

BL OF THE YEAR AWARD GOES TO....
I miss ChiWie, I kid you not, it is by far the best series, I've watched this year and the best that I'll probably watch.I don't usually write reviews, especially good ones, but I had to for this series because it was SO GOOD.
I barely have any complaints, just a few, like that communication problem, but really, that's all, well, also the Wand Shou situation, which I think could've been handled better from both sides, but that's all.
I have NEVER cried at a series ending, but I cried at this one. I genuinely feel so empty rn, I don't know what to look forward to anymore, like this series was my drug, my cocaine, my everything that I looked forward to to go by the week...now? I don't know what to do anymore. I feel like I need to go to therapy☹️ I'm so lost.
I LOVE this show's comedy, it was done VERY WELL, especially in the starting episodes where WSW is still "chasing" CC. I also LOVED WSW and JXS's friendship and even CC and GCY's friendship that we got to see later on. I also LOVED the character development and improvement we saw from all the characters, especially the main couple. CC actually became a green flag, and WSW became much more confident and proud of their relationship, and at the end, fully embraced it. GCY also became such a green flag after realizing his feelings for JXS, and JXS actually broke down the walls he had built from his old relationship.
When WSW told his parents about CC and praised him>>>>> and when he was willing to sacrifice everything or CC>>>>>> and when CC fixed his hair before coming into the room to meet WSW at the prison 😭
I can go on and on bout this series, but I'll end it with this series is a MASTERPIECE.😍

MOST HANDSOME CAST EVER
he miscommunications in this drama are honestly ridiculous, but I’m still completely hooked and addicted. The casting is spot-on every actor is so handsome. The whole snake thing is a bit weird, but aside from that, everything else is amazing. The doctor and his friend are absolutely the cutest duo ever. The story has real depth and touches on everything.And don’t even get me started on Chi Cheng, he’s insanely possessive in the best way. The steamy scenes are perfect! I was so tired of BL dramas with shy kisses and just hand-holding. Finally, someone made a drama like this—I’ve been waiting for it!

So I almost dropped it because the first couple of episodes weren't great but so glad I didn't. This show is amazing! Between this and Desire China is killing it! Already know I'm going to watch this several more times. I absolutely enjoyed this series — I loved it! People really need to stop sleeping on Chinese dramas, because they’re seriously underrated. Both the usual couples and the BL ones are so well done.This was my first time seeing the entire cast, and I have to say: the casting team deserves a raise. They did such a fantastic job putting together this group, and it really shows in how well each actor portrayed their character. Even the actor who played Chi Cheng’s driver was hilarious and felt so genuine.
As I got toward the end of the show, I wasn’t exactly upset, but I did feel a bit confused. I felt like Wei Wei and Chi Cheng didn’t express their feelings as openly as the honesty they shared deserved. But then I realized — they’re the perfect representation of “actions speak louder than words.”
Overall, this series was a great watch. It strikes that perfect balance between drama, comedy, and action. Honestly, it’s wonderful.

Praise from a Fan
I'm glad that the novel 'Counterattack' got another shot at production. As a fan who has read the novel years ago and have watched the first adaptation of the story, Revenged Love did a great job. I have to give props to the directors for keeping to original plot as much as possible. And the acting was top tier, there were no dull moments or any part that felt dragged. The pacing and the building of storyline was just right. The chemistry between the couples were believable and genuine, it didn't feel force or that any of the actors felt uncomfortable with each other. Chiwei i will never forget yall
this bl just changed my summer and my brain chemistry. I loved it so much every episode was a true masterpiece and soo enjoyable, the way i was in a chokehold waiting for the episodes says it all, i was a little sad because it ended so quickly leaving me with a bittersweet feeling, i was not ready to let them go at all. This series became very special to me and i will definitely rewatch it, i can say that this just became my favorite bl. i can’t let them go 😔😔😔😔i’m so attached to them now idk what i’ll do after tomorrow, but it was such a lovely time with them im so glad i watched this show it had no boring episodes and the storyline was so good and it was very well paced! the acting was so phenomenal, the actors gave life to characters so well! i hope tian , ziyu , zhan xuan and liu xuan cheng the best for their future i hope all them can be successful because they deserve it so much all of them are very talented they were a perfect cast 🩷

THE BEST ENTERTAINING BL SERIES EVER
I have never written a review before, so this will be my first time writing a review because this series really deserves one. I am going to miss this series so much, I'm going to miss Wu Suo Wei and Jiang Xiao Shuai's scheming and friendship, the funny moments and humour between them , the charming and alluring personality of Chi Cheng , the tension between Guo Chengyu and Chi cheng , the non stop flirting of Guo Chengyu with Jiang Xiao Shuai, the sexual tension between all four of them is so sexy and compelling to watch. This series had everything I ever wanted in a series , the humour, the tension, the complexity, the drama, the darkness, the emotions. I loved this series so much, it's so entertaining, fun and sexy to watch. The storyline doesn't make you feel bored even for a minute.I have watched a lot of BL dramas but I used to get bored in the later episodes and just wanted it to finish in the end, but this series really made me anticipate every episode because it was so interesting to watch it. This series made me cry and laugh so much, I don't want this series to ever end. If this series even goes on and on , I would still keep watching it because it's so interesting and refreshing unlike any other series , every character in this series is complex and captivating, which gives more flavours to the characters and you get more curious to know and understand them.
The actors Tian Xu Ning, Ziyu, Zhan Xuan, Liu Xuan Cheng did such a good job portraying their characters so well that I felt every pain, every joy, every emotion with them. This series filled me with so much emotions and feelings, these 2 months were the best time I had in 2025. I'm gonna support all of them in their future projects, I just want them to be happy and successful in whatever they do. This drama will always have a special place in my heart and now that it's over , it feels a little empty inside. I highly recommend this series to anyone who wants to have an amazing time and wants to watch the best, entertaining and fun BL series to ever exist...
