i have never been more emotionally attached to a bl.
this show has it's flaws, some worse than others, but i think it just adds to the charm.
the casting is PERFECT. i truly couldn't think of better actors to play these characters. the chemistry is so strong, not only between the couples, but between all the characters. their interactions felt so natural.
a hats off to tian xuning especially. chi cheng may be troubled, but he knows how to keep a show entertaining. incredible work.
the plot twists and turns in all sorts of ridiculous ways and some things just didn't make sense. i can't leave a review without speaking on my gripes with the 7-8 episodes worth of misunderstandings, lack of communication, and unreasonable drama. i just choose to blame wang shuo and pretend it didn't happen. nevertheless, it's so hard to not love this series. i'll absolutely be revisiting. so much kudos to everyone who worked on it.

A Comedic, Stressful and Intriguing Therapy—All in One Drama

Started this because of the hype, and the BTS scenes that flooded my fyp. I initially though that I'd get bored since it has 24 episodes—and I just came back from watching lots of JBL dramas which are commonly short series.

However, this drama kept me hooked up with every scene and dialogue. All actors acted very well, and the scenes are well-executed.

TXN’s eyes are speaking to me through the screen. And his acting really gave life to CC’s “badass but soft for WSW” character. And of course, Ziyu is all but boring. He embodied WSW and gave color to the series with his comedic and dramatic expressions.

The second couple, my XuanXuan couple is also very fun to watch. Their story also intrigued me, and had me kicking my feet in the air. Their chemistry is very very well-used here.

Moreover, I loved the reconciliation part of WS. Although I initially hated his character, I later on understood the complexity of his actions. He is not the typical flat villain that just keeps on getting bad every episode—he had that comedic and stressful tone too.

I must say, this drama is a total must-rewatch. I'll definitely do when I have the time again.

The ML has so much aura

I really like bisexual mlm tropes so the chemistry and jokes and atmosphere between the leads was such a delight. However, the relationship did start a bit off considering one of them is openly bi and the other is convinced he is straight.

The symbolism of snakes throughout the show always delivers something unique and never seen before in any other mlm romance plot. This also elevated the ML’s freaking. AURA. The way he walks, sits, puffs his cigarettes, talks in low voice, his influence and power, and not to mention his SNAKES make him such a deadly yet charming character. Honestly, he is super hot.

Revenged Love is peak. I’m obsessed.

Revenged Love is a masterpiece of toxic yearning, unprocessed feelings, and absolutely feral sexual tension wrapped in a revenge plot.

Wu Suo Wei’s plan to seduce the man who “stole” his ex should’ve been a disaster, but what unfolds is a story that’s as messy as it is magnetic. Enemies to lovers done so right with sharp banter, jealousy, unresolved trauma, and enough emotional damage to keep you spiraling for hours after each episode. And let’s not skip over the spicy scenes, subtle but intense. They didn’t need to show everything; the tension, the way they look at each other? It’s art. Give that acting a standing ovation.

And don’t even get me started on the chemistry. These two could set off smoke alarms just by standing next to each other. I don’t care if it’s toxic, I will be seated for every second of their emotional rollercoaster. I haven’t shipped a pair this hard since 2019, and THEY’RE NOT EVEN REAL.

They had me in a chokehold. I was writing this, questioning why other BLs even try.

Final rating: 100/10. I will never emotionally recover, and I don’t want to. Revenged Love is peak. I’m obsessed.
