Revenge plan??? Nah, it turned into the cutest love story ? (my freaking honest rev)
Even though this story is still ongoing., I already know this series is one of the best I’ve watched. It’s super cute, funny, and every episode keeps me excited. The pacing is just right, and the chemistry between the leads is amazing 😭 Nothing feels forced or awkward — everything feels natural and sweet. I smile like crazy in every episode and didn’t skip a single second. The story keeps getting better and the characters are so lovable. This series (REVENGED LOVE) is truly worth watching — no regrets at all💙

? Revenge, Love, and Everything in Between ?
I’m not usually a BL enthusiast, but Revenged Love unexpectedly popped up in my algorithm — and I’m so glad it did. At first, watching it felt stressful, not because of the story itself, but due to my own inner conflict and expectations. The tension between curiosity and comfort was real. But once I let go of that psychological burden and simply allowed myself to experience the drama, I was rewarded with one of the most emotionally layered series I’ve seen in a long time. This isn’t just a story about revenge or romance — it’s about emotional evolution. Beneath the witty banter and fiery confrontations lies a deeply human tale of misunderstanding, trust, and the courage to face one’s own feelings. The leads, Wu Suo Wei (WW) and Chi Cheng (CC), portray this beautifully. Their dynamic — strong yet vulnerable, dominant yet gentle — shows what it truly means to love someone without losing yourself.
WW’s journey from suspicion to emotional awareness, and CC’s struggle between control and surrender, mirror the reality of many relationships: love built not on power, but on acceptance and understanding. Their chemistry unfolds from sharp clashes to quiet tenderness — and yes, it’s absolute chef’s kiss. That “Alpha vs. Alpha” energy? It makes your screen sizzle and your cheeks blush 😉.
Beyond the romance, Revenged Love explores family expectations, societal pressure, and personal identity with nuance and depth. Every actor embodies their role with conviction, making each scene feel alive and meaningful. The directors and crew deserve a standing ovation for crafting a drama that’s equal parts passionate, emotional, and thoughtful.
From someone who didn’t expect to fall this deep… but totally did ❤️. This drama is a heartfelt reminder that love — in all its forms — is still love. And that’s something beautiful to witness.
Highly recommended if you crave romance with heart, depth, and just the right dose of spicy tension. Just be warned: high risk of emotional attachment, low chance of regret… and yes, it might make your screen sizzle and your cheeks blush 😉.

If Chinese BL s are like THIS, I need MORE!
This is sooo good, I saw reviews before watching it, I knew it would be interesting, but really didn't expect it. Couldn't get my eyes off it, finished in 2 days. The mainc character is soo sweet, pretty, funny, lovely and the other lead is brutal, but also kind hearted like old lovely Romcoms we are used too. They are so sweet, can't het them out of my head, there are two couples and loved both of them. Yes the scenes could be more explicit (coming from thai and Japanese BL lover) but it was still pretty good for Chinese BL, all of them are so lovely, gorgeous.
Honestly, I hate snakes, and was a little bit annoyed at first, but later it didn't bother me anyway.
I don't want to give spoilers, so I speak more about my emotions, the ML who looks very coldhearted is probably the most tolerant character of all the BLs I've watched.
Probably will stick to youtube shorts and tiktok reels for a while..

The crew working on this show changed the original text into something so much more. (but I guess no one is perfect)
Complex characters, good writing, both serious and silly - man the duality (xd)
I love a good falling in love as incident - came here for revenge but oops,
All of the show felt like smooth sailing to me, it was well paced. Music and cinematography created captivating scenes, sometimes beautiful and heartwreathing, but all in all worth all the whiles you have
/ps/ I feel Chi Cheng is the embodiment of what writers want their aloof MLs to be. (t least the one portrayed by TXN)
pps. In chinese shows they are all so thin, men, WSW is a bean
ppps. do NOT read the novel

Still has me in a cokehold
Its not like this needs another review but I feel inclined to put in my 2 cents, since I did not feel this earned all the 10 stars its getting. (Update at end)1st its good and definitely worth the watch, so dont skip it based on any reviews. Definitely give it a go (pass eps 5) to make your own judgment.
2nd while some people hate snakes and may avoid due to thier component, I actually am an avid snake lover and breeder (over 25 pet snakes currently)....so I have very different issues with the snakes than others. Breeding snakes is not like rabbits, its not just as easy as putting them together and getting clutches. Also the habitats WSW made were great but every other enclosure was wrong. Poor little jealous one living in that plastic box.
3rd all relationships are more complex than the writer suggest. I read from another review about the toxicity and general lack of knowledge/understanding of the writer about gay relationships.... and yes this story is very prejudiced and follows tons of misconceptions about gay relationships (predatory, aggressive, lacking consent, your either a top of bottom, if your attracted to the same sex you are gay and can not go back) and just misconceptions/misinformation about BDSM (heard this is worse in the book)
4th credit to the actors and production. It is a Chinese BL and china heavily censors so the things they pulled off and the ability to produce this on such a low budget and under such censorship is impressive. Also I did love all the actors. (I feel horrified by they way they are being treated by so called 'fans' after this dramas popularity has erupted)
5th I still kinda just felt the story was incomplete and had a few plot holes they could have fixed from the book. The ChiCheng and Chengyu sub plot. The Zheng brothers. The parents disdain (the text messages that suddenly stopped). WSW mothers passing. The random tax evasion.
So all in all a strong drama but maybe not the best ever.
* edited to add that I did go back and change it to a 10 star review, because I did, after the drama was finished, go read the novel and it has now been about six months and these two still have me in a chokehold. Issues I mentioned above are still valid and still true. There are still issues with the text and the script and a few minor plot holes and I still have issues with the way that the snakes were portrayed/treated.
But, oh my God, the chemistry kind of makes up for everything else.
The novel is good. It does do a better job of filling in those spots that are missing from the TV show and the TV show does a better job at relaying more updated beliefs, then the book (the book is more prejudiced, racist and definitely has some more outdated concepts--hate the parents in the book, they are less horriblein the show). So it's kind of like MDZS, where you kind of have to blend them together in your head....add to that all the behind the scenes that we've been fed, and it's like a whole other drama in my head at this point.

Revenged Love: From Revenge to Romance A Heartfelt BL Journey of Love, Growth, and Emotional Twists
Revenged Love is a 24-episode Chinese BL drama that tells the story of Wu Suo Wei (played by Zi Yu) and Chi Cheng (played by Tian Xu Ning). The series begins with Suo Wei seeking revenge on his ex-girlfriend, which eventually leads him to Chi Cheng, who is dating the ex. What starts as a plan for manipulation gradually transforms into genuine affection. The drama sets up a classic “revenge turns to love” arc while also exploring themes of social disparity, identity, and personal growth, giving it more depth than a typical romance. In the first third of the series (episodes 1–8), Suo Wei is focused on rebuilding his life and establishing a plan for revenge, while his encounters with Chi Cheng intensify the tension between them. Their rivalry is laced with humour, awkwardness, and subtle sparks of attraction, establishing the foundation for their complex relationship. During the middle episodes (9–16), the emotional stakes deepen as the revenge plot starts to unravel and the feelings between the main characters grow. Complications arise from family dynamics and personal insecurities, creating tension and highlighting the emotional vulnerability of both leads. The supporting couple, Guo Cheng Yu and Jiang Xiao Shuai, also start to appear more, adding quieter but meaningful subplots.
The final third of the series (episodes 17–24) ramps up the drama with high-stakes conflicts, health crises, and family interventions. While some viewers have noted that the pacing feels rushed toward the end, these episodes deliver the long-awaited resolution. Chi Cheng and Suo Wei finally come together, with their relationship accepted by family members, providing a satisfying emotional payoff. Notable moments throughout the series include Suo Wei realizing that his revenge plan has transformed into real love, tender “quiet couple” moments where their connection deepens, and the tension-filled family and health crises that challenge their bond. The supporting couple’s journey, especially Cheng Yu’s sacrifices for Shuai, adds emotional richness, while the final resolution leaves viewers with a sense of closure and happiness.
Overall, Revenged Love combines humor, tension, and heartfelt emotion, backed by strong production values and cinematography. The chemistry between the leads and the mix of light and serious tones are standout elements. While the pacing in the last episodes and some underdeveloped side plots might leave certain viewers wanting more, the series succeeds in delivering a compelling romantic journey with moments that are both touching and memorable. For fans of BL dramas with an “enemies-to-lovers” twist and emotional depth, this show is highly recommended, offering a satisfying blend of romance, personal growth, and heartfelt storytelling.

I finally watched it after hesitating
I finally decided to watch this series after some hesitation, fearing it would suddenly be banned mid-stream.This first review focuses on the storyline. I apologize, I haven't read the novel, but I've only seen a few spoilers. I found the story of this series interesting and quite fresh for me (since I've been watching ThaiBL more lately). The story begins with someone seeking revenge on their ex, but then finds true love. It might sound simple, but the story seems to change the personalities of many of the characters, which is very interesting.
However, this series has some toxic plot points that may be triggering for some viewers. There are several abusive acts explicitly depicted in the story. While some may be interested in these scenes, others may not. Unfortunately, the resolution of these abusive acts is poorly delivered, creating plot holes in the series. Like when Chi Cheng punished his subordinates who betrayed him to the R*** gang, but after that, there was no further explanation about his situation. After rewatching it, I felt that part made Chi Cheng's character feel uncertain. Initially, they wanted to show Chi Cheng's dirty and abusive character, but after that, they didn't continue, making it seem like his character was just a normal red flag, when in fact, it was more than that.
The second one is not delivering Xiao Shuai's trauma well. Even though they are only the second couple, I think the story should be highlighted well. Especially when there is a trigger that should trigger Xiao Shuai's trauma but in the scene it seems normal, such as when Weiwei's prank scene was about to commit suicide and Xiao Shuai found out. It would be better to show Xiao Shuai experiencing a trigger for Weiwei's actions, such as anger or crying. Besides that, when Meng Tao came and apologized to Xiao Shuai, it was not delivered well so Xiao Shuai's angry and annoyed emotions were not shown even though I as a viewer felt annoyed and hit Meng Tao who didn't know himself.
The third one is more of a personal assumption. While watching this series, I was a little curious about the relationship between Weng Shou and Weng Zhen, as well as Chi Cheng and Cheng Yu. It's a shame that they only gave a little description of their relationship and their feelings for each other because while watching, I wondered what kind of relationship they were trying to describe, and it seemed like it was still hanging until the end of the story. If only they had screentime for their past flashbacks, it might have been very interesting.
Next, I'll discuss the acting. Overall, I think each actor's acting is quite good; they're quite good at getting into their roles. They're also quite good when filming begins, so the audience can be drawn in without feeling awkward. However, there are still some actors who are stiff and lack fluidity.
Roles:
- Chi Cheng: The actor is good at getting into the role of CC, even being able to express himself as a Red Flag.
- Suo Wei: I think the actor is quite good at delivering the role of Wei Wei to the audience. Although there are still some stiff and awkward expressions, he has managed to portray Wei Wei well.
- Xiao Shuai: I think the actor still feels stiff when acting. Sometimes the expressions in some scenes don't match, so they don't convey the desired atmosphere. However, after a few scenes, we can see quite good development, especially in the final scene of episode 24. I was quite surprised by that episode.
- cheng yu: I'm quite amazed by the actor who is very expressive and really brings the role of CY very well. I feel like he really lives the role with great detail. Even in every scene he delivers well. Anger, touched, sadness, smoking, drunkenness, 18+ scenes, etc. all work well. He also seems to guide the character of Xiaoshuai so that it can develop well.
- wang shuo: The villain character successfully annoys me and wants to grumble every time he appears. The actor is very good at delivering this character without seeming awkward and like a pro player. He can convey the emotions of anger, depression, annoyance, spoiled, and troublemaking well to annoy the audience. It's very cool.
- wang shen: Honestly, he's a mysterious character and the actor brings this character to life well. Unfortunately, his screen time is limited and there is rarely any dialogue. but he can carry his role well because the audience can feel the feelings of the character Wang Zhen where he admires Weiwei but on the other hand he has feelings for Wang Shuo which ends up choosing to protect Wang Shuo. with not many scenes he is good enough to show those feelings to the audience.
The next part is for music and visuals. I really like the OST of this series and enjoy listening to it repeatedly. For the cinematic visuals, I think it is very good. The lighting and space director are very good. Throughout the series, the audience is treated to a very epic indoor and outdoor space arrangement. The lighting background used also seems good and suits each character who is acting. As a result, I really enjoy it as a viewer. Because sometimes the BL/Bromance story genre in China usually has a low budget and is minimal. But in this series, even though some fans say the production house uses a low budget, for me this is really a proper budget. Maybe they cut costs on makeup and clothes because there are some characters whose clothes are rarely changed and not full makeup, but that doesn't matter because they are all handsome without excessive makeup.
Overall for me this series is very good and good, considering the story of chai jidian which was adapted into Live Action did not end until it was finished and hanging. while this revenged love can be shown until it is finished and happy ending we need to appreciate it. The actors who acted in it have also never acted BL with that much skinship so it is understandable if there are scenes that seem stiff and strange but still very enjoyable. is this drama worth watching? YES VERY WORTH it. but keep in mind that there are several scenes that bring the trigger of "toxic relationship".

love this series!
Okay, damn, I enjoyed this series!! This series has it all: comedy, romance, and angst. The cast was excellent; I actually sobbed when Su Wei's mother died; everyone had good chemistry with each other... (even Zang brother... they weren't real brothers, but still) I loved the tension between CC and Wei Wei. Along with this, I particularly liked the second male lead and the doctor of course (Uff); their chemistry was incredible... ugh! I have a problem with the fact that both protagonists' kisses felt forced... Anyway, I adored this one!!!! 10/10 (PS: it was my first ever BL)Was this review helpful to you?

to com depressão agora
Was this review helpful to you?
This is the one of the best series of my life!
Tian performs his role to perfection. A character who clearly starts as a red flag and gradually evolves into a green flag, and that transformation truly works because of the actor’s skill. He conveys emotion without exaggeration, and much of what we feel comes simply from his eyes, the pauses, and the micro-expressions. Nothing feels forced or empty.Ziyu is equally impressive. Even in the more intense and stylized moments, almost anime-like in tone, his performance never becomes cringe, which is very rare. He balances emotion, vulnerability, and restraint in a very natural way, always keeping the character believable.
The story itself is excellent, especially in the first part, when they begin to fall for each other. The relationship development is careful, gradual, and emotionally coherent. We see interest growing, hesitation, restrained desire, all built in a very organic way without artificial rushing.
It is even more admirable knowing the series was made with a limited budget. Nothing feels cheap or careless. On the contrary, you can feel the dedication, the smart creative choices, and the respect for the story they wanted to tell.
Above all, the strongest point is the acting. Unfortunately, in many BLs we often see inexperienced actors without much talent, relying only on the genre itself. That is not the case here. These actors truly know how to act. They work beautifully with micro-expressions, silence, and emotional tension. There is truth in their performances.
It would honestly be a dream to see them together again in another series.
