ChiWei are my life now!
When I started watching this show, I did not expect it to become this big. I had no idea what the show was about, and I honestly just began watching it out of boredom. LUCKILY, I DID!Who would have thought that this show would capture my heart in such a way that I’m still not over it, even though it already ended a week ago?
The actors are absolutely perfect for these roles, and the dynamics between them are pure gold. And the chemistry between Chi Cheng and Wu So Wei??? They could open a whole chemistry lab, guys!
The storyline itself was also just perfect. From Wu wanting to get revenge on Chi for stealing his girlfriend, to Wu selling his parents’ house to help Chi Cheng—nothing felt rushed between the two of them. Every emotion the characters felt was justified and well delivered. The show had funny, sad, cute, and dramatic scenes, and I enjoyed all of them.
It was a well-rounded story that left me wanting more after every episode.
The only minus point I would give, when it comes to the story, is that, for me personally, the whole matter with Chi Cheng finding out about Wu’s initial intentions was resolved a bit too quickly. It was the key point of their relationship. Throughout the show, I kept wondering what would happen if Chi found out. I braced myself for a huge fight that would get resolved maybe three episodes later. But in the end, it was forgotten and never talked about again because Wu’s mother died. I get why, but I would have appreciated one clearing conversation.
The music in this show was a 10/10. The recurring songs throughout the whole show were so beautiful. I will never be able to listen to “Somewhere in Your Eyes” again without starting to cry, hahahaha.
Overall: This show is a must-watch for BL fans and has everything a good romance should have!!!

This was definitely 'My Home'
Even before the adaptation came out, I had already read the original novel, Counter Attack. Honestly, I’m still deeply invested in it because the storyline is just so good. It’s unique and emotionally gripping, definitely worth reading. So when I found out it was getting an adaptation, I was super curious whether they could pull it off accurately. It’s not the kind of story that’s easy to turn into a live-action series, especially since, as I mentioned earlier, the novel has a lot of “unique” plot points. I was also curious how they’d handle the spicy scenes from the book. Now, speaking of the adaptation (Revenged Love), I have to say, it was amazing, beautiful, flawless... every synonym for “beautiful” applies to this series. Why?
FIRST: The accuracy of the storyline. Everything I imagined while reading the novel was exactly how it played out in the series. You can’t call this a half-baked production. Sure, some plot points had to be changed because they were a bit too much for a live-action format, but overall, they met all my expectations.
SECOND: The settings. Oh my gosh, the filming locations were ethereal. I didn’t expect them to choose such stunning places, from Shuai Shuai’s clinic to Wei Wei’s house. I’m speechless. Everything was just beautiful.
THIRD: The actors. I still can’t believe how hooked I got on them. They fit their characters perfectly. You can tell they were handpicked with care before filming even began.
FOURTH: The acting and portrayals. I have no complaints. They totally nailed it. From the couples’ sweet moments to the intense emotional scenes (especially when Wei Wei lost his mom and Shuai Shuai’s trauma from his ex), and even the annoyance I felt toward Yue Yue and Wang Shou... Gurl, I bow down to them.
FIFTH: The chemistry between the two couples. Let’s start with Zi Yu (Wu Sou Wei) & Tian Zu Ning (Chi Cheng), their chemistry on and off cam was so strong, you’d think they were a real couple or destined for each other. There was no awkwardness at all. Now for Liu Xuan Cheng (Jiang Xiao Shuai) & Zhan Xuan (Gou Cheng You), I was completely hooked and giddy over these two. You could really feel their connection, especially during Cheng Yu’s courtship for Shuai scenes and their sweet moments in the series. ACCCKKKKK I don’t even know how to explain it, they were just so lovebirds. Everyone did such an amazing job that I genuinely didn’t want the series to end. I’m still crying knowing I won’t be seeing them again anytime from now on.
LASTLY: The effort, the budget, the staff. Everything was top-tier. From the behind-the-scenes clips I watched, I saw how much hard work went into making this series. I’m also grateful that the director did such a great job, because the adaptation turned out flawless and perfect.
Even now, I’m still emotionally stuck in it. Although there were some behind-the-scenes moments that didn’t make it into the final cut (like CCWei’s goodbye message at WeiWei’s mother’s grave) and the final episodes felt a bit short (no ending kiss for the main couple, huhu), it’s totally fine because the series was genuinely beautiful. No doubt about that.
But again, I’m still here, inside the “home” this series built for me, because it stirred so many emotions in me with how well it was done. I’ll never forget all the actors or the characters, especially CCWei and GouShuai, they’ve officially earned the title of “Best BL Series of All Time.” Even now, I keep rewatching it over and over again.
Thank you for all the memories we shared this year, and for being my weekly dose of free therapy, Revenged Love.
P.S. I demand special episodes…..or maybe Season 2? Who knows, right?

Our mole couple deserve Oscar
99% series have longer last ep with details and lots of things. This series full package in bl world. There is great story, fucking brilliant acting by dao bao especially that car scene when dao bao was crying and laughing at same time. Finest acting i had ever seen in BL word. He deserves Oscar for that scene. But idk why i feel something is missing in last ep. No kiss scene, chi cheng didn't meet dao bao parents. They could have give us proper NC scene in last episode coz that the moment we wanted when series ended. I didn't even find this series boring at all. Usually i leave series in middle and i watch after long time like i am leaving top form in the middle. Yeah it started it toxicity but in the end it became damn best candy. Another thing i didn't like when dao bao says i want to be top and chi cheng reject it. If he can straight guy bottom then why can't he be bottom for his lover? After all he loves him. Except few points this series is the finest BL series i ever watched. People are criticizing coz there is no consent but who the fuck care about that when both party is wanted that. I am gonna miss this series. My mole couple.I hope our mole couple will come up with best series againWas this review helpful to you?

Can’t believe it ended already…
I’m gonna miss the feeling of watching this series for the first time, when i so badly wanted the episodes to be released sooner. Now that it’s finished, I don’t have anything to look forward to on Mondays anymore.Wei wei, Chi cheng, Shuai shuai, Chengyu, thank you for giving us a beautiful story to remember. Ziyu, Tian, Xuan cheng, Zhan xuan, thank you for bringing the story to life❤️
P.s.
Why would they give the shortest duration to the last episode?😔

Crazy and chaotic in a fun way.
I am forever Yizhan but guess what? I fell in love with Ziyu and Tian Xuning love team. They are match made in BL heaven. From the story, to it's characters, soundtrack and even their not so extravagant budget yet the performed really well. It is beyond my expectation. The show gave birth to a new fun loving bunny same as Xiao Zhan and that is our baby Zi Yu. He is adorable and no dull moment. If only those characters don't repeat wardrobe specially those rich boys. But heck it's integrated to the real world. It is a must watch and possibly the best BL of the year. Chinese BL really never dissappoint. Was this review helpful to you?
Chemistry
starting from the trailer to the episode currently being watched. the story is very satisfying. in my opinion, this is the best BL drama this year. hopefully this drama will air smoothly until the end. the actors also in my opinion are trying very hard to adjust to the characters and chemistry of this story. Was this review helpful to you?

A cute, funny, hella unserious romance if you're chill with dark concepts/tropes
Honestly how much you enjoy this show will likely highly depend on how chill you are with very dark concepts and tropes that are treated lightly in this supposed-to-be cute/funny romance. But I also like how unapologetically dark it is? Chi Cheng is not a good person, there's just no other way around it. He's definitely a glaring red flag but it's fiction and Tian Xuning makes the character work. No doubt the actors are hard carrying this with their chemistry and visuals (Tian Xuning doing most of the carrying lmbfr) because otherwise the budget is obviously low and the writing is all over the place messy and cringe. That said, I definitely recommend just for the guilty pleasure aspect of watching such an unserious and unapologetically "immoral" show like this. Most of the characters are extremely flawed in one way or another and that's part of the charm of it.
