Can't Root for a Rapist
I've said it before and will say it again, rapist do not belong in bl. Not as main characters that get happy endings at least. Yes, the chemistry and acting is great. Yet getting someone gang raped and sexually assaulting your love interest is not something that should be normalized. Shiwcasing it in a light manner, never addressing it and giving no consequences to such actions IS normalizing it. To be clear, you can make a character and story dark, that is not what I dislike. Absolute banger
This show was an absolute banger, even if I did have some issues with certain narrative choices. mainly the ending and episode length. the show seemed to drag itself for no reason other than to keep the show going. I think the kidnapping arch could have been written out completely for example and certain scenes where nothing plot relevant happened could have been cut down, but that's just my opinion. other than that I think this show was excellent. if you don't mind watching something that draws itself out and has a steady and slow pacing, you'll love this!Was this review helpful to you?

So much hype about this drama on the feed. Let's check this out.The story is about Wu Qi Qiong (QQ), a young man from a poor family. QQ gets dumped by his girlfriend, Yue Yue (YY), simply because of his background. Not only that—YY who’s now dating a rich guy, repeatedly insults and even assaults QQ together with her new lover.
In one of these encounters, QQ is injured and ends up at a private clinic run by Dr. Guo Cheng Yu (CY). CY treats him, and they become friends. QQ also starts living at the clinic.
Humiliated and heartbroken, QQ decides to reinvent himself. He changes his name to Wu Suo Wei (SW) and vows to reclaim his dignity. He dreams of rebuilding his life and launching his own business one day, not for money, but to reclaim his dignity.
As SW steps into this new chapter, he frequently crosses paths with Chi Cheng (CC), the spoiled heir to a powerful family business. When SW finds out that CC is now dating his ex, YY, he decides to take revenge—by seducing CC himself.
Even though SW has no interest in men, he commits to the plan. He even asks CY for advice on how to seduce another man.
But here’s the twist: **CC is actually gay.** He’s only dating YY to keep his parents off his back. And truthfully, he’s been interested in SW from the very beginning. And so begins a playful yet dangerous game of cat and mouse between them.

+ The interesting story of the 2nd couple, CY & Jiang Xiao Shuai (XS)
+ Interesting friendships between CC & XS or SW & CY

What I don't like:
- Interesting concepts. But quite lacking in implementation. Especially in the end. It feels like they skip a few steps ahead.
Overall I feel this is more like an overhyped drama…

Loved it
I loved this BL drama. I have been looking for a good one since "Between Us" and "Love in the Air", and I finally found it here. The storyline was great, and the addition of the snakes gave it an interesting twist that I have not seen before. I also really loved the chemistry between the leads and their overall acting.The reason I didn’t give it a 10 is because of the unnecessary misunderstandings. This irritated me a lot since the characters couldn’t communicate properly or talk things through. Instead, they just jumped to conclusions.

If you're looking for a romantic drama that feels like a breath of fresh air compared to Thai, Korean, and Japanese BL series, this is the one to try. The romance isn’t the only focus — instead, it’s placed in a solid context with an interesting plot and several surprising turns. The pacing is good, and each episode leaves you wanting to see what happens next.
The series is both funny and emotional at times, so expect a mix of laughter and tears. The casting is excellent, with strong performances and believable chemistry between the leads.
That said, Revenged Love might be a bit of a divider — it has a specific tone and style that some viewers will love, while others might not connect with it at all. Personally, I really enjoyed it and felt it stood out from other BL dramas. I think I might actually rewatch the whole series - which is rare for me, and I’d gladly watch a sequel if they ever make one

Their Chemistry and understanding.
I love this drama so much. It gives me so much pleasure and fun. When I feel upset I watch this drama. I really loved it. It gives me so much fun. Honestly I don’t like Bl dramas. But this drama is exceptional. Their chemistry and understanding is outstanding. Specially Chengyu is my dream man. I really want a man like him. Overall I love their everything. Unexpected!
Okay, the first few episodes were a little rough, I won't lie. There's some questionable bits, and I don't blame anyone for being critical of it. For some reason I was able to move past it and then after a couple episodes it's never an issue again. Anyway, other than that, I only have positive things to say. The parent's plot lines, for both leads, were really good. I can't remember the last time a BL got me in the heartstrings like that. Even though it's silly at times, the character development felt real. Their relationship seemed real. Their struggles and decisions, both good and bad, seemed real.Anyway, I'd say give it a try. I laughed and cried and was frustrated (in a good way.) The is random, but the ex reminded me of San from Ateez. In looks only!

the cast saved it
dont get me wrong, i love, loved, will always cherish revenged love. But.. that is because of the cast. i think the bl itself was… well, not groundbreaking. i get the hype, i really do, i’m a part of it, but its mainly due to the amazing chemistry shared by the pairs. especially the main leads. it sucks that they won’t get a chance to be in a bl together ever again, and the only role they got together was a mainly mediocre bl that their acting and chemistry singlehandedly carried on their back. i don’t believe its terrible, but it had so much potential. chi cheng’s character being a rapist, brushed over. forget rags to riches why are we doing rape to romance? the fact that he cant bear to force himself on wei wei is sort of… romanticized? like its not basic human decency? hes not an animal after all. it had humor, cute lovey dovey scenes, angst, twists and turns and little eye contacts that will get stuck in your mind forever, if you can get past the non con.. the story had good potential, and yes i know its an adaptation, im glad they toned in down in the bl, but two things can be true, it still could’ve been more than what it was. the actors and their chemistry deserve many praises, awards, and flowers, i still can’t forget them. im thankful to revenged love for bringing these lovely boys together. even in a not so flavorful story dynamic. i watch it again because of the cast, the visuals are beautiful.Was this review helpful to you?

I will never recover—neither will you
Yesterday was the one year anniversary of Revenged Love and I have finally decided to collect the pieces of myself it left broken and give the review it has long since deserved. Yes I have denied that Revenged Love has ended for a year and yes it is just that good. I don’t understand why you aren’t racing toward Youtube right now to watch it. I don’t understand why I am not racing to watch it right now again because in the year I have postponed writing a review, I have rewatched Revenged Love 13 times. I don’t want to admit to myself that it’s over, but I guess it’s now or never, the one year anniversary seems the perfect timeIt is the only show I will ever rate a 10/10, it has forever changed me.
It brought me back into BL, back into asian dramas in general, it brought me back to k,c,and t-pop. It has made me so many new friends and, in no way exaggerating, has changed by life.
This is less of a review, more of a short reconciliation with my own emotions, and a plea for you to WATCH THIS DRAMA
Even if you think you don’t like BL, or you can’t watch shows in a language you don’t speak because you find subtitles annoying, Revenged Love will change everything
A hilarious plot line as two couples find themselves and love. All plot twists were exactly perfect and kept the drama exciting, deepening our interest and love for the show and all of its characters (except for some, Yue know who you are)
The chemistry is top-tier, watch the BTS after (even if just for the director). The ending was perfectly sweet, exactly what both parties deserved, each other. The characters were so well done, acted perfectly. For those of you who say Chi Cheng is a red flag, grow up, characters need to have flaws for us to empathize with them, his arc is exactly what makes him perfect and there are a lot worse out there for you to be worrying about a man in a genre that in no way makes perfect male leads.
THE MUSIC
Do yourself a favor and first, watch the show, second, never ever skip the intro. I have this song on my playlist and I cry everytime it comes on, in a good way.
It is sung by Ziyu, who plays WeiWei in the drama and the song deserves your full attention every time.
I would be more offended with you not watching this drama than cutting off both my arms.

A show full of sexual assualt that get romantized by viewer
This series is really disgusting , a show that manypeople like and going viral everywhere but full of nasty things like gang rape , sexual assault , prostitusion and you see people gushing over it and calling it hot , that chi cheng guy threatened his lovers friend that he would rape him if he dont convince his lover to have sex with him and what i saw was people calling it hot , Im very dissapointed in this drama there are tons of novel with good plot and they decided to adapt this shitty novel to a drama .

Revenged Love would be a masterpiece drama series because of it's capability to feed the viewers morethan what they are expecting from it. But there's also some lapses the time duration missing a 2 minutes deducted from the 48mins they posted before it's release, but it's okay maybe there's a technical problem with that overall the drama hits different from other and i hope it would satisfy the fans before it's ending.Was this review helpful to you?
