The actors really made it worth a watch!
Not even gonna sugar coat anything, the story was generic but it did have its charm. The saving grace of this show was the castinhg cause man! They casted everyone so well all three leads are amazing i mean they actually make the crappy writing look better. Even the supporting actors were so good.The ML is just so good at portraying his part that it never felt cringe same with the FL.
Would have loved to see more of their dating era and interactions but its just 12 ep so we get what we get.
I wont recommend this show. But would not say it is not worth watching either.

The ROM romanced, the COM comedied & I had FUN!
I genuinely had such a good time with this drama. It wasn’t perfect or groundbreaking, but it gave me exactly what I wanted from a romcom: chemistry, comedy, warmth and characters I actually cared about.Hagi was one of my fave MLs. I loved that he was an ACTUAL working CEO lol, but also such a loser at home. His growth from someone who processes everything alone to slowly learning to let Dareum in was beautifully done. And Kang Hoon, pls do more romcoms!
I also loved Dareum and how the drama portrayed fangirling. It showed the softer side of being a fan—loving your bias from afar, wanting them to be happy and finding joy/community through them. Her friendship with her girls was especially sweet. Just fangirls supporting and loving eo without unnecessary competition.
HagiDareum’s chemistry was everything. The slow burn, yearning, little details he remembered about her and their cute moments had me SAT. I just wish we got more of them actually dating after all that buildup!
My biggest issue was DNX. Since their disbandment is such an important part of Dareum’s journey as a fangirl, I wish the reasons behind it had been explained more clearly. I didn’t need a whole subplot—just enough that I wasn’t still connecting dots at the end.
Honestly, 14 eps would’ve been perfect. Two extra eps could’ve fleshed out DNX, allowed the emotional arcs to breathe and given us more HagiDareum dating era.
Still, 8.5/10. This drama made my Mondays and Tuesdays so much fun, and sometimes that matters more than having a perfect plot. I’m really going to miss this era. 🥹🫶🏾

Return of cliché romcoms?
This wasn't on my watchlist, I randomly decided to watch it yesterday and I'm hooked. This isn't particularly anything new. The classic sunshine girl, the cold but softie inside CEO and a charishmatic second lead. But this drama is hilarious, the comedy is spot on. the love triangle so far isn't unbearable tho I have my doubts how long that will last. I hope Hagi and chan's friendship won't be ruined.. I'm excited for the dating era. But I must say, the story is doing a great job at potraying the fangirling thing. one thing about daerum is that she isn't a crazy asf fan who claims to have some sort of right over their bias.This has every elements of a kdrama romcom, and it is doing a good job at it. It's a good watch if you want something light and funny with a lot of good visuals.

Fun, Little Quirky, Cute 1.25X Drama
What a fun little experience this was. I was honestly a bit hesitant to start this drama because I had read some of the reviews beforehand, and most of them were pretty negative. But after watching it, I honestly don’t understand why.If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s to stop reading reviews before watching a drama. Everyone has different tastes, and sometimes other people’s opinions can affect your own experience. I had already read the reviews before starting this one, and it actually made it harder for me to enjoy the drama at first.
But once I stopped thinking about the reviews and just watched it for what it was, I had a lot of fun. There’s no overly complicated or heavy storyline here—just a simple, lighthearted story that’s easy to watch.
Sometimes, that’s all you need. Not every drama has to be deep or complicated. Sometimes you just want to sit back, watch, and have a good time.

When admiration turns into something more
This was such a fun surprise. As someone who's a fan myself, I think I connected with this drama even more. I loved how it explored the relationship between a fan and their bias, capturing all the excitement, admiration, and respect that come with supporting someone you look up to. Watching that connection slowly turn into something more was both hilarious and incredibly sweet.The leads had great chemistry, and their romance felt natural without ever forgetting where it all began. The supporting characters also added a lot of charm, making every episode an easy and enjoyable watch. It's funny, heartwarming, and left me smiling until the very end. And honestly... sometimes your bias really should stay just your bias.

Love Triangle with Unexpected Depth
On the surface, “My Bias, My Boss” is a fun and fluffy rom-com, but it also takes an interesting look at the sometimes blurry lines between friendship, rivalry, admiration, and attraction.What stands out in contrast with the mostly unserious plot is the characters’ growth, particularly the female lead’s development.
When Nam Da Reum (Kim Hye Joon) rage-quits her unfulfilling corporate job, she makes the highly questionable decision of trying to land a new role at the company where her celebrity crush — a retired K-pop idol — is one of the co-founders. As a super fan, her goal in getting the job is more than a little motivated by her obsession with her bias, a fact that comes back to bite her later.
She starts out as someone who’s kind of immature and impulsive and too starstruck to think rationally about her feelings, but grows into a more confident and capable woman as she figures out the difference between love and admiration, learns to speak up for herself, and finds success in her career.
Perhaps the most complex character is Lee Chan (Cha Woo Min), the former idol. Despite his outward success in the entertainment industry and as an entrepreneur, he’s a pretty pitiful character. He craves attention and validation so much that he tries to desperately hold on whatever scrap of genuine feeling he can find, by whatever means necessary. When he learns that Da Reum has been his devoted fan for more than a decade, he develops something like an obsession of his own.
Rounding out the love triangle is Chan’s high school best friend and business partner Kang Ha Gi (Kang Hoon), a sweet, slightly awkward, and surprisingly perceptive type of male lead that’s easy to like. Though he too has his flaws — namely, poor communication skills when under pressure or in emotionally tense situations.
Of course, no rom-com would be complete without an ex to stir up the drama. When Ha Gi’s high school girlfriend (who was also Chan’s unrequited crush) pops up like an unwelcome house guest, the love triangle briefly becomes a quadrangle.
As the main characters navigate office drama, crushes, jealousies, and more over the course of 12 episodes, viewers will find a lot of laughs along the way to a happy ending. It’s not a particularly remarkable plot or memorable romance, but it’s an easy and enjoyable watch.

yuna baited me into watching and i have zero regrets
honestly i only watched this bc of yuna but i did not expect to get this hooked on the series and the whole cast too. the chemistry was so good, everyone did such a great job, and even the cringe scenes couldn't ruin it for me. i loved how timely the issues were, especially in the kpop world, and thank god dareum wasn't painfully delulu. there was actually so much to take away from this as a fan. also loved seeing so many new faces getting their chance to shine. this was my first ongoing drama and now i'll genuinely miss waiting every monday & tuesday. thank you my bias, my boss, for giving us yoon choi. even with limited screen time, she still got to showcase her acting. i'm so proud of my actress, yuna!! ❤️Was this review helpful to you?

A Typical Rom Com Kdrama, but Enjoyable
I've completed this series and I don't think I've change much of my opinion since posting after the first 6 episodes. I run down the pros and cons of the show.The Pros
1. Main storyline with subplots were good enough to keep me viewing every week. Although a couple were duds as they seem to be going somewhere but then just fell flat. But for the most part, the story seemed to flow.
2. The first half of the series with the bumbling Da Reum and stiff, cold Ha Gi getting into awkward and odd situations was the most entertaining. Honestly this part was what I liked best about their relationship. Both the MLs played the awkward, comedy-slapstick bits very well, and it worked.
3. The Appello office staff was very likable and made the scenes with the full crew so enjoyable to watch. Likewise were Da Reum's two best friends and their storylines. Funny and enjoyable.
The Cons
1. Like I stated before there were a couple of subplots that really were duds and could have been left out. One was bringing back Ha Gi's first love and CEO of Han. The triangle of Chan, Da Reum and Ha Gi had finally been put to rest, then another triangle is thrown at us. I thought it was unnecessary. The storyline of catching the internal spy could have been done without the ex-girlfriend angle. And, what was with Da Reum suddenly going to Paris? Why throw that in? Second, the storyline with Cho I (???). She was the employee who we all thought was the corporate spy, but really she was just a bitch doing bitchy things. I'm not sure this storyline was necessary other than throwing the viewer off of who the real corporate spy was.
2. Da Reum and Ha Gi's romantic relationship. While their relationship was sweet, it never progressed past 7th grade. Maybe that was because 7th graders were their demographic. But it lacked passion, and they really had no romantic chemistry. Now they could be bumbling fools for days and it was hilarious, but the romance....nope.
3. Chan the Kpop Idol dates his fan. I wrote about this below, so I won't repeat myself. It was too unrealistic for me. Probably because I really don't believe Kpop idols think much about their fans beyond how much money they can get from them. I'm a tad jaded or maybe realistic in realizing all the idol adoration of their fans is just really good acting.
All in all, it was a nice Kdrama. Very typical of a classic rom-com Kdrama in Kdramaland where right triumphs over wrong, everyone finds redemption in the end, and romance is squeaky clean and sanitized. I've watched enough Kdramas to get past the unrealistic nature and just enjoy the storyline and characters, and this one did have some likable, fun characters in it that made me want to spend the evening watching the next episode.
After watching 6 episodes:
So far this is a cute and enjoyable rom com that is pretty typical for Kdrama rom coms. The cute but naive, somewhat bumbling FL is just kind of all over the place as she wonders through life and work unaware of how her naiveté has such an alluring affect on the two very handsome ML's in the drama. Yea, this is very unrealistic and would never happen in real life, but it's presented in a cute and adorable way.
Da Reum goes to work at a fashion company because it was founded by her Kpop idol bias, and it's her life's mission to forever follow and adore him. Once there, she realizes the idol is just the face of the company and in reality it is run by a workaholic CEO who is often cold and distant. The two of them are put into awkward situations, and the cold-hearted CEO begins to warm up to her bright and shining cuteness, not to mention her constant positivity....that is, when she is not being so absent minded he has to rescue her and gets hurt. It's the slap-stick comedic method of having two people fall in love. Only, there's a triangle.....the idol. Now, if this drama weren't unrealistic enough as it is.....we get to jump off a cliff into utter fantasy as the idol falls for the fan!!
At Episode 6, the FL starts to date her idol bias. Honestly, I feel this storyline is the weakest part of the drama because it's so unrealistic, and if this were the entire story, I would probably drop it. But the relationship between the FL and the cold/distant CEO is keeping me watching. These two together are really cute even if they get into some outrageous situations. But right now, the triangle storyline and the two men vying for the FL is the focus. There is a scandal brewing on the horizon, and we still need to catch the Appello corporate mole who is selling secrets to the competition. So there is enough holding me that I"m trying really hard not to be too annoyed at the idol/fan relationship happening because this.....this people....is truly fiction.

Top-Notch Chemistry, Relatable Fangirling, and Swoon-Worthy Rom-Com Magic

Such a cute rom com
I have been out of the loop with kdramas since around mid 2024. I’ve been able to start some kdramas and other media like thai bls. But it was really hard for me to get into them, I was basically in a slump. I’ve been able to finish like 2-3 kdramas in the past year and i’m still stuck on some like Squid Game S3 and Sweet Home S3 with 1-2 episodes left. I remember seeing a teaser around mid July for this drama and I loved Kim Hyejun in Inspector Koo and A Shop for Killers S1 so I set a reminder to watch it. I didn’t set any expectations because I’ve not had great luck with continuing ongoing kdramas at all. It started a little cliche and cute, but that’s exactly what I needed. Week after week MBMB made me happy to look forward to Mondays and Tuesdays. Watching every episode made me giddy, I loved watching the TVN behind the scenes, and gasping at the clips that they cut. The chemistry between Hyejun and Kanghoon kept me wanting more. The plot was not complex, and it honeslty didn’t need to be. It was juggling many storylines at once like Hagi and his mom, Hagi+Chan+Jeongyeon, DNX, Apello spy, second lead couple, and ofc the love triangle. I applaud everyone who worked on this drama to deliver a perfect rom com, it had everything from great osts, comedy, emotion, romance, and a great big cast. I felt like we got to see how real the office setting was and all the hard work that they were putting in. Obviously there was that cliche accidental kiss, but I loved it. They made up for it with 2 great kisses in the next few episodes. I also enjoyed that Ha-gi and Chan were able to reconcile in the end. Even Jeong-yeon and Dareum became friends and ended up working together. Some dramas can’t wrap everything up in a nice big bow like MBMB did, they were able to make conflicts and have solutions at the end. Rhis is such a feel good show, and I’m so glad I was able to experience it while it was airing. I’m just glad tha MBMB allowed me to get back into kdramas. I already watched A Shop for Killers S2 and not a shocker, Hye-jun was great. I so glad I had this kdrama to make me happy and I transitioned back into college and I hope to continue back in my regular routine of kdrama watching! A Sweet, Charming Romance With Kim Hye-jun Stealing My Heart ❤️
I really enjoyed My Bias, My Boss! From the beginning, this K-drama pulled me in with its fun storyline, adorable romance, emotional moments, and the chemistry between the leads. It has that comforting K-drama charm where you can simply sit back, get invested in the characters, and enjoy watching their relationship develop. There were plenty of cute moments that genuinely made me smile, while the more emotional scenes gave the story some much-needed depth.Kim Hye-jun as Nam Da-reum was easily one of my favorite parts of the drama. I have watched several K-dramas featuring her before, and I have loved her in every single one, so seeing her take on this role was something I was particularly excited about. Once again, she delivered such a wonderful performance. She has this incredible ability to make her characters feel natural and emotionally believable, and I found myself completely invested in her character throughout the drama. Honestly, Kim Hye-jun continues to prove why she is one of those actresses I will happily watch in anything.
This was actually my first K-drama with Kang Hoon as a lead, and I have to say, what a great first impression! I really liked him in this role of Kang Ha-gi. His chemistry with Kim Hye-jun worked so well for me, especially during the cute and softer romantic moments. Their interactions had a lovely warmth to them, and I genuinely enjoyed watching their relationship progress. Kang Hoon definitely left me wanting to see more of him in future dramas.
Overall, My Bias, My Boss was such a lovely watch for me. I loved the storyline, the romance, the emotional scenes, the character interactions, and especially the performances from Kim Hye-jun and Kang Hoon. It gave me exactly the kind of cute, emotional K-drama experience I was looking for, and I had a great time watching it. Kim Hye-jun remains one of my favorite actresses to watch.❤️
