Noona Romance Done Right!
Such a perfect ending!!!I loved the concept of meeting again after 7 days as it really gave the couples a chance to feel the reality and decide if they truly wanted to give it a go.
My favorite couple, Bonhee × Mujin made it to the end and I couldn’t be happier!
Congratulations to the other pairs as well and I genuinely hope they stay together for a long time.
And the panelists? Honestly one of the best I’ve ever seen. No unnecessary chatter, no irritating members and their comments were genuinely fun to listen to so I never skipped their parts.
Overall I really hope they make a season 2 since it has the potential to leave people eagerly waiting for it!

Messy, awkward, and strangely addictive
I loved the older woman–younger man concept, even if it exposed insecurities and cultural limits around age and success. Some moments frustrated me, others genuinely hooked me, but the last three episodes had me giggling like crazy. Not a smooth watch, but an honest and fun experiment on love and maturity.

This had almost all the right ingredients, but not enough cooking time!
The dating show sets out to explore age-gap dynamics with older women and younger men and while the premise feels refreshing on paper, the execution was a little uneven but still had my attention. The show's main strength was the noona romance template. Compared to other dating shows (I haven't watched much), this was calmer ( less dramatic). I liked nearly everyone in the cast, and they all showed up with something to offer. Whether it worked in their favor or not… that’s a different discussion. xD
Where it failed for me was that it gave too little time for dating to even begin. It felt rushed and it clearly showed.
Another issue I had was that in the middle it tried to turn into a one person show. I get early interests and dynamic building to get things going, but when everyone is chasing the same person, it kind of gets boring for me. Though it definitely picks up in the latter half.
Also, i felt there were less group activities. There should have been more interactions, maybe one on one or casual group activities so more people can interact with different people. I am saying cause drama between the ships but at least this could have eased out participants a little more. It was strange to not find any "friendship ships". I missed those genuine conversations I guess.
Production was pretty in design though they could have made the living arrangements better in the house. The anonymous message idea through pictures and videos was interesting.
The panel was hit and a miss, mostly miss. I had very contrasting opinions with them, plus the insights didn't add anything valueable or even offer a different perspective. It was just reacting to scenes and adding tad bit of personal flavour of things we already know/shown.
Overall, this was a breezy show. I think they brushed over the complicated part. It's like the trailer of the actual dating life with real problems that will come. That said, I enjoyed it. And if you ask me who was my favourite is, it is Mujin! The boy had a way with words, paired with that cute scrunchy nose smile that made it even more charming.

How about a love story transcending age gaps!?
This is a dating reality show worth watching if you don’t get pissed off easily and if you are emotionally strong. You might find some people irritating but you might as well brush that aside and focus on the bigger picture (a participant or couple you like)😂 It’s the type of show where some scenes or people may trigger you to drop it but there are better moments which will keep you hooked. It has its messy, dry, awkward and dramatic moments but it still can pass as a pastime watch. Sometimes the drama may be unnecessary or too much so this is heads up before you go down the rabbit hole.Firstly, the show had the concept of younger men and older women which had a fresh idea compared to other Korean dating shows. This became the show’s weakness as well as its strength. Having this age gap made the dating show unique thus drawing attention from various audiences. That being its main highlight would keep you hooked so that you can find out who ends up with who, the age gap between various ships or how participants will handle the age gaps.
Despite this, participants seemed to have entered the show without expectations of huge age gaps which made things a bit awkward among participants in noticeable manners. If participants had joined with acceptance of potential huge age gaps relationship dynamics would have been much easier and better.
While on the positive side, this show really had interesting moments like concealed age, careers, ways of choosing dates which made things more fun! They tried their best to make sure that and relationships’ growth among participants could develop solely based on feelings rather than career and age. However, we do all know that it is inevitable to avoid some things but this concept built and broke some relationships, but a win is a win hey🥱
It is important to note that some of the flaws of the show cannot be pointed directly towards directors as other problems arose due to certain people’s behaviours, attitudes and actions. After all you can’t push someone to have confidence, self love, decisiveness, respect for others overnight. It would have been better if all participants mentally prepared themselves for the type of show they were signing up for because some of them clearly could not stand the variation in age or career differences since some women seemed more established than men. The only solution to this can be made during casting but you can never know how one may act in the face of competition or pressure 🫠
If l had written this review mid-show l would have confidently told you not to get emotionally attached to any couple as you may be disappointed but now that the show has ended, l approve of shipping any couple you like. After all, it’s a reality show, what’s bound to happen will happen just be emotionally strong to embrace the outcome!
PS: l dropped it several times after certain episodes’ endings but l still found myself continuing it because the couple l was rooting for kept the fire burning till the end!🥰 Anyway, my interest in a certain couple is the main reason l kept on watching the show because some of the stuff was either too chaotic or unnecessary.😂🙈

Good, but could be better
While I’ve enjoyed the show so far, I think one thing that could strengthen it — especially in future seasons — would be keeping the ages of the participants closer together, perhaps within a five-year range. I understand that casting depends largely on who applies, but tighter age gaps might make the connections feel more realistic. While it’s always possible that a larger gap could emerge if the oldest woman and youngest man connect, smaller overall gaps would make more of the potential pairings feel genuinely viable. Once the age difference reaches ten years or more, it becomes harder for both the participants and the audience to imagine a lasting relationship beyond the show.

Should have made Noona Soona!!!!!
I binged watched all ten episodes-- I love the older woman younger man dynamic-- The HOSTs were amazing all of them completely entertaining couldn't wait for their commentary -- it's nice to see all these young dudes squirming to get the older Noona -- unfortunately it shows in some cases how much they have to grow but for the most part the guys did well staying adult -- I noticed a cultural difference in that the men were not comfortable with the Noona making more than them--I don't know if that was for show or if in their culture it is not manly for the woman to make more -- either way silly thing if your together isn't it just a wash -- I really liked that they all had such interesting Careers especially the Prima Ballerina can't figure out why none of the guys went for her so far -- she is as cute as a button, flexible and a body that is no joke if you like a pixey body -- I have no idea why almost all the men liked the one lady ( the photographer) she was cool but no more interesting than the others -- I liked the dentist was my favorite lady and the chef was my favorite male just salt of the earth types -- I hope at least one match comes out of this I fun watch for sureWas this review helpful to you?
Not easy to commit when you borderline force them to speed date in a week.
While a quick seven days of dating might work for a show like Single’s Inferno when the stakes for participants are low and we know they are here for exposure, to give such a little time to a group of people who actually need more space and time to consider their choices is weird. Women in their late 30s don’t really just jump to be in a non-serious relationship, it is a commitment and a week is not enough time to actually make it.They settled on these seven days? Okay. Use them to the fullest. Give them opportunities to get to know each other in various ways. For example, make them chat through messages without showing their faces and pick dates based on that. We just saw a lot of first dates, but not much actual connection. It was mostly just frustrating to watch.
Only people who literally picked each other almost every time had a chance to get to know more about the other person. Everyone else was confused, and of course they were - they did not know each other much even after the seven days passed.
On the bright side - I actually enjoyed the panelists. Yes, sometimes their takes did not land in reality, but listening to their different perspectives was still a fun. Jang Woo Young impersonating Mu Jin was hilarious. I also appreciate how the “noonas” were actually much older than the guys. We knew early on that at least one age gap is 10+ years, but somehow I thought most people are closer to each other - maybe 5-7 years apart.
And here comes the best part of the whole production - casting Mu Jin. No idea where they found him, but this man is just too good to be true. I am honestly surprised all the women were not fighting over him.
On the other hand, the production failed with the location. I didn’t really like the house - I think the layout did not invite people to interact much. Guys were mostly sitting in their space, and girls were mostly sitting in theirs. Rather than women and men staying on different floors, they should have mixed it up so they would be forced to interact more.
Overall, I loved the idea, I liked the participants and the panelists, but the format just did not work. With the idea of potential conflict and issues that come with large age gaps, they should make sure they give all people involved more time to get to know each other, not less…

Real life Noona Romance
I normally an not a reality show watcher, but from the first episode the immediate spark between Bonhee and Mujin was captivating and undeniable. I just had to keep watching to see what's going on with them. They were the most interesting the entire time. It's so fascinating that despite them being the couple with the biggest age difference being 12 years. they were very much of the same mindset of coming into this seriously looking for someone to date with marriage in mind. When they went on that date and kept saying they wanting to hiking at these specific high level difficulty places with their husband or wife respectively and then made matching rings, they were were so on the same page. I haven't gotten to see the special episode, I hope everything works out for them.
It's nice for Yeong Gyeong and Hyeon Jun to end up together too. Him missing taking care of her is so sweet. I think what's important in any relationship regardless of the age difference between the two adult people is maturity and both sides have it.
So Hyun is so lively and pretty, she deserves so much better than Sang Hyeon who is so wishy washy and I don't know if it's an editing thing, but he was clearly extremely late to the meeting spot to the point that she was leaving, but he didn't even apologize.
I'm neutral to the hosts, they didn't do too much or too little.

A fresh take on a beloved genre
So when it's men dating much younger women it's a dating show but when it's a woman doing it it's a noona dating show? This show is created in response this exact gender descriminination. If you're looking for an in-depth analysis of the sociopolitical basis of dating, read something. This show is showing rather than telling. And what it shows are age gap couples navigating the early stages of attraction. The cast is interesting enough to give some laughs and the camaraderie between the women is especially great.
It was refreshing to watch a show with mature contestands, I'm not getting invested in the romance of a 23-year-old ever again. The women were all well-rounded and accomplished, but the men though younger were too. Some lacked communication skills, but this added drama, especially in the latter episodes.
There is one couple that will inevitably capture your heart and don't be afraid to ship it! Such anadulterated affection!
