K-Drama
Good, But Needed A Nudge
A very decent effort to tell a story that goes beyond a sequence of cute moments and repetitive rom-com storylines. It certainly has some very fun, sweet and dramatic moments, yet doesn't commit enough to make it a truly memorable series. The writing could have been better and lingered more on some aspects that form the core of the story and flesh them out properly.Regarding the acting, everyone did a good job. Teshow and Ping, for a rookie couple, actually had a lot of chemistry and seemed comfortable with each other on screen, which is something you don't usually expect from a new pairing. To me, they showed a lot of potential to act in a more complex story in the future. As for Sing and Chimon, their dynamic was very adorable and they made it work. I really liked their chemistry and look forward to seeing more of them.
Overall, it's a series I would recommend. There's effort behind it and it's enjoyable to watch.

Probably one of the best GMMTV26 series. Not kidding.
I didn't know what to expect and it's just one of the best series produced by GMMTV this year. I'm not even kidding. Many times, we criticize GMMTV because of the lack of touch and tenderness between couples. And this isn't a problem here! They actually look in love. And they're SO cute!!!
The kisses are adorable! All the hugs, sniff kisses, the "I want to see your abs" jokes and everything, are so damn funny and adorable.
Also Ping wasn't my favorite actor in the past, but maybe it was a lack of chemistry, or bad directing, bcs he was sooo on point there! And Teshow is such a perfect discovery bcs he's a very good actor, and he's totally a rookie.
I love everything about it, it's so fun, great acting, lovely. It's one of those series that are utterly romantic. I finished watching and was like: so, first, I want to do tennis now. Second, I NEED A GIRLFRIEND BADLY NOW.
ALSO SINGCHIMON. How are they SO fresh? OMG! They were such a cute side couple, adorable, with their own narrative without being boring or disrupting the main narrative, everything was made with so much love and care and both couples had insane chemistry. I LOVE IT.
Ah really it's incredible. You HAVE to watch.

Sometimes simplicity is the formula to a good series
Sometimes you need a drama like this to make you feel like you wrapped in a cozy blanket. This definitely did remind me of a fan favorite BL but the dynamics definitely vary. The plot was simple and yes overused. The old tale of family feud over a silly reason that ruined the friendships of the two neighbour kids yet destiny made them fall in love. Yet they brewed the same story well with great direction, acting and emotions. It started with less substance but eventually carried a lot of depth. It showed how the unmindful acts of elders can cause underlying trauma in kids. A great moral to take away from the story.
The direction was simple and clean. I loved the color grading which gave it a distinct modern Thai drama style. The ost was fun. I was enjoying the tennis scenes at first but sometimes I felt they could have cut down some on that because they were prolonging the main content. I also hoped to see a little more on the tennis training. Nonetheless it was a good work.
Teshow really surprised me. I remembered seeing him Dark Dice and he has not only improved alot but also his versatility showed through this. Ping definitely knows his way through micro expression. The pair has such good on cam chemistry and off cam genuinely looked like they were enjoying filming. Sing and Chimon had so much chemistry even without doing anything. The senior actors were amazing and so were the supporting cast.
A must watch if you are looking for a comfort show.

Predictable and Missing Major Conflicts
I love a rivals to lovers trope, don't get me wrong - but I feel like Match Point missed the mark on having the major conflicts that I expected of a show like this. It seemed like everything worked out way too easily, leaving the show feeling a bit bland. While I thought the actors did a good job, it just felt like it was missing the moments that would've packed a much bigger punch.Sun (Ping) and Bay (Teshow) have grown up next door to each other with their families running competing restaurants. The families hate each other, and this is also apparent in Sun and Bay's rivalry at school. Determined to annoy Sun, Bay enters the tennis tryouts even though he hasn't played in years and, due to Sun's injury, manages to beat him. When they decide on a rematch, their fathers also decide to put their businesses on the line: whoever's son wins gets to keep their business open. However, when Bay and Sun start playing doubles instead of competing, the two become much closer and start to realize just how petty their family feud is as their true feelings come to light.
This show felt like every other rivals to lovers show that GMM has done, except it didn't even give me the angsty scenes that I wanted! I'm all for using tropes that are well-liked; frankly, I only watched this show because I love rivals to lovers! But I felt like all of the internal and external conflicts were solves very easily. It's expected that we get the internal struggle of "I've always hated this person, what are these new feelings" along with the external struggle of parents finding out and not being supportive etc., but it felt like all of these were extremely minor conflicts in terms of the show. I wanted some good old fashioned angst, complete with a good cry and a cliffhanger at the end of some episodes. Instead, it seemed like each conflict was resolved within-episode, even when these major conflicts definitely should've taken some time to play out. If you want a happy, easy to watch show with relatively minor conflicts, you'd probably like this one! However, if you're looking for a bit more Bad Buddy style sneaking around, lying to parents, and emotional coming out scenes, this one might not be it.

FIRST IMPRESSION
It's another enemies-to-lovers series but it also has its own storyline. I'm interested in how the story will unfold, specifically, how their feelings would develop or at what point would they recognize having a romantic feeling with each other. I'm interested also with their pairing, TeshowPing. So hoping for the best. Was this review helpful to you?
sweet tennis based romance
Overall: it was sweet, nothing stood out as awful or amazing to me. Aired on GMMTV Official YouTube Channel https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLANeHjG60fRgWhat I Liked
- easy to understand premise
- visuals
- caring moments
- how he kept playing in the finale
- showed how something can work in an era of technology
Room For Improvement
- voice over/flash forward start
- that the first three pranks were instigated by the same person
- the emotional scenes did not work for me

An old trope with a 2026 production

my tofu!!!

Pourtant le début me laissait craindre l'inverse.
