
Another idol-actor will reportedly join the upcoming Netflix original K-drama Scandal.
On February 27, media outlets revealed that After School's Nana will join the cast of the upcoming K-drama remake of the 2003 film Untold Scandal.
Nana's agency Sublime responded to the casting reports. According to them, "Nana did receive the offer to star in Scandal and she is positively reviewing it."
This K-drama could mark Nana's return to Netflix. Her last Netflix appearance was in the 2023 original series Mask Girl alongside Lee Han Byeol, Go Hyun Jung, Ahn Jae Hong, Yeom Hye Ran, and Shin Ye Seo.
Aside from Scandal, Nana will also star in the upcoming crime thriller K-drama Climax with Ha Ji Won, Ju Ji Hoon, Oh Jung Se, and Cha Joo Young.
She will also star in the upcoming movies Omniscient Reader: The Prophecy with Ahn Hyo Seop, Lee Min Ho, Chae Soo Bin, Shin Seung Ho, BLACKPINK's Kim Ji Soo, and Andong with Byun Yo Han.
Scandal will be the remake of the 2003 film and the story will be adapted from the French novel Les Liaisons Dangereuses by Pierre Choderlos-de-Laclos. The K-drama will be set in the Joseon Dynasty.
The upcoming K-drama will be led by Son Ye Jin, Ji Chang Wook, SECRET's Han Sun Hwa, and SF9's Chani.
Nana will reportedly portray the role of Madam Suk, the same character that was portrayed by actress Jeon Do Yeon in the 2003 film. SHe is a widow who remained celibate for nine years.
Director Jung Ji Woo (Somebody, Tune in for Love, and Heart Blackened) will helm the star studded K-drama.
According to reports, the filming of Scandal will begin around late March to early April.
Scandal will premiere on Netflix and will reportedly have a total of 8 episodes.
