SBS Friday–Saturday drama, Queen Mantis gives a glimpse of a serial killer mother and her detective son carrying out a joint investigation.

Queen Mantis tells the story of Jung Yi Shin (Go Hyun Jung), the Mantis, a serial killer locked up in prison. When someone starts imitating her crime style, she starts working with her son Cha Su Yeol (Jang Dong Yoon), who has hated her his whole life, to catch the culprit.

The teaser opens with a voiceover informing that a crime imitating "Mantis" Jung Yi Shin's murders from 23 years ago has occurred, and Cha must meet his mother to catch his culprit. However, upon hearing this, he explodes with rage, shouting, "You're telling me to meet who?"

The screen then rapidly cuts between Cha Su Yeol and other police officers struggling to solve the case, and Jung Yi Shin sitting in a room with a sketch in front of her, hinting the mother and son will collaborate to solve the crime. At last, the serial killer mother and her detective son come face-to-face. Cha Su Yeol taunts her with, "Killing five people wasn't enough for you?" to which Jung Yi Shin retorts, "Even if the world knows who I am, shall I still stay by your side?"

Following this, Jung Yi Shin is shown walking with her hands and feet bound, followed by a scene of her and Cha Su Yeol meeting each other at a mysterious location — accompanied by Jung Yi Shin’s chilling voice saying, "So we meet, like this. Hello?" The teaser intercuts images of Jung Yi Shin and Cha Su Yeol, who seem completely different yet strangely alike.

Queen Mantis is set to premiere on September 5. News about the K-drama's global OTT is yet to come. Check out the teaser here.
