Kyung Soo Jin is shocked by her sister's medically inexplicable symptoms in 'Holy Night: Demon Hunte
Holy Night: Demon Hunters has released character stills featuring Kyung Soo Jin (Mouse, Shadow Detective)and Jung Ji So.
Holy Night: Demon Hunters is an action-horror thriller that follows Ba Woo (Ma Dong Seok), Sharon (Seo Hyun), and Kim Goon (David Lee), who come to eradicate the forces of darkness as a cult that worships evil has plunged the city into chaos.
Kyung Soo Jin takes on the role of Jung Won, an older sister who must save her younger sibling from a demon that has stolen her soul. Desperate to save her sibling, Jung Won tries every possible method to cure the mysterious symptoms but, unable to find answers through medicine, she ultimately turns to the Holy Night team for help.
Kyung Soo Jin delivers a nuanced performance, portraying a sister who refuses to give up on her possessed sibling. She seamlessly transitions between the role of a protector and a doctor forced to helplessly watch her sister in pain and despair.
The actress stated, "I believed that Jung Won's perspective aligns with that of the audience. I focused on how to express reactions differently from the Holy Night team when [my character] encounters demons or experiences bizarre phenomena."
Jung Ji So comes as Eun Seo, the younger sister possessed by a demon. The actress seamlessly portrays a wide emotional spectrum, from an ordinary girl to a possessed soul overwhelmed by strange, uncontrollable symptoms.
Recalling her first meeting with director Im Dae Hee, who is said to be an occult enthusiast just like the actress, Jung Ji So shared, "From the very first conversation, we connected effortlessly, which made it easy to immerse myself in the role."
Additionally, to give the audience the feeling of "wanting to protect [the character], [her] being in danger, and making the viewer feel at a loss," she also put effort into researching Eun Seo. She added, "Because of Eun Seo's movement-based action scenes, I committed myself to action training and research for two to three months in advance."
Holy Night: Demon Hunters will hit theaters on April 30.
