tvN releases stills featuring Park Bo Young's second character, Yoo Mi Rae, in the upcoming drama Our Unwritten Seoul.
Our Unwritten Seoul is a coming-of-age story of twin sisters who look the same but are opposite in every other way, switching lives in search of a real life of their own.
Previously, stills featuring the younger twin, Yoo Mi Ji, were released, heightening curiosity about the character of Yoo Mi Rae, who is her complete opposite.
Yoo Mi Rae is a perfectionist working in the planning and strategy team of a public corporation, and the elder twin sister of Yoo Mi Ji. A self-proclaimed "eomchin-ddal" (short for "mom's friend's daughter," meaning the ideal daughter everyone compares to), she has walked the elite path from her school days to her career. After landing a job and moving to Seoul, she is envied by her townspeople.
Though it seems that Yoo Mi Rae has it all — a respectable job and a sharp, no-nonsense personality — she carries a wound she's never told anyone about. This piques curiosity about what secret she's been keeping deep in her heart.
The newly released stills capture the Seoul life of Yoo Mi Rae. Sitting at a bus stop after another regular day at work, she wears an emotionless and drained countenance. Interest grows in her story and what could have gone wrong in her seemingly perfect life.
Meanwhile, Park Bo Young's striking transformation in portraying Yoo Mi Rae — completely different from the bubbly Yoo Mi Ji — is also attention-grabbing. Her neatly tied-back hair, buttoned-up collar, and empty gaze highlight the contrast between the twin sisters.
Our Unwritten Seoul premieres on May 24. News about the K-drama's global OTT platform is yet to come.
