Director Yoo discusses the making of 'The WONDERfools'
The upcoming horror thriller Shaving (literal title) has wrapped up filming and unveiled stills!
On May 8, Star Platinum Co., Ltd. shared, "Shaving wrapped filming in March and is currently in post-production. We are currently preparing for a theatrical release in the second half of this year."
Shaving is a psychological horror thriller that tells the story of novelist Su Yeon (Roh Jeong Eui), who, carrying wounds from her past, tries to build a new life in a countryside mansion. The story unfolds as she spends time in the isolated mansion with her warm-hearted lover on a holiday break.
Roh Jeong Eui transforms into Su Yeon, a novelist living with trauma from her past. Co-starring opposite her is Kasamatsu Show, a rising Japanese star who also starred in the SBS drama Taxi Driver Season 3. He transforms into Shin Ji, the warm-hearted lover who stays by Su Yeon as she lives with the scars of her past.
Shin Ryu Jin takes on the role of Su Yeon's friend Mi Na. Byun Yo Han also joins the cast.
The newly released stills feature Su Yeon and Shin Ji — emotional cuts of the main characters and scenes capturing the film's tension-filled atmosphere. The expressions of the characters, each carrying different emotions, along with the scene of the two within an isolated place, foreshadow the deep sense of immersion the film strives to deliver.
Shaving is scheduled for release in the second half of this year. Stay tuned!
