JTBC releases a new teaser for The Dream Life of Mr. Kim.
The Dream Life of Mr. Kim tells the story of Kim Nak Su (Ryu Seung Ryong), a middle-aged career man, who, after losing everything he valued, discovers his true self — not as a manager at a large corporation, but as his genuine self — following a long journey.
The teaser humorously depicts the struggles of ordinary office worker Kim Nak Su (Ryu Seung Ryong), who dreams of becoming a "managing director." Burning with passion, Kim races toward an executive position, earning admiration from his juniors who say, "You're amazing."
However, reality after work is quite different. His wife, Park Ha Jin (Myung Se Bin), refuses to bend to her husband's opposition and insists on her own way, while his son, Kim Su Gyeom (Cha Kang Yoon), firmly rejects the idea of joining a major corporation. Both at home and at work, things refuse to go smoothly, and Kim Nak Su's pride gradually crumbles.
To make matters worse, an unexpected accident occurs at the company, placing Kim Nak Su on a crucial test that will determine his promotion to executive. If he successfully resolves the incident, he could become a hero and achieve a heroic promotion to executive rank — but if he fails, even his standing within the company could be shaken.
At the end of the teaser, a personnel transfer notice that will determine the fate of the employees appears, sparking curiosity over whether Kim Nak Su will be able to cross the threshold to the executive position he has long dreamed of.
The Dream Life of Mr. Kim is coming October 25. The K-drama will be streaming on Netflix.
