Im Ji Yeon in talks to star in 'The Prince and the Pauper' reimagining
JTBC's My Youth, starring Song Joong Ki and Chun Woo Hee, has confirmed its premiere for September 5.
My Youth follows Seon Woo Hae (Song Joong Ki), once a beloved child actor who lost his light due to greed of adults around him, now lives quietly as a novelist and florist. His calm life is disrupted when Seong Je Yeon (Chun Woo Hee), his first love from a decade ago, suddenly reappears. Together, they once endured their darkest days, and their reunion stirs long-buried memories. Je Yeon, now a team leader at Feel Entertainment, after suffering from her family's sudden downfall, lives only for success.
Present at the script reading were director Lee Sang Yeob, writer Park Si Hyeon, along with actors Song Joong Ki, Chun Woo Hee, Lee Joo Myung, Seo Ji Hoon, Jin Kyung, Jo Han Chul, Yoon Byung Hee, and Lee Bong Ryun.

Song Joong Ki transforms into Sun Woo Hae, a former child star who rose to the prime of his life too quickly but now works as a florist. After his short heyday ended, he spent his twenties struggling to make a living, becoming someone who built a solid life atop wounds he endured.
Chun Woo Hee comes as Seong Je Yeon, a fierce manager who likes things to be clear and straightforward. She ends up shattering Sun Woo Hae's peace, who had been living an ordinary life, and, in turn, comes to face memories and emotions she had long forgotten.
Joining Song and Chun are seasoned actors. Jin Kyung takes on the role of Kim Pil Du, the CEO of a leading entertainment company and Kim Seok Joo's (Seo Ji Hoon) mother. She is a woman who would do anything to have as much as she wants.
Jo Han Chul plays Sun Woo Chan, a carefree romantic poet and Sun Woo Hae's father, who also happens to be the one admired by the cold, success-driven Kim Pil Du.
Yoon Byung Hee transforms into Lee Geon No, Sun Woo Hae's friend since childhood. Lee Bong Ryun plays Bang Han Na, a passionate management team leader.
The production team of My Youth stated, "My Youth is the story of people who make flowers bloom again in places where they thought everything had already passed and withered away. Please look forward to the Hwaryangyeonhwa — most beautiful moment in life —that will be brought to completion by actors with exceptional depth in their performances."

My Youth is coming September 5. The K-drama will be streaming on Viu (select regions).
