Update

The production team of I Live in Your Time issued a statement refuting the rumours:

Recently, the production team has noticed numerous false discussions and rumors about the drama circulating online. In order to clarify the facts and avoid misleading the public, we hereby issue the following formal statement:

Since the official start of filming for I Live in Your Time, all cast and crew members have consistently upheld a professional, rigorous, and dedicated creative attitude to their work, devoting themselves fully to the production of the drama. All participating actors have approached every scene with seriousness, refining their characters and doing their utmost to complete their performances, committing to filming with professionalism.

In response to the recent unfounded rumors online, the production team provides the following clarification:

1. Regarding the online claim about an actor turning back on set, this content has been taken out of context and seriously misrepresents what actually happened on site. The incident took place in an ordinary residential building area. During filming, an individual not part of the production crew suddenly shouted the actor's name loudly and held out their phone to record. This occurred during a pre-filming rehearsal, and the actor was startled on set, mistakenly believing it was a work cue from the crew — contrary to what has been claimed online.

2. Regarding the online claim that "the actor caused multiple NGs on set, leading the crew to finish late," this is a malicious fabrication intended to undermine the unity of the production team. The time at which filming wrapped was the result of normal scheduling for shooting multiple angles, and is entirely unrelated to the actor's professionalism or on-set performance.

3. Regarding the online claims about the "3-2-1" heard during filming, "3-2-1" is a standard on-set cue used by the production team and is unrelated to the actor's lines.

4. As for rumours circulating online, such as "a few shots took an entire afternoon" and "filming went on until midnight," these have been verified as untrue. They claims were not made by production staff and have no connection to the actor; all of it falls within normal filming procedures. The production team will further standardize on-set management going forward. We ask the public not to believe or spread rumors, and to help maintain a healthy online environment.

Actors Zhang Ruo Nan and Wang An Yu (listed in no particular order) consistently maintained a high level of professionalism throughout the filming, actively cooperating with all production arrangements, and their professional conduct [on set] has been evident to all.

In addition, since filming began, this drama has attracted significant attention. A large number of fans and proxy photographers have gathered and crowded around the filming locations, disrupting the production's normal filming [schedule]. Hereby, the production team sincerely appeals to the public and fans to follow [and stay updated with] the drama's production rationally, refrain from crowding and gathering around the set, and [engaging in] proxy photography to maintain order and a safe filming environment.

The production team has always placed the personal safety of all cast and crew, as well as a good working environment, as its top priority. Going forward, on-site security and filming management will be further strengthened to ensure that filming proceeds smoothly in an orderly manner and to foster a focused and safe environment for all creators.

We sincerely thank all sectors of society and the general audience for their attention and support for I Live in Your Time. All members of the production team will continue to refine the project with dedication and repay everyone's [support and] expectations with high-quality results. We kindly ask you to patiently await the drama's official release!

Hereby declared.

On April 17, rumors circulated online that Zhang Ruo Nan had delayed filming progress by responding to fans, sparking widespread discussion. The topic "Zhang Ruonan distracted while filming on set" trended on search.

In response, the actress's studio (@章若楠official) publicly called out the production team of I Live in Your Time, @想把你和时间藏起来官微, saying, "What are the facts? Why don't you come out and say a few words?"

Earlier, a video circulated showing Zhang Ruo Nan and Wang An Yu filming a scene. In the clip, Zhang Ruo Nan turned her head after hearing someone call her, which led to a debate online among Chinese netizens about her focus while filming.

I Live in Your Time is an urban drama that follows producer Shen Qian Zhan, who, to make a story centered on intangible cultural heritage, invites ancient clock restoration specialist Ji Qing He to serve as a consultant.

In the Chinese drama, Zhang Ruo Nan plays Shen Qian Zhan, a producer constantly chased by time — her phone is always ten minutes fast, and her life is a race against the clock, though she quietly hides a softer side beneath her busy routine. Wang An Yu plays Ji Qing He, a watch repairer, someone willing to let time "stand still" — maintaining his own pace in a fast-moving world.
